Happy New Year everyone! In January I’ll make a recap series of 2022 for me to remember what had happened in 12 months. I start with my debutalbum „Heartware“ what has been a giant step in my career but also personally. Although there have been some offers from other labels i decided to release it on my own label @bungalo_disco with the help of my partner Tania. Without her Heartware would not be as nice and cool as it is. She spent lots of time, love and energy in designing the cover and booklet. The most important point for releasing it on my own label was to have 100% creative control and freedom in any step without making any compromises or having discussions. Although it was a lot of work from the very first note till bringing the final product into the stores worldwide it was absolutely worth doing it exactly this way. Another important decision was not to put it out on spotify, itunes, amazon, etc. in the first step. At the moment it’s available on vinyl on bandcamp, physical recordstores worldwide and digital recordstores as well. Besides that it’s available on cd and tape and as digital download exclusively on bandcamp. Thank you @robertdrewek and your team from @dbh_music_distribution for making an amazing distribution job to have this album in stores worldwide and for believing in Bungalo Disco since the very first record! i love people in vintage tech bcoz theyre like yeah i found a copy of this obscure programme noone has cared about for thirtyfive years on a floppydisc i found in the gutter so i went ahead and archived it just incase anyone needs it and then fifteen years later it somehow saves someones life and its all thanks to forum user chokeonmybigmacintosh1976

Japan decides it's time to stop using floppy disks

Japan's digital minister, Taro Kono, stated this week during a press conference that he was striving to move administrative processes online. He tweeted in English earlier last week, "Digital Minister declares a war on floppy discs." The Digital Agency will alter those rules so you can utilize the internet.

The answer is quite simple: It’s a picture of four coloured 3,5“ floppy discs of mine that have been labeled with the tracks of the album.
