WHAT IS THIS TELM E MORE

I have a book I've been working on basically since fifth grade that's a world with people who have special elemental powers?  There's earth, fire, water, air, and then the "leader" has control over light and dark (I used to have psychic in there too but thought that was a little op).  They're called the Elemental Protectors, and each is chosen from a specific place in the world.  The water one I mention in this post is from a race of mermaids/water nymphs.  In water they're mermaids, but on land they become human and have wings like dragonflies (haven't decided yet if this is magical or not).  So my water character is kind of shy but laid back, and she's super bubbly and giggly and smiley.  Her name is Meredith.

When the Protectors get together, she meets Vesta, the fire character who comes from a race of people called Dragon Speakers that live in a volcano.  Vesta's people are very blunt, loud, and boisterous.  She's not afraid to speak her mind, and in fact her race encourages being open with one another and not keeping secrets.  Lying is a huge social taboo.  This, of course, causes strife with the other Protectors, but that's a different story.

Basically I started thinking about it because my entire main cast is ladies, and I thought they would be really cute together.  The more I thought about it the more I liked it and oOOPS NOW I SHIP THEM AND WROTE A DRABBLE ABOUT IT.
