!!!ITS FINALLY HAPPENING!!!! 2 years in the making and it's finally here! My first Masterclass will be held at @thesomaticcenter on March 3rd next Sunday from 3-4:30!!! Dance family if you can come please come!! And if not please share this around to let people know about this ANYWAY YOU CAN!! as I really want my first class to be a great turnout!! So if you can all support in anyway it's appreciated! Excited to expand the lands artists vocabulary and showcase a different side to our dance scene here in Cleveland!! This particular class will be moreso Vouge than waacking as given another chance to teach I'll focus on waacking moreso then Vouge another time as I don't want to add to the further confusion of the two styles that already exists so I'll focus on one style at a time! 😁 Be prepared to step out your comfort zones and expand on what you CAN do vs what you might currently be doing.. and above all else be ready to be FREE!! and FEEL THE FANTASY! If you all have any questions about the Masterclass feel free to reach out to me in anyway! Hope to see you all their next week! 💕💕❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏 #cleveland #clevelandohio #ohio #clevelanddancers #clevelandartist #supporting #vouge #supportfellowartists #vougeclass #supportartists #firsttimeteacher #waackingclass #waacking #waackingtutorial #firsttimeteaching #firstmasterclass #masterclass #teacher #excited #ohio (at Cleveland, Ohio) https://www.instagram.com/p/BuPfCdTgKTF/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=trpd8zzfffxu

Hey friends! I’ve got something fantastic to announce. On October 20th (Saturday) I’ll be at @antlersandastronauts teaching a class. Together we’ll be creating individual, unique works celebrating the season of Autumn by collaging magazine clippings and deconstructed paintings. We’ll also be painting onto our works with acrylic and gouache paint. All skills are invited to sign up. Since it’s my first class I’ve limited it to six people so hurry and sign up for the class on my site in the shop section. I’m looking forward to sharing this new experience with y’all and meeting you as well in person! 🎨 . • #artbyangietherose #angietherose #southernartist #womanartist #abstractexpressionism #vsco #madeinnc #greensborooartist #ncartist #scienceinthearts #southernart #abstractexpressionism #artistsof205collaborative #studioporn #sogso #artclass #firsttimeteacher #letsbebold #boldhues (at Greensboro, North Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/BoZbF9IDF99/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=11bnmge83pjwj

That moment when this actually happens during your class...
Seriously, how was I supposed to react to that?!

Accidental profession
I'm not really good at opening. So, I'll just jump right in.
Ok. So to this day I'm a teacher in a private high school. AT FIRST, I was a staff in this school foundation for about 5/6 months. Then, my boss ask me would you like to be a teacher. Well, she kind of forced me to be. She keep asking me continuously. And I keep saying no I wouldn't, and I can't. Because I think that I'm not capable of being a teacher. I see a teacher as a person to be looked up to, and I can't be that person.
My high school teacher once tell her story how she end up being a teacher. She hated being teacher, and keep saying that I will never be a teacher. But, I think life slap her in the face, and now she's a teacher. She said, never in your life, cursing what you don't want to be, because you might end up being one. I believe that. So I never said how much I don't want to be a teacher, because I'm afraid that I'll be one. (You can imagine how much I don't want to be a teacher, thereby I didn't dare to say it. Saying how much I don't want to be a teacher is like saying Voldemort name).
Short story, I end up being teacher in a new semester. I was actually replacing the previous teacher. My school can't find the replacement in time, so it's like an urgent event.
I wasn't graduated from education major. I never imagine my self become one, or even trained my self become one. I never been on training, or read anything about pedagogy. Even, I teach Sociology. The subject, although related to my major, however never deepen it. I was SO LOST. Like for real. You are free to imagine how was I the first day of teaching. In addition, I'm never being so confident to talk in public. I looks and sounds STUPID. Arghhhhhhh I even embrace to recall those memories :(.
Until now, I'm still nervous, minutes before I'm teaching. idk why. Ok that's all my story. Until we meet again, ciao!

A Few Friday Facts
I opened a French bank account. All by myself. It was surprisingly easy.
My French is at its worst first thing in the morning as well as at the end of the day. I told one vendor at the market that I didn't know where to break a 500 euro bill, when really I meant 50. He told me to go to a casino, haha.
An old French man at the market made fun of me because I asked him where I was supposed to pay for my potatoes. He pointed to his head and said there clearly wasn't much up there.
Being able to shop at an open air market right next to your house is the best. thing. ever. It really is one of the mostly wonderful things about living in France.
I bought my first piece of cheese from one of the vendors. He sliced it in front of me and everything. I tried a Gouda à la Provençal. It was perfect. I also bought a large container of homemade soup au Paysanne (country man's soup, to sort of translate it) for 3 euros.
Figuring out the bus system and how easy it is to get into the city center, as well as having my monthly transportation pass, reduces daily stress by a huge amount.
Classes that don't get out on Friday until 16h30 are too long.
The secretary at the school helped me send in all of my immigration forms, which was wonderful. Even she complained about all the necessary French paperwork.
I love my collège kids. More on that to come.
