What is a Fish Meal Dryer?
Tumblr media
A fish meal dryer is a machine specifically designed to dry fish meal to the desired moisture level, typically around 10%. The drying process is crucial as it prevents microbial growth and spoilage, thereby extending the shelf life of the fish meal. Fish meal dryers come in various types, including rotary drum dryers, disc dryers, and fluidized bed dryers, each with unique characteristics and advantages.
Features of a Fish Meal Dryer
1. Efficient Drying Capability: Fish meal dryers are built to handle large volumes of wet fish meal efficiently. They utilize advanced drying technologies to ensure uniform and consistent drying, which is essential for maintaining product quality.
2. Energy Efficiency: Modern fish meal dryers are designed to be energy-efficient. They use heat recovery systems and other technologies to minimize energy consumption, making the drying process more cost-effective.
3. Durability and Robustness: Given the demanding nature of fish meal production, fish meal dryers are constructed from durable materials that can withstand high temperatures and corrosive environments. This ensures long-term reliability and minimal downtime.
4. Environmental Considerations: Many fish meal dryers are equipped with pollution control systems to reduce emissions and comply with environmental regulations. This makes them a more sustainable choice for fish meal producers.
How Does a Fish Meal Dryer Work?
1. Feeding: The wet fish meal is fed into the dryer through a conveyor or feeder system. This ensures a steady and controlled flow of material into the dryer.
2. Drying Process: Inside the dryer, the fish meal is exposed to hot air or other drying agents. The specific mechanism depends on the type of dryer used:
Rotary Drum Dryers: The fish meal is tumbled in a rotating drum where it is heated and dried by hot air.
Disc Dryers: The fish meal is spread across heated discs that rotate, facilitating even drying.
Fluidized Bed Dryers: The fish meal is suspended in a stream of hot air, which dries it quickly and uniformly.
3. Moisture Reduction: As the fish meal passes through the dryer, the moisture content is gradually reduced to the desired level. This step is critical for preventing spoilage and ensuring the fish meal's stability.
4. Discharge: The dried fish meal is then discharged from the dryer and moved to the next stage of production, which may include milling, packaging, or storage.
Applications of Fish Meal Dryers
Fish meal dryers are primarily used in fish meal plants, where they are an integral part of the fish meal production process. However, their applications extend to other industries as well:
Animal Feed Production: Dried fish meal is a key ingredient in animal feeds, providing a rich source of protein for livestock, poultry, and aquaculture.
Fertilizer Manufacturing: Fish meal is also used in organic fertilizers, where its nutrient content benefits plant growth.
Industrial Uses: Fish meal is employed in various industrial applications, including pet food production and dietary supplements.
Benefits of Using a Fish Meal Dryer
1. Improved Product Quality: By effectively reducing the moisture content, fish meal dryers help produce high-quality fish meal that is free from spoilage and microbial contamination.
2. Increased Shelf Life: Proper drying extends the shelf life of fish meal, making it more suitable for storage and transportation.
3. Enhanced Economic Value: High-quality, dried fish meal commands a better market price, enhancing the economic value of the product.
A fish meal dryer is an indispensable component in the fish meal production process. It ensures the fish meal is dried to the appropriate moisture content, thereby enhancing its quality, shelf life, and market value. By understanding the features, working principles, and applications of a fish meal dryer, producers can optimize their operations and achieve better results.

Fish Meal Production Process Step by Step
Tumblr media
Fish meal production is an intricate process that involves several critical stages to ensure the quality and efficiency of the final product. Understanding these steps provides insight into how fish by-products are transformed into high-quality fish meal for various applications, especially in animal feed. At our company, we specialize in providing top-notch fish meal production equipment and customized plant solutions that cater to your specific needs. Here’s a detailed guide to the fish meal production process step by step, and how our products offer unmatched advantages.
1. Raw Material Selection and Preparation
The first step in fish meal production is selecting the raw materials, which generally include whole fish, fish by-products, and other seafood waste. The raw materials are typically gathered from fishing industries and other seafood processing plants. At this stage, it's crucial to handle the raw materials efficiently to prevent spoilage.
Our fish meal plant www.fishmealplant.com come equipped with advanced raw material handling systems that maintain the freshness and quality of the input, allowing for smooth processing. We offer fully integrated fish meal production solutions that streamline the preparation process.
2. Cooking
The cooking process is critical as it involves heating the raw materials to coagulate the proteins and separate the water and fat. Our fish meal cooker machines are designed to heat raw fish and fish waste uniformly, ensuring the highest yield of fish meal. This process effectively sterilizes the fish, making it safe for further processing.
3. Pressing
After cooking, the fish material is sent through the pressing phase, where water and oil are extracted from the fish mass. This step reduces the moisture content, further separating solid protein matter from the liquid phase. Our fish meal press machines are known for their efficiency, yielding higher-quality fish meal while minimizing waste.
4. Drying
The pressed fish cake is then dried to reduce the moisture content to the desired level, usually around 10%. This step ensures the long shelf life of the fish meal. We offer a range of fish meal dryers, including steam dryers and hot air dryers, to suit different processing requirements. Our equipment optimizes energy consumption, making your fish meal production more cost-effective.
5. Grinding and Sieving
Once the material is dry, it is ground into a fine powder. This process ensures that the fish meal meets the required particle size for animal feed. Our fish meal grinding machines ensure a consistent, uniform product that meets market standards.
6. Packaging and Storage
The final step in the fish meal production process is packaging and storing the fish meal for distribution. Proper packaging is essential to prevent moisture reabsorption and maintain the quality of the fish meal over time. Our packaging systems are designed to protect your product and simplify transportation.

Part One Nine
Eddie let Steve dry his hair after the shower. He knew Eddie understood the concept of the hair dryer, he’d felt it before and understood what it did. He’d watched Steve dry Eddie’s book after all, but practice and theory, apparently, can be very different.
Actually having the warm air pointed at Eddie’s head was not the same, and Eddie had, initially, behaved like a startled cat. It hadn’t helped that Steve had laughed so much he’d had to turn it off again and simply stand and wait for the laughter to pass.
He thought he had his shit back together but, no, one look at Eddie’s affronted face and he was gone again, actually crying tears of laughter. Eddie was much braver the second time, so they got there in the end.
They brush their teeth together, elbow to, well, more shoulder than elbow, in the mirror.
Eddie apparently has decided to just skip some steps tonight, and he has no compunction about getting straight into Steve’s bed.
Steve honestly doesn’t mind. He has genuinely slept better the last two night’s he’s spent with Eddie, and, well, he must just like the company.
There’s no breakfast this morning; Eddie is still sleeping. He’s pretty silent when he sleeps, no snoring or breathing sounds really, but Steve can feel that Eddie’s breathing just fine, considering Steve’s woken up spooning him, Eddie’s tail threaded back through Steve’s legs.
Steve has a face full of Eddie’s hair; the shampoo and conditioner routine are definitely making an improvement; Steve wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s soft, but it’s way better than the wiry mess it had been.
Steve rubs idle circles with his hand on Eddie’s tummy, and he can easily tell where the skin changes from...well, kind of human, to...kind of fish. It’s a little tougher, a little firmer.
Steve brings his hand up over what would be Eddie’s hip and back down; he thinks vaguely that he probably wouldn’t be touching like this if Eddie was equipped like a human.
Well, at least not without taking Eddie to dinner first.
Eddie shifts under Steve’s hand; waking up probably, so Steve withdraws. Except he can’t; Eddie gets Steve firmly by the wrist and puts his hand back, the message clear. When Steve doesn’t immediately move, Eddie moves Steve’s hand for him, tracing the same loop, “good, good,” Eddie tells him, “called?”
“Touch,” Steve says quietly to the back of Eddie’s head, “it’s called touch. I’m touching you.”
“Touch many many many good.”
Steve snorts a laugh, “that many goods is...perfect.”
“Perfect?”
“Good good good. Many many good. The most good. All the good. Perfect.”
Eddie makes an assessing noise, thinking, “Stee perfect.”
Steve snorts a laugh, but can also feel himself blushing with it, and hides his face against Eddie’s shoulder.
Eddie melts into the touch. Which, it makes sense really, doesn’t it? By the sound of it, Eddie was alone in the upside down, pretty much always fighting for his next meal, and then in that tank under Starcourt…Eddie’s probably never known a nice touch...well, ever. It makes sense he’d like it now.
Steve thinks Eddie may have actually fallen asleep again, his body is so lax and still, Steve himself snoozing a little, soothed by the hypnotic movements of his own hand, but then the phone rings and they both startle.
For a split second, Steve considers ignoring it, but he knows he can’t. Not with everything that’s happened; it could be important.
Steve sighs, sitting on the couch next to Eddie, trying to figure out what the fuck they’re going to do.
“Out?” Eddie asks again, pointing down the hall, “Eddidie not safe?”
“No, I know buddy, but you won’t be safe here either.” And fuck the pool should be drained for the winter by now, he’s going to have to do that too, before his parents get back tomorrow.
“Not safe Hawkins Indiana?” Eddie queries.
“It’s just for a few days, hopefully. I just need to figure out what to do, just let me think.”
Eddie sits quietly, plucking at the ruined bottom edge of his sweater.
Steve growls with frustration, “parents.”
“Parents?”
“Yeah buddy...uhm,” Steve gets a photo off the mantelpiece and brings it back, “this is my mum and dad.”
“Mum dad,” Eddie points, just like when he learned the kids names, “friends?”
“No. No not friends,” Eddie frowns tilting his head, “not safe?”
“Not safe for Eddie,” Steve confirms, “I’m going to have to call Hopper.”
“Grass Hopper?” Eddie immediately perks up. He’d followed one across the lawn when the weather was still warmer, and the memory has obviously stuck.
“No, different Hopper,” but Steve can’t help but smile.
Eddie perks up when the doorbell rings, “Hopper? Kids? Birdidie?”
“It’s Hopper, Buddy.”
Steve goes and gets the door, only when he opens it, he's greeted by Joyce and Hopper, “Oh. Hi, Joyce, I wasn’t, uhm, expecting you.”
“You have a mermaid from The Upside Down living in your pool and you think my boys didn’t tell me? After everything?”
“Right,” Steve says, backing up to let them both in, “so you knew too?”
“She rang me when Jon and Will confessed.”
“Right, no wonder you didn’t sound surprised.”
“Oh no,” Hopper takes off his coat, “I already knew, El told me the night Starcourt burned down.”
“Right,” Steve sighs, “of course.”
Hopper helps himself to a beer, eyeing the picture on the fridge, “Eddie drew it,” Steve tells him.
“Huh.”
Eddie sits patiently on the couch. Hopper eyes him like he might sprout tentacles any second, but Joyce says, “Hi Eddie, how are you?” In her kindest most motherly voice, and Steve knows he’s already won Joyce over without even doing anything.
“Hi. Good,” Eddie replies, and watching Eddie engage in conversation with a total stranger, even if it is only a few words, fills him with pride.
“Eddie, this is Joyce, and Hopper.”
“Joyce. Hopper.” He slurs a little over Joyce, but it’s more than recognizable.
“Joyce is Will and Jon’s mom. Hopper is El’s dad.”
Eddie frowns, and Steve recognizes Eddie’s processing face immediately, Eddie shakes his head, pointing at the mantle, “mom, dad.”
“Yeah, they’re my,” Steve taps his own chest, “mom and dad. Hopper is Els dad. Joyce is Wills mom.”
Steve almost sees the light bulb moment, when it clicks for Eddie what Steve means, “book,” Eddie leans over, retrieving his now really rather worn encyclopedia from amongst his stack of work books on the coffee table.
Hopper’s watching him like he might suddenly become a bomb that needs diffusing, but Joyce is learning forward in her chair, eyes kind and focused, hands clasped, clearly enamored of Eddie and what he’s doing.
“Stee?”
“Yeah Buddy?”
Eddie has the book open, and Steve leans over to look. It’s a page about frogs. The picture shows artfully drawn frogspawn, then tadpoles, then something Steve is just now learning is called a ‘froglet’, which is just basically a tiny frog with a tadpole tail, and then the final arrow points to a fully fledged frog.
Eddie points to the tadpoles, “El, Will, Stee,” and then he points to the big frog, “Hopper. Joyce. Mom. Dad.”
“Yeah Buddy, that’s right! You got it,” Eddie grins big and proud, finally figuring it out.
“Oh wow, he’s so clever, could he talk at all, when he first got here?”
“No. He didn’t understand anything, really.”
“Steve that’s so impressive, for him to come this far in, well, weeks, really, is amazing.”
And it has been pushing a couple of months, really, but yeah, Steve gets what Joyce means.
Eddie eyes Hopper and his drink, “Stee. Not later.”
It takes Steve a second, but he gets there, “no, but we could have later now.”
Eddie nods, so Steve goes and gets a beer. Both Hopper’s eyebrows are in his hairline, “you let him drink beer?”
“We only share one,” Steve says, a little defensively.
Eddie grasped the idea of going somewhere in the car really fast. That part was easy. Explaining that the tent needed to come down? Not so much.
Joyce and Hopper have gone again, Hopper with the promise of rearranging the cabin a little with El, and then getting Eddie appropriate groceries. Hopefully it’s only for a couple of days, but Steve has no idea with his parents.
He didn’t want to just send Eddie off with a stranger, even if it is Hopper, so he agreed to bring Eddie over this evening, after he set the pool draining and removed all traces of Eddie from the house.
He wanted to just put Eddie’s things in the bottom of his closet, show Eddie that he wasn’t getting rid of anything. That it would all be there for him when he gets back. Even the tent can be folded and squirreled away in the garage; even if Steve is already dreading putting the thing back up again.
Eddie had packed a bag with no problem, and then watched out of the window as Steve had put it in the car. There wasn’t much he wanted; his book and a coloring book, his walkie (with fresh batteries), some notebooks, his four jerseys and some pencils. His toothbrush.
Steve felt a little bad that Eddie hadn’t somehow accumulated more stuff, but Eddie didn’t seem fussed about it.
He seems fussed about this though, where he’s planted himself squarely in the mouth of the tent and just...won’t move.
He has his hands on what must be a vague approximation of where his hips would be, and Steve figures he’s done that to himself; there’s only one person Eddie could have picked that up from, and it’s him.
“Buddy,” Steve sighs, “we have to go to Hopper’s, okay? So I will put the tent back as soon as I can.”
“No.”
Steve gets up, goes and gets a box from the garage and brings it back. Eddie has stuck his head out to watch Steve, but otherwise hasn’t moved, “look, you can pack it yourself, okay? It’ll be safe, I promise. But we have to do this. No tent. Tent bad for Steve.”
“Why?”
Steve closes his eyes for a second, he really, truly, hates the ‘why?’
“Because...my dad he...he won’t like it. And it’ll be...bad.”
Steve doesn’t know how to explain that the house has to be exactly as they left it, even though the only come back for four weeks a year, if that.
“Bad?”
Steve nods, “dad might...be angry,” Eddie’s frown deepens, “he might...tell Steve bad.”
Eddie frowns, wrestling with the concept, “tell ow?”
“Yeah. Yeah probably,” Steve admits, even though he really doesn’t want to.
Eddie relents, backing up into the tent. He looks unhappy though, as he starts handing Steve things. Two folded towels; Steve replaces these periodically when Eddie brings him damp ones and asks for fresh ones. The slinky. The rubber duck. The Rubik's cube.
Eddie’s bucket, filled with short bits of twig, pine cones and tufts of dried grass, things that may have been flowers at some point.
An antler. Which Steve just, honestly, stares at for a minute, “where did you find this Buddy?”
Eddie points, “tree.”
“Right,” and Steve’s left wondering just how far Eddie goes when Steve’s not here. A delicate, perfectly clean, bird skull follows immediately after, and Steve decides to not even ask. He nestles it carefully in the bucket.
The ground mats follow, and then Steve watches as Eddie reaches up. He frees something from the middle pole, the one that runs across the top of the tent. A necklace, shining silver. Four rings follow, still tangled with the long stems of dried grass Eddie had used to fix them up there. Steve recognizes it all immediately; Eddie’s been in his parents room.
More specifically, his mothers jewellery box. Eddie looks so dejected, so guilty, “buddy, it’s okay, but I have to put these back. You know that, right?”
“In?” Eddie asks, pointing to the house.
“Yeah buddy but...you can have them back, after, okay?” Steve carefully slips Eddie’s treasure into his pocket.

“I swear I just did laundry.” You muttered, frustrated as you stared down at your mostly empty underwear drawer. Your panties had been disappearing at quite an alarming rate but they always ended up in your laundry hamper even if you couldn’t quite remember if you ever even wore them.
You sighed and slammed the drawer shut. Dressed only in an oversized t-shirt, you stomped your way down to the laundry room in some deluded idea that maybe the washer had somehow eaten your underwear.
The small room in the basement of the house echoed with your aggravated curses as you dug through not only the washing machine but also the dryer and the linen closet in the corner. But nope- no panties, dirty or otherwise.
“I give up!” You threw your hands into the air. “Whatever ghost is in this stupid fucking house, stop taking my fucking underwear! I need that shit!” You received no reply back except the house groaning as it settled. “I hate this place.”
Fishing a pair of leggings from the dryer, you tugged them on angrily as you muttered to yourself under your breath. “I’m gonna blow all my savings on fucking panties and ya know what, they’ll just go missing again. This is such bullshit.” Stomping away from the laundry room, you were dead-set on restoring your supply of undergarments and keeping it that way. No pervy ghost would get the better of you.
The wall by the front door creaked ominously as you stuffed your feet into the worn sneakers you couldn’t seem to part from. You didn’t even bother to address your haunted mansion, only stepping into the brisk morning and slamming the door shut behind you. It would be a long drive to the shops but it would give you time to plan your revenge.
——————
Your anger had dissolved to almost nothing by the time you pulled back into the driveway, getting home a lot later than you expected. It was stupid to think that the house was haunted; it was old, sure and a questionable history, no doubt. But haunted? That was idiotic at best. Yeah, you heard the ghost stories and still couldn’t find it in yourself to take down any of the creepy family portraits scattered around the eerie hallways. You were just lonely and in desperate need of some inspiration for your stagnating writing.
Your sigh was carried off on the breeze as you stepped from your car. The heat still emanating from the engine gave you a brief respite from the cold while you gathered yourself. “I’m losing my fucking mind.” The plastic bag stuffed full of brand new panties crinkled as you pulled it from the back seat, along with a well-deserved (in your opinion) bag of Chinese food from the only takeaway shop in a 50 mile radius.
Too lost in your own head, you didn’t notice the light on in one of the empty bedrooms and the dark silhouette against the thick glass of the window. Maybe if you had, you would’ve thought better than to call out into the house as you took off your shoes. “Honey! I’m home!”
You chuckled to yourself at your little joke, completely oblivious to the barely audible footsteps above you. The bag of panties landed with a soft thud at the foot of the stairs as you passed by it, a gentle reminder to bring them upstairs once you had your fill of bland food and plenty of wine.
The huge shadow that darted behind the wall followed after you, far closer than it normally was though, as usual, you were ignorant to its presence. You hummed under your breath as you laid out your feast on the kitchen table. The food was now only lukewarm though you didn’t mind, the cheap bottle of red sitting in the pantry would warm you up plenty.
You pulled the cork from the bottle stem with a satisfying pop, too occupied by your task to see the large painting of a landscape lift itself from its place on the wall. The squeak of the Styrofoam covered the creak of the floorboards as a heavy weight settled on them.
Just as you pulled out a kitchen chair, you heard heavy breathing over your shoulder.
“Welcome home.” The voice that rang out through the room was a strange mixture of that of a young boy and a grown man. Your entire body froze as fear shot through your veins. The house settled into silence as your gaze creeped to where the voice had come from.
Standing in front of a man-sized hole in the wall was a veritable giant. He loomed over you, even at a distance, his body wide with sinewy muscle that was barely covered by the large cardigan he wore. Greasy black curls hung down over his face or rather what should have been his face. The orange glow of the kitchen lights bounced off the cracked white porcelain, making his dark brown eyes stand out as they shone with anxiety.
“I’ve been waiting for you, I missed you.” His paw-like hands clasped together in front of him, his fingers nervously intertwining as he waited for you to do something, anything.
Your lips parted and there was only one thing you could think of to say. “You took my underwear.” His whole body curled in on itself as he cringed like a little kid when they would get in trouble. His head bobbed. “How- how long have you been here?”
“My whole life.” He answered. His huge shoulders dropped as he lowered his head, looking at you through his eyelashes.
“Holy shit, you’re Brahms.” The boy who supposedly died in a fire in this very house almost 20 years ago. Suddenly you knew why you got this house for so fucking cheap. “And you’ve been watching me?” His nod was slow, almost as if he were ashamed.
“You’re nice.” He simpered.
“Oh fuck,” You whined, “This is a great idea for a book. C’mon get some food, I suppose that neither of us are going anywhere for a while.” He lumbered over, his eyes still wary but the slight pink tint that you could see spreading down his neck told you just how pleased he was with this development.
“Were you the one deleting my writing?” Brahms’s breath hitched and before you could blink, he grabbed a box of fried rice and scurried back into the hole in the wall.

*Obvs click to enlarge pic and read them better*
So uuuuh...I definitley had fun drawing this big guy if you couldn't tell 🤣 (And the titles for each, too; all under the Alt tab). Tried to keep him at least somewhat consistent? Was using refs from both @fluffy--mafia and @reanimatedbrainmeat.
I had asked @fluffy--mafia what Angelo's like with kiddos, aaaaand that's kind of how this came about! Initially started as just one idea with one kid...then just kinda blossomed from there. I think the angle with most of them that I was aiming for was like..."the uncle who's not actually your uncle, but your parent(s) hang out with them/are good friends with them, and they're around enough that they're practically one". Maybe a bit of a unique sitch, cuz...y'know, KND kids, but the fact that they have to kinda keep it secret...
what's even funnier is that they hate Father and the DCFDTL probably would hate Carol on principle, lol..buuuut gotta keep up appearances.
Anyway, artist notes time! Under the read more cuz it got long. Various Italian terms of endearment and a couple of headcanons ahead.
1.) Kitty/Numbuh M-30-W (and the sector by proxy/association) is actually banned from a couple of aquariums, based solely on the fact that she always wants to go swimming with the fish. I like to imagine that Angelo's got his and his crew have several from local pet stores, considering the whole "hamster-eating" thing...>.>
2.) Ramsay's/Numbuh 350F's so happy, lol. Now the question is, is he actually making a sauce for some "actually edible for kids" meal, or is he boiling/seasoning socks like this one pic 😂.
3.) Per @fluffy--mafia: "I think the only time he clashes with the KND/kids is when they interrupt his business ventures. Me and my fiancĂŠe (ReanimatedBrainMeat) have a few confrontations in mind (episodes really). One involved him coming to an agreement with kids to have monsters clean their room in exchange for dirty socks (monster delicacy), and that turns into blackmail when they run out of socks.".
...Listen, as far as any of their parents are concerned, the socks are dissapearing somewhere into the void that exists in their washers/dryers...mostly theirs, lol. And Buzz/Numbuh Z-00-M, plans to keep it that way, cuz damn, if cleaning your room isn't some form of torture, IDK what is.
4.) Beckham/Numbuh 90 Mins , you're like 4'3"; shush, you are indeed baby.
5.) Per @fluffy--mafia: "So Angelo doesn’t hate kids, surprisingly. Sure, he’s a monster, and monsters scare kids, but that’s just an unfortunately bi-product of being scary and ugly lol. And also appearing under people’s bed, that’s pretty creepy. But Angelo himself, he doesn’t hate kids, and is pretty soft and gentle to them (as soft and gentle as a big Italian monster can be lol). These are kids, and they are just doing kid shit. He even tries not to curse around them, but that’s pretty hard."
WELP, doesn't exactly have to worry about with Minerva/Numbuh 75001 (as much). Girl's got the mouth of a sailor. ...You'd think that Candy/Numbuh SW-33-T would be the one that had that problem, but nope! 😂
6.) I dunno, out of the seven, I'd imagine if anyone were to be spoiled ("spoiled") by the big guy, it'd be Val/Numbuh 6-5000. Being the daughter of a count's gotta come with some panache (even though she very, very rarely pulls the title card, usually only for emergencies...she's humble about it), and dang it, he's gonna make sure she knows it! Plus maybe a bit of sympathy for the whole "monster" thing (granted, she's only half vampire, but it's still kinda tough)...?
~~~~~
Non-specific HC that Angelo just calls them all by various little terms of endearment, sometimes matching them (i.e. Kitty being Micia), other times just general ones...sometimes gets a bit creative with them.
Yeah, he's a big time mob monster and there's that whole thing with the hamsters (don't tell Kitty, she'd be piiiiiiiissed), but other than that, I like to imagine that he's just like... Zio Angelo to them. To an extent, of course. Maybe they've clashed a couple times, but the whole sock trade keeps everyone civil. wHO KNOOOOWS. I'm totally open to headcanons on my end as well, lol. SOMEhow it works.
Alas! Finally the kitty fic:
-----------------------
It wasn't raining, it was pouring. Jonah winced as he looked out of the window, tugging on the sleeves of his sweater and walking across the room, so he could turn up the thermostat a little bit.
It was quite the uneventful Friday. Leo had court today, so he was late and hadn't texted, but Jon wasn't worried, since that was par for the course. He had done his clinic hours in the morning and then gone home, spending the rest of the evening fixing up the place.
Vince wasn't a super messy guy, but he wasn't extra neat either and he had been unable to move for a while. Now he was back in the dorms, despite Leo complaining it was silly not to stay another week, at least so he could remove the sling, but Vin was nothing if not a very proud guy.
So now he was gone and Jonah couldn't help but relax a little bit. He had liked having the guy around and liked helping his friend, feeling like his care actually was being translated into understandable, tangible acts, but he was also very relieved to have him gone. It was good to have home just to the two of them again.
Jonah huffed as he fished out a pair of Vin's socks from the washing machine and rolled his eyes, throwing it in the dryer alongside the rest of their clothes.
This was something else that was new. Doing laundry.
He used to simply send his clothes down, his fancy building had a laundry service and they sent up the clothes ironed and smelling amazing. Leo, though, was against them using it. In his own words "you're a fucking adult, just use your washing machine."
So they did laundry now, or at least everything except for Leo's suits and Jon's fussy shirts, because neither of them were about to iron those.
Jon was sorting the frozen meals - finally they could have lactose again - when the landline rang. No one ever phoned him home, ever, so he frowned and reached for it immediately.
"Hello?"
"Mr. Banks, hello. It's Matthew from the front desk," the older man said and Jonah raised his eyebrows as he wondered why the call. Certainly they hadn't received any packages past six o'clock when it was raining hell outside.
"Hi, Matthew," Jon frowned, "what's the matter?"
"I might be overstepping, sir," Matthew sounded a little fearful, "but Mr. Wagner's been sitting in his car in the garage for at least thirty minutes now and I'm a little concerned."
"How did-"
"The cameras, sir," Matthew explained and Jon nodded, realizing a minute later the man couldn't see him.
"You're not overstepping at all, Matthew, thank you for calling. I'm gonna go check on him, thanks."
"You're welcome, sir. Have a nice evening."
Jonah hung up and immediately went to retrieve his phone. There was no new text from Leo. Uh. Very weird.
He put his shoes back on and left the apartment, deciding to investigate.
True to what Matthew had said, Leo was sitting in his own car - a much older car, that Jonah generally despised with his whole being. The driver's door was open, one of Leo's legs hanging outside and the engine was off.
"Leo?" Jon asked, stepping closer and beyond confused, "baby, what are you doing sitting here?"
"Hey..." Leo sounded exhausted, but most importantly, his voice had a super soft characteristic that sent alarm bells through Jon. He moved closer to get a good look of his boyfriend and then frowned.
Leo was soaked wet. His suit, his tie, his hair, everything was a shade darker, as if he had jumped on the deep end of a pool instead of just catching some rain before getting in the car. His face was really pale.
"What the hell happ- What's that?" Jonah interrupted himself as he realized Leo was holding something to his chest.
"It's a kitty," Leo said softly, then sniffled grossly and Jon started to get the full situation. He ignored the cat and reached in, planting his hand to Leo's forehead. It was burning up.
"You have a fever, Leo," Jonah said flatly, "a high one, I'm guessing. Where did you get that thing?"
"Don't call him that," Leo scoffed, gently playing with one of the kitten's triangular ears, "he's so sweet-"
"Don't kiss that!" Jonah scolded as he watched, with a grimace, as his boyfriend planted a kiss on top of the animal's little head, "it's probably full of diseases!"
"Don't be mean," Leo scoffed, smoothing the cat's fur, "he was crying behind the courthouse, behind some boxes."
"I'm guessing you got yourself soaked trying to capture it?" Jonah rolled his eyes, "okay, baby, get out of the car. You need to get out of these wet clothes, they're probably freezing."
"He had no one," Leo whined, not moving as he continued to pet the cat, "he was all alone, there was no mom..."
"Okay, Leo," Jonah rolled his eyes, grabbing his arm and pulling him out, "we're gonna get that thing to a shelter, but first you need a hot shower-"
"Shelter?" Leo's blue eyes were sparkling with the fever, big on his face. He squeezed the cat closer to his chest, causing the little animal to meow and paw at his tie, "no shelter," he blinked quickly, "please, Jon, not a shelter..."
Jonah frowned. He knew this voice well enough now to know this was something deeper, a trigger just waiting for him to be dumb enough and pull it. Instead he shook his head, "Okay, no shelter. I'm sure someone at the hospital will love it-"
"I'm not giving him away" Leo scoffed, once again kissing the cat and causing Jonah to cringe in disgust, "look. at. him, Jon," he held the pet to Jon's face, "he's the cutest thing! And- And he was all alone! And he needed someone... He needs a family!"
"Okay..." Jonah cringed, ignoring the cat's pitiful face right under his chin, instead looking at his boyfriend, "baby, let's just go upstairs, alright?"
Leo nodded, hiccupping and causing Jon to frown as he slammed the door shut, "is your belly upset?"
"No, I'm just cold," he said, teeth chattering, "you like him, don't you?" he continued to pet the cat, "he's so cute."
Jonah rolled his eyes, "yeah, adorable," he pushed Leo towards the elevator, "when did this fever hit you?"
"I have a fever?" Leo asked, completely enthralled by the kitten in his arms, "I think he's not a stray, his spots look fancy."
"It's a cat, Leo," Jonah huffed, cupping his boyfriend's cheeks, "baby, when did you start feeling sick?"
"I'm not sick," Leo pushed his hand away, grabbing his wrist and forcing Jonah to pet the cat, "what should we name him?"
Jonah stared at it, unimpressed. He had never been a pet person, ever. Not even back when he was a kid, his mom used to keep fancy birds and his father had one hunting dog, but Jonah had kept his distance from both pets.
The kitten meowed, still busy playing with Leo's tie. It was a really small thing, with big blue eyes and white fur, with some dark beige spots all over it. It's nose was a dark brown triangle and yeah, it was alright.
"Leo, can you answer me, please?"
"What about?" Leo sniffled again, resting his head on Jon's shoulder and smiling at the kitten, "hi, babyyy..."
"When did you start feeling sick?" Jonah repeated the question, pressing his lips to the blonde's forehead. He was burning up.
"Uhm, I was feeling pretty crappy during court..." Leo's voice broke and he grimaced, pressing a fist to his mouth as he started to cough, "I guess-" he coughed again, startling the animal, that started to climb his suit jacket, "after lunch...? Hey, where are you going..."
Jonah glared as the cat tried to hook it's claws on his sweater, "get it off of me."
"He's not gonna hurt you, he's just exploring," Leo said, his voice a lot more scratchier, "c'mere, sweetheart..."
"Stop kissing this thing, Leo, you're gonna get mono or fucking toxoplasmosis from it."
"Toxo-what?" Leo chuckled, "the pregnant women thing?" he clearly found it amusing, as he snuggled closer to Jon, trying to steal his warmth, "he's not gonna make me sick, don't be silly."
"Sure," Jonah let out a sigh of relief as the elevator came to a stop, "okay... Give me the thing."
"You mean the kitty?" Leo pouted, holding it defensively.
"Yeah, you need to get in the shower, baby. You're freezing to death," Jonah made a face as he attempted to grab the cat so Leo could shower. The blonde jumped back, his shoes squishing water.
"You're not gonna get rid of him, are you?" he pouted, holding the kitten close to his heart, "I love him."
Jon scoffed, "took you months to say I love you to me, you prick," he said, trying once again to grab the kitten. The animal hissed at him and Leo immediately cooed.
"See, he knows you're trying to get rid of him," Leo glared at him, "I'm not gonna give you the kitty."
"Oh for fuck's sake, Leo!" Jonah exclaimed, moving faster and snatching the pet, only to be scratched. He dropped it, by accident and the kitten immediately ran from him, hiding under the couch, "ah, bloody hell-"
"Why would you do that!" Leo cried out, rushing to the couch, "he didn't do anything to you, stop being such a fucking grinch!" he dropped to all fours near the couch and reached out with a hand, saying softly "here pspspsp, c'mere sweetheart..."
Jonah stared at him, then back at his hand. Baby claws or not, the kitten had managed to break skin and left a little bloody cut on the back of his hand. He pinched his nose bridge, "Leo-"
"He's got no one!" Leo shouted at him, not even bothering to look his way, "and he needs us!"
"You're sick," Jonah sighed, rubbing his temple, "the fever is making you emotional. A pet is a big responsibility-"
"I'm not emotional," Leo scoffed, falling on his ass and glaring at him, "I've always wanted a pet. This is my home. He needs a family. We're keeping him."
Jonah's mouth dropped and he tried to come up with an argument - one that wasn't absolutely not - but instead he snapped it shut, "can we talk about this tomorrow?"
"No," Leo shook his head, then coughed in the crook of his elbow. Deep, chesty coughs that made Jonah want to step closer and rub his back, an instinct he fought valiantly and stood his ground. Leo rasped for breath and glared at him again, "no. I'm not budging on this, Jon. I want it."
"And I don't want it," Jonah frowned, but he could feel his own will quickly melting away. It was rare Leo was ever this adamant about something. Clearly this was important.
"I'm not gonna beg for it," Leo's voice was steel, rasp be damned.
Jon shook his head, "I don't want you to beg. I want us to talk..." he trailed off, then rolled his eyes as the cat slipped from under the couch and climbed between Leo's legs, sitting on his lap like a pocket sized leopard. It was a little bit cute, he conceded, "is this a deal breaker for you?"
"Yes," Leo's said strongly, although his shoulders dropped as he realized the battle won.
Jonah nodded, then glared at the cat, "we're not naming it something stupid like Snowball."
"Okay," Leo grinned.
"And it stays off the bedroom."
"Okay," Leo's smile only grew.
"And stop kissing that thing until we get it checked by a vet."
"Fine, done," Leo said happily, "can we go to a vet in the morning?"
"Sure," Jon rolled his eyes, "now give me the cat, you need a shower still."
"Be gentle with him," Leo said softly, picking up the cat and the quickly kissing it one last time, causing Jon to scowl at him, "couldn't help it."
"You're not kissing me," Jon scoffed, pointing the hallway and taking the kitten, "go wash up, I'll- I'll find a box for- For him."
"Look at it, Jon," Leo smiled, using the couch to pull himself up, "he's adorable."
"If you say so," Jonah looked down at the cat and yeah, it was a little fucking adorable, trying to climb his sweater and meowing pitifully, "shower, Leo."
"I'm going," Leo said, still with a huge smile on his face and a dreamy look on his glazed eyes, "I'm just... Just give me a second."
Jonah let out a huff and smiled, "you huge sap," he said, then petted the kitten behind it's ears, smiling when the animal snapped it's head, trying to nibble at his finger, "he's like a little leopard."
"Yeah," Leo's voice was dripping with sweetness, "a little Leo."
"Ugh," Jonah groaned at the joke, "you're so sick, you're delusional. Get out of here, Leo."
--------
When Leo woke up again, it was late. Really, slept-past-lunch type of late. He never woke up this late, years of waking up early for school and then even more early for football practice were ingrained in him.
He blamed it on the cold, that he definitely had. There was a dull ache in his head, no doubt toned down by the meds sitting on the bedside table that he did not remember taking. A box of tissues, already opened and half used. His throat burned when he swallowed.
"Fuck," he groaned, sitting up on the bed and then glancing to his side, in search of his boyfriend. Jon's side of the bed was made, sheets fitted and blankets smoothed up.
Leo pouted, getting out of the bed and swaying on his feet. He put on a pullover that was lumpy and ugly to stop the shivering and then walked into the bathroom to wash his face... He was halfway brushing his teeth when last night hit him, just as he his old clothes in the laundry basket under the sink.
The cat!
He spat in the sink and washed his mouth as quickly as he could, then ran out of the bathroom, "Jon? Where's the cat?" Leo called, getting out of the room and power walking to the kitchen, "Jonah?"
Nothing but silence answered him. Jonah wasn't home and clearly neither was the cat.
"Nononono," Leo chanted, refusing to believe Jon would simply get rid of the little kitten while he slept. He checked the laundry room, then under the couch and inside the guest room, a series of coughs wrecking through him and causing his eyes to burn. There was a tight knot in his throat.
Jonah wouldn't get rid of the cat, right?
Leo let out a shuddering breath and fell on his ass next to the guest room's bed, leaning on his knees. He blamed the sudden wetness in his eyes on the low grade fever and sniffled pitifully, this simply wasn't right.
The front door opened and he heard a rustle, then Jon's voice "Leo? You awake?"
Rubbing angrily at his eyes, Leo swallowed against the choked up knot in his throat and walked out of the room, "where were you?"
"Lots of places, Sleeping Beauty," Jonah grinned, dropping his car keys on the table next to the door and a bag filled with medicine, "stopped by the pharmacy, got you some decent meds... Leo?"
"Where's the cat?" he frowned, crossing his arms. He still expected Jon to smile and say Surprise!, "Jon, where did you take him?"
"Her," Jon rolled his eyes, "it wasn't a boy," he shook his head, "she's a little drowsy, lots of adventures."
He stepped out of the door and into the hallway again and Leo could've cried with how happy he was as his boyfriend returned with a beige carrier.
"Meet JD Wagner Banks," Jonah smiled, fishing the cat out of the carrier and handing her to him. True to what he said, she was all sleepy and boneless, "they gave her a drug cocktail, so she's a bit out of it."
"J... JD?" Leo said in the smallest voice, eyes burning again as he took the kitten and held her to his chest, "what does it stand for...?"
"Jasmine Dean," Jonah looked very proud of himself, "JD for short... Oh you hate it," he grimaced as Leo let out a whimper.
"No, I don't, I- You gave her your family's J...?" Leo was doing a piss poor job of hiding how moved he was, "I thought you had gotten rid of her."
Jon pouted, stepping closer, "I wouldn't. Not while you slept, Leo, c'mon," he groaned, leaning in to kiss him, "give me some credit."
"I know," Leo sniffled, "I'm just- It was stupid, I'm sorry. I love you... I love her name too."
"Yeah?" Jonah smiled into the kiss, "good, because we can't change it now."
you know that life is supposed to be beautiful.  it is—and you know this for a fact.  in the remote coastal town you live in, there’s nothing that can keep a day from seeming so gorgeous, even in a monsoon.  however, it can get dreadfully boring.  it’s a tourist attraction for the middle of the summer, but by the end, when the heat is sweltering and everyone goes back to their respective countries having experienced a fulfilling summer, there’s nothing to keep you entertained.
you think that the end of august on this sweltering summer day, wearing light clothes to keep yourself from overheating, will drag on until you melt like dropped ice cream on the sidewalk.  that is, until some vibrant foreigner ambles around the town square, holding up a map and walking around in circles.  you watch him for a second as his eyes flit from the map to the storefronts then back again, nibbling on his lip and muttering to himself in japanese.  you’re not cruel, so you approach him.
“hi,” you say, your hands on your hips to air out your underarms.  “looking for something?”
“oh!”  you could’ve sworn his ears perk up like a dog’s when he hears your voice and peers up at you from over the map.  “i’m looking for-”
he fumbles your dad’s tackle shop’s name and you laugh and tell him you know exactly where it is.  he follows you, asking about the town and you answer politely, wondering who he is and where he comes from.  he’s nearly over the moon when you arrive at the shop and let him know that it’s your dad who owns it.  he introduces himself as nishinoya yuu, noya to his friends, and you introduce yourself.  he tells you that he enjoys fishing and was looking for a spot to go out to try.
within the hour, you’re driving noya out past the coast (your dad took the day off with the exodus of customers) to a spot your dad frequents.   you tell each other about yourselves and it’s like a breath of fresh air.  he’s well-traveled for someone so young (and really cute too).  he doesn’t plan on staying for more than a week, by which you’re disappointed, but you’re determined to make the most of his stay for him.  you’re pleasantly surprised by the dexterity of his hands, the strength of his abdominals, and the sheer number of fish he catches.
your parents adore him and offer him to stay at your place when he brings them all back and chats with your parents in the kitchen when they cook up a few of them.  they love him even more when he says to cook a few extra because of how much he can eat.
you know that life is supposed to be beautiful.  it is—and you know this for a fact.  in the august heatwave of your little summer tourist town, where it can get awfully boring to the point where you feel like you’re aimlessly melting like dropped ice cream on the sidewalk.  noya reminds you with each place he asks you to show him, each flash of an elated smile when he’s pleasantly surprised with what you show him, each stolen kiss (among other things) on secluded excursions, that there is so much to feel in the time you have to experience it—and he makes you realize you don’t wanna die until you feel it all.
"BLECH, DO NOT REMIND ME OF THOSE OLD DISGUSTING SCRAPS THE COOK WOULD MAKE. DRIED BEANS, DRIED MEAT, DRIED BISCUITS, EACH ONE DRYER THAN THE LAST! WHY IS IT THAT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BLOODY OCEAN, ALL OUR FOOD IS DRIED!! THOUGH SPECIFICALLY, THE LAST MEAL I REMEMBER HAVING WAS A BIT OF THOSE BEANS, TOPPED WITH OUR RARE CATCH OF TUNA. A CRIME TO PUT SUCH A LOVELY FISH ON SUCH HORRIBLE FOOD!!"
Laundry, Whiskey & A Poacher
Today was day filled with GPS challenges resulting in lots of laughs and chalking them all up to being part of the experience! First of all, after being on the road for 10 days you end up with a great need for getting your clothes laundered. That being the case with us, we left for Ballina this morning in search for a laundry mat. Guess what, no laundry mats in Ballina a town of 10,000+. Well maybe one, if you call three washing machines and dryers stacked on one another outdoors at a Circle K convenient store!
We ended up finding a dry cleaners that would also do laundry. They couldn’t have been more helpful and turned around all of our clothes in a few hours. I tried to tip the owner but she insisted that it was her pleasure to help us out! We’re locked and loaded for another week and my lovely spouse will now stop calling me Pig Pen!:-)
We walked around Ballina’s quaint downtown area, grabbed a latte, and bought a few essentials at one of their many very small drugstores. No CVS or Walgreens here. It’s one of the things I like most about traveling throughout the countryside of Ireland. It feels very much like a step back in time with all the locally owned businesses located on narrow main streets. They actually have shoe stores, dress shops and drug stores that all carry the names of local proprietors. Ballina has a very vibrant downtown. We decided we really like this place!
Making our way back to Mount Falcon we arrived to the first really hard rain of our trip. It lasted only a short while and after that it was overcast with a little short shower from time to time for the rest of the day.
I think most of you would find Mount Falcon a very unique place. Today you could go on a Hawk Walk where a hawk rests on your gloved hand and you join in an interactive experience where the hawk flys thru the trees of the forest showing different flying and hunting techniques.
There is clay pigeon shooting, salmon fishing and several other falcon experiences in addition to the Hawk Walk. Before we leave, we’re trying to schedule a Hawk Walk and The Birds of Prey Experience. It’s proving to be difficult to fit these in with our golf tee times! I’m sure you feel sorry for us:-)
Tonight we went to The Poacher Restaurant, a can’t miss eatery if you’re staying a few days in Ballina. The food, ambiance and service were all top notch. Best meal we have had in Ireland so far! We also are planning on going to Doherty’s Pub tomorrow based upon my friend Tom Coyne’s recommendation. Tom said a couple of free Guinness’s will be awaiting us when stop by after our round at Enniscrone.
I’m concluding this post, as I consume a couple of shots of Red Breast Whiskey. This whiskey  was a recommendation of my Sagamore golfing buddy Dale Tokarski. Thanks Dale, it’s a smooth as you reported!  Tomorrow is golf at Enniscrone Golf Club. Will report back on how we faired playing another of Irelands’s top links golf courses. Life is tough!! gb
Sunday 2nd March
Today we left Te Anau on our way to Dunedin. We left at 0830 and didn’t arrive until about 1630. Having said that we did have the usual usually 2 holy stops. Some longer and more interesting than others. Stops are for passenger comfort stoop (think toilet and coffee😁) but the driver is required to stop as well. Our first stop of any length was at Mandeville. We had a few things to do here which included lunch. There is a very good aviation museum (Croydon Aviation Museum)of mostly World War One plans but others as well. They also do restoration of the old bin planes and you could do a tour of the restoration facility which I passed on! The same are also has the Waimea Plains Railway home of the Roger’s K92 Steam locomotive. Lovely man who heads up this enterprise is brimming with enthusiasm and although the train was y going when we came they have lot of plans. We also had lunch there sitting outside in the w arm sun. Have to say the meals incl the lunches which I often packed lunches have been excellent and different. Almost gourmet!
Our next stop was the town of Gore. The town before Gore is called Clinton so the locals call them piece of highway between the 2 tows “the presidential highway”😂. Being Sunday Gore was not exactly rocking but we did get into see the art gallery. They did have a collection of a well known NZ artist but forgotten his name. He tended to team up with a poet and mix poetry and art and his paintings seemed very abstract and in dark colours. Can’t say I was impressed. They had a lot of international statues and bits and where they came from I have no idea. Certainly not what you would expect to find in a little country town in NZ. We also got to go to their museum in Gore which is really dedicated to Hokonui Moonshine Museum and is dedicated to the period of prohibition in NZ and the temperance movement in the area and of course the inevitable Moonshine activities! Really an excellent and well researched bit of social history. Gore is also famous for trout fishing and is the Tamworth of NZ. So of course the town has a Big Trout and a Big Guitar!!
Our last stop before Dunedin was at the Council Offices for a place called Balclutha which is named after the Clutha River. The Shire office building is new, impressive and has multiple uses. It houses the tourist information, locals services, a cinema and lots more. Has to be seen to be believed and could be a model for some of our City and Shire offices. However the big takeaway for me is that I got a choc top icecream (remember they have a cinema there so of course they sell choc tops! ). These choc tops were double scoop!! Couldn’t believe the towering chocolate covered thing she gave me! Very nice too. Another thing we could duplicate😂.
We finally made it to Dunedin and had a lovely dinner in a separate dining room to the hoi poloi. This hotel is extremely upmarket. The rooms are large with microwave and cups, plates etc and every room has its own washer and dryer(behind a discrete door in the bathroom. ) Dunedin is a lovely city and has lots of really old architecture. Unfortunately we aren’t here long enough to see it.
We have unfortunately had some people come down with a virus. There are about 5 so far.😬
Lifestyle Changes to Prevent Hair Fall
Tumblr media
Hair fall is a common concern affecting people of all ages. While genetics and medical conditions play a role, lifestyle factors significantly influence hair health. Making simple yet effective changes in your daily routine can strengthen hair follicles, reduce breakage, and promote natural regrowth. This article explores essential lifestyle modifications to prevent hair fall and maintain healthy, luscious locks.
1. Maintain a Nutrient-Rich Diet
Your hair needs a balanced diet rich in essential vitamins and minerals to grow strong and healthy. Ensure your meals include:
Protein: Hair is primarily made of keratin, a protein. Include eggs, fish, lean meats, legumes, and nuts in your diet.
Iron: A deficiency in iron can cause hair thinning. Consume leafy greens, red meat, and lentils.
Biotin and Vitamin B Complex: These vitamins support hair growth. Find them in eggs, dairy, and whole grains.
Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Found in fish, flaxseeds, and walnuts, these help nourish hair follicles and prevent dryness.
Zinc and Vitamin E: These micronutrients enhance scalp health and reduce hair fall.
2. Stay Hydrated
Water is essential for overall health, including hair care. Dehydration makes hair brittle and prone to breakage. Aim for at least 8 glasses of water daily to keep your hair hydrated from the inside out.
3. Use Gentle Hair Care Products
Choosing the right hair care products can prevent hair damage and excessive shedding. Harsh chemical-based shampoos strip natural oils, weakening the hair strands. Opt for Ayurvedic Shampoo For Hair Fall, which contains natural ingredients that strengthen the scalp and promote healthier hair.
4. Massage Your Scalp Regularly
Scalp massage improves blood circulation and enhances hair follicle strength. Using Best Ayurvedic Hair Oil For Hair Growth nourishes the scalp with herbal ingredients that stimulate hair regrowth and prevent thinning.
5. Reduce Heat Styling and Chemical Treatments
Excessive use of blow dryers, curling irons, and straighteners weakens hair and leads to breakage. Similarly, chemical treatments like coloring, perming, and relaxing damage hair structure. Limit the use of heat and chemicals, and always use a heat protectant when styling.
6. Wash Hair with Lukewarm Water
Hot water strips natural oils from the scalp, leading to dryness and hair fall. Wash your hair with lukewarm water to maintain moisture levels and scalp health.
7. Practice Stress Management
Chronic stress is a major cause of hair loss. Engage in stress-relieving activities such as:
Meditation and yoga
Regular exercise
Adequate sleep (7-8 hours per night)
Practicing mindfulness and deep breathing techniques
8. Get Enough Sleep
Sleep plays a crucial role in hair growth and overall body repair. Poor sleep affects hormone levels, leading to hair fall. Maintain a consistent sleep schedule and create a relaxing bedtime routine to improve sleep quality.
9. Protect Hair from Environmental Damage
Pollution, UV rays, and harsh weather conditions weaken hair strands. Wear a hat or scarf when stepping outside, and rinse your hair after exposure to dust and pollutants.
10. Trim Hair Regularly
Regular trims prevent split ends and breakage, keeping hair healthier in the long run. Schedule a trim every 6-8 weeks to maintain hair strength and appearance.
11. Avoid Tight Hairstyles
Pulling hair into tight ponytails, buns, or braids can cause tension on the scalp, leading to traction alopecia. Opt for loose hairstyles to minimize hair stress.
12. Incorporate Herbal Remedies
Ayurvedic treatments have been used for centuries to combat hair fall. Natural ingredients such as Bhringraj, Amla, Neem, and Aloe Vera improve scalp health and hair growth. Consider using Best Hair Growing Oil to nourish and strengthen hair from the roots.
13. Choose Ayurvedic Hair Cleansers
Switching to natural hair cleansers can make a significant difference. Herbal shampoos free from sulfates and parabens gently cleanse the scalp without stripping essential oils. Best Ayurvedic Shampoo For Hair Fall contains herbal extracts that nourish hair and prevent excessive shedding.
Conclusion
Preventing hair fall is not just about using the right products but also making consistent lifestyle changes. A nutritious diet, proper hydration, stress management, and gentle hair care routines all contribute to healthier, stronger hair. By incorporating Ayurvedic solutions and natural remedies, you can effectively reduce hair fall and achieve vibrant, thick hair naturally. Start making these changes today, and your hair will thank you for it!
Naari Shringaar : Timeless Beauty Secrets, Tradition, and Grace
In today’s fast-paced world, where pollution, stress, and unhealthy lifestyle choices dominate, taking care of your skin and hair has become more important than ever. Achieving glowing skin and healthy hair requires more than just expensive products; it’s about understanding the fundamental connection between skincare, hair care, and healthy eating. The key to radiance lies in nourishing your body both inside and out. In this article, we will explore the essential steps to attain glowing skin, healthy hair, and overall wellness through proper skincare, Hair Care , and nutrition.
Skincare for a Glowing Complexion
The foundation of glowing skin starts with a consistent skincare routine. Cleansing, exfoliating, moisturizing, and protecting your skin from the sun are all vital steps.
Cleansing: It’s essential to cleanse your skin twice a day to remove dirt, oil, and impurities. Choose a gentle cleanser that suits your skin type—whether it’s oily, dry, or combination skin.
Exfoliating: Exfoliation helps to remove dead skin cells, promoting the growth of fresh, healthy skin. Use a mild exfoliator two to three times a week to prevent clogged pores and dull skin.
Moisturizing: Hydration is crucial for maintaining plump, smooth, and glowing skin. Find a moisturizer with ingredients like hyaluronic acid or glycerin to lock in moisture and give your skin a healthy, hydrated glow.
Sun Protection: Never skip sunscreen. UV rays can damage your skin and lead to premature aging, dark spots, and even skin cancer. Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher and apply it every day, even in winter.
Hair Care for Healthy, Shiny Locks
Just as your skin needs care, your hair deserves attention too. Healthy hair reflects your overall health, and with the right hair care routine, you can achieve shiny, strong, and manageable hair.
Cleansing and Conditioning: Use a sulfate-free shampoo that matches your hair type to avoid stripping away natural oils. Follow up with a conditioner to keep your hair hydrated and smooth. If your hair is dry, a deep conditioning treatment once a week can work wonders.
Avoid Heat Damage: Excessive heat styling can damage the hair shaft, making hair dry and brittle. Limit the use of blow dryers, straighteners, and curling irons. If you must use heat, always apply a heat protectant spray beforehand.
Regular Trimming: To keep your hair healthy and free from split ends, schedule regular trims every 6–8 weeks. This will help your hair grow stronger and prevent breakage.
Scalp Care: Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. Make sure to give your scalp the attention it deserves by massaging it gently with your fingertips to promote blood circulation and encourage hair growth.
Healthy Eating for Glowing Skin and Healthy Hair
What you put into your body is just as important as what you put on it. Eating a balanced diet rich in essential nutrients can promote glowing skin and healthy hair from the inside out.
Hydrate Well: Water is essential for maintaining skin elasticity and hydration. Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily to keep your skin glowing and your hair nourished.
Antioxidants and Vitamins: Foods rich in antioxidants, such as berries, leafy greens, and nuts, can help fight free radicals and protect the skin from aging. Vitamin C-rich foods like oranges and bell peppers help with collagen production, ensuring skin elasticity and hair growth.
Healthy Fats: Include healthy fats like omega-3 fatty acids in your diet. These can be found in foods like avocados, olive oil, and fish. They nourish your hair and skin, keeping them hydrated and glowing.
Proteins: Protein is the building block of both hair and skin. Incorporate lean meats, legumes, eggs, and plant-based proteins into your meals to support hair growth and healthy skin regeneration.
Conclusion
Achieving glowing skin and healthy hair is not a result of a single product or quick fix. It’s the combination of a thoughtful skincare and hair care routine along with proper nutrition. By prioritizing self-care, being consistent, and making healthier lifestyle choices, you can glow from within. Nourish your body, take care of your healthy eating , and treat your hair with the love and attention it deserves, and you will see the difference in your skin and hair health.
