These amazing women are street vendors from Acholi quarters in Kampala, Uganda during a Feminist Healing and Personal Safety camp , August 2019. Their work usually involves early mornings, long days and late nights peddling food and wares  around the city.

We always have so much fun teaching women of all ages self defense.The sheer joy on their faces as they learn little tricks to get away from assailants.We love you so much women vendors of Uganda.

We are a social enterprise in Uganda that hosts personal safety camps for women and LGBTQ+ folk . We are intersectional feminists. We teach physical and emotional self defense. We also host an artistic installation called Feminist Utopia that re-imagines a world free of patriarchy and other oppressions. Follow us and we will follow back. Our amazing clients taught us how to curate spaces feministly by telling us when our trainers were acting foolish. Our survival on the worst business plan on earth taught us our resilience. Now that we are getting ready to open a feminist, intersectional gym (open to all but cisgender men) our excitement cannot be matched.
