Can’t remember who said this exactly, but one person mentioned that all ancient breeds break the modern’s rules in 1 or 2 ways, so we shouldn’t expect anything super crazy in the future, and their probably right, but we’re gonna run out of simple rules to break pretty soon.

Gaolers: Very small wings

Banescale: no arms

Veilspun: insect wings

Aberrations: two heads, two tails

Undertide: no legs

Aether: 4 wings, butterfly wings, 6 legs

Sandsurge: fan-like wings

One way we could predict what the next ancient breed will be, is to look at what rule breaks we have left:

8 or more legs, no wings at all, more than 2 tails, wings made of plants, wings made of smoke or something, completely feathered wings, beak, feathered arms?

Anyone got other ideas?

For the nature ancient, my money is on ether hulking creature with plants on it’s back instead of wings, or a dinosaur like thing with feathered wing-arms. A prehensile tail would be cool to.
