Hahaha! Yeah. I did a bad drawn cringe. Because some people on a v specific discord channel I'm part of, encouraged me. (You know who you are.) I dunno what this is, but whatever. I worked on this bs for too many weeks and I've lost motivation SO MANY TIMES. So, enjoy it. lol (Also sorry for the proably many grammatical errors and such. I'm no english speaker, 'member? I TRIED.) ALSO! FUN FACT. I purposedly let both begin and ending open, so if you want (if you got more motivation than me), you can do your own thing with your own version of the egos. If multiple dimensions are canon, then even the Fishverse here is. Your own universe can be canon too. Have fun, if you wanna try!

:) In the Fishverse there's no real wholesome besides for Jackie. My Robbie is a tall, scary, shady, not-friendly, probably evil undead genius, who was stitched together for science by the Doc during an experiment. (Who may or may-have-not been inspired by books and comic books...) Somehow it worked and Henrik got a zombie-like creature locked in the basement. Robbie slowly became "conscious" and through various books and manuals he had to his disposal -he was in a lab with nothing but time, after all- learned a lot about anatomy, physics, chemistry, mechanics, medicine and how to modify his own body to be better, smarter and stronger. Not in the good way though. In the scary way. Somehow Doc found out, befriended him and let him out from where he was locked. After that, Robbie accepted to become Doc's assistant. By doing that, he can have access to labs, documents and knowledge that otherwise would be out of his reach. The rest is history. He will reach certain lengths to fulfill his goals and hunger for knowledge, if he has to. He's a menace, he thinks he's better than everyone and he should be locked up in some dungeon.

         Azumi’s tail curled out of the water she rested in. She had retreated to one of the shallow pools near the homestead Melissa had set up in order to bask ; the sun beating down on the surface of the water just above her body was soothing. With her array of elaborate and billowing fins splayed out, she practically filled the pool : a glimmering rose gold - colored creature with hints of pink and gold dusted over the pale, delicate scales of her torso and lengthy blond locks floating leisurely behind her. Inevitably, her tail fell, stirring the surface of her temporary sanctum. She hummed softly to herself, pleased, and watched the light spin across the bottom of the pool from her disturbance.

          The mermaid soon saw a shadow come across the water. After a moment, she turned in the pool, spinning upward. Strings of pearls, woven around her torso, flashed in the sun as she broke the surface. Her welcoming chatter to the woman at the side of the water was emphasized by a gentle shift of her body to the side to add more room. 

          Melissa climbed in next to Azumi, mindful of the mermaid’s fins. She bypassed the rocks and sat in the pool itself. The water was at her underarms, but she didn’t mind. Her current life meant that she spent a good deal of time like this. It was stranger to the ex - pirate to be completely dry than soaked anymore.

          Azumi smiled mischievously and dipped back down. She swirled closer to the human with a sense of fondness, surrounding her in the gossamer material that extended from her body. Her tail draped across Melissa’s lap as it encircled her companion, effectively anchoring the human in place, and Azumi rose up behind her. Claw - like fingers ran through the former captain’s hair, scraping it back ; though the mermaid attempted to do so tenderly, Melissa resisted the urge to flinch at the sharp pricks against her scalp. Her dark locks were regularly tangled from the amount of sea water that often dried into them. Azumi had made it her mission to straighten these beautiful strands as frequently as she was able.

          Once she had removed the worst of the snarls from Melissa’s hair, Azumi unwound one of the pearl strands from around her body. With an enchanting song flowing from between her lips, she began to braid it into the other’s glossy tresses. 

          In the distance, Shun and Daigo could be seen engaging in their usual banter. The elder’s large, shark - like body hovered near the surface of the calmed ocean ( visible by the great pointed dorsal fin on his back ) as he waited. Shun moved around him effortlessly, lithe scarlet shape teasing Daigo with how close he came. The game was on when Shun dared to drift too near, prompting Daigo to lunge for him ; the two forms then spent several minutes weaving around one another in an effort not to be seized. Inevitably, Daigo retreated to one of the rocks characteristic to their haven, hauling himself up to a few minutes’ safety, but he was always dragged back into the game by Shun’s fingers tugging at his hanging tail, indignant sprays of water from below, or any other number of antics that the younger male employed. Melissa had to smile. For as much as Daigo liked to grumble about Shun when they were alone, he was notably very careful and respectful in how he interacted with him. She rather agreed with Azumi’s assessment : they behaved like they were spawned from the same mother, though Daigo was too proud and frankly stubborn to admit it. ‘ Brothers, ’ Melissa had taught the mermaid with a grin.

         When Azumi was finished, she nestled her face into the curve of Melissa’s shoulder. The warmth of the day made her feel comfortably sluggish. With the information she learned from Daigo in mind, Melissa cupped her hand and lifted it out of the water. She poured it over where she suspected the back of Azumi’s head was to the best of her ability, seeking to moisten the creature’s gills through rivulets of liquid running over her neck. The grateful tightening of Azumi’s coiled body suggested that Melissa found her target.

          ❝ Azumi? ❞ Melissa said her name as her fingertips grazed along the thick pink - hued scales over her legs. She had received permission from the mermaid to stroke her days ago. ❝ Do you remember what you said yesterday?  ―  that you were worried. Why are you so concerned about me? ❞

          ❝ Because I see how you look at HIM, ❞ Azumi mused, ❝ and I know what it means  .    .    .  especially now that you’ve met Shun. ❞ Melissa’s silence, indicative of her confusion, pressed the mermaid on. ❝ You’ve seen that it’s possible for you to be with Daigo, and that knowledge brings a certain desperation with it. I saw it in Shun’s face when he learned I could transform him ; I see it in yours. He knew his skin was wrong, and so do you. EXCEPT  .    .    .  ❞ 

          Azumi leaned back then, but she did not go far. She shifted to Melissa’s side and used two fingers to lift the ex - pirate’s chin. Unblinking, glittering black eyes met honey - hued irises. There it was. The flash of steel in Melissa’s gaze that was impossible to ignore ; the set of her jaw beneath Azumi’s touch ; the confidence in her expression when she met the mermaid’s stare.

          ❝ Shun would have died in my arms waiting for me to change him if I let him. You won’t. ❞ A curved and pointed fingertip was pressed into Melissa’s lower lip, briefly parting her mouth. Azumi wondered what she would look like with sharpened teeth. ❝ If I refuse you, it won’t be the end of it. You’ll tear the sea apart for someone like me, won’t you? He’s too important to you to not pursue this, no matter what it takes. That’s what worries me. ❞

          ❝ I have to change you, Melissa, for the debt I owe Daigo and out of knowing that you would lose your life combing the depths of the ocean if I didn’t. ❞ 

          Azumi released Melissa and drifted back toward the pool, endeavoring to lay atop the pile of scales and fins that had been established around the former captain. She didn’t confess to the remaining thoughts she held: something deep, something primal told her that Melissa would be appealing with teeth that could rend flesh from bone with ease. The determination and zeal in the woman served her well as a human, but it would become more in their aquatic home  ―  Azumi had no doubts that she was set to release a TERRIFYING, BEAUTIFUL QUEEN beneath the waves. It was simply a matter of when.

Hey, thanks! :D I'm always happy if people preesh the stupid things I make! Normally zombies are depicted as hunger-driven brainless monsters, so I thought it was a fun idea to make him a genius-like creature and Doc's assistant/co-worker...Fictional mad scientists are fun. What he thinks about the others, you say? I assume you are talking about all the other egos... Well, let's destroy some hopes and dreams here... Usually this specific character is considered very child-like. Very sweet. Well, in the Fishverse, everyone is sketchy/evil/partially insane besides few rare exceptions. You can bet that ESPECIALLY Robbie is not a nice dude, here. He's like to have an enemy right at home. He cares not for humans and the living. Like...at all. Robbie sees humans as lesser, expendable creatures. Or like cattle, lab rats and walking spare-parts, if you will. He sticks around the Doc and considers him something close to a friend, only because he respects him in his own insanity. (And mostly coz he owes him. Also Henrik is a free access to labs, bodies, tools and interesting stuff to research, which is a plus.) So, in a nutshell: Doc: He's ok to stick around to and sometimes bodyguard if necessary. Mostly coz both him and Robbie love to experiment in/with weird stuff and all the things mentioned above. Birds of feathers and all that stuff... Chase: He couldn't care less for this guy. Dead or alive...It doesn't matter. He doesn't care. Robbie considers his existence only coz he's harmless and he happens to be Doc's best friend. He wouldn't mind to use his limbs as spare parts, but Doc is against this idea. Jackie: Now, he's alive ONLY coz he's Doc's friend. Robbie HATES this guy and would gladly love to dissect him if given the chance to do so.. Jackie is the dumb embodyment of everything Robbie despise. But since -again- Doc would rather keep his few friends alive, he cannot go suddently "missing". Robbie's favourite hobbie is to belittle everythig this guy does, in the hope he will one day explode or something. Give him an excuse! Marvin: Robbie saw this guy only on TV pretty much. Perhaps while he was fighting against the dumb hero. Interesting the fact he can use "magic" and alchemic stuff (this implies he -unlike the hero- does infact has a functioning brain, at least...) and he would be perhaps a nice study subject, but nothing Robbie cannot learn by himself by reading the right books and by making the right researches. Science it's kinda like magic or whatever, after all... To him, Marvin is yet another annoying flamboyant roof-clown with weird clothes, privileges and tastes. Never interact unless forced to. JJ: Robbie never met him before, nor he's aware of his existence, really... If the two were goin to meet, Robbie would consider him nothing more than a generic human. Not worthy of his time, unless he's hiding some experiments-worthy ability... Anti: Now, this is interesting. This creature is not human and it can do peculiar things. Robbie would LOVE to vivisect this thing if it was possible to restrain it somehow. Possessing people from the distance and manipulate reality, sound like interesting stuff to study, is it not? Robbie is a man of science. He would totally open this guy up if it was possible to do so. Fin. That was my essay. It may contain horrible grammar and such. BUT HEY, I TRIED. I hope u preesh it. X'D
