   Riley knew a fair amount about cats-that-weren’t; in her (albeit limited) experience, they tended to moonlight as incredibly handsome women. That this one talked in such a deep tone of voice wasn’t a warning sign: it was noteworthy enough that she’d managed to wrangle a voicebox out of such limited space. Not that this one wasn’t handsome as a cat, the cambion supposed. Just, in her opinion, that women were much easier on the eyes than felines. The obvious joke, here, would be omitted.

   Crouching down, she couldn’t hep but shake her head as she curled a finger around just-the-right-spot behind the cat’s ear. “You don’t need to keep rubbing against my thighs; I do a much better job with my hands.”
