It's my most popular jaydick fic, so I have to talk about it! I re-read this fic constantly, I love it so much. I challenged myself with this one, I tried to write a slightly more grounded version of Dick and Jason and tried to think about how the characters would react to things instead of just letting the vibes control my narrative lmao I love vibes but I'm glad my overthinking paid out with this one since a lot of people like it! Also I included all the tropes I love in fanfiction: fake/pretend relationship, messy relationships, idiots pinning, Dick in a crop top...

For @flamevbirdv, well this is more Jason carring Dick, but I hope you like it.

Dick is extra drugged. Jason can see it in the splotches of colour on the other’s black and blue suit, the remnants of magic, Ivy’s pheromones, and who knows what else had been going on in that battle. There are a hundred spells and chemicals mixed inside Nightwing right now and Dick keeps acting weird.

Bruce however has deemed him safe. The different magics and substances keep warring with one another and are unable to take proper hold of Dick so he doesn’t even need an antidote, he just needed to sleep it off and he would be fine in the morning. He, however, can’t stay in the battleground any longer.

Of course, it’s Jason’s turn to take him home, because, after all, he is Dick’s boyfriend.

The walk home is the most surreal thing he has experienced in a while. Dick keeps acting like a hormonal pregnant woman who has multiple personality syndrome and is having maniac surges. Jason would be amused by the whole thing if he wasn’t creeped out and slightly worried by it.

One moment Dick is kneeling on one of the rooftops, crying, holding him with a desperation Jason had rarely seen in him, and crying his heart out to him. He keeps apologizing for not being there, for not saving him from Joker, for not knowing he was dead, for not knowing he was alive. It breaks Jason’s heart just to hear him, that Dick is still blaming himself after all these months they have been together makes something inside him ache.

On the next roof, another spell kicks in, and suddenly Dick is jumping Jason. Groping him over the clothes, fondling with the zippers, biting his neck and grunting in eagerness as he rubs against his body all hard and possessive. Jason always enjoys when Dick is desperate and demanding in bed, doing whatever he pleases with him, marking his body, and showing the world who Jason belongs to. But Jason is not an exhibitionist, and he is definitely not doing it on a rooftop in the middle of nowhere.

Dick is laughing on the next roof, maniacally, in a strange resemblance of Joker’s gas that has Jason’s blood-curdling. In the next, he turns silent, quiet, and it’s even worst, because it looks dangerous, deadly, as if Dick has suddenly become a different person someone who can’t even recognize him. Jason keeps pulling him along with his hands on his body, guiding him to the present instead of the hallucinations and memories he is clearly seeing, dragging him forward until they reach the little home they had been sharing for the last months.

They crash into their bed after Jason manages to strip them both in the middle of another giggling fit, but the new surroundings are not much better. The sequence repeats, crying, anger, horniness, laughing, and the dangerous silences that make Jason’s skin crawl as Dick’s nails dig in his back. Sometimes the episodes even mix, and Jason has to hold Dick down from wreaking havoc on their little space. They fuck twice, fast and messy, and then hug for hours later. But as the night advances, the episodes seem to become softer, and less intense, and Jason slowly starts to relax into the patterns.

He feels emotionally drained just by dealing with him, so Dick has to be a total mess himself and it's probably going to take a while for him to recover both mentally and physically from this. It is still kind of reassuring. Dick never tries to hurt him in any way, even during the maniacally angry episodes he never goes for Jason, as if his subconscious knows who he is and can’t bring himself to harm him. Even during sexy times, when he looks desperate and mad with lust, and keeps whispering the most dirty words in Jason’s ears, he makes sure he is ready and willing every time. He sobs his name with guilt, he laughs it next time as if it’s the best word he has ever pronounced, he holds him, hugs him, making him moan in pure bliss...

By the time Dick finally falls asleep as dawn starts to illuminate their bedroom, Jason felts loved and cherished as he had never felt before. He knows that if he wasn’t in love with this man yet, he would definitely be now. Because if he had learned something tonight is that he means a lot to Dick, and that Dick, even out of his mind, loves him more than anything in this world.

Starting to think a cooler headcanon for Clark’s upbringing might just be that the entire town of Smallville collectively decided to just go with it and accept that Martha and John's kid has superpowers, but we don't talk about it.

hi! i'm asking you this because when i think of people who love the superfamily you're at the top of the list. so, in a perfect world where kon, chris and jon exist together, are they all called superboy?

Probably not. Chris was never officially Superboy, and while I adore Kon as Superboy, part of his original arc was learning to “grow up” and no longer rely on his relative youth as an excuse for putting aside empathy and personal growth, so continuing to be Superboy when it’s available for someone who needs it more wouldn’t make the most sense. Though for the life of me I can’t think of another name for him, maybe the Metropolis Kid lol I kid, Kon, I kid.

Chris at least went by Nightwing for a while. As confusing and nonsensical as some of that logic still is for me today. 

I would instinctually call it as Jon being Superboy in the hypothetical where we have all three, but if push comes to shove, I really don’t have a problem with all of them being Superboy at once. It’s one of the smarter things that was done with Green Arrow in the early 2000s.

Oof, this is tough. I love many characters - some even to the point of blorbo - but I rarely self-identify with any of them. So I had to think about this one for a few moments, and all I could come up with was this guy:

You know, there was that meme that was just everywhere a decade plus some change ago:

I'm here to tell you: DON'T BE BATMAN

Batman - Bruce Wayne - is not a fully functional human being. Don't let the amazing toys and badass image fool you. He's cobbled himself together with industrial strength glue and fancy duct tape. He has emotional walls a mile thick surrounded by a moat filled with bone-crushing silences and terse piercing wit. He has a bland persona he dons like a smoking jacket to deal with people. He's a loner who can't function without the people he somehow surrounds himself with - all of whom are either his employees, accidentally acquired children, or begrudgingly acknowledged co-workers. He has more compartments than a survivalist's backpack in which he stuffs all the messy things he doesn't want to deal with at the moment - he'll deal with whatever it is later - but later never happens.

And yet SOMEHOW he presents himself as this towering figure, a paragon of ability and justice, ingenuity and sheer force of will. He's a stern wall of judgment. When he shows up at world-ending events, other responders breathe a sigh of relief and hope. "Oh thank God, Batman's here. Maybe we have a chance." And he's Just Some Guy! He doesn't have superpowers, metahuman abilities.

So how do I think this guy is me-coded? Well, I would rather chew my own arm off than admit that I need anything. I have a bunch of kids - some bio and some not - even though I only have C+ parenting skills. The non-bio ones happened because, in my community, you don't let kids fall into the system if you can do anything to prevent it, so all informally done. I fake my way through emergencies because what else am I supposed to do? And most of the time it works out. There are people I've known for decades who barely know anything about me. And that's just not a healthy way to live.

MDZS Language Fest is officially a go!

This is the official post to announce the beginning of MDZS fandom’s multilingual fest that we did an interest check for a while ago. Back then the feedback we got was overwhelmingly positive, so we are hoping that as many as possible join and enjoy this event! To achieve this, we also appreciate signal boosts through reblogging this post ^^ 

What is happening?

This is a fan fest aimed to celebrate the linguistic diversity of the Mo Dao Zu Shi fandom here on tumblr

The point is to create original content in a form of your own choice: gifs, graphics, edits, fanart, fanfic, video edits - your pick! All types of content are welcomed! 

Tie your creation to a language you feel connected to. It can be your native tongue but it can also be a language you studied or a language you just feel calling for you! (Any language is welcome, including and especially Mandarin and Cantonese! English isn’t excluded but we wish it to not be the focus here)

The event runs for a week from November 22nd to 28th so prepare to be ready then! 

How do I join? 

Follow the event blog and reblog this post so that as many as possible may take part in on the fun 

Use the tag #mdzsmultilingual21 preferably amongst the first five tags of your post so that we can catch your creation and reblog it to this blog

Mention the language(s) you used in the caption of your post and preferably provide an English translation for everyone to enjoy
