Wait so what happened? What started the argument and why were you shut down?

Oh boy anon get ready for a story. One of my friends in uni has the attendance record of a broken bulb. Basically never comes. He’ll work semi-hard but only if you tell him everything that he missed.

Semester starting January we have a group project. For some reason in this module it’s only ever 4 of us who turn up?? Three of us live together, broken bulb dude doesn’t he commutes and never gets his ass outta bed. So, he just assumed he was in our group the one week he decided to turn up, the week after groups got decided. Two of us are his friends, I’m closest (or at least was) so I thought well me telling him will cause an absolute shitstorm. We discussed it the three of us, I was on the fence, one was like ‘yeah I don’t really want him’ and the third was an outright ‘I’m not working with him’ lmao.

La de da it’s now January. Groups were decided in December before the holidays. We wanted to tell him on the last week but he bought everyone a gift... talk about guilt trip... so we didn’t. Even our lecturer knew we didn’t want him in and tried to convince him but oh my god bulb dude was having none of the not-so-subtle-hints.

Couple days ago, the ‘outright no’ Guy is half forced into breaking the news. I just didn’t have the heart, other guy felt too awkward Cus they don’t really speak outside lectures which is totally fair. I didn’t know he told bulb, so after a day out with my Nan I get this vERY PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE MESSAGE about not being in our group. One sentence, it’s all I got, and an emoji which was basically ‘if looks could kill I’d smash ya head in’. The empty smile 🙂

After talking it with awkward friend about holy shit he’s pissed what do I do I made a message and hE COMPLETELY MISSED THE MESSAGE. I use ‘heh’ as an oops this is embarrassing he did nOT READ IT LIKE THAT.

I got called cold and to never contact him. We might still have that lecture together, and worse we REPLACED HIM WITH ANOTHER GUY WHO I DONT ACTUALLY KNOW (but I genuinely trust to be friendly and hard working).

So yeah I got fucking obliterated because being broken bulb’s ‘only friend’ (his own fault, a story for another day) I got 100% blame.

Hope you enjoyed reading that, everyone and anon, but as of next week I shall discover the dire consequences of this

Hnnnng thank you I’m glad I’m not seeing the situation wrong!! We’ll see how next week goes when I have to have three hours with him!
