Flickerclaw - An intelligent and introverted tom. Flickerclaw lacks confidence in front of other cats but he will try to speak up if he believes that he can help of if he thinks something is wrong. He has a knack for noticing small details and he is a great hunter because of it and he’s good at spotting liars, 15/10

Talonscratch - A bold and courageous she-cat. Talonscratch is a born fighter, she is strong and swift and is more than capable of handling more than one foe at once. Once you have Talonscatch’s loyalty she will be on your side for life, so it isn’t something she pledges lightly. She is good at rallying cats and encouraging them to fight, and she is more than happy to lead the charge, 15/10

Frogfoot - A friendly and skilful tom. Frogfoot is a great jumper which is the main reason behind his name, this allows him to be great at hunting and he can easily surprise a cat if needed. Frogfoot is generally a friendly tom and he tries his best to get along with everybody where he can, but he won’t let this nature get in the way of doing the right thing, but he will try his best to bridge any gaps between clanmates, 14/10

Stonepelt - A serious and intelligent tom. Stonepelt often comes across as disciplined and distant, he puts his clan above all other things dedicated himself to helping is clan and his clanmates. He is a brilliant tactician and great at improvising in a tight spot, 13/10

Ravenflight- A skilful and courageous she-cat. Ravenflight will willingly step into the unknown, although she will do so with caution where it is required. Ravenflight is a great fighter and is great at improvising moves in the heat of battle, often incorporating her surroundings into them. She will often be the first to suggest a particularly bold plan, and always the first cat to volunteer to do the most dangerous parts of any plan, 15/10

System Brightheart is amazing but I raise you: system Littlecloud. He has OSDD-1b, so he doesn't have amnesia/has limited amnesia. I don't have much in the way of alters for him, but I imagine he probably has factives of his brothers (Wetfoot and Brownpaw, who I assume died young in canon) and of Badgerfang. There's also a snappy molly who is a lot like Yellowfang in attitude but she's got a different appearance (a black-based tortoiseshell with a white chin and green eyes) and she's a protector (I'm thinking her name is Flickerclaw?)

Oh this is. a very interesting ask. The lists won’t be in like in any particular order but here’s their top five!

CREEKCLAN

MOSSFUR is very family-oriented, so her top five cats are all family. She has difficulty forming meaningful relationships with cats outside of her kin, so while she considers a lot of cats her friends (even those from other Clans, like Dawncloud in NettleClan and Rockpelt in JaggedClan), she isn’t extremely close with anyone. But to give her more room, I’ll consider her family in groups!

oh shit, here we go again...anyone remember these old things? well! here’s a long overdue update. new clanmates, new lineart, new everything! here i’ve collected every current nettleclan cat that is not an npc and shoved them into one big post! i plan on doing the same for every group in threeclans eventually, but as the very first clan, nettleclan just had to be the first to get sorted through, of course.

Honeyflame or Flickerclaw for the ideal date meme?

okay, so it might have taken me a while to get on board with it, but...i do think honeyflame and dapplecloud could be sweet. honeyflame’s had such misfortune in her romantic life that she deserves someone dedicated and simple, and i cannot see dapplecloud ever doing wrong by her. they’re both getting older now, and though they don’t quite have it in them to have any wild interactions, i think that would make them a great pair now. they both clearly care for each other, after all, and i think it’d be sweet to see them finally just settle down together, honeyflame tending to dapplecloud and dapplecloud helping her through her emotional baggage. 

flickerclaw was kind of puzzling me, but after a bit of thinking...you know, i think he and flintheart might be interesting. they’ve been in similar places in their lives struggling with feelings of not belonging or being cast aside, but have both coped with that in very different ways. flickerclaw has had more conviction in himself while flintheart totally believed he was at fault for every wrong thing in his life, and because of that, i think they’d be able to give each other an interesting perspective. they both tend to deal with negative things via a sort of cynicism, i feel, an “all is lost” mindset, and so if they were able to connect with each other they might be able to realize that hey, not everything is terrible, and things that are damaged can be rebuilt. i also think it’s neat that they are both such family-focused characters, at least in theory, but while flintheart clings to the remaining kin he has for comfort, flickerclaw has been totally cast out of his family. it’d be sweet for him to find a place again in a family if he were ever to become involved with flintheart, and these two grumpy boys uniting would just be interesting, in my opinion! plus, i mean...flickerclaw has a thing for toms with herb knowledge, right? ;)

Who are you two favourite cats in each clan you're in? And why?

NettleClan:

Pansykit -

I think this one should have been pretty easy to anticipate, but I absolutely adore Pansykit. I've been so closely involved in her since before she was born and watching her growth through kithood alone has been amazing. Words cannot stress enough how excited I am to watch her develop through apprenticeship and see her gentle, kind nature grow. I think the relationship she has with Tansykit is great because they both foil one another so well. Pansykit mirrors Tansykit's cold, isolationist nature while Tansykit mirrors Pansykit's caring, sweet nature. They work so well as a duo, especially so when the twin aspect is added onto them. I have so much love in my heart for Pansykit. She is so perfect and I will die for her. @leafwhisker

Flickerclaw -

Okay I'll be honest and say I haven't always been a Flickerclaw stan. It was really easy to see him as a character through the lense of Spark, and it was ironically as Spark began to let go of his anger at Raven and Maple that I began to appreciate Flicker's unique and interesting arc. Watching his fish-out-of-water narrative, seeing those emotions as Raven gravitated away from him and left him with a similar sense of loneliness that he left Aspen with? SO cool to see, and its awesome to watch how that experience allowed Flicker to realize the faults in his own actions and reach out to Spark (and hopefully lter Aspen) to apologize. I really love the way hes grown up and how he had to learn the hard way that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. I can't wait to see more with him regarding Hawk and Daisy as well- that's going to be such a unique thing to see. @mintswhisker

JaggedClan:

Swallowstorm -

An answer that shocks no one- I fucking love Swallowstorm. I would jump in front of a moving train for her. I would give Swallowstorm my left kidney. I love Swallowstorm. I've always had a soft spot for nasty girl characters and Swallowstorm is the nastiest girl there is. I'm heartbroken that I joined Jagged so late just because it means I missed out on a lot of her earlier development, but seeing her through the lense of Doerunner has honestly made her character that much more charming. I think Swallow's obsession with power and control is a really unique and captivating thing- I can't really think of another character that approaches this in a way as awesome and dynamic as her. The way she would go as far as to hurt herself and others around her just to keep that reality in tact for herself, the way she isolates herself just to tell herself the lie that it has to be this way because nobody else will understand, as well as to justify the way the cats closest to her have abandoned her/betrayed her trust. Her ego is too big for her own good, and to watch her repeatedly reach her breaking point, fall deeper into that dark mindset, only to place the limits of that breaking point further is so fucking awesome. I could honestly go on for paragraphs about all the subtleties I love about Swallowstorm, shes just genuinely so well written and dynamic and three dimensional. I'll be selfish for a bit and go on about how fun its been to reach out to that cold, broken cat through Doerunner, who's also broken but just in such a fundamentally different way. Seeing this relationship between Doe and Swallow where Doe tries to find her worth in befriending cats where Swallow finds her worth in pushing them away? So fucking GOOOOD. Especially when Swallowstorm is the one cat in JaggedClan who saved Doerunner, who literally kept her from freezing to death in the snow. Idk. Idk. I'm soft.

Mousetail -

My MOM. I love miss Mouse, especially because I'm one of the people who was lucky enough to see her shift from NettleClan to JaggedClan. To watch her go from lonely, angry, and hostile to the loving, gentle, and happy cat she is in JaggedClan has been such an awesome development to watch. I like how her happiness didn't come without a price- her scene leaving Crowstar behind, the way she's confronted Lavenderstrike after the way her kits were targeted, her overall apprehensive nature regarding her new clanmates is really nice to watch, her acclimation as a JaggedClan cat is slow and methodical and I like that a lot. It feels realistic and allows for a lot more growth and potential in the future. I'm really excited for her kits to reach six moons because there's so many more confrontations to see that are going to be absolutely great. I can't wait for Duststorm and Swiftstrike to meet her again, for them to view how far she's come in six moons, for Crowstar to see the way her family has grown, for Mottlepelt and her to speak again- there's a lot for Mouse to face in the future and I cannot WAIT to see how it goes. @currentfangs

Butterfly -

Miss Butterfly.... my darling to-be. In the same way I'm soft on nasty girls, I'm also soft on characters with severe family trauma and Butterfly has that by the fucking BOATLOAD. The way she's been written through it all has been such a treat to watch, her using that obsession with the truth and being a well behaved, perfect cat to cope??? PEAK writing. I can hardly believe shes over a year old now as a character. I love the way she started fearful and anxious of the world because of how much it hurt her to a cat who, while still having some anticipation and fear, has a bit more confidence, especially through her relationship with Firefly and Spark. I just wuv her so much and I can't wait to see her function as an adult cat in the tribe! I can't wait to see her bond with her peers, meet Spark's kits, develop more with Butterfly and Fading. Shes a perfect little darling girl and I'll die for her. (Leo its not letting me tag you so I'll just DM you lol)

Aspen Snow -

Last but not least, miss Aspen. She's one of the first characters I got to develop a meaning, worthwhile relationship with. I've watched her go to an angry, spunky kid to a complex, hurt adult. She's an interesting look into a character who just can't seem to catch a break and is a great mix of a character who doesn't know how to pull herself out of her hurt. I like how over the course of time, she developed into a cat who's too closed off about her emotions while Spark became a cat who's open with his emotions to a fault. They balance one another out when they're together, but apart they both spiral out of control in opposite directions. Her complicated relationships with all her siblings really symbolizes how her horrible early on experiences leaves her inable to bond with them now in a healthy way. Her relationship with her season makes it so her emotions, so bottled up, explode in drastically unhealthy ways when they reach their boiling point and those instances only serve to haunt Aspen Snow and lead her to believe she's a worse cat than she really is. I want to see a healing arc with her SO badly man

002 | give me a character and i will tell you...

how i feel about this character: oh, miss nasty...aspen snow falls pretty perfectly into the type of character i often fall for; a troubled girl with a difficult life who does herself no favors by only seeming to make her own circumstances worse. she’s an absolute mess, and i just have to love her for that, even when she makes me want to pick her up by her little kitty cat scruff and shake some sense into her. she’s always been a star player in the tribe, and seeing her go from a bold young cat to one so cynical and jaded has been a really solid progression for her in my opinion. it’s not a happy one, but it makes sense that she’s ended up where she is currently when she truly sees the world as a force that just keeps knocking her back down time and time again. like i mentioned, i think she absolutely needs to have some sense knocked into her head, because while her life HAS been shitty, difficult, and troubled, there’s still plenty good in it. she has a hard time focusing on that, though, and a harder time really believing she can have good things, i feel. she’s convinced herself now that life will just keep being shitty, and she needs to get out of that mindset before it’s too late...right now she’s at her lowest low, and watching how she copes with that is super interesting, especially as some of her tough girl attitude starts to falter with the loss of perhaps the most important cat in her life. seeing her show slivers of remorse beneath all the bitterness and blame is really touching and shows that she’s not all bared teeth and snarls. underneath it, she’s still a young cat hurting, one who has never had a chance to fully come into herself and feel comfortable in the world.

all the characters i ship romantically with them: spark feather, duh. i’ve never really been able to see her with anyone else. maybe she’d drift to flaming wind in an attempt to distract herself from her deeper feelings, or maybe she’d have little flirtations here and there, but spark feather is the only cat i feel aspen snow is willing to let in enough to truly be a healthy romantic partner for her. or, well. he was. 

my non-romantic OTP for this character: i really do like aspen snow and flaming wind just as friends...they’re both struggling a lot with their own troubles, and though they cope in vastly different ways, it’s interesting to watch aspen snow’s anger rub off on flaming wind, and flaming wind’s attitude that leans toward shoving emotions down kind of take its own form in aspen snow. they both have a lot to work through, obviously, but i think they’re good for each other support wise.

my unpopular opinion about this character: this falls more under kind of something i wish had happened and less an unpopular opinion, but...i think it could have been interesting if she hadn���t rejected hawk and daisy so swiftly. i get why she did, and i think her being pissed is only realistic based on her character, but imagine an aspen snow who turned her anger directly against patched petal by trying to sway her siblings against the mother she’s come to blame for a lot of her inner feelings. it would create a really cool sort of morally gray dynamic, yknow, manipulating children and still behaving like a child all the same, still so wrapped up in her family’s grasp.

one thing i wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: it would be cool to see some aspen snow thoughts on ravenpath...we all know how she feels about flickerclaw, but does that stretch out to include ravenpath, too? is she just as pissed at him, or does she care less about a cat she’s not related to? she and ravenpath weren’t close like spark feather and ravenpath were, but they did grow up in the same generation, and seeing the aftermath of that relationship explored alongside the spark + raven and aspen + flicker dynamic would be cool!

my cross-clan ship: self indulgent, buuut snowclaw + aspen snow. it absolutely would never amount to anything, but snowclaw does canonically think she’s quite pretty...

a headcanon: for all of the calling off of her relationships aspen snow does, what she really wants is for one cat to truly challenge her about it. she tells everyone that things are over as a way of testing them, almost, seeing if they’re willing to fight back to try and keep her, because she feels unwanted and tossed aside beneath all of her harsh exterior traits. not to say being challenged wouldn’t piss her off. she’s aspen snow, of course she’d be mad...but. it would prove to her that whoever she’s decided to shove aside is willing to fight on her behalf, something she hasn’t felt any cat be willing to do since her brother left her behind.

Mousetail: an asocial little weirdo. She’s never been good at making friends or meaningful connections, and tends to gravitate towards cats that didn’t know her growing up. She has yet to find any true friends in her own clan, as most cats dislike her by default or move in different circles.

Wigeonfur: she’s a fairly social cat but she has troubles maintaining any long lasting relationships, since she had to relocate her entire life and start from scratch at a very vulnerable age. Growing up in FogClan without any other cats her age means she doesn’t quite know how to reach out, and her first few important relationships in NettleClan all ended either in death or disaster.

He didn’t really start to branch out from his immediate family until the journey when he found a friend in Beestripe, and was suddenly forced into a multitude of new roles, mainly as a caretaker for his niece and nephew and as a leader.

Aspen Snow: is angry and self-destructive and really only has one cat right now that she likes. She’s got complicated feelings towards most cats in the Tribe at best and her opinion of them can change in a heartbeat, so it’s really hard to figure out who to put for her.

002 | Give me a character & I will tell you

How I feel about this character:

Honestly, I have mixed feelings on Flickerclaw! I think his dynamic with Raven was really interesting, but since coming to NettleClan, I feel like there’s some real missed potential both with him and Raven and him and other NettleClan cats. Flickerclaw went on this epic quest with the intention of vilifying his home, only to be ultimately rejected and punished, chased away from his only driving motivation and his family. Raven was literally the only thing he really had left, and that’s bound to cause leaps and bounds in terms of changes in a cat. But sometimes I feel like these drastic changes and life-wreckings things kind of go over his head without much incident sometimes, and I would really love to see more reflection through him on these things and see him use his backstory as a means of trying to make a fresh start and reaching out to others, especially because at heart I think Flickerclaw is a pretty supportive, friendly cat. Essentially I think my opinion boils down to the fact that I think he's really interesting and has a rad personality, but I wish I got to see more of him, especially in contexts outside his arc with the tribe. 

All the people I ship romantically with this character:

Honestly, that’s a tough one! I think, potentially, him and Mottlepelt could make a cute pairing! Mottlepelt is a bit on the rebellious, confidence-filled side where I feel Flickerclaw might feel a bit more inclined to stick to NettleClan’s rules after his whole experience with the tribe, and I think Mottlepelt bringing out a more carefree side of Flickerclaw, with Flickerclaw might bring out a more compassionate, tender side of Mottlepelt could be super cute. Not to mention them both bonding over their respective non-clan backgrounds and being able to sympathize with one another’s struggles with clan life. 

My non-romantic OTP for this character:

Raven! I think after everything they’ve gone through, them just remaining as best friends, constantly being able to rely on one another for support and overall an unconditional platonic love is super great. I can easily imagine them going on long-winded talks through nighttime forest walks, complaining about how different clan life is, talking about their crushes, struggles, how they miss their families or their old home, maybe even disbelief with StarClan. I think them just always being one another’s rock, this unmoving structure of support as companions is super sweet, and there’s something that makes me happy about imagining them each starting their own families together years down the line and having their children be best friends, calling them “Uncle Flicker” and “Uncle Raven.” There’s something so fulfilling about them taking their respective fresh starts together and keeping one another in check as best friends.

My unpopular opinion about this character:

Honestly, aside from anything I might have gone over in my first post, I don’t know if I really have any outright unpopular opinions about Flickerclaw!

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

I think we talked about this once before, but some wild situation where Aspen, Spark, Flicker, and Raven were all trapped together in one closed in space, forced to be around one another could be SO funny and entertaining. I wouldn’t want them to make-up, and by no means would I want them to be friends/a family again, but them being forced to speak to one another, especially if it happened years down the line, maybe with them having families or even deeper roots in their respective homes would be so cool. Almost a parallel to when Raven and Flicker first returned to the tribe only to be fought with and chased out by Aspen and Spark.

My OTP:

I wouldn’t say i have a OTP of him just yet! I’d love to wait and see how his further interactions go with other NettleClan cats before falling in love with one potential pairing.

A headcanon fact:

Flickerclaw has hollowed out where his nest is so it’s an indent in the earth- it makes him feel a lot more comforted because it reminds him of his childhood.
