I’m an artist living in rural Texas, where I find inspiration in the beauty of nature, my love for animals, and the quirks of life that make it so unique. I started painting during a deeply personal time—while caring for my mom. It became an outlet for creativity and self-expression, and now it’s a big part of who I am.

My Passions:

Animals: I’m passionate about caring for and remembering my pets, including my beloved blue heeler Rio, my guinea pig Ginger, and my little black cat Jet. They’ve left pawprints on my heart forever. 💖 I also have Daisy, my wiener dog from hell and an expert hunter, who keeps me on my toes!

Landscaping: I love spending time outside, creating beautiful spaces around my home.

Metal Detecting & Fossil Hunting: One of my quirkiest hobbies is hunting for North Texas shark’s teeth in Sherman and Ladonia, Texas, and uncovering treasures from the past with my metal detector. It’s a little random but it is a lot of fun!

Mixed media on panel (acrylic and collage) 36x48inches (92x122cm), completed in 2019. Bougainvillea, painted from a photo I took a couple of decades ago when scott and I were visiting Isla Mujeres, in México. This painting has been hard for me to get a good photo of. I suppose I need to find someone who knows what they are doing to photograph my work. I will post some additional closeups where you can see the details.
