Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Grand Total: A Record $2 Billion
By Ben Sisario
For the last 21 months, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has been the biggest thing in music — a phenomenon that has engulfed pop culture, dominated news coverage and boosted local economies around the world.
Now we know exactly how big.
Through its 149th and final show, which took place in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Sunday, Swift’s tour sold a total of $2,077,618,725 in tickets. That’s two billion and change — double the gross ticket sales of any other concert tour in history and an extraordinary new benchmark for a white-hot international concert business.
Those figures were confirmed to The New York Times for the first time by Taylor Swift Touring, the singer’s production company. While the financial details of the Eras Tour have been a subject of constant industry speculation since tickets were first offered more than two years ago — through a presale so in-demand it crashed Ticketmaster’s system — Swift has never authorized disclosure of the tour’s numbers until now.
The official results are not far from the estimates that trade journalists and industry analysts have been crunching for months. But they solidify the enormous scale of Swift’s accomplishment. Just a few months ago, Billboard magazine reported that Coldplay had set an industry record with $1 billion in ticket sales for its 156-date Music of the Spheres World Tour — a figure that is just half of Swift’s total for a similar stretch of shows in stadiums and arenas.
Every date on the Eras Tour was sold out, and spare tickets were scalped at eye-popping prices — or traded within the protective Swiftie fan community, often at face value.
According to Swift’s touring company, a total of 10,168,008 people attended the concerts, which means that, on average, each seat went for about $204. That is well above the industry average of $131 for the top 100 tours around the world in 2023, according to Pollstar, a trade publication.
The biggest single night’s attendance was in Melbourne, Australia, on Feb. 16, 2024, with 96,006. And Swift’s eight nights at Wembley Stadium in London, which she played more than any other venue, drew 753,112 people — about as many as live in Seattle.
As gigantic as they are, the figures revealed by Swift’s company are only part of the overall business that has surrounded the tour. They exclude her extraordinary merchandise sales, for example, a product line so in demand that Swift opened stadium sales booths a day early in some markets to sell T-shirts, hoodies and Christmas ornaments to fans, ticketed or not.
And they do not count the secondary market of online ticket resellers. According to StubHub, the Eras Tour was the biggest-selling tour in the platform’s two-decade history, and last year it outsold Beyoncé’s shows by a factor of five. Another ticketing company, Victory Live, said the average price for resold tickets to the Eras Tour’s three Vancouver dates was $2,952. (Swift earned nothing from resold tickets.)
Beyond its numbers, the Eras Tour has been a mega-event that elevated the already-super-famous Swift to a new level, making her an epochal symbol of cultural saturation on the level of the Beatles in the 1960s or Michael Jackson in his ’80s prime. Swift’s every onstage utterance, outfit swap or offstage sighting was thoroughly documented, on social media and in the mainstream press, with news outlets big and small rushing to capture Swifties’ clicks. Online, fans tracked every tweak to the three-hour-plus set lists.
As the story of Swift’s tour took shape, it seemed to contain its own eras within it. First, in November 2022, came the ticket fiasco, when Ticketmaster was overwhelmed by what it said were 3.5 billion online requests for tickets, many from scalpers’ bots. The furor over those problems led to a Senate Judiciary hearing in January 2023, at which lawmakers from both parties openly called Ticketmaster’s corporate parent, Live Nation, a monopoly. (This year, the Justice Department filed an antitrust suit against Live Nation, calling for a breakup of the company.)
Then came the tour and the folkways that developed around it, like fans trading hand-assembled friendship bracelets. After the tour’s stop in Kansas City, Mo., a public flirtation between Swift and Travis Kelce, the star tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs, developed into a full-on romance, with the pop star and the football hunk sharing a field-level smooch after the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl LVIII in February. The photographers definitely did not miss it.
In October 2023, she released “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” a nearly three-hour concert film, released through a direct distribution deal with AMC Entertainment, the world’s largest theater operator. It sold about $93 million in tickets during its opening weekend, and ended up with $261 million in worldwide grosses, according to Box Office Mojo. The next step was a streaming deal with Disney+. A 256-page hardcover tour book, released last month through Target stores, sold 814,000 print copies in its first two days on sale.
As the tour moved to Europe in 2024, it narrowly avoided what could have been a major catastrophe when a terrorist bomb plot was uncovered before three planned shows in Vienna. Those events were canceled and never rescheduled.
Although Swift has largely avoided the news media during the tour, over time she has pulled back the curtain a bit to reveal some of how it came together. To prepare herself for the physical demands of the show, she trained for six months, with a cardio regimen that included singing the entire set list while running on a treadmill, she told Time magazine.
“I knew this tour was harder than anything I’d ever done before by a long shot,” the magazine quoted her as saying. “I finally, for the very first time, physically prepared correctly.”
The music video for “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” from her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department” — her third release over the course of the tour, including two rerecorded versions of older albums — has behind-the-scenes clips confirming some of the stagecraft mechanics that fans have carefully cataloged on social media, like how she “dives” each night through a “hole” in the stage (onto a soft cushion held by crew members) and how she is ferried backstage in a dummy janitor’s cart.
The tour concludes just as Swift celebrates yet another win: “Tortured Poets” has returned to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart for a 16th week, with help from vinyl and CD sales of the 35-track “Anthology” edition of the album, which Swift released on Black Friday, also through Target. “Tortured Poets” is by far the biggest-selling album of the year so far.
Swift is up for six awards at the Grammys in February, including album of the year for “Tortured Poets” and both record and song of the year for one of its singles, “Fortnight.”
At a recent tour stop in Toronto, as the tour neared its end, Swift teared up as she delivered valedictory remarks to fans.
“My band, my crew, all my fellow performers,” she said, “we have put so much of our lives into this, and you put so much of your lives into being with us tonight and to giving us that moment that we will never forget.”

Omg can u do a one shot where reader goes to the eras tour with Gojo??
miss americana and the heartbreak prince
satoru gojo x f!reader
an: this didn't mesh well as a one shot when I wrote it, so i hope this mix of blurbs and headcanons is ok <3 also, this is for a very specific audience, feel free to ignore on your dash!!!
--
satoru gojo, in his infinite knowledge and wisdom, is first exposed to the eras tour when you ask him to sign up for a presale code
“wait, so. you just want me to sign up for all the dates?” satoru asks, voice echoing through your phone speaker.  “yes, make sure that you verify your ticketmaster account and everything now. and then when you do that, send me a picture so i can make sure you did it right.” you respond.  “it’s not rocket science, babe. i’m sure i can figure out how to do it.” satoru grumbles, as you hear typing on the other end of the line.  “just take the picture when you’re done.”  “was this that important that you had to call me while I was at work?”  “babe. this is taylor swift. of course it was.”  “right.”
the fated day of buying tickets come and you and satoru are literally hiding from your bosses in the corner of your office - laptops pulled up and anxiously watching the queue
you're both nervously watching the numbers get smaller and smaller, nervous hands open on a twitter tab that's talking about people getting kicked out of the line, locked out, or being told that the tickets are already all gone
but by the grace of god, satoru's laptop goes through first and he manages to bag the two of you floor tickets and you're in
you climb into bed, pushing the hair off of satoru’s head to give him a kiss on the forehead, before you tuck yourself into the sheets and nestle into his arms.  “sweetheart.”  “hm?”  “can i ask you a question? you don’t have to say yes.” he asks, voice all uncharacteristically shy.  you prop yourself up on his bare chest, trying to discern the look on his face in the dark, as you nod.  “can i go to the concert with you?”  and when you see the little frowny face he has on, you can’t help but laugh at the entire ordeal, at the satoru gojo begging you to take him to a taylor swift concert. and when you start laughing, he starts grumbling, turning his surely pink face away from you.  “shut up.”  “oh my god, toru. you’re so cute, you know that?”  “i’m glad my misery is adorable to you.”  “I’d love if you would come to the concert with me. on one condition.”  “what’s that?”  “you have to learn all the lore and listen to the songs before we go. i’m not about to be that girl standing next to the guy who doesn’t know the surprise songs on the floor.”  “okay. what’s a surprise song?”  you press your fingers against his lips and place a kiss on his cheek.  “all in good time.”
you make a game plan for satoru, color coded and planned out, for him to learn everything you want him to know
you break it down for him era by era, asking him to first listen to the album and send you his reviews - and then explaining important key details that he would need to know
and it evolves so fast, because he gets more and more excited as he goes on, texting you his thoughts at work
he just needs a reason to not do work, but he gets REALLY REALLY INTO IT
satoru: YOU’RE GAY.  you: no? i don’t think so satoru: i’m singing picture to burn babe, be quiet satoru: if the way i loved you is country music, slap a flannel and a cowboy hat on me because i am FLOORED. SHINING LIKE FIREWORKS OVER YOUR SAD EMPTY TOWN??? JOHN, JOHN WHEN I CATCH YOU  satoru: babe if you ever break up with me ill go sleep on the highway  you: ok?? I wasn’t planning on it satoru: do not EVER give me a reason to relate to last kiss i will actually do something dangerous  you: why did shoko just send me a picture of you with your head down on your desk at work?  satoru: babe please don’t talk to me rn. i just listened to all too well and i am inconsolable.  you: wait till you watch the short film.  satoru: PLEASE I CAN’T HANDLE THIS. JAKE GYLLENHAL ALEX THE LION FROM MADAGASCAR WHEN I GET YOU.  you: ok satoru. pipe down.  satoru: ARE WE OUT OF THE WOODS YET ARE WE OUT OF THE WOODS YET ARE WE OUT OF THE WOODS YET  you: i feel like im creating a monster.  satoru: I WANT YOU FOR WORSE OR FOR BETTER BROKE YOUR HEART ILL PUT IT BACK TOGETHER satoru: just finished reputation. many thoughts  you: oh???  satoru: one. can we get frisky to dress? two. I am buying you a necklace with my initial on it. three. king of my heart is my favorite song so far. four. CAN WE GET FRISKY TO DRESS. five. kanye west, when I get you. you: satoru. you are at work. please focus.  satoru: i know that’s a yes.  satoru: just listened to lover. I am inconsolable and i love this white woman. DAYLIGHT??? THAT’S SO ME AND YOU. LOVER??? THAT’S SO ME AND YOU. PAPER RINGS??? ME AND YOU.  you: do not take paper rings as an excuse to not buy me a real ring. I am expecting a nice six pronged gold band circular cut diamond.  satoru: also can we get frisky to false god.  you: satoru gojo.  satoru: babe. urgent. 911.  you: what.  satoru: am i augustine or am i betty??  you: you’re inez. nosy gossiping ass bitch.  satoru: EXCUSE ME. also invisible string is so us. joe alwyn, YOU WILL ALWAYS BE FAMOUS.  you: well. satoru: is she ok. like seriously, is taylor ok??? if she has happily been in a relationship for six years why did she write tolerate it? doesn’t she know my mental health is fragile?  you: why tf are YOU crying about tolerate it? we’ve been in a stable relationship for four years satoru: i was imaging you being mean to me. it really hurt my feelings  you: ok.  satoru: long story short, the masterpiece that you are. JOE AND TAYLOR YOU WILL ALWAYS BE FAMOUS.  satoru: what is their name combined  you: toe.  satoru: ok… satoru: MEET ME AT MIDNIGHT you: oh god. you’re at the end. let’s hear it.  satoru: one. can we get frisky to maroon? two. you’re on your own kid changed my life. three. sweet nothing is us. four. can we get frisky to maroon. five. john mayer i will KILL YOU. six. also is like scooter braun a crack head or something like what is vigilante shit even about  satoru: babe. satoru: no.  satoru: YOU’RE LOSING ME???? JOE???? JOE ALWYN MY BROTHER JOE ALWYN???? NO.  you: yes.  satoru: Y/N. HE WON’T MARRY HER?????? IM GOING TO KILL HIM. THE GUY WHO LOVER IS ABOUT??? WHO MASTERMIND SWEET NOTHING INVISIBLE STRING IS ABOUT???  satoru: do not talk to me. I hate you.  you: WHAT DID I DO
satoru gets more and more excited about the entire thing as it goes on, telling YOU that you need to start planning outfits and making bracelets like you weren't the one who got him into this
satoru cannot make friendship bracelets. but he likes watching you make them and asking you all the little things you like about the music
“ok. what do i make the next one?”  “hm. did you do style yet?”  “no.”  you start collecting all the beads as satoru props his phone up against the table, to the live stream of the concert. every night, the two of you watch the surprise songs together and make a note of which ones you lose from your drafted list of picks - a mix of yours and satoru’s favorite songs that aren’t on the setlist.  “open.”  satoru holds the spoon of noodles right over your lips as you focus on finishing the bracelet, his eyes focused on the live stream.  “satoru.”  “hm?”  “can i ask a weird question?”  “sure.”  “you seem like you’re like really into this. like actually.”  “well, i am. this is serious - i cannot lose clean for a second time or i will break something.”  “not that. I just mean, the entire thing. like the songs and the music and all that. you…are really into it.”  “well, why wouldn’t i be? it’s something you like. and it clearly means a lot to you, so it does to me too.”  you can feel your cheeks burning at how blunt he is about the entire thing, like it’s something so obvious, like him putting in all this effort to like something you do is a given. you lean forward and press a kiss to his cheek, which he smiles at before focusing back on the live stream.  “BABE. NO.”  “OH MY GOD." “ITS CLEAN.” “TORU HOW DID WE LOSE A SONG TWICE.”
satoru decides that the two of you are going to go as miss americana and the heartbreak prince - and watches you meticulously collect fabrics and threads to make the pink dress you had in mind
you made it a point to also sew on the little broken heart for satoru's light pink shirt and white slacks that he was going to wear to the concert and buy the two of you matching gold crowns to wear together
“something is missing from my outfit, y/n.”   you frown, looking over at him as he fixes the little gold crown you got him on his white hair.  “what are you talking about? you look fine.”  satoru digs through your makeup box, rummaging around till he pulls out a tube of your red lipstick.  “you want to wear it, toru?”  “what? no. you put it on and then plant a bunch of kisses on my cheeks. so it leaves a mark.”  “oh?”  “IT’LL LOOK BETTER THAT WAY. I SAW SOMEONE ON TIK TOK DO IT.”  you roll your eyes as you lean forward in the mirror, blotting the buttery product on your lips and ignoring the devilish smile that satoru’s giving you in the mirror. and then you turn around and cup his face in your hands, making it a point to pepper long kisses on his cheeks and the side of his neck, making sure the full mark of your lips is left on his skin.  and when you’re done, he turns in the mirror and gives you a satisfied smile.  “perfect.”  “you’re so lame, satoru. if you wanted me to kiss you, you should have just asked.”  “can i have a kiss?”  “no.”  he leans forward and wraps his arms around your waist, it being his turn to smother you in kisses, eliciting a laugh from you when his breath tickles your neck.  “shut up.”
type of mf to take BILLIONS OF PICTURES of you outside the concert and even more with you, until you both get ones you like
also, totally wears a stack of friendship bracelets that you made together, but only trades with other boyfriends and dads in solidarity
man stands for the entire concert with you, except during the man. because he knows his place.
you start SOBBING during lover and he's there just smiling at how SILLY you are and wiping your little tears away. you both sway to the song together and scream the bridge together.
he takes a picture of you doing the fearless heart with taylor in the back. bc duh.
speaking of, this dude is NOT recording taylor AT ALL he is recording you and taking pictures of you and it's literally the most wholesome thing ever
like you're just so excited and jumpy that he thinks its cute and he wants to document it
but then he's so inconsolable during tis the damn season and tolerate it that he's SCREAMING THE LYRICS with the passion of ten suns (he is an evermore stan, fight with the wall)
takes a video of you singing during enchanted (which he later makes his lockscreen)
fighting for his life during all too well. like everyone else.
your surprise songs are dear john and daylight - which you're both screaming together on the floor.
satoru is giving YOU the side eye when you scream DATE ME TAYLOR during vigilante shit chair moment.
mister man is blushing when you point at him when taylor sings karma is my boyfriend
carries you out of the concert bc he knows your feet are killing you.
and feeds you after. bc duh. post concert munchies at a fast food drive thru.

I really don’t understand how Zayn fans are saying only the long term fans should buy tickets. I saw this happening with Niall and Louis too. I’m all for everyone having their own opinion but to call someone out for not being a fan long enough is just bizarre to me.
Hello anon, and welcome to the show!
soooooo this is a tricky one. we see it with pretty much any super famous and well loved high profile artist/band, most recently, with Oasis.
while oasis’s fanbase is a totally different demographic to one direction and their solo careers, there has been MASSIVE arguments about who deserves tickets, if you’re a “real fan” or over the age of ___ you should get first access etc etc., and it’s a very frustrating debate.
I couldn’t give less of a fuck about oasis btw lol (sorry louis), so I’m not deep into whatever is happening there, but that’s the gist of what I’ve seen. but listen… the thing is is that the demand is extremely high and they unfortunately can’t play to absolutely everybody who wants a ticket. more frustratingly, the prices of tickets are now through the roof, so a lot of fans can’t even see their fave artist even with a ticket at the very back of the venue. it’s disgusting and live music should not be a luxury, but I digress
Personally, I can empathise with the folks who feel this way. I’m not saying that new fans don’t deserve tickets, or that they shouldn’t buy tickets, but I think the frustration runs far deeper than that for these folks, and that’s not the newer fans’ fault. It’s the ticket buying system, and Artist loyalty.
Ticketmaster is proper broken these days too hahahaha. The dynamic pricing (anon who messaged me about this I am getting to you promise xx) model, the website not handling copious amounts of traffic which they should be expecting, multiple onsales at the same time for a million different shows, the number system, etc…. It’s just all a bit yucky, and it’s frustrating fans to no end. Just have a look at all the TS stuff that happened with the Eras tour. Fans were purchasing tickets and then lost them immediately, got kicked out before the timer finished, tickets flew out the door, so many were bought by scalpers because of the high demand, some people were in line on that website for 3 hours before it finally let them in and said that there were tickets still available, but when they went to pay, the tickets disappeared. It’s crazy.
And so ticketing try to break this up into timezones, presales, etc. but it’s still too much to handle and not enough tickets. And it comes down to how much the artist wants to perform, venue bookings, profit, exclusivity, scheduling and it’s very frustrating and unfair that only some folks get tickets, but it is the way it is. But I still hold Ticketmaster/ticketek/all ticketing platforms to up their damn game because it’s bullshit lol
Anyway, so that’s already a hurdle of going and seeing your fave artist. So you’re already not guaranteed a ticket due to how many people want to go, and then that frustration morphs and it’s like well… I should be guaranteed a ticket because I’ve been here for years and I’ve grown up with this band/they’ve meant everything to me/this is finally my chance to see them/ive followed them for 15 years or whatever, and then that brings in an emotional side to it that just exacerbates the frustration of the availability vs demand.
On top of that, when it comes to 1d, they went on “hiatus” like 9 years ago, and they’re all doing solo stuff. 3/5 are doing successful world tours, liam hasn’t dropped any new music/marketing/a plan to tour in ages, and zayn is finally comfortable enough to be back. It’s amazing! I’m sooooooo happy for him. But it’s a very tiny tour, and he hasn’t toured in an extremely long time, and there were a hell of a lot of zayn girlies in the 1d days. So it’s the loyalty, of being a fan from the 1d days, throughout the hiatus, following all of their solo careers afterwards and still being an active part of the fandom, can feel like you deserve this more than others because you’ve been here the whole time. And no one deserves to see live music more than other people. I’m a massive believer that it should be accessible to everyone. But when we talk about “real fans” or not, it’s so much more of a larger problem than just who has been a fan for longer. It’s all of the above, and venue sizes/avails, and finances etc.
It’s a bit different with Harry because he did a million stadiums, so way more people had way more chances to get tickets… the demand was high, but there was a lot more availability. Louis, niall, and zayn have been and are doing theatre and arena shows, which are not as often consecutively in the same city as harry’s, and so the fear of missing out on tickets just runs all that deeper.
You can’t verify a “real fan” though. Like… how would you do a “real fan” presale? A buzzfeed quiz on how many songs you can name? A photo of all your merch? Tweets from when you were 13 about that artist? Nope. Doesn’t work like that, which just layers on that exasperation. Buying tickets has now become hard work.
And everyone wants to see their favourite artist, but if you’ve been waiting 15 years as opposed to 2, you can understand the frustration with the system. It’s a similar thing as the argument on 18+ shows for 1d’s reunion (which I am for btw) - not ALL shows will be 18+, there will be obviously AA shows in those same cities as well. That’d be the deal, and that’s how they’d run it. And it’s not trying to be a “cooler” show, even though I think those boys would jump at the chance to only play to 18+ and make it NOT a family show bc they’re disgusting lol, but it’s a good way to divvy up the tickets. And there are fans that are over 18 who have only liked 1d/solos for 2 months, and they could get a ticket. But the point is that there is room for people who grew up with them to have a chance.
It’s unfortunate that people feel this way though, because we shouldn’t be taking it out on each other and deciding who should be able to support our fave artist/band, it should be good vibes and everyone should be able to see them. But when you’ve been around for almost 14/15 years reblogging photos and actively taking part in a fandom, it’s understandable to feel like you deserve a ticket.
I don’t condone any of these feelings to then become attacks towards newer or younger fans though, mind you. I think it’s awful to start making people feel like shit that they haven’t been a fan long enough, and that’s very yucky. You shouldn’t feel like you’re not worthy to be in a fandom or go to a concert just because you’ve not been around as long, ever. That’s not cool. We’re all here enjoying ourselves as a team, supporting people who make us happy. Everyone who’s a fan, is a real fan.
So yeah. This is quite a ramble but I hope it may have helped unravel a bit as to why people are expressing these feelings, and why they have them. And we can talk about all different ways to make ticketing easier, like the ballot system, 18+/AA, more shows, multiple ticketing platforms etc. but at the end of the day, this is what we’re dealing with and people are annoyed af at the whole thing.
thanks for coming xx

hey i see you to go a lot of shows (not a complaint ofc) and was wondering if you have any tips or tricks on how to secure tickets? i always end up failing and having to spend a billion dollars on resale every time i go to a show lol
yes i do! it's very complicated process so i'll explain as much as i can but if anyone has follow up questions i'll be happy to clarify.
one small disclaimer: i've only ever bought tickets in the US, so all this information pertains to shows in the US through US buyers, so if you're outside of the US i dont really know much about the systems to offer any help.
okay so! my first tips can be done in advance to gain knowledge and be prepared.
follow all your favorite artists on social media - this is to be made aware of announcements as soon as possible! it also lets you know of when to start saving up some money, because we know the normal schedule of how the rollout works, they announce a single, an album and then a tour (usually) and the presale for tours usually happen a week after the announcement- so very little time to save up. the second they announce a single or start teasing something is when i make the assumption that a tour announcement will follow shortly.
follow these update accounts - i follow concertleaks on twitter and they basically post a bunch of news the second it's announced. i know i said to follow your favorite artists, but sometimes some artists slip through the cracks or you just forget, this account has alerted me to so many artists i love (but forgot to follow) going on tour. i have alerts for this account turned on so i see the announcements immediately.
follow your fav local venues - either on social media or through email, they can send you updates of who's performing there once it's announced. i literally just did this and found out a band that made one of my favorite albums ever is doing an anniversary tour and performing that whole album live for the first time and got tickets!
have multiple ticketmaster accounts - ticketmaster is the monster that plagues the nation. however there are some ways to trick it. one of the ways is to have multiple accounts. i personally have 3, but with every account you'll need a unique/individual email and phone number. now email is easy, you can make as many emails as you want, but phone numbers get more tricky. i have 1 under my phone number, 1 under my moms and one under my brothers bc i know i can trust them to send me codes (the one ticketmaster sends you during the buying process) when they happen. so if there's anyone in your life that will let you use their phone number and can text you codes when necessary- make an extra account under that phone number. let's say you can make 2 accounts, this way you can use 2 different accounts during 1 presale and double your chances of getting through the queue earlier and getting tickets.
make sure your payment info is all set up beforehand - just makes things move quicker, make sure you have your credit card set up in ticketmaster so you're not sitting in checkout having to type everything. i also just have my card by me irl just in case lol.
that's all stuff that can be done beforehand. now for the actual buying process.
there's basically 2 categories in my mind of buying tickets. smaller artists and bigger artists. small artists are obviously a lot easier for many reasons. one is less competition and pressure in the actual buying process, but a lot of smaller artists dont only use ticketmaster. they use apps like AXS or go directly with the venues website. this one doesnt need much input outside of the steps we went over to be done beforehand. bigger artists is where it gets more rough.
it's presale day, dooms day, the big game. depending on the sale of the artist, i asses how hard im gonna have to go. for example- beyonce or taylor tickets require all hands on deck, i used all 3 of my accounts on ticketmaster, but i recently got lucy dacus tickets and i knew it wasnt gonna be as big of a war zone so i only used 1. when using more than 1 account, you cannot be logged into them all on the same device, ticketmaster will throw a fit and log you out bc it thinks you're a bot (like they care about bots anyways-), so if im doing all 3 i'll have 1 account logged into on my desktop, then another account on my phone, and another on my ipad.
i like to log on about 30 minutes before the sale. i get on ticketmaster, make sure my payment info is still all set up and the right card is set to the default, im in the right account (and if im using multiple, check that none of them are the same so im not in the same account on 2 devices) and then i search for the artists, find the show im planning on going to, and wait in the waiting room. i try to close all my other tabs so my computer is smoothly operating. i also have whatever presale code given to me typed up in a different window, so i can copy and paste it in, saves about 5 seconds and i can get in quicker.
about 10 minutes before the presale starts you get invited to go into the waiting room, i go in asap, make sure all my devices are also in the waiting room. and once you're let into the queue you just pay attention to which one is moving the fastest/closes to the front of the line. once you get into the buying process, past your code and this is where luck comes in. i just start hovering over and find the tickets in my price range (which is something you should also know beforehand). the second i click on what i need i RUN out and pay.
this was so much lol, but hopefully it helped!

hi!! this is maybe a silly question but ive never gone to a bts/kpop concert and i really want to go to hoseok’s but i don’t fully understand the weverse presale stuff. do you know if you have to pay for army membership on weverse in order to do the presale? i’m assuming tickets will run out then and wonder if any will even be available for gen admission sale
i just wanted to ask bc this is my first time doing this and dk what to expect 😭
i havent done this since the map of the soul tour (💔) so i dont know if im the best source but i assume they will release a ticketing guide for the other shows so you can double check with that when it comes,, but from what i understand from the seoul ticketing guide to get priority access u have to do the following:
buy an army membership through the weverse shop (see below). idk why they are specific to country but theres a us, japan, and global version.
pre-verify with the ticketing company to confirm your early reservation spot using info you get from your membership. for the seoul show its interpark, for the us shows its ticketmaster, im not 100% sure on the others
get tickets during the early reservation period through some sort of link/code they provide u through ur account/email

24th Birthday Special: Advice from a Concert Connoisseur
I wanted to post something in commemoration for my birthday (Aug 3) and why not talk about my personal takes on what you can do to enjoy your future concert experiences! Of course, everyone will approach concerts differently, so this is obviously a list particular and true to me, but could possibly have information that can enlighten others to try the next time they go to a concert. Although I've been to other concerts of varying genres, this listen will cover mainly how kpop tours go and what to expect.
1) Venue and Ticketing Information
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[THE BOYZ - 2024 ZENERATION / ATEEZ - 2019 THE EXPEDITION, both locations in Atlanta, GA]
First things first: collect all information and details about the tour and the concert itself. Depending on which touring/production companies are in charge of the tour, information such as venues, dates and cities, as well as pricing for tickets and merchandise will be more transparent and quickly distributed for the general interest group to prepare their finances and whatever accommodations they'll need if they plan on traveling. I would keep an eye out for the following:
Tour Name along with cities/countries: since companies use "world tour" as a marketing tactic, it's rarely considered a world tour by definition as many artists only touchdown in so many areas of the world within that span of time their tour goes for
The year and tour dates: most tours are announced months to even a year ahead of time, so be aware of when those announcements drop and establish the amount of time you have until that particular date arrives. This can be in a span of a few weeks to a span of a few months, which is highly dependent on the artist's current schedule (comebacks, festivals/major events, touring other parts of the world outside of where you reside, hiatuses, etc)
Who the touring/production company is: from experience, pay attention and do your own research in how that particular company conducts their tours. Some companies are well established and have years of experience in elevating the quality of their concerts, others are truthfully underprepared or unorganized, a few are actually scammers based on how they handle on site VIP tier perks/experiences. I would check Twitter for this type of information, especially if people have compiled their experiences through threads
Who is the ticket distributor: some production companies sell their tickets directly, others such as Ticketmaster or AXS are in charge of distributing those tickets. This is important for having access to your ticket information, venue seating charts, VIP tier list and perks
What is the venue and where is it located: some venues are placed in the heart of the major cities, which all have their own unique regulations and expectations (bag policies, parking, fanmade signs/posters, etc) Locating the venue will also help you narrow down housing accommodations a mode of transportation as some cities are more walkable than others
What are the different tiers/perks: each tour is conducted differently, so make sure you take the time to read what all the perks/benefits will be before deciding on purchasing your ticket! These benefits can include: hi-touch, send off, soundcheck, group photos, selfie opportunities, line up priority, etc! Depending on the size of the venue, these perks will differ in what's available with the prices reflecting so.
What time does ticket sales begin: because of time zones, pay attention to when ticket sales begin, as they will differ from presale (with codes if you've been a frequent attendee for that particular group/touring company, or membership benefits from the group itself), VIP, and general sale
2) Tiers and Seating Preferences
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[VERIVERY - 2024 GO ON FAN MEETING / TWICE - 2023 Ready to Be, both in Atlanta, GA]
Depending on the venue size, there will be various ways to view the concert: in the pit/standing area, seated, or leveled/nosebleeds. Although I've had my fair share of purchasing VIP and being able to be closer to the stage, my preferences over the years have shifted, prioritizing my view of the stage versus how close I am to the stage.
This has heavily impacted my overall experience, as I'm someone who doesn't feel the need to record every single moment I'm there, lessening my pressure of wanting to capture the "perfect" moments and allow myself to enjoy the concert in its entirety. I also believe that there will always be videos and photos from other users online, so I use them as my way of archiving those memories
Of course we know what the pros would be in getting a higher tier ticket, but my cons are more important to me: standing/pit will give you an obscure view of the stage due to people (most likely) being in front of you, and how high they all plan on holding their phones up to record. Some fans will also hold up objects (fans, posters/signs, etc), which depending on where you're viewing the stage, that can also be distracting
My favorite areas to stand/sit now are usually centered and towards the back of the pit (near or behind the sound booth) or central seating sections
3) Experience the Concert
Tumblr media
As I've been going to concerts, my first one being BTS's Highlight Tour back in 2015 (iykyk...), my approach to concerts have evolved over time:
Bring earplugs! These speakers and crowds can becoming extremely loud and over time with continuous exposure without proper protection, it will affect your hearing long term. I use Loop Earplugs (found on their website or Amazon) and I can still hear the performance/music but without risking my ears ringing after the concert is over
Be mindful of your battery life on your devices. This can be your lightsticks, phone, cameras, etc. You'll need your phone for after the concert, such as navigating back home, ordering Ubers/Lifts, ordering food, etc. Bring chargers, power banks, or extra batteries as appropriate
Dress however you like at the concert, but if you want to feel extra special: dress according to the artist's themed eras or your favorite member! Whether you dress for comfort or for fashion, most fandoms can be (not always but that shouldn't affect your individual experience) extremely friendly and supportive, so having a themed outfit that's recognizable will give you a confidence boost! I'm someone who doesn't bother to dress for every day, but for concerts, I enjoy theming my outfits and received compliments when I'm there :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[THE BOYZ Juyeon - The Stealer]
If you ever want to make anyone's day: hand out freebies! This can be small bracelets, keychains, charms, unofficial photocards or posters, anything that you can commemorate the day with. I've made unofficial photocards in the past for ATEEZ, which give you a chance at potentially making friends or gaining exposure within the community (if you promote as a creative, artist, group order manager, fansite, etc) However, if you do plan on handing out freebies: you will come across solo stans or entitled people that will not be satisfied with not getting their favorite member so handle those situations as you best see fit (personally, I'd probably just deny them a freebie if they don't have a warm and approachable attitude from the jump)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Talk to people around you and make them feel welcomed and a part of the community: it can be as simple as holding the line for someone else to get their own freebies (this happened to me at the Expedition tour and I was able to spend the entire day with those group of girls), asking who someone's bias is and where they're traveling from, if someone shows signs of needing help with anything, extending a hand if you're able to do anything to resolve the situation, also if you end up sharing words with other people, wishing them a good night and to arrive to their next location safely! It may seem small and insignificant, but these moments can change the trajectory of someone's concert experience in a positive direction without you even realizing
Dance like no one's watching, but act appropriately to not become a nuisance to the group experience: be there to enjoy your time but not at the expense of everyone else's experience. There's room to be excited, but there's no room for disrespect and acting inappropriately: scream while everyone's invited to scream, be mindful of your bubble (I've had to confront people pushing into me before after dealing with it multiple times without an apology), let the artists have a moment to speak and share their thoughts with the audience (please don't use those ments to shout and try to grab someone's attention, especially for people like me that have auditory processing issues and can't always make out what's being said without repeating the statements), be a good sport to everyone around you, including the artists themselves. Just because you paid for the experience doesn't entitle to act unhinged
Experience the concert like a movie: there's excitement in the element of surprise. I usually refrain from looking for the setlists or fancams of previous stops before my stop, treating my concert experience like I'm watching a movie for the first time. Some groups will also play into the theatrics of the show itself with dance performances or stages outside of their promoted songs, even performing songs outside of their norms (such as Japanese releases) or pre released title songs (stream Bite Back - THE BOYZ everyone). Allow yourself to immerse within the environment: watch the VCRs, pay attention to the set design changes, be present in the moment where it's easy for people to fall back onto their phones when they're not be stimulated. Give kudos to all the moving parts that makes these shows spectacular and genuinely a once in a lifetime opportunity. Memorialize it, embody it, consume the energy that comes from everyone coming together and traveling far and wide to be in a shared space and experiencing a special moment that will never be replicated again. And don't forget to have fun and if possible, make fun for others as well! And do not fret if your attempts at conversing with people fall short: it's almost 9/10 nothing personal to you and doesn't actually have anything to do with you. Anything can happen within these 24 hours that can make or break someone's spirit, so don't take offense if people are there for reasons outside of your own. Some people are there to unwind and listen to their favorite music, others want to make friends, some want to get as many interactions with their faves as possible (which I have my own opinions about but it's not important), overall: despite what happens, find your silver linings to make do of what's happening and what's in your control. You are in control of your experience: no one else, so might as well make the most of it and share an equal responsibility with the artist to create fond memories for all of us to look back on with smiles and heavy hearts
Thank you for whoever made it this far: happy birthday to me! 🎂🧁🍰

i signed up for presale for miami and had my mom & dad sign up too lmao. my mom's first suggestion was for my dad to buy the tickets - assuming we get picked - bc he's not working rn so he has time. and i was like… well that's an idea! my 64 year old father who has never been at war (buying high demand concert tickets on ticketmaster dot com) should definitely do that.

Childish Gambino - August 14
The fact that I went to this show at all, in hindsight, makes me feel incredibly lucky. Abby and I went to the Milwaukee date; not my usual Minneapolis/St. Paul. When the tour was announced, we decided we had to go, and I gave her the option of St. Paul (October 2nd) or Milwaukee. It was odd to me that the two dates were so far apart, but logistically the Milwaukee show worked better for her. For me, that just meant I got to have a sleepover with my friend for a couple of days.
Ultimately and unfortunately, the tour was cancelled after our show, but long before the St. Paul show due to health concerns. The decision to go to the Milwaukee date was the deciding factor between whether or not I got to attend the most visually incredible concert I have ever seen. What luck.
We had seen Childish Gambino once before - together - at our first Lollapalooza in 2019. The energy was unlike any crowd I've ever been in, in a good way, but it was also the tightest, most raucous crowd I've ever been in. Abby and I physically drifted apart from each other throughout the set (beyond our control), and agreed after the fact that while it was electrifying and the most fun, it was also the most unsafe we've felt in a crowd and didn't want to repeat that.
It was easy enough to avoid on this tour; our budget allowed for nosebleeds and nothing more. We were fine with this, until we got to our seats the night of. We were early, waiting outside the venue before doors opened, and went to find our seats before anything else. We sat down and Abby said "we gotta find a way to get closer", so it became our mission. We got up and went to a merch table to brainstorm how to acquire better tickets while we also debated whether or not we even wanted to buy merch. We ended up buying the same shirt, and realized there were tickets in the 100 level that were currently selling for the same face value we had paid for our 200 level seats during the presale. We didn't have time to fix it now if we wanted to see the opening act - Willow - so we went back to our too expensive nosebleed seats and thoroughly enjoyed Willow's performance. I haven't listened to her newest album, so wasn't familiar with much, but she sang with such power and softness at the same time. She set a good tone for the evening.
As soon as she finished, we went on the hunt. We asked the information desk, and they sent us to ticket services, who told us they couldn't do upgrades; we'd have to just buy better seats. We walked away, out of ideas but still determined, and I said, "we just have to be confident."
Another friend of Abby's has the same strategy, she said, and we agreed it was our only chance. We found seats still available on Ticketmaster that were the same price we had paid in the upper 100 level, and decided we'd aim for those - confidently. The security employee paid us no mind as we walked into our new section, while I looked at my phone to ensure we were going the right way - confidently. We were, but our new seats were taken. Nearly all of the available seats listed on Ticketmaster had people sitting in them. We found spots several rows ahead, more expensive seats, but unsold seats nonetheless. We sat down in a mostly empty row, perfectly centered between the end of the main stage and the smaller B stage at the back of the floor, and giggled. We do not break rules, and we are not confident. We laughed uncontrollably, talking about what we would do if the seats sold and we got kicked out of our new section - "we're just girls! We don't know how section numbers work!" "Oh, this isn't section 224? We didn't know!"
Eventually the laughter subsided to paranoia, likely aided by the atmosphere being created in the venue - no music, only slightly eerie outdoor sounds and a somewhat dramatic stage setup that included power tools (non-operational - despite the literal sparks - we determined, given the lack of eye protection). It certainly set a tone.
We knew this tour was an accompaniment to the album Bando Stone and the New World, and the still to-be-released movie of the same title, so we didn't feel like we had the whole picture going in. We had the movie trailer and the soundtrack, enough to know the vibes seem survivalist/post-apocalyptic. The paranoia continued to worm through my brain until the lights went out.
The sound of loud, electronic buzzing filled the arena, and stage lights turned on with chaotic flickering. An announcement played over the speakers, warning us of laser lights - keep arms and eyes out of the path. Smoke and an eerie red light began emanating from the B stage, while Childish Gambino stood in an outfit I can only describe as something between a scuba suit and a cyborg, complete with a helmet with thick cords hanging down the back, running backstage far enough to be out of view. H3@RTS W3RE M3@NT T0 F7¥ played, and sound waves displayed across the lower half of the mask in time with the lyrics being sung. A red wall of laser light shot from the back of the B stage to the opposite end of the arena. The same energy I felt at his 2019 Lollapalooza set (minus my crowd crush fear) was palpable.
He took his time in between songs going to the main stage - high fiving fans, signing merch - flanked by security, and missing the helmet. As soon as the next song started, I noticed the "light binder". I heard the term mentioned in the pre-show announcement/warning, and had pondered in between sets what all that shit hanging from the ceiling was. It was incredible - many, many (presumably) LED sticks that (sometimes) moved up and down independent from each other, while broadcasting different colored lights. For Survive, the first song on the main stage, it just flowed, lit with soft colors, reminding me of how it looks when sunlight refracts off crystal, making a pastel prism. It was such a level up from the standard concert lighting, no description could do it justice. I didn't know whether I should focus on Gambino or the lights.
He rolled through bangers that kept the crowd energy high, cutting several songs short before jumping into something else, with a running gag of "Y'all aren't real fans though" as soon as the music cut. We screamed louder every time. Our mostly empty row gave us room to dance without having to worry about anyone else's personal space, a complete 180 from seeing him at Lollapalooza. When he told everybody to jump, I jumped (I, as a rule, do not jump - ever, because my left knee gets very upset with me if I do). The man knows how to hype up a crowd. The light binder and the lasers shooting in between the stages kept me transfixed; the light binder activity ranging from an animated, head banging skull, to simple shimmering gold waves. Always surprising, and always fitting the context of the song/other lighting and imagery.
He returned to the B stage and slowed it down for Me and Your Mama and Do Ya Like before a final act on the main stage. He walked back to the intro of This Is America, bringing everybody's energy back up to where we started.
He ran through nearly every song I was still hoping for, keeping the crowd raging with IV. Sweatpants, which feels like it was made for a live show. L.E.S. came shortly after, followed by Heartbeat. Something about that song goes so hard and hits me so viscerally. The light binder hung low, making me feel claustrophobic. Unfortunately for me, Heartbeat was one of the songs he cut short, but I was so happy to get any of it live I couldn't care much, it felt cathartic to rage to what I got. He ran through a few more high energy songs, and walked off stage after Redbone. End credits rolled on the screens to Real Love. Abby and I watched people funnel out through the exits, she looked at me curiously and said "But he didn't play Lithonia?"
We stayed where we were standing. The credits finished and the screens changed, now simply reading LITHONIA? We cheered and he came back strong for a one song encore of Lithonia. We sang at the top of our lungs, letting out the last of our energy and voices. We left the venue grinning uncontrollably, mind blown.
I knew I wouldn't be disappointed, but damn, I wasn't expecting that.

how do u know what prices the tickets will be? before i used to know for groups ro bands id follow they were usually less than £100 but im concerned if it anything above £300 plus we have got nothing from ateez as a whole especially in recent times, theyre loveable talented guys but they just seem to leave us out and go elsewhere ans they only just included my nearest city so thankfully i can nip on the train there and back without needing a hotel to book. but my problem is just the lack of things from them if that makes sense?
im sure kq is wealthy guy because he managed to send them to the states with staffs as well but there is the travel expenses and hotel csots for the group themselves but they are not in the worst company so thats good at least but they overall seem less solid than skz. but skz too are fucking expensive bro and i dont even care for skz that much either.
Because I specifically was getting tickets for Denmark and they had the prices for seated tickets on the Ticketmaster website. Now I know because the first presale was yesterday. Seated tickets in Denmark are 1005dkk + fees (I don’t remember the prices for vip but I think general admission was 845dkk + fees)

lesson no. 1 in ticketmaster: just say no
Tumblr media
looking at tickets for a local show to gauge the fees that ticketmaster might add on the oasis general sale tickets tomorrow.
this show i’m using as an example is a week from now. it probably will not sell out as it’s a new artist in a venue that’s outdoors and typically doesn’t sell out completely.
i click on general admissions for 2 tickets. they are listed at $35 each. so $70 face value and i’m curious what service fees will be added to $70.
but once i go check out, ticketmaster gives me an alert that the price of the ticket i selected has changed. say what?
Tumblr media
my $35 per ticket price has changed to $49 each. but i looked at the venue map. i know what i clicked on. the $49 ones are in front of the section i want.
so i say no. i close out my checkout and go back to the venue page and click on the same tickets again.
Tumblr media
then i go to checkout again. this time i get no message about any price change. the $35 price holds and it calculates the total with fees added. viola!
Tumblr media
let’s be real, this is a scam. they tried to tell me the price had change to get me to buy a more expensive ticket. but the price hadn’t changed! obviously here, the difference is only $30. but you can see how much worse it would be if the ticket prices are double or even triple that price.
now obviously when you’ve been waiting in a queue for ages the last thing you want to do is close out. but in fact i saw multiple people name this as a method in the first uk round of tickets for getting the price they wanted. it did not impact your line in the queue. you can drop a ticket and add a ticket without a problem.
think of it as asking a grocery store clerk to help you get an item from the top shelf. you tell them what you want and they return with something different. what would you say? of course you’d say no i don’t want that one i want this one. same here.
lesson 2: service fees are killer.
Tumblr media
the service fee comes out to less than $10 per ticket. that looks smaller and more acceptable cause the ticket is cheaper. but do some simple math. $8.90 out of $35? that’s 25% of the ticket price. so if the ticket is $350, is the ticketmaster service fee now $89 per ticket or $178 for 2 tickets ? cause that’s gonna bump a $200 ticket to $300 and a $300 ticket to $400.
keep this in mind when writing down your preferred price and ceiling price. if it goes beyond your ceiling price, don’t pay.
lesson 4: don’t forget to add insurance.
Tumblr media
this is oasis. oasis in america. after a decade long feud. look they’ll most likely be fine. but let’s be real their track record is not so good. it’s a year out. no one really knows the real state of the gallaghers relationship. too many unknowns here. i’d never do it normally. but here, it qualifies. fork out for the insurance.
some links i found helpful:
reddit presale thread / metlife map with prices / metlife seat views / reddit ticket guide
have some tips for surviving ticketmaster? share them below.
see you on the queue at noon. (or you know in 30 minutes for the waiting room cause ticketmaster wants to eat my whole day.)

TIFF haul is pretty solid this year, honestly surprised I got some of these after seeing all the bitching on the subreddit (people there are melting down over things being harder to get this year when this is basically the first normal TIFF since the pandemic and I’m like… bro you guys don’t know what it was like before they started using ticketmaster and when single ticket day was the same for everyone and the website would have a total meltdown)
Went Up the Hill
The Life of Chuck
40 Acres
The Wild Robot (finally get to take my little brother to the festival 🥹 also apparently Pedro Pascal might be there?)
The Assessment
Conclave (this has been my dark horse Best Picture pick for this year since I heard about it in the winter)
Rumours (dude the fact that a Guy Maddin film is getting Oscar buzz at all is wild)
William Tell
The Friend (I really enjoyed this book)
Saturday Night (cannot believe I got this, second screening but you know at least Jason Reitman will show up because it’s TIFF)
The Shrouds (I have dreamt of attending a Cronenberg premiere at TIFF since I started going 🤘)
The Salt Path
Oh, Canada
The Deb (this is probably terrible - closing night is never particularly good - but I opted for it for the possible Q&A drama)
Queer premiere was actually available but overlaps with Rumours so I couldn’t but got tickets for my friend
Anora premiere had like 10 tickets available which shocked me (the most buzzy film at the festival and only has two screenings because Neon and A24 pull that shit every year to create hype), it did the ticketmaster thing where I clicked a seat and it was gone upon clicking “buy” though
I had tickets for Eden but my bank was being annoying and kept making me do two factor authentication for each transaction (I think because I’m 3 hours from home) and declined some of them at the beginning so I lost those
Still holding out for the Visa presale to maybe get something on the first Saturday, if not I’ll hit up that night’s Short Cuts
Pro tip: use Ticketmaster instead of TIFF’s portal. Just search each movie individually on the native Ticketmaster site and load up your tabs before on sale time. That way you skip the waiting room queue. I figured this out around 2018 and have had similar success each year since.

Jack Harlow Announces Cities And Dates For Kentucky Tour
Jack Harlow is poppin’ up all over his home state once again. The “First Class” rapper is doing his third annual “No Place Like Home: The Kentucky Tour.” Harlow loves his state and he is showing them how much he does. Although, some major changes will be happening on this tour.  Cities And Dates Of Tour Stops The tour consists of six stops around the state. His home in Louisville, Kentucky is not included on the list. However, he did announce where the six shows will take place. Jackman Harlow will perform in the following cities at the end of this year: Owensboro on November 24, Pikeville on November 25, Covington on November 26, Murray on December 1, Bowling Green on December 2 and Lexington on December 3. Fans will be able to access tickets now through August 20 at 11:59pm EST.  How Does The Process Of Getting A Ticket Work? If you would like to attend the tour, you should register in advance using Ticketmaster. Similar to those who attended the Renaissance Tour, randomly-selected people who registered will get a code to a presale. It begins on Tuesday, August 22 at 10AM local time. Tickets will be going quickly as the limited amount will become available in a general sale on the last Friday of this month.  Jack Harlow At Beyonce's Renaissance Tour Stop Harlow is hopefully coming in full-effect for his home state tour. He was just at the Renaissance show last month with his mom, where he introduced her to Beyonce. The Houston singer was seen holding a gift bag in a photo with the rapper and his mom. I’m sure the Louisville rapper found inspiration from the musical icon's performance. We'll be looking forward to seeing videos of the actor showing off his moves. Note
hi you don’t have to post this but I got tickets for the eras tour and this is what I remember from the process. I followed a lot of the advice that’s online which is only have one window open, use a laptop if you can, and don’t refresh anything. I think I had Ticketmaster open an hour/hour and a half before the queue started just in case, it really is just a waiting game. The first presale kept kicking me out which was really scary but I had west coast presale so because of the amount of people it ended up shutting down Ticketmaster and then we had to do it again about four hours later. The next time was a lot smoother I think I waited in the waiting room for about an hour before making it into the queue. It did say like 1000+ people in front of me but it started going down pretty quickly. I’ll be honest it was really stressful and I cried, a lot, but I am sending you the most positive vibes you got this!!!
Thank you so much anon this is super helpful actually!! I read someone said that the minute the sale opens you should refresh the waiting room page so it gets you out of it and into the queue why is all the advice so contradictory ajdjfkfk
So when the presale kicked you out you just clicked the link again and re-entered? I'm trying to be as prepared as I can
Thank you so much again and also posting in case this helps anyone else! Manifesting tickets for all of us 🙏🏼💜🕯️

This is important for anyone buying UK/Irish Eras tour tickets this week. On the Eras Tour FAQ page for both Ticketmaster Ireland and Ticketmaster UK it states that the event is a lead booker
Tumblr media
(the UK page has exactly the same information)
HOWEVER!! At the moment the Lead Booker page on Ticketmaster Ireland has no lead booker events listed, as op here has said. However on the Ticketmaster UK page, the Eras Tour dates are listed
Ireland
Tumblr media
vs UK
Tumblr media
So there is a bit of confusion for the Irish dates.
The main reason they are doing this is to try scare off scalpers/touters so that tickets actually get into the hands of fans and are not just sold on resale sites for ridiculous prices (hence the line there on the UK lead booker page that states the tickets are non-transferable and they have also basically said that they can't be resold either)
However as you can see from the FAQ they have stated if an event is a Lead Booker that it will be made clear to you when you book - this is completely false for the Midnights presale!! They did not tell us this information beforehand at all; they are telling you now though before the registered sale so please please for your own sake follow their instructions and pay with your card/the card of someone who is attending for those tickets. However they are in the wrong here for not telling fans before the Midnights presale - please complain to them!! It is totally their fault and extremely unfair and there is a year until the event, that should be more than enough time for them to fix this. Tell them they did not tell you of this fact beforehand AND that they have said they would.
If you have bought tickets though with someone else's card in the Midnights presale, please don't despair! There is a high chance that on the day they won't actually check IDs, I have heard from other people that they have been to lead booker events before and security was not checking. I would still email them first properly but I think there is a strong chance everything will work out okay in the end.
TL;DR But anyways for anyone buying Eras Tour tickets this week from Ticketmaster Ireland or Ticketmaster UK you need to do this with CARD OF A PERSON WHO WILL BE USING THESE TICKETS. This is super important as they have now informed us of it being a lead booker event, so just to cause less stress and hassle for you in the long run I would highly recommend following their instructions.
Best of luck to everyone buying tickets this week!
Irish / UK swifties
Making this post to spare anybody else the misery I almost went through. Since I don't have many irish followers, or followers from the uk (I think), maybe some of you could signal boost this post.
I bought tickets for Dublin N3 and paid them with my moms credit card. After receiving the eticket on my ticketmaster account I saw that my moms name was on the tickets. In germany the person that is named on the tickets needs to enter the venue with the group, otherwise you won't gain entrance. So I got suspicious and looked around on the ticketmaster website and it said, that this only counts for so called lead booker events. Lead booker event means, that the person on the ticket, that paid for the ticket, needs to be with the group in order to enter the venue. Ticketmaster Ireland stated, that there were currently no lead booker events. Since I never leave well enough alone, I wrote them an email though and asked if The Eras Tour will be a lead booker event and this is what they replied:

So, basically, I would have been screwed. I'm currently in the process of getting my tickets canceled, since I got some for Gelsenkirchen, but please be aware of this when ordering tickets in Ireland!!!
