Lancia Rally 037 Gruppo B, 1983. This is the actual Martini Racing 037 similar to the car that won the 1983 WRC, the last rear-wheel-drive car to do so. The 037 refers to Abarth's project code: SE037. It was developed by Lancia's rally team in collaboration with Pininfarina, Abarth, Dallara and project manager, engineer Sergio Limone. It was based on the Pininfarina-designed Lancia Montecarlo though seared only the centre-section and some body panels. The Montecarlo's transverse mid/rear engine was turned through 90º and moved forward for better weight distribution and to allow more flexibility with the rear suspension design. It was powered by a supercharged version of the Fiat's 2.0 litre DOHC 16 valve that produced 265hp

Starting with her name this time. Back when she was still a sinner apparently she was Salvadorian and since she's (apparently?) not a former human at all I decided to take a small creative liberty with her decent and made her Venezualan instead. SOUTH AMERICUH❗❗✊🏾 I'm pretty sure Verbena flowers are native to South America so that's where the name comes from.

Onto the design! I don't have much to say abt her design honestly. It's not egregious, but it doesn't really speak to me either. It looks like simple formal wear or uniform with some strange meaningless accessories attached. And those weird itty bitty shoes that look like they're part of her thigh highs... I'm starting to think all the characters's shoes were a last minute afterthought. All and all it tells us nothing about her character. The hair wings are cool tho so I did steal those

Also the whole deal with her eye is strange to me. Why Is the floating X there??? It's a real physical part of the world, other people can see it. Do pink X's always float over angel wounds? If her arm got chopped off would an X float over it? Was it like. A fucking curse visual placed by Lute as a constant reminder of her disloyalty? Why did Carmilla point out it was an obvious marker for her being an angel???? My brain can't fathom why it's canonically attached to her wound. If she was a sinner I'd kinda understand but. Yeah idk. Weird

Also her missing eye does not look like an empty socket it looks like a purple circle was sticker pasted on to her face. It's very flat. How did we go from this

Anyway. I made her hair resemble Polyphemus moth wings because 1. They have eye looking spots and angels are all eyes and 2. Well. Polyphemus has 1 eye. So . 💀

Her overall coloring however is inspired by a Promethea moth. I could say it's because Prometheus defied the gods and Verbena did a similar thing but the real reason is I made a spelling error while initially looking for a Polyphemus moth reference 💀 but hey they both have eye spots! And Iike their coloring for her way better

I also redesigned the exorcist uniform for her redesign bc I wanted her outfit to have reminiscent elements from it.

I gave way less time to the uniform designs, but I still had some main details I wanted to adress. I don't like how they have no armor save for their helmets. Their arm and leg pieces are made of some flexible material that tears easily. It's not giving soldier it's giving soldier costume from party city. The devil like horns are also confusing to see on an angel and the paradoxical design is never addressed. They can be evil and look imposing, but the horns just seem kinda nonsensically on the nose to show how evil they are. At least to me.

In my designs I gave them actual metal armor on their bodies so you can easily tell they're soldiers and it makes sense for them to battle in armor anyway. I also gave them more light "angelic" colors with gold details bc I wanna use gold as a symbol of angelic nature in my rewrite. I wanted their masks to show completely static expressions with wide grins to show how unnerving they are and to allude to the idea that everyone is happy in heaven, and they're all happy to do what they do.

Verbena's belt and shoulder pads draw visual similarities to the pauldrons and mid section pieces in my new exorcist uniforms to draw a connection between her and her past. The Blazer draping behind her back is also supposed to mimic the visual of folded wings. I also tried to do this with all the gold details in her design. The big hoops and belt we're 80's inspired because I decided to follow how in one of her old designs she died in the 60's (even had the big hoops and everything). In my rewrite exorcists are all former humans but I'll get into that later. Also she's got an eye patch now! Just. A normal one.

Charlie is still taller than Verbena just like in the original and idk how tall Vaggie Is exactly but Verbena is like 5'5 while Charlie is 5'11. Verbena's also got more muscle on her bc unless their muscle mass is hidden magically or they don't gain muscle for stupid dumb idiot lore reasons all the exorcists look way too slim to be military grade soldiers but what do I know

I combined a lot of pointy shapes with boxy shapes bc— more similarly to her pilot self— she can be volatile and fierce but also grounded and impassive. I added the slits to her skirt so she can be a sexy formal lady who can still comfortably throw a few kicks, and the heels— well. Idk I feel like she could slay in heels! She definitely doesn't wear em all the time but yeah. Chunky heels. I like them they're cute. Also she's got her little name tag on bc she takes Charlie's job for her SERIOUSLY! she's uh. Idk what is she. A bellhop? General security/protection? Either way she's locked in.

I imagine she had white irises like Adam and Lute along with brighter more saturated and heavenly colors in her hair (color picked from the Polyphemus moth) that turned darker and more harsh after the fall (color picked from the Promethea moth). Really visualizing her emo phase /j

Also I think the little eyes in her hair can emote with her. In the final design the line kinda makes an eyelid and it'd match her eyelid's movements. Sillay

Alright that's a wrap on my Vaggie redesign! No bonus sketches this time bc they're within the texts! Who knows what I'll do next. Who I will deface. I sure don't. I think I might rename Charlie so there's that. Anywhozies hope you like her <3

analysing the martials arts of Jujutsu Kaisen - Karate

watching him fight makes my mouth water. every move is so perfect, so textbook, so nerdy almost. he STUDIED pure Shotokan karate. when he punches its the right target from the right distance at the right power at the right speed i wanna melt. the ease with which he shifts from blocking to grappling to close handed strikes. the scene of his beating up the old man in hidden inventory is pure orgasmic karate perfection.

he's super confident when he fights. he puts power in his punches (just the prescribed textbook amount). princess doesn't even tie his magnificent hair up (???).

he's very consistently aggressive. unlike karate, he has the boxing spirit where there's no gap between attacks, no hit-and-run. his attacks end when the opponent does.

god his stances, im drowning its so perfect. when panda is tossing his around in jjk 0 he's alwasy landing in the correct kumite postion, feet parallel and shoulder distance apart, knees only slightly bent.

usage of weaponry is uncommon in karate, but he's adept at it. the Playful Cloud, sanjigun (three sectioned staff) is an insane weapon tbh. if u look at it as a more complex nanchaku (which was my first reaction and mostly how todo uses it) its not that useful, as explained very well here. geto uses it more like a super flexible staff, which is really innovative and gets better use out of it as both a defensive and offensive weapon. but the one person who defo uses Playful Cloud best is Toji.

if i have to summarize, i'd say he fights cleanly. he knows he has both the height and weight advantage on yuta and uses both as full body strikes from "above". plus he's surprisingly flexible even in those flowy ass robes. he knows what works for him, he's done it for a longgg time (those reflexes take years to come) and he does it well. he keeps it short-range. he's a monster in combat.

surprisingly he's not particularly using any grappling techniques, even though he that would give him an easy edge over yuta. maybe yuta's hard to grapple, maybe gege akutami didn't think of it.

if i had to point out any flaws, i'd say he doesn't bend his lower back and hips enough to break falls. its a very minor complaint tho, he's delicious as a martial artist. a big issue is that he clearly doesn't lose much and hence doesn't know when to stop and change strategies. like, his fighting is on reflex, not because he's thinking thru each of his moves. but ig that's more of a personality flaw than a combat issue.

Noritoshi Kamo

it's very funny, he uses an old-fashioned traditional style in a very spunky rebellious way. definitely karate based on the prominence of upper body strikes over kicks, the open handed strikes and punches and that definitive teisho-uchi (palm heel strike). Even though Shotokan karate is more popular, he's practising the Shitorio style. we can tell cuz his stances are more upright, the way he prefers to hit fewer strikes with more powers than bombard his opponent with many strikes of lesser power, and his constantly-changing-his-base-position footwork.

when striking, he uses exclusively 'hard' techniques, as in he's sparring earthbender style, not airbender style. he's going for full frontal attacks and he's putting a shit ton of power behind them, which means he either doesn't expect to get blocked or he's not expecting the opponent's block to be very effective. (if u hit proper fucking hard with no gloves and get blocked hard ur hands will hurt like hell and uv wasted all the power and movement).

however, in general he does use a lot of "soft techniques" otherwise, grabbing megumi's tonfas away mid fight. he also just dodges attacks, only using blocks to create an opening for him to attack. irl, most combat happens in very short range so blocking is easier to dodging. but kamo fights mostly long distance, very typical karate hit-and-run type technique, where u do a few attacks and immeditealy create distance. a good technique considering his tall height. this is also why i think its Shitorio karate instead of kyokushin (which is tougher and keep-hitting-them style and lots of shin kicks).

there's no flashy moves like toji or even geto or yuji. kamo uses the most basic and actually practical moves. even though his strength is a given with Flowing Red Scale enhancing him, by the way he shifts his weight, you can tell that he knows how to turn his speed into momentum to create a shit ton of force. I wouldn't like to get punched by him.

as i mentioned, he's using orthodox styles in his own way. his stances aren't textbook correct, like geto, he's just doing what feels stable to him at the moment. he twists his palm heel strike unlike the common finger-up version. he doesn't move his eye before his head, he turns his whole damn head fully. he's sort of going with the flow, a bit too loosely for a traditionalist.

what confuses me is that he's not using himself to the fullest. at 5'10, he's taller than most people, so why not 1. attack from "above" such as overhead and on-shoulder strikes and 2. fucking use your damn kicks man. specially 'kick down'- the kicks that start above the opponents head and end up pushing them to the ground.

in the anime fight, he's deliberately trying his best to not hurt megumi. the entire fight is really short, but he's doing his best to just disarm and not to injure even a little. he's taller and megumi's head is wide open. the heavy tonfas by his side that makes it harder for megumi to block his face than torso... kamo literally punch his face. im dying here tbh. kamo punch his head. even if he blocks his face ull get a second where his eyesight is completely blocked and that's all u need to hit him in the kidneys or spleen. bam fight over. but noooo he's hitting him in the middle of the chest (twice! vary ur target positions to keep the element of surprise!) like what r u doing my man. it's like he want his attacks to be blocked. he fights like he's only 80% committed to it. i'd call him confused but very very talented.

ADA TIME

Given her very fun grapple mechanic and nature of weaving webs of plans to best benefit her, I thought a spider would be the obvious creepy crawly to base her off of!

The most obvious mutation is her secondary set of arms. These are extensions of the plagas limbs, similar to Ashley’s wings. UNLIKE Ashley’s wings though, these arms have bones (a loss for the crabs unfortunately). This is because they are VERY STRONG and capable of holding Ada (as well as others) body weight and this muscle needs a rigid structure to pull on. The keratin layers of her armor will help defend her from attacks but they aren’t a strong enough structure to constitute a real exoskeleton. They have 3 fingers and 1 thumb, and are less dextrous than Ada’s primary hands.

The claws and grooves in her fingers on both her primary and secondary hands are to help her keep hold of and manage her web. Her silk comes from spinnerets located on her mid back on either side of her spine. They house her silk glands, spinnerets, and muscular valve which allows her to control when web comes out. Spider silk at this thickness would be stronger than steel, and around 1/5th the weight! It clumps at the end to allow for easier throwing to other areas so she essentially has a natural grappling hook. She could also use it as a weapon, like a whip.

MOAR MANDIBLES. MOAR EYES. RAAAAAGHHHHHH.

Ada's primary eyes are the only ones with eyelids. Her secondary eyes located on her cheekbones and brow-bone always remain open. They greatly increase her awareness of her surroundings by widening her peripheral vision. Cant get snuck up on if you can see real far around you.

Her mandibles tuck into her mouth, just behind her teeth. They fit through a hole made in her teeth that was made by removing her top canine. To keep the appearance of a normal smile, she has a false tooth on the front of her first mandibular joint that fits where the original would be. These mandibles have venomous fangs at the ends that allow her to bite as self defense. There are flexible sections that allow for the mandibles to easily extend and retract in and out of her mouth comfortably (well. relatively comfortably).

Her general proportions are slightly elongated. Being stretched slightly at the joints. This applies to her primary arms and legs, which also have an armor plating to allow for more impactful kicks.

NOW. BEHAVIORAL CHANGES. Ada will feel most comfortable when resting on a web that she has woven. The high concentration of nerves on her fingertips allow her to sense any vibrations that may travel through her web, so she is always aware of any threat at any time. This also encourages her to become a more tactile person. Understanding the texture, shape, and temperature of something through touch will become very important to her understanding of the world.

🚨New Lego MOC🚨 - Type Astro

When you see you this, it means the previous WIP has been finished even there are not too many ideas carried to this finished version.

The fundamental idea of Type Astro is about installing a cockpit inside the chest in comparison to Type Abyssus, whose cockpit is at the back. The ideas are largely influenced by the Ultra Man SH figures that my son recently acquired.

You can tell the arm connection is quite different from Type Atlas as my WIP post was more of an Atlas with cockpit. Also, the articulate mid section is the key to the build to not just give addition body proportion, but also bring better flexibility for posing.

his brother, kensei, died protecting the island against corrupt marines, looking to extort money from the village. upon finding that he was half-fishman, they captured him and attempted to take him in, to be sold to slavery. however, in the struggle, a marine ends up fatally wounding him and that naval ship ends up destroyed by the villagers who later become the crimson reaper's crew.

has lived a majority of his childhood amongst humans. the village was among those who accepted fishman-kind and protected them, but because he and kensei grew up around humans, they weren't able to learn much about their heritage or develop their abilities. it's not until akai sets out at twenty-one years old and travels to fishman island that he learns more and also learns to fight as a fishman.

This is Dune/GOT/HOTD/FAB/ASOIAF crossover AU that you've voted for. If you always wanted to see House Targaryen in space, I got you. Please note how some of the lore of both universes is bent to blend in both worlds. This is my original idea that I've been cooking for at least two years. Be gentle with my work, and enjoy the ride.

Targaryen Ornithopters: The Wings of Dragons

House Targaryen’s ornithopters, like their starships, are designed with both form and function in mind. Drawing inspiration from the grace and power of dragons, these aerial vehicles represent the Targaryen mastery of flight and their unique approach to engineering. Combining ancient Valyrian technology with the innovations developed on Albiron, Targaryen ornithopters are unparalleled in speed, maneuverability, and combat capability. These sleek, dragon-like machines serve as essential tools for exploration, reconnaissance, and military operations on the ground and in low-atmosphere environments.

Design and Appearance

The Targaryen ornithopters, or Drakaopters as they are often called, are sleek and aggressive, designed to resemble the dragons that have long been a symbol of their House. Their bodies are elongated and streamlined, built to minimize drag and maximize speed during flight. The main hull is composed of the same crystalline-infused alloy as their starships, giving the ornithopters a glossy black sheen that blends into the dark skies or the shadows of the jungle canopy on Albiron.

Dragon-Inspired Design: The wings of the ornithopters are their most distinguishing feature. These wings are crafted from ultra-light, flexible materials that mimic the structure of dragon wings. They are long, with membranous panels reinforced by a skeletal frame, allowing them to fold and retract when not in use. The wings, powered by a combination of mechanical joints and drakaon crystal energy systems, beat in a rhythmic motion, much like a dragon’s wings, propelling the vehicle through the air with an almost organic fluidity.

Body Shape and Structure: The main body of the ornithopter is narrow and elongated, with a pointed nose and a tapered rear, evoking the form of a dragon in flight. The cockpit sits toward the front of the craft, enclosed in a transparent canopy made from a nearly indestructible crystalline composite, offering pilots a full, unobstructed view of the surroundings. The tail section is equipped with additional stabilizers and rudder-like fins that assist in sharp aerial maneuvers, much like a dragon’s tail aids in balance and direction during flight.

Solar and Drakaon Energy Collectors: Similar to their starships, Targaryen ornithopters are equipped with retractable solar collectors. These wing-like structures gather energy from the sun when the ornithopter is in flight, converting solar power into auxiliary energy for non-essential systems. However, the primary power source remains the drakaon crystals, which provide the raw energy necessary for propulsion and combat systems. These crystals, embedded within the core of the ornithopter, give the craft a nearly unlimited energy reserve, making it capable of long flights and complex maneuvers without refueling.

Flight and Maneuverability

For high-speed travel, the wings flatten out, reducing drag and allowing the craft to soar at tremendous velocities. In combat or close-quarters flight, the wings can spread wide and beat with greater frequency, providing increased lift and the ability to hover or make sharp turns.

Low-Altitude Mastery: The ornithopters are exceptionally adept at flying close to the ground, hugging the contours of terrain with precision. Did you know this issue will mark two years of this Entrapdak Zine? I’m just as surprised as you!

Right let’s down to business!

The deadline for this issue will be Saturday JULY 1st 2021 at 9AM GMT.

The Zine will be out mid July the actual date is flexible and dependant on when all the Submissions come in and my own personal work schedule.

So most of this is the same as the last few - really if it ain’t broke don’t fit it!  Also a polite reminder I am only one person running this and I am a part time Barista.  It may take me a little time to reply to emails/comments especially after the Deadline time (when I have the most amount of work to do on this project) so please be patient with me.

You may notice I run this different to other zines as there is no sign up period, just submit work before the deadline - I’d rather people have more time to work on their pieces 

Anyone can submit regardless of age or skill level - this is not a job application - just follow the guidelines and email in your work

Submission can be Fan Writing (poems, fan fiction, character analysis, eassys etc), Fan Art, or even photos of your Entrapdak IRL content (cosplays, fancrafts etc)!  You can submit an older work that you have published online previously if you wish - or even update a work you submitted to the last Zine! Just have fun!

As long as both Entrapta and Hordak are the main focus and the piece follows Age Rating it will be allowed.

Other allowed characters in the Entrapdak family include Emily, Imp and the Clones (also known as Spacebats)…yes weirdly this also  includes Horde Prime.

Other She-Ra characters will be allowed but Entrapdak is to be the core element.

Fan Writing guidelines:

This includes fan fiction, analysis eassys, poetry or whatever else you’d like to write about.  I would ask this content to be between 1k-10k words in length, it’s not a big deal if the writing is over 10k or even if it’s 20k - write whatever your story needs. If you’d like to write Chapters then please do!

Written work can be emailed in the body of text, sent as pdf attachment or as a link to a Google Doc - I can work with any of those.

Please include you name/username somewhere as it helps. If there’s no name on the piece I’ll add one at the start with the title.

Fan Art guidelines:

Fan art can include rough sketches, screencap redraws, comics (appox 1-10 pages length), coloured sketches or full colour pieces. 

Fan art can be in the digital or traditional medium.  

Traditional fan art can either be submitted as a photo or scanned, which ever you prefer.

Preferred sizing for Digital art is as follows, my aim to to have everything on International (UK) A4 paper sizing where possible*

Random Taur Shoe Stuff

Whether or not fuckers even wear shoes varies depending on the type of taur, the terrain, how active they are, etc. After all, getting dressed in the morning can already be a bitch and if you don’t need them...

Shoes are more common if you’ve got softer hooves, are very active on hard surfaces, are going to be hauling things, or need the added traction

You also of course have medical shoes, but those are their own thing

Boots are commonplace, having a single rubber sole, a rigid fabric or leather body that wraps around the hoof(hooves), and an ankle strap, closing at the front

You can also find a more sandal-like shoe, which comes up to cup the back of the hood and straps on around the front. These tend to be more common on even-toed taur, as these come in a paired version- unlike boots- allowing for those who prefer to keep maximum hoof flexibility to have their wish

Most formal shoes are the sandal-like variety, though there are formal boots as well

Sandal-like boots are also used for entertainment and flashy events, as their soles tend to be thinner and less conspicuous than boot soles and can also be finished with metal to produce sparks on stone or just as a pretty flash

There are also, for the sake of fashion and for those who only need shoes for weather, the pad-style shoe- most commonly used by odd-toed taur, they’re quite literally a single pad of leather, rubber, or even woven plant matter, held onto the bottom of the foot with lines running up to an ankle strap. Rivets can be installed in leather and rubber varieties for improved traction

Pad-style shoes are commonly only worn for brief periods, such as while traveling short distances or over steep terrain, and individuals who wear them in daily life also typically go barefoot otherwise

While these are the main variety of shoe, they all come is various forms to fit the various feet of taur
