experimented with a new brush pen.
it's nahobino color so I doodled him.
-----
it's pentel fude touch sign pen, by the way. the flexible tip one.

apparently it's quite popular for handlettering? but, well, I'm totally not gonna use it for handlettering lol. it's so nice to draw with it. I like the flexible tip. but the ink is water soluble...
I usually avoid non-waterproof pens because I often use wet medias. but this time I was like, hmmm what if I purposely smear it with water...? so... yeah.
not sure if I like it but it surely has interesting effect.

Can I have some insane FIREy money saving tips pls?
I am so sorry but it is a common misconception of FIRE to think that it's about saving (and especially about ridiculous degrees of purtianical cost-cutting and self-denial). The reason that Mr Money Mustache was able to retire at 30 was because he was making early 2000's tech industry money that he could live on so easily he put fully 50% of his income into a retirement account. He did spend a lot less than his professional peers by not leasing ridiculously expensive cars, living in a modestly sized home in a cheap and walkable area, and not engaging in the rampant lifestyle inflation that is typical for that industry, but half of his advice (like "dont buy professional cleaning products, just use vinegar" and "don't get health insurance just be active") either wouldn't amount to a drop in the bucket for the average person, or isn't feasible unless you're super privileged and lucky.
now all that SAID, there are useful lessons to be gleaned from the r/leanfire world that apply to more people's situations. The biggest determinants of a person's ability to save are their housing and transportation; the most effective ways to cut one's expenses are to move to a far cheaper area (or into a cheaper housing situation, such as with roommates or van life or something), and to stop driving and instead use a bike or public transit. that CAN make a huge difference of anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars a month. anything else you can do to reduce spending on beyond that is less substantial and less controllable, but there are things one can do -- things you have probably thought of, like ending subscription payments (just pirate all your media), cooking at home, and not throwing money away on expenses that are hefty but highly socially normalized (if you're in a subculture where it is common to fly across the country for lots of friends' weddings and spend lots of money on their gifts, for example, eschewing that).
The majority of people interested in FIRE here on this blog? are people who need a lot more time to themselves and a whole lot more flexibility because they are disabled, and they're not making a ton of money. they're probably also not wasting a ton of money either -- bc they're broke. of course i could recommend things that are probably obvious like buying used phones instead of leasing them from cell phone providers, pirating media instead of paying for it, going to the gym at the park district building instead of a fancy private one -- but i think most people already know all of that and are doing their damndest.
the other side of the equation of course is to boost income -- doing freelancing or switching industries or things like that. but it's something i am also hesitant to recommend bc i dont want people burning out like i did, and it's not feasible for most of us.
personally i think the most useful part of the FIRE movement for the majority of us is advice about how to invest effectively, how to avoid getting screwed, and an affirmation that living very cheaply and independently of an employer IS possible. but it gets harder the more reliant you are upon a car, the more expensive the city is that you're living in, and if you have kids. hell, MMM even tells people that getting pets is a waste. that's just the kind of autism he has.
Again, r/leanfire is the best for practical tips and tools that will actually fit your life if youre like most of us here on this blog -- but if this is a topic you already think about a fair amount you're probably doing most of what you can already, and maybe even worrying about small expenses far too much. the whole point of FIREing is so you arent miserable. so like, dont cut out expenses that make your life more bearable. this isnt (or shouldnt be) some advocado toast shaming kinda stuff you know what i mean.

Stages Through the Ages - Part III
An Asylum History Post by @shefightslikeagirl
Part 1 || Part 2
2012: Cell Bars
Despite EA saying The Door Tour would be her last tour for Opheliac, there was a surprise mini-tour that was still Opheliac-focused: The Asylum Tour, Australia. "Fight Like A Girl" (the song) debuted on this tour, but the album wasn't quite ready to launch, so the performances were largely packed with Opheliac songs.
The set was a simplified set, since I imagine shipping anything to Australia would've cost an arm and a leg. They had The Asylum Clock, the wallpaper-print drape for the keyboard, and a small table with a black tablecloth for the props.

Australia, 2011, Harvest Festival
And that, my friends, was the end of the Opheliac Era. Come July of 2012, Fight Like A Girl would be released. But, oddly enough, the first Fight Like A Girl Tour happened before the release of the album.
Why? Who knows. But we got some brand new costumes, a new setlist, and, of course, a new set.

Various Venues, 2012
Two worlds collided. There was the Asylum Clock, some familiar props, and a redesigned drape for the keyboard. But now instead of the prop-laden, victorian-esque stage dressings we were used to, there were the "Asylum Bars." Decorated with Asylum-themed signs and some Spirit Halloween chains, the ladies now had prison bars to rattle, dramatically reach through, and climb all over.
The 2012 FLAG tour was... weird. The setlist was a mix of songs from Opheliac and songs that hadn't been released yet. I remember that we were cobbling together lyrics from shaky-cam fan recordings. If I'm not mistaken, songs were actively being added to the show as the tour went on.
(And then there was the mohawk. I don't want to talk about the mohawk.)
But! I will give this set credit where it's due. It was dynamic, interesting to look at, and incredibly flexible when it came to travel. The bars aren't anything special; they're just railings, like the ones used for crowd control at a festival. They're meant to be packed around and thrown about. It made it easy to adapt from venue to venue.

Photos: @gothiccharmschool

These bars could be moved around on stage or left out entirely. The "full" set-up was a two-tier wall of railings behind the keyboard (SR), the shadowscreen and one set of railings center-stage, and a two-tier wall with a single rail in front of it (SL). All of this was on risers. Then you had Wheelie and a small victorian table for the props. The table had casters on it, which made it easy to move around the stage.
All of this is best shown in the livestreams from that era. (I have opinions about the audio mixing for these, but we're not going to get into that.)
youtube
EA did end up traveling back to South America in late 2012, where the stage vibe was conceptually the same. In Chile, she had a plain shadow screen with some railings around the stage. In Mexico, she had a huge shadowscreen with no railings. To put it simply, results varied; I imagine she was renting her scenic from local vendors (if not the venues themselves), so she worked with what she had.

Bonus picture: the plywood plague rat, which created many an iconic shadow.

2013: The Asylum Gates
There are technically two FLAG tours in 2013. Fight Like A Girl II Tour and the Fight Like A Girl World Tour. But they were both the same, separated only by a few months. With Fight Like A Girl available to the masses, the concert setlist got an overhaul. The were a few hold outs from Opheliac -- "The Art of Suicide," "Dominant," and "Thank God I'm Pretty" -- but, overall, everything was new. Including the stage.
In come the Asylum Gates.

The Asylum Clock that we'd known and loved for so many years was dead. The shadowscreen concept returned a few times, mostly during international travel to places like Australia and South America, but it was otherwise retired. It did make a special guest appearance in Atlanta for some reason, but I don't know why.

Atlanta, 2013
Instead, we had a new icon. It was another truss build, topped with a platform and some railings with a totally not from HomeGoods clock. Two gothic-themed gates were attached to the front, which opened and closed on hinges. The whole structure was climbable, which was great, because we know how EA likes to spidermonkey around.

Also, they finally took that mohawk away from her. Wearing it for the whole show was just too weird, even for the Asylum.

Anyway.
Being made from truss, the structure was easy to reconfigure when needed. If the venue's ceiling was too low they wouldn't make the upper platform. And, like before, the railing set ups on either side of the stage could be left out entirely. Industrial and heavy as it might look, I promise you it wasn't--that's all aluminum or hollow steel. They could sling all that around without too much trouble.

Texas (right), Edinburgh (left) 2013
The drapery for the keyboard was redesigned again, this time covered in dark greys and blacks. Suffer and candles adorned it, plus an odd prop or two.
youtube
The last thing to mention is Wheelie. This tour featured Wheelie 2.0, because Wheelie 1.0 had been sold on ebay. They don't appear to be too different in design. Just a wheelchair with a lot of gold paint.

2014: The Asylum Experience (aka what the hell is going on)
The Asylum Experience was a limited run of performances during 2014 Warped Tour. It was an immersive experience headed by EA, Marc Senter, and Darren Lynn Bousman (dir., The Devil's Carnival). The Asylum Gates made an appearance on the main stage, as did the railings, but there were plenty of new pieces of eye candy:

This event is showcased best in video form. It was bizarre and unhinged and out of place and... honestly, everything EA has ever been, so it worked! Sort of. Warped tour is full of metalheads and scene kids and goths—but EA was leaning hard into the Broadway of it all, which stuck out like sore thumb. You've never lived until you've seen a confused teenager try to get a bunch of Emilie Autumn fans to mosh.
youtube

youtube
And now we come to the end of our little series!
After The Asylum Experience, EA never took her roadshow out on tour again. Outside of some appearances for The Devil's Carnival: Alleluia!, she hasn't performed live. So there's no more sets to cover!
Which one do you like the most? Peak scenic design was 2008 or 2009, imo. But 2013 did photograph very, very well.
Hope you enjoyed this little blast to the past!

psychoanalyzing chase cause i dont wanna study calculus
ENFP for sure - he is clearly directed by his Dominant Ne. In many episodes, we see his quick thought process in problem-solving (see Toffee Break VI/ep 23 as an example). He quickly musters a solution as to how to solve the problem at hand, at which Deacon says "How did you know she would save him?" and Chase responds "I didn't, but I had a hunch." He explains his thought process, which demonstrates his proficiency in reading between the lines and his people-reading skills. In this arc, we see the disparity between his and Deacon's thought processes. While Deacon works more with linear thinking and organized plans, Chase follows his intuition of what could be the best approach, working with his perception - many times unorganized, but undoubtedly more creative.
He is very directed toward the future, optimistic and, at times, naive. In almost every arc, there is at least one scene of him daydreaming about the future and its possibilities. He doesn't have a "plan" for it, mostly working for it as it comes. Even if his interests seem more physical and tangible (dancing, music, fashion, etc., which is a stereotype for ESFPs), this does not mean he is a Se Dom. Se users are usually more grounded, appreciating the present over future possibilities. Also, Chase is constantly distracted by his own thoughts, to the point of ignoring things around him, which is rather uncommon for Se Doms.
The Aux Fi is obvious - the dude is absurdly connected to his feelings, and they dictate his goals, but not in such a way that negates Ne dom, as his values are more flexible than a Fi dom's. Fi doms usually have a more guarded personality as a way to protect their values and avoid criticism. They perceive their reality through their feelings before leaping into action; ENFPs do the opposite. His values are strong, and he puts them above harmony with others (see his relationship with his aunt as an example, and his fight with Deacon in Toffee Break - his stubbornness in recognizing Deacon's perspective is a great example as well). This rules out ENFJ as well.
He also fills out the ENFP bingo, so there's that - dude is a complete manic pixie girl (boy?). Can relate.
For enneagram: 7w8 - by the Enneagram Institute: "Sevens are extroverted, optimistic, versatile, and spontaneous. Playful, high-spirited, and practical, they can also misapply their many talents, becoming overextended, scattered, and undisciplined. They constantly seek new and exciting experiences but can become distracted and exhausted by staying on the go. They typically have problems with impatience and impulsiveness. At their Best: they focus their talents on worthwhile goals, becoming appreciative, joyous, and satisfied.
[…] The root of their problem is common to all of the types of the Thinking Center: they are out of touch with the inner guidance and support of their Essential nature. As with Fives and Sixes, this creates deep anxiety in Sevens. They do not feel that they know what to do or how to make choices that will be beneficial to themselves and others. Sevens cope with this anxiety in two ways. First, they try to keep their minds busy all the time. As long as Sevens can keep their minds occupied, especially with projects and positive ideas for the future, they can, to some extent, keep anxiety and negative feelings out of conscious awareness. Likewise, since their thinking is stimulated by activity, Sevens are compelled to stay on the go, moving from one experience to the next, searching for more stimulation. This is not to say that Sevens are 'spinning their wheels.' They generally enjoy being practical and getting things done."
This can be seen throughout the whole series. It is clear his impulsivity is also a way to cope with his feelings of lack of autonomy in his life's ordeals - he can't help his mother, he is subdued by his family members, he is isolated in a small town with no money or connections to follow his dreams - this leads him to make mistakes and overexert himself (seen in all of the Sick Day arc and the beginning of Beach Boys). He copes with this (and also masks this anxiety) by focusing on his enjoyment and keeping an upbeat persona.
I will write more later of his enneagram wing (im not sure yet of it, but i think it might be 8, he is not the most security driven person, and his tritype is still incognito to me)
i dont know nor care if mbti is pseudoscience or not it is fun to read and write about lmao

EmmRook Snippet Part 4
Emmrich moaned softly against her lips, the sensation sent a tingle through her like nothing she had ever felt before. It seemed to turn small passionate flame in the pit of her stomach into an outright roaring blaze.
A blaze that was made more ravenous and bold when she felt Emmrich's tongue tentatively prob at her lips, seeking entry, she swiftly granted him access parting her lips, her tongue meeting his in a passionate dance for dominance. Emmrich for his part would normally never, never dream of allowing a first intimate moment, that marked the shift from a working relationship into a romantic one to go any further then the deep, powerful, passionate, and to be quite honest lustful kiss that they where already engaged in. However on this occasion he was willing to over look that fact and ignore that usual act of decorum, allowing pure raw emotion to take charge.
The pair had been dancing round each other long enough, testing the waters, prying gently to see where the others interests lie. They had probed, and prodded, and discovered the boundaries and toed their lines for long enough. Now. Now they where free, as it where, to step over and taste what was on the other side without restriction or fear of rejection. And by all the spirits of the Fade did Rook taste divine. Sweet but subtle and incredibly enticing. Completely lost in the moment and encouraged along by Rook pressing her body hard against his own, as if she was trying to melt into his very own physical being, Emmrich let his hand drift from its place at her hip and up under her tunic. He was rather thankful in that moment that she wore such light and flexible armour. His fingers brushed there way over the sensitive skin of her stomach over her lower ribs and up to cup the soft mound of her breast, gently squeezing and kneading the sensitive flesh.
Rook broke the kiss with a gasp at this new sudden sensation, which quickly drew moan after moan from between her lips. Emmrich own lips now free moved down over her jaw to land on the open plane of her neck, which was made easier to access when Rook tilted her head back, encouraging him to have free rain as his hand continued to work away at her breast. Rook felt her heart jump to her throat as Emmrich brushed his thumb is small rhythmic circles over her peaking nipple, as his hand squeezed gently, and his lips peppered kisses at her neck, broken only by the occasional nip of his teeth teasing and deliberate. Her own hands shifted and gripped at little tighter at his hair sending his normally neat style into disarray, before one hand moved to his shoulder to help steady herself. Her hips seemingly had a mind of there own as they pushed and ground against his, aching for the friction the slightest bit of movement brought. All of which fuelled the needy ache growing in just below her navel and at the peak between her legs. A need that was stoked rather rapidly when her movement also brough forth gentle sweet moans from Emmrich's own lips as the tight feeling in the front of his trouser pants only grew tighter as his hardening length strained against the material encasing it. Rook noticed this change instantly as her hips rolled up against his once more. Without thought she raised a leg Slightly pressing her thigh against the growing bulge, the fluttering of kisses at her neck paused as Emmrich gasped in response, followed by a teasing chuckle.
"Be careful my dear you may get more then you planned for"
Rook managed a small smirk. "I think I can handle that, I was never one for following plans anyway"
"Indeed" The response was both inquisitive and teasing. "Then I hate to disappoint"
The hand that had remained at her hip, now moved round to the small of her back to steady her, as his other left her breast, Rook mourned the warmth for the briefest of moments as his hand slipped down pausing only briefly to undo the ties in the front of her own trousers before slipping inside. This time to cup at the warmth of her womanhood.
----------
I'm going top stop there before I get myself into trouble for what comes next😅. Hopefully I will be completed soon so the next spot will have the link to the finished piece.

part 2
so here is basically part 2 of the au.
while i will be trying to stay some what in line with the plot of YOI time line wise some of it might be shortened a bit bc not only am i not much of a writer but im trying to meld together a bit of the jayvik plot from arcane too.
anyway
Unlike Yuuri who evidently had a crush on victor from the start Jayce is a bit further into the closet and only thinks of his feels as deep admiration and like standard idol vibes
So for a majority of like the first week he is like what the fuck is happening
Instead of having to loose weight to be allowed to skate Viktor says that Jayce needs to get more flexible in order to pull off some more technical moves in step sequences and help with his jumps
It takes about 3 weeks and while he is doing it Viktor does let him ice skate but he refuses to let him do anything complicated and refuses to teach him
Viktor during this time is getting along with Jayces mother and trying to get to know Jayce, albeit a tad unsuccessful thanks to his awkwardness
He also meets Mel and well he doesn’t exactly like her but he is using her facilities so not much he can do about that and admittedly she has some say in shit
he is also working on his own PT for his knee because while he doesn't know what he wants to do in regards to jayce he does miss skating even just for himself
Right when Jayce was about to be able to fully practice for the first time his old rink mate Ekko comes and starts arguing with him about leaving Heimerdinger and their rink and going to train under Viktor
while not as close given age Ekko also admires Viktor and is a tad jealous
Jayce and Ekko aren't exactly rivals but they have a bit of a back and forth/ old pupil new pupil vibes
Jayce is kinda put in a corner because he very much would rather work with Viktor but he kinda abruptly quit from his old coach as he initially thought that he was just going to quit as a whole
Ekko also brings the message from Heimerdinger thinks Jayce shouldn’t be coached under Viktor since Viktor tends to be ruthless with his training and he doesn’t want Jayce to get a head of himself
This cues a bit of an argument between Ekko and Jayce which Mel ends up over hearing
Due to this she suggest that they should have a small competition that if Ekko wins then Jayce goes back to Heimerdinger but if Jayce wins then he gets to choose
Jayce doesn’t initially want to compete but Mel persuades him by explaining if he wins not only does he get to continue his work with Viktor but it will show what he is capable of
In all reality she knows that if she host this competition it will be great publicity for her rink and with bring in a lot of supporters and new skaters
Heimerdinger is reluctant but ultimately agrees to it
Mel wanting to make it even more interesting suggest a piece which has two different opposing compositions one of which is a more up beat opera number which is meant to specify hope and the future the other is a classical piece of longing and nostalgia
Jayce gets hope Ekko gets nostalgia
Similar training sequence to YOI except its both Heimerdinger and Viktor working against each other with Jayce and Ekko rather than both of them skaters under one coach like in YOI
Heimerdinger does keep trying to help Jayce much to Viktor’s silent demise
Jayce’s thing he is working on getting out of his head an realizing that he’s like actually pretty good and can definitely be an a top figure skater
he is also learning to not be complacent with choreography and elements that if he can do something he doesn't always need to ask
similar to canon where it was viktor who persuaded him to do hextech
Ekko like Yuri is younger but shows great talent especially with his control in the air and his transitions, known for flying across the ice
However, tends to rush through his programs sometimes seeming a bit to fast and not emotionally invested
Debuted the prior season and was able to take 1st in his last JGP and is looking to take the gold in the current Grand Prix
Viktor adapts his program he was going to skate this season into something for Jayce, something that is supposed to be more hopeful and powerful showing a new Jayce who is coming confidently for the Gold
Ekko’s is supposed to be a slower piece which follows the nostalgia of his old junior self and even the sadness of letting go but at the end the brightness of a new career in the senior divisions
They go through training shenanigans both together and separate in similar fashion as YOI while Viktor and Jayce navigate where they want their relationship and coaching to go

I’ve had almost lifelong motor tics. In elementary school (2000s) I bit my lower lip so much it left marks, in high school (2010s) I blinked excessively to the point it left my crows feet area raw at times, and from university to today (2020s) I twitch my shoulders to the point it gives me shoulder pain sometimes. The tics change, but tics are a constant. Not self harm technically, but it often causes pain nonetheless.
I’m so used to tics that I haven’t thought much about how it could connect to my relatively young system (only since late 2020, and I didn’t take them seriously as a system until late 2021), but ever since learning about how parts can cause somatic and physiological responses in the body in IFS last year (2024), I’ve wondered if my tics were connected to my parts (for my system personally, my parts are my headmates, they’re one in the same). I noticed that because I mostly have these tics whenever I feel embarrassed or perfectionist or self loathing, I’ve traced these feeling to one part. I’m still figuring out how we manage these tics, but showing compassion to the body and the part is the baseline and the first step.
I haven’t been able to make the tics fully go away, but I have have lessened their frequency and severity by listening to the part’s emotional and productivity problems and give him any accommodations I can give him (like rest breaks, snack breaks, setting reasonable goals, working flexibility, and appreciating work that got done rather than lament on what hasn’t gotten done).
Slight tangent, tics also can happen when I feel out of place in public, and one thing I’ve noticed the body started doing within the past few months during these tics is this: if a tic happens with my left shoulder and arm, sometimes my other arm claps both my hands to stop the ticking arm. This hand holding happens as quickly and automatically as the tic. It’s only a temporary stop to the tic, but it’s an interesting response to it. I figured afterward that if one part is involved with the tic, another is probably involved in trying to stop it in this case. Again, I just think this is interesting (and endearing!).
For me and our system, none of the tics or the way we’ve coped with tics feels dissociative, and that’s probably because dissociation isn’t a phenomenon within our system (or at least, it’s far from common). But, it’s interesting to hear how it happens in other systems within the context of bodily self affliction.
Dissociative self-harm...
I want to talk about something that I call dissociative self-harm, our experiences, and how we got here. This may be triggering for some, but this isn't complaining and I consider it a positive story overall.
First, for background... My host was overweight as a child, coming from a family of other people who are overweight and learning unhealthy habits from them. When he was a teenager, he had read an article about how exercise could be addictive and his first thought was that if he exercised regularly enough then he would develop an addiction to it and then it would be easier to maintain.
So walking everyday became the norm, focusing on the positive feelings from the endorphin release. Given that we get antsy whenever we don't walk, I would consider this a success. Although maybe intentionally inducing an exercise addiction isn't great for everyone. And my host is probably one of those people it wasn't great for.
After some years of this, he also started biting when stressed. I don't know when this started or what originally brought it on. But I think that it was tied to the exercise addiction because pain from both the exercising and self-harm can end up causing an endorphin release that relieves emotional stress. Except while the exercise part was positive, this new habit was not.
It would end up leaving calluses, bruises, and teeth marks on the body. I don't think that any permanent damage has been done, but it is a possibility that would concerning if it continued.
The problem with this biting is that it became automatic when stressed.
Once I came into existence, I got him to stop by making him imagine that he was biting me. Because hurting the body hurts everyone in it. And that worked for a long time. At least a year or longer with minimal or no incidents.
It started again
A while back, we started biting while stressed again. (The election in particular wasygood for us.) Only now, it was happening while I was stressed too.
But when it's happened with me, it also doesn't really feel like I'm the one biting. It's almost like the body is doing it on its own... Or that something else is.
It feels very similar to how my host might feel when I suddenly possess an arm to poke his nose.
Because of this, I had hypothesized for a while that this might be something dissociative in nature. That's why it feels like we lose control whenever this happens.
While I have consider this for a while, it was the ask I got recently that described their automatic headbanging self-harm that finally gave me the push I needed to pull the trigger on an experiment I had considered for a while.
If this was some non-headmate part, I understood why it was doing what it was. It was a stress relief that it felt we needed when we got overwhelmed. That is something that I think is important to keep in mind, is that whatever it was, it was doing what it was for us.
So when it happened again, and we ended up biting our hand hard... I tried speaking to it. I said something, softly, along the lines of "please don't do this. You're hurting our body. We don't need this." And then I brought the hand up to our mouth and softly kissed it where it had been bitten, trying to show love to whatever was causing the harm.
And I think that I could kind of feel it responding. It's hard to explain the emotions I felt back other than a tenderness and maybe regret? I'm really not sure. Especially now that a couple days have passed
But what I do know is that it stopped, or at least slowed down. The urge mostly disappeared. And when it came back and we did end up biting again, it was lighter. Not enough to actually leave any marks or cause harm. And we seem to be able to catch ourselves more easily and quicker when it happens so we can stop it sooner.
I have been sending a mental "thank you" to whatever this part is for being gentler when this has happened since. And I've been feeling appreciation back from it in return.
Full disclosure: I have no idea how much of this is actually real. There's a part of me that wonders if I'm just accidentally making a tulpa that believes it's based on our harmful urges... But I also can't argue with the results. Because while trying as hard as we could to control ourselves didn't stop it, THOS has, and that's pretty awesome!
The big reason I'm putting this out here
I don't like talking about our own problems in our real life on here. I probably would never have mentioned this if I didn't think that it could be helpful to others. And if I wasn't curious if anyone has had similar experiences to this, because I want to understand it better.
If anyone has struggled with similar issues with this type of automatic self-harm and have tried talking with it as if it's separate from you, I'd like to hear what happened.
And if people are suffering from automatic and possibly dissociative self-harm, and have tried other methods to try to stop it, then maybe showing kindness to it and asking it to stop could be something else to try. I figure the worst that could happen is that it doesn't work.
Thanks for reading.

hey so. did anyone ever make the observation that we know Copia's EXACT date of birth?
The music video for Kiss the Go-Goat happens on Saturday September 13th 1969
If Sister Imperator is indeed already pregnant there, 9 months later would be May of 1970. And the game Escape The Ministry (which i feel like we all forgot about way too quickly) confirms that Copia's birthday is on May 19th (If you don't remember that game, you're playing as the renovation is happening and at the very end you find out it's Copia's birthday and you have to leave a card for him.)

This would make Copia's exact date of birth May 19th 1970, and he is currently 54 years old.
EDIT : HEY turns out i was super wrong i did a second post about it im very sorry. tldr that date is completely false, the end of that game is not about Copia's birthday
#obviously take this with a grain of salt we know how flexible canon is#but i just thought this was interesting and i was surprised no one talked about it before#ghost#the band ghost#papa emeritus iv#cardinal copia#copia#papa iv

#boonboomger spoilers#bakuage sentai boonboomger#gifs.taiya#boonboomger#super sentai#taiya hando#bun red#userdramas#umbrella.gifs#tokuedit#please do not repost#umbrella.edits#umbrella.posts#i like taiya a lot he's one of my favorite reds and one of my favorite guys from boonboomger#a lot of things about him are conveyed subtly and i like that a lot i like how he keeps things to himself but if you pay close attention yo#can put pieces of him together i like that he is passionate and clearly cares but has a flawed sense of what he should be as an adult#he's always wanted to grow up but in doing that he boxed himself in and became more isolated than he was even though he reaches out to#people doing your job and being kind to everyone is not the same as establishing strong bonds and personal relationships#it's really interesting to watch taiya be so willing to help others but not ask for help himself it's as if he has grown to believe he need#to be a specific type of adult but he doesn't expect the same of others and it's interesting to see the others reach out to him and#show him that he isn't the only one who has to put in the effort and he's not the only one who wants to help but they need to#communicate so they can work best together and get more done in a new way i just think taiya has a really interesting arc#from someone who's playing his role and trying to fit into it perfectly to someone who's still trying to be flexible but needs time#i like taiya needing time i like that he doesn't change overnight and that he'll probably always be a little hesitant when it comes to#certain subjects but he's trying i like that he's trying and generally i just relate to taiya so much#he deserves love he deserves support he deserves to be able to reach his dreams and i cannot be happier to have seen him grow#i just really love taiya :)

the training montage in crossroads re-ignited a headcanon i had of geralt waking up and doing gymnastics, performing kickflips and mid-air spins around on a fencepost outside an hour before sunrise to ‘limber up,’ and bleary-eyed dandelion wrapping himself up in a blanket to be like "heyyy... what the hell are you doing 💖"
#if you're wondering what kind of moves he's doing he's standing on a fencepost and doing your typical flexibility stretches#but alternating between reps of stretches with kickflips from one post to the other#like ciri training in kaer morhen#i'm not going to lie witchers are cool but fandom ruined them a bit for me and now crossroads has given me that childlike wonder back#because fandom heard 'physical ability and stamina' and did you know what with it#but the agility and precision of witchers remain so underrated. as part of the deconstruction of the superhuman trope#geralt doesnt really show off as much in the books and does cool stuff only when needed but#like when (mentioned) he hit the rat in the darkness with his thrown fork... as a party trick#and killing renfri's men in the market at blaviken... and killing the scoia'tael on thanedd#and RUNNING ALONG THE BRIDGE on the battle of the bridge#and the nilfgaardians were amazed and they WERE AMAZED AS THEY DIED!!!!!!!!#and killing rience's mercenaries who didn't know who they were fighting so they were like hey what the fuck... what the fuck#i'm literally back to witcher 101 basics here. nothing interesting to contribute but like a little boy i am just smiling and saying#'dude geralt of rivia is soooo cool he can like fight a bunch of guys with his sword'#half of me wants to seek deeper themes and half of me is just like YOOO GERALT SO COOL !!#listen... there is a time to plant a time to reap#a time to analyze and a time to geek#i should probably just watch a bunch of ballet or best of gymnastics comps and i'll find what i'm looking for#also sorry CROSSROADS OF RAVENS SPOILERS artamon dying was a hilarious moment i know it was like oooh this will have consequences#but it was nice to have the evil antagonist get merked in the sme chapter as he's fucking introduced#and not even by mature experienced geralt but by some literal eighteen year-old who he tried pulling a fast one on#1) i was happy that sapkowski didn't drag it out terribly. this was humorous and refreshing after in season of storms#2) geralt almost riding off but having a feeling to go back... listen i know it's so cliche and it's giving lady of the lake chapter 4#where he eavesdrops in the caves under castle zubarran and just happens to hear stefan skellen reveal that vilgefortz was in castle stygga#but it also was satisfying to me because after reading the hussite trilogy#where reynevan (stupid and young man; like geralt here) DOES NOT LEARN after several. SEVERAL lessons#i was honestly worried for a second that we were going to get a reynevan moment. but no. because this is geralt and not reynevan#and seeing geralt develop critical thinking skills in real time was not only satisfying but a bit funny#and yes nostalgiabaiting me#like omggggg yesss his detective skills yesss that's so geralt of him

Curious if there would be any interest in releasing work that isn't at all flexible and may require cookie-cutter forums set up in the way the skin was built? Like, I use the same formula in pretty much every skin I design for myself, and if you were to use it, too, you'd have to follow it as well (or know how to edit it yourself to make any changes).
For example --
Or is that just too inaccessible/unfavorable?
#I wouldn't charge for them tbh#I just don't know if that would be something the community would be interested in#or something that'd be more of a problem haha#I've had this premade sitting for months and just trying to design around flexibility doesn't do it for me#(Not that its bad#I'm just overthinking the process)#But I genuinely would like to put something out for other people to use even if it wasn't really 'beginner friendly' to set up????

Targ antis: Haha wouldn't it be hilarious if Aegon the Conqueror was infertile and actually the whole Targaryen dynasty is ILLEGITIMATE?
Targ appreciators: Isn't it interesting to entertain the possibility that Aegon the Conqueror was infertile and actually the whole Targaryen dynasty is, by Andal standards, "illegitimate?"
#house targaryen#asoiaf#aegon the conqueror#hotd#fire and blood#i swear i don't understand how these people claim to enjoy a story when the points go right over their heads#did you know that 'legitimacy' is not only a social construct but it's also a flexible one that tends to vary with different cultures?#i actually would find it interesting if hbo went down this route but the problem is you KNOW how it would go#i think it's just as interesting to examine Aenys's 'legitimacy' re: how Rhaenys's marriage to Aegon's could be considered 'illegitimate'

i keep coming across your kitty drawings on my dash and augahhh your style is so soso good so satisfying to look at??? i loove the way you shape markings and draw expressions guahggggh evrything about it is awesome
thank you🥹 i have always been very insistent on making the shapes in my art "satisfying" to look at even when i was younger, so i'm happy to hear it's paid off
it's always that itch when i look at art somewhere to shave off a corner or draw a line a little bit different to make it more pleasant to look at, y'know? or trying to figure out what another artist did to achieve just that
#asks#maybe also why cats are so fun to draw#they are so flexible and made fully out of beautiful & interesting shapes that only other felines can compare to
