I was looking forward to one more chance to wander about Dunedin, however Mother Nature had other ideas. Due to dense Fog we were not able to make our call in Port Chalmers today for Dunedin. Clockwise 1.) First Church of Otago (upper right). The building in decorated Gothic style, was designed in 1862 by Robert Lawson, is regarded as the most impressive of New Zealand's nineteenth-century churches. 2.) The Imperial Building sits on the corner of Dowling and High Street. The building was built in 1906 and designed by Mason and Wales. 3.) Toitū Otago Settlers Museum main wing. It is New Zealand's oldest and most extensive history museum. It is located in the heart of the city close to other prominent buildings such as the Dunedin Railway Station, some 500 metres from the city centre (The Octagon). 4.) NZ Railways Road Services Building (Former) 1939. The Bus Services building was constructed at a time when few large buildings were being erected in Dunedin and is the most important Art Deco building of its period. 35 Queens Gardens, Dunedin.
