They'll probably be few and far between for now. I lost most of my flock to a pair of raccoons over the past few months. I started this year with over 40 chickens and ducks and (barring any more attacks) I'll be ending it with just 8 chickens. Unless Faye is successful. She's been broody for about a week.

Next year I'll be ordering a mystery box of chicks and won't be able to resist posting pictures. 😅 Especially if I'm lucky enough to get turkeys and geese.

What's a fun headcanon you have for Ghost? For FFWF!

Oh boy. If I’m being honest, I don’t have too many of these considering I’ve always been so focused on like less fun stuff in my story and just stuff that pushes the story along. I got to work to get better on that. Thank ye!

Anyway to answer your question:

The king of sarcasm. Can say something with a straight ass face and casual tone and you will not be able to tell if he’s being dead 💀 serious or joking 🙃 scares the shit outta y’a cuz he never clarifies

He can be quite the comedian when he wants to be. Usually after a few pints with the boys.

Tends to zone in on his own personal projects and gets pretty agitated when he’s interrupted. Like a little kid playing with action figures during an epic fight and mom says it’s time for dinner.

He would be THE BEST study buddy ever. Considering he’s an elite soldier and details MATTER in all things military, he would be that very thorough and accurate study partner. Would make sure that you memorized each historical war, the EXACT date, even the exact fucking time if he can find solid proof of, and all that occurred. Very thorough in general.

In addition to the previous one, he would be a great project partner. He probably would be that person who takes over the whole project because he has his own vision for it that he knows is the best and he doesn’t trust anyone else in the group to fulfill their role in achieving said goal to his high standards.

Is the “work first, then play” kind of person. Wakes up early and just goes about his day getting tasks done. Doesn’t get easily distracted, and after all the work is done, then he gets to sit back and relax. So you’ll always know you can count on him to get shit done.

There really aren't any that I'd class that way but there is this:

Ghost was left standing in the foyer of the safe house holding a very drunk Drengr. The woman had started drinking moonshine the moment the mission was over. She'd been singing Whiskey in the Jar off key for nearly an hour and he wasn't sure how much longer he could take it.

Drengr suddenly stopped singing mid-verse and sighed loudly before sluggishly speaking. "Ten years ago I nearly died on a mission almost identical to this one. I was the only member of my team that walked out of there that day because we didn't have kickass backup like y'all did."

"What the fuck happened tonight?" Ghost asked. He hoped he could get an actual answer instead of the bullshit his team had been fed from the start. "What the fuck is going on?"

Drengr grinned and poked where she thought the end of Ghost's nose might be. She missed entirely and poked him somewhere near his right ear. "No, sir. That's above your pay grade. I'm not telling." Drengr yawned, stretched, and promptly fell asleep while Ghost rolled his eyes.

Jasmine Tea : If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

Scandinavia, Norway, or another historically Norse country. My great grandparents are from there but there's a lot of missing family history from them and I want to learn more. They traveled to Germany just prior to WWII and immigrated to the US shortly after.

Iced Coffee : Do you like reading? If so, what’s your favorite book?

I love reading and this a hard question. If we're going by just one book then it's The Hobbit. 😁 Hands down. But series wise, my favorite series is split between the Dragonlance Chronicles and The Dark Disciple (also in the Dragonlance universe). There are a lot of really great books set in the DnD multiverse.

I also really love cookbooks. 😅

I'm assuming you mean the salty asks. I tend to take things at face value so I searched my entire blog for a shipping ask. Did not find one and felt kinda stupid.😳🤣

4. Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?

I'm not a big fan of Ghost x Male Cannon Character or Female Cannon Character. I'm like that with all fandoms I'm in. So basically all popular and unpopular pairings are out for me. It's not that I have an issue with them. I just find it boring and I have no idea why.

7. Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?

Not as far as COD goes. I have dropped entire fandoms but I can never figure out if it was something in the fandom or if I dropped hyperfocus.

11. Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?

I honestly couldn't tell you if any of the characters I like are unpopular. I stay out of the spaces where a lot of people gather for larger fandoms to avoid drama. I don't need that stress.

For FFWF: How do you come up with your characters?

So sorry for not answering this sooner. It got lost in all my notifs. 😭

It’s kind of a mix of different things. There are some outside influences, like maybe I’m inspired by a character of another writer.

For my characters in my Dying To Live Ghost fanfic, all of my characters are based off of facets of me, honestly. One of the things I enjoy about writing is that I can write about anything and everything. I try to have my characters do thing or be things I couldn’t imagine for myself.

For example, Wendigo is probably closest to my main self. I’m rather serious, laid back etc. With the obvious trauma and the anxiety that is locked up inside and all. Sometimes finding myself trapped with the overwhelming sense of guilt of the events of the past, wondering if I had done something different, if it would have changed anything. Much like Wendigo.

Red is my personification of my anger. Nobody likes to admit it, but we all have some but of anger in us. Red is my embodiment of rage of things that were never brought to justice. She feels wronged, and she has been wronged, but she never gets the justice she craves and honestly deserves. Which leaves her restless and more bitter.

Yellowfang is the part of me that is old but gold. I am Wiccan, I won’t go into detail about it. You guys have google to look that shit up. Essentially, Yellowfang is the embodiment of all the lives I’ve lived. Resilient despite it all, and with the challenges came wisdom. She is calm, wise, motherly and respected.

Echo is the quiet. The part of me that was silenced because I wasn’t allowed to speak on the truth of things. That everything wasn’t as it all seemed.

Sunny is the inner child that was forced into the box in order to survive, and let Wendigo take her place. She is bright, gleeful and just a magnet for all things of positive nature. She is the representation of childhood innocence, and the death of it.

VANGUARD and the Titan Program kinda represent the first 18 years of my life lol 😂

Hope that helps. Lol that shit got dark real quick, but it’s the truth. A lot of my characters I project a part of me in them. It helps me to write them better. If I just create a character with no part of me involved, I feel like my character comes off flat and fake.
