not to talk about my niche interests again but I just finished watching a recap of the Shanghai FISE BMX Park Freestyle event (first olympic/world cup event since the olympics) and it really struck me how international our sport has become. And in light of that, the exclusion and rejection of the Olympic scene in BMX from the larger BMX community takes a different tone to me. Sure, the olympic aspect of BMX was an outright hostile takeover by two corrupt international sport governing bodies which adamant refused to engage with the sport’s community or culture, resulting in large divide between national riding teams, jerseys, coaches, salaries, titanium bikes, gymnastic aerial maneuvers and the punk rock, community focused, DIY or shut up riding culture of the BMX scene as a whole. BUT I think it is concerning to think about what that rejection means to the international base that’s growing. Whether that’s the Japanese riders bringing back mid school short frames and baggy jeans or the National Chinese team with their jerseys and lightweight helmets or any of the other international talent and teams showing up in the past 10 years since BMX got it’s Olympic introduction, these are riders. These are people we should be welcoming and sharing and embracing while showing and educating what our sport and community is, regardless of the nationalist motivations of the countries and corrupt bids of international sporting bodies to stay relevant in the modern era that put these riders here. I don’t have a perfect solution as our sport becomes commercialized and refined into national jerseys and $100,000 private national olympic skate parks and government contracts with athletes telling them what they’re allowed to do within their own sport. But what I do know is that if we reject these new riders from all over the world, we’ve failed as a community and instead chose to gatekeep our culture from those we should be sharing it with.

He's a 1w9 ISFP.

1w9 - I know some interpret him as a 6w7 but I couldn't disagree more. Harry is highly motivated by doing the right thing and being a good person and is quick to sort people into 'good' and 'bad'. I think the easiest 1 vs 6 test is - if Harry had to choose between being with his friends and doing the right thing, which would he choose? I think he would choose the right thing, even if he was abandoned by everyone. He's also such an obvious gut type.

ISFP - to me, he's an obvious FiSe. His moral code is very important to him, and comes from inside him rather than any external structure (think of how he has such a clear idea of justice and fairness despite being raised by the Dursleys). He's also a very physical, focused on the world around him and observant... when it comes to his external environment.

USAF completes new round of missile tests on the F-35

The Conjugated Operational Test Team (UOTT) completed eight real missile firing tests in support of the F-35's Continuous Capacity Development and Delivery (C2D2) program.

UOTT collaborated with Navy Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 9 (VX-9) at Edwards Air Base, California; the 422º Air Force Test and Assessment Squadron at Nellis Air Base, Nevada; and the 83º Fighter Arms Squadron (FWS) at Tyndall Air Base to perform operationally realistic real-firing tests.

“This was the biggest real shooting event in UOTT history,” said Joshua Herrera, UOTT leader for the event. "I am very proud of the team and the hard work they have done in the last months leading up to the event. We look forward to deepening the data in the coming weeks."

The team employed four types of missiles, the AIM-120D, AIM-120D3, AIM-9X and AIM-9X-3, against advanced targets provided by the 83º FWS Weapon Systems Assessment Program. The tests verified the effectiveness of several new capabilities and advanced tactics and met the Congressional supervision requirements for F-35 operational testing. The team also collaborated with the Royal Australian Air Force Nº 2 Squadron, which operates the E-7A Wedgetail, to evaluate the effectiveness of advanced coalition tactics.

This event was the first time that an F-35 fired the new AIM-120D3. The AIM-120D3 features modernized hardware, compared to the AIM-120D, and is prepared to receive continuous and agile software updates in the coming years to further refine its capabilities. The missile was released from one of the VX-9's F-35C.

“MRAAM has been a basic element of the air-to-air arsenals of the United States and our allies for decades,” said LCDR Wes Holt, a VX-9 pilot. “This new AIM-120D3 had an exceptionally good performance. I am excited to see how your performance will continue to advance in the coming years with your software improvement program."

The actual firing tests were conducted with F-35 loaded with 30R08.051 software, which is the latest release of Lockheed Martin development software as part of the C2D2 program.

“UOTT has several mission effectiveness tests planned in the coming months to fully characterize the performance of the F-35,” said Lieutenant Colonel Brent Carroll, UOTT's chief operating test director. “We are also planning several additional real-fising tests to ensure that this software is robust and capable when delivered to the U.S. Air Force combat fleet.”

The world of mortals was boring so much so that he understood why his family chose to hide themselves away in Kemet. Yet seeing it now it was hell as the humans fought with creatures out of legend. However, having recently defended himself against a member of the dark order he understood the need to protect others. Walking down the street of the latest attack he played the part of diplomat while doing good. Flames carried brick to buildings which were melted in place after the beans were fised and strengthened. The building was done yet as he worked on the second he felt a power approach. Hid guard readied himself for battle while Rico continued to fix what was out of place.

Do you think the ISFP 3 combination is possible? I' sure I'm a 3w4 and used to type myself as ISTP, but after I started watching videos with groups of ISTPs discussing I had to rethink that. I couldn't relate to most of what they were saying while they clearly were on the same page, so I started to dig deeper into the judging functions. Turns out I relate way more to Fi than Fe, and since I'm sure of having Ni ISFP is a possibility. But inferior Te + 3 sounds counterproductive, so I'm not sure.

It is possible, yes, but depending through which theory you look at it. Some JCF variant and CT will consider any type combination is possible, even if some less common.

An ISFP 3 is more likely to have a fixation on Te, for sure. In CT, FiSe l--l (ll-l, l-ll) are a thing and it is meant as something normal, and not just an unhealthy manifestation of a type. JCF theories tend to adopt the notion of loops and grips, which I wouldn't say are completely false tbh, but it discards the possibility of having a healthy relation to your lower functions, which I also personally disagree with.

In any case, from the perspective where lower functions can be developed healthily, they are also not deemed as weaker than higher functions. Functions that are weaker are the ones devalued in our consciousness, and this could happen to any function, even the lead to some degree, which also cause a lot of mental distress. This means that it wouldn't be a counter productive combo. It would make you more likely become a l--l dev, which implies you would have psychologically accepted to sacrifice endless perfectionism for efficiency and practicality to some degree. It creates a much more structured, scrupulous and uptight ISFP, who is concerned to actualize in the world the Fi Idealism that they have cultivated over time. It also makes that sort of ISFP more ambiverted, so more agile into switching their attention from internal to external objects without being completely drained. (Note: I don't mean being more social here. The notion of extroversion and introversion are meant as the capacity to focus on internal or external objects; situation, issues, opportunities, etc.).

Actually, FiSe l--l and ll-l are pretty common in the celebrity world. It's not surprising knowing they often are 3 core/fix and given the requirement in that kind of environment to strive, perform and outlive it.

In the end, it is a possible combo, not unlikely or stretched, and neither dysfunctional, quite on the contrary. It depends from which theory you address it, but I do believe cognitive function manifest in more flexible way than the classic hierarchy with linear development. It's up to you to see if it helps you understand yourself better and so, if it can make sense in how you conceive typology.

“Any man dreaming of god deserves to be sent to him, hm?”  lord orochimaru pressed their delicate sandal against a dead girl’s cheek, running their eyes over her long black hair, her full cheeks, the maggots creeping from her fever-stretched mouth. “With all the other delusions. If the gods exist, I will kill them.”

kimimaro chewed his bottom lip, wrinkling his nose against the labored droning of horseflies. “I think. . .” lord orochimaru had looked sharply at him then, and it had taken kimimaro a moment to realize he had squeezed their hand hard enough for his wrist bones to break skin brush against their palm. still, he could not look away from their burning eyes — so like gold coins, or scorched suns, or divinity. “. . . I think that is what a god would say.” orochimaru had stared at him for a long unblinking moment before a smile eclipsed across their lips. 

“Come along, Kimimaro-kun. Night will not wait for us.”

kimimaro knew in that moment that he was right: here before him stood god sheathed in snake’s skin, and it was his duty to love them in beauty and in horror.

iii.

for nine years, his was the path of the righteous man. where he walked, no doubtful weed could take root. where he lay his head, no dark dreams troubled dared trouble him. he basked unflinching in the violent brilliance of divine radiance, and he learned that a god hungers only for knowledge. the oldest fruit still proved ripest.

for nine years, kimimaro believed he knew the true face of god. 

their hair was a river of his black blood. their eyes, midnight suns. their beauty was as elegant as the finest blade, and they knew him by his name. he questioned nothing. it was not the role of the devout to spit in god’s face.

it was only after his near-death that the truth had been revealed to him. 

orochimaru was no god. they were terribly mortal, and their destruction was neither wanton nor ecstatic like the elders had foretold; they were cold-blooded and conniving where god was supposed to be hot-blooded and manic. the righteousness in him fermented over night. a false god. his purpose was a lie. his world folded like cards.

he dragged himself into the woods to die.

but of course he couldn’t get that right, either.

iv.

this is the part of his life he remembers little of: the wandering. the world is a smear of water colors. he weeps exactly three times over three years, and the weight of it nearly kills him. he’s dying, slowly. another thing he can’t do right. 

and then, at his loneliest, he meets jūgo again; and it’s funny, really, because arguably jūgo is kimimaro’s greatest failure.

of course it is jūgo who saves him. he falls in love with him. of course: it’s the fairytale formula.

except there is a monster living inside jūgo with eyes like violence and a mouth dripping with blood, and when jūgo takes his hand kimimaro swells with pride, but when yajuu surfaces to wear jūgo like sheep’s skin, kimimaro’s skin waxes hot, wanes cold, and every nerve ending roils and sparks like a festival night sky.

kimimaro falls in love with the monster.

of course. of course. of course.

v.

tonight kimimaro wanders through the woods, indifferent to the bite of mountain air. he moves through the trees like a breeze, following the spattering of innards and sweetmeats left in yajuu’s wake. he keeps his distance today, allowing yajuu to have their fun hunting. the cold cramps his right hand, and his knuckles split the skin just for the comfort of a familiar ache. for all the havoc it’s wrought on him, he doesn’t pay much attention to the pains of the body when there is so much to wonder about. he thinks about god and if she can hear him and if so, what does she want? he thinks about the moon and how if he raises his hand at just the right angle he can grasp it, and he thinks about how he does not know if that means anything, but it feels like it should. he thinks about insects and meat and rot and bile and—

a roar reverberates through the trees. kimimaro steps out of the copse and into a clearing, and there is yajuu.

yajuu’s hulking mass crowds a bear’s carcass, large hands that can crush boulders reaching into the sneer torn into the bear’s belly and wrenching out fistfuls of offal, viscera, sweetwet. the bear is still dying: its eyes roll sluggishly in its massive head, the droop of its eyelids matching the outpouring of its blood ( ecstasy; this is what it must look like, yes? ) and as kimimaro approaches he makes eye contact with it and holds its gaze as the lights go out. he lays a hand on its head and runs his hands through its thick brown fur, sinking his fingers into the warmth as he watches yajuu give worship to something much bigger than anything kimimaro has prayed to. yajuu notices him, and leers.

“Y’know, the first step of any murder is to have fun and be yourself,” yajuu snickers. kimimaro can feel the electricity spiking down his spine, can taste his heartbeat in his own throat.

covered in sweat and blood, their laughter wicked and dark as they spread the bear’s remains across the grass — it dredges up forgotten memories of his time imprisoned by his clan. little flashes of dancing and howling and screams around fire pits and human prisoners begging for release, and the crazed smiles on the kaguya’s faces as they nodded sympathetically and promised to release them with the edge of a knife as soon as their god had heard them.

but yajuu — yajuu is different. yajuu worships chaos without knowing they are its greatest disciple. they are not god, but they are something that would brush against her ankles; kimimaro’s sure of it. 

and yajuu chooses to follow him. him. he does not follow the thought to its logical conclusion. he can’t.

instead, he touches his throat. brushes the warm skin there and thinks about the hot press of large fingers crushing down around it as he prays. kimimaro loves jūgo, but what he feels for yajuu is something a hundred times darker.

This furious love will choke me, he thinks, and the hopeless excitement of it all echoes through every inch of him. It will break me. And in breaking, I shall be made whole.

“Come, Yajuu, flesh of my flesh and bone of my bone,” he says instead, seafoam green eyes whipping themselves into summer storms as they fix on the ring of blood around yajuu’s mouth burning with cold heat. “Let us play a different game.”

Hi, just saw your mbti headcanon. Can you explain why? I'm kinda curious with the reasons. What do you think Leona's type is?

Hello! Leona hmm. I’m afraid I haven’t read much of Leona to really make a near-accurate explanation. But he seems like an unhealthy entj. This shows in chapter 2 when he would go as far as hurting other teams to win. He’s known to have potential, but is “lazy”. 

I’d love to be able to talk about twst and mbti, so feel free to discuss. :)

Vil: isfp (FiSe)- he is deeply involved in the process of his craft (makes his cosmetics, etc). Self expression, lives in the moment, chasing fashion trends and keeping himself beautiful. Also, despite being seen as somewhat narcissistic sometimes, Vil also admires self-development, and helps people in that respect (like fixing jack’s clothes, etc.)

BUT we haven’t seen more of Vil yet, so this could change, because initially, I saw him as an enfj. I hope chapter 5 can give clarity to his actions.

Rook: enfp (NeFi) I’m still not sure about Rook yet, but he could actually be a Se dom.- so much enthusiasm when he’s interested in something/someone, asks unconventional conversation questions. Has a penchant for arts and the flair for the dramatic.

Azul: entj (TeNi)- business-minded, gets things he plans to do done well, probably wants to take over the world. likes fancy stuff!! appreciates people’s good work and skills (and knows how to use them to his advantage).

Floyd: esfp (SeFi)-hyperactive, dives in head first, friendly, unpredictable

Jade: entp (NeTi)- i mean, he says he hates “pre-established harmony.” Likes to stir things up for fun, likes to watch people’s reactions.

Idia: istp (TiSe)- likes machines and picks them apart, can get competitive, avoids people on purpose because he doesn’t know how to act around others.

Kalim: estp (SeTi)- impulsive (keeps inviting people to join him out of the blue, and very persuasive at that), friendly, grand schemes (like parades and etc), very generous and tolerant.

Everyone has something to hide. Hidden behind carefully raised walls, very few get to see the entire truth to one's being.
