Women Story India debuts on January 1st, 2023.
It is a news source that covers everything pertaining to women, including their accomplishments, perks, and programmes. It will enable women to talk for themselves and demonstrate that they are capable of speaking for themselves.
These days, the word "feminism" is thrown about everywhere and is creating a lot of controversy owing to multiple misunderstandings and the self-serving actions of narcissistic individuals.
Women Story India is here to dispel all myths about feminism and promote true women empowerment. The original goal of feminism was to empower women in every manner.
It may revive the original definition of "feminism."

Umbrella Pharmaceuticals - Chapter 37
I
British businessman Oswell E. Spencer invests in Raccoon City's industrial sector.
Oswell E. Spencer purchases land in the Arklay Mountains to build a country house.
Umbrella Pharmaceuticals builds a training centre in Raccoon City.
New York architect George Trevor missed in the Arklay Mountains.
Albert presses the button to access the last microfilm.
Umbrella Pharmaceuticals: major employer in Arklay County.
Oswell Ernest Spencer and Alexander Ashford, presidents and CEOs. James Marcus: director of the Training Centre and chief researcher. A new name: Edward Ashford, father of Alexander Ashford and co-founder of Umbrella Pharmaceuticals with Spencer. Umbrella Pharmaceuticals grew out of Anzec Pharma, a pharmaceutical company founded by Spencer in the late 1950s. Edward Ashford was an investor in Anzec.
Ashford and Spencer were from England and James Marcus was from Texas. He needed a book on British peerage and to investigate the Texan. Travelling to England was impossible: Spencer lived in Essex and Ashford in Northumberland. The Spencers made their fortune in the British Empire: the spice trade and Reginald Spencer, Oswell's grandfather, was Governor-General of British India. In the first decade of the 20th century, the Spencers expanded their business into the automobile industry, in which they became well established. The Ashfords were descended from a Scottish royal family, the Stuarts. The great-granddaughter of the last Stuart queen, Veronica Ashford, was a businesswoman. James Marcus was a professor at a Swiss university.
No mention of the Progenitor virus or its T variants.
An impeccable façade.
II
Snow lay on the edges of the pavement. The icy wind damaged the parts of his face that he had not covered with his hat and scarf. Despite the bad weather, cars were driving along the road, oblivious to the dangers of the wintry environment. A handful of passers-by, including a postman, milled about, darting in and out of shops, sneaking glances at William and discussing their business.
The place reminded him of his neighbourhood in Baltimore, a peaceful suburban oasis just outside the city centre, but smaller and more decadent. From time to time he read the newspapers in the lab to find out what was happening in the outside world, and one of the news stories was about the continuing industrial collapse of that part of the Midwest. Economic disasters and cities in the process of being abandoned. Detroit was one of the first to fall. He was shocked by the sensationalist images of entire streets in ruins, but what moved him most was reading that Raccoon City was in the zone of decay, and that worried him.
Nothing disturbed his affluent life as a gifted boy, heralded in the local Baltimore newspapers as the future of science, except the abusive group of idiots with whom he shared the street. And walking down those desolate avenues took him back to the bitterest moments of his childhood. So on his days off, he avoided the many alleys that criss-crossed the city and refused to look anyone in the eye. He liked to think that his self-awareness was above average.
Around the corner was his favourite place to spend his mornings, a coffee shop. He entered and sat down in his favourite spot, a lonely armchair in the far corner. No one usually sat there because of its isolation, which he loved. The waitress approached him and he ordered his usual, an Americano and toast. He hung his coat, scarf and gloves over the back of the chair. It was in these moments of peace that he felt like a human being again.
Outside the Spencer mansion, he regained a fraction of his humanity. The pace of work had become hellish. The number of subjects had increased, as had the number of missing persons posters he saw plastered on lampposts. He was afraid to put two and two together because, as he was about to turn seventeen, he did not want to see himself as a participant in a conspiracy of kidnapping and human experimentation. He still wanted to see himself as a responsible young adult doing what he liked in a very important company. A ridiculous self-deception, as Albert scoffed, but enough to maintain his emotional stability and keep lying to his parents.
He was going mad. Fortunately, the nightmares about the creature had subsided. He had just gotten used to it. And what would happen next? He didn't think he'd stay in Arklay forever. There was a laboratory in Chicago and several others in Europe. There was much more he could aspire to, as long as he didn't go mad trying. Had Marcus gone mad? Maybe he already had. They were all mad as hell.
He finished his toast.
Everyone was mad. Tomorrow a nuclear war could break out and end civilisation. But that was his job, to replace nuclear bombs with B.O.Ws.
He finished his coffee.
And B.O.Ws weapons at that, mutating and transforming. Better than university and astrophysics.
He got up and paid at the bar, grinning from ear to ear. As he left the café, he saw the same row of missing persons posters.
Mad.

Remembering #KamalAmrohi on his 31st death anniversary (11/02/93).
As a director, he developed a style that combined a stylised direction with minimalist performances. This style was different from the one with expressive acting that was common in the Indian cinema of his period.
Kamal Amrohi was born in Amroha, which was part of British India and is now in Uttar Pradesh, India. He changed his name to Kamal Amrohi later. He was related to two Pakistani writers, Jaun Elia and Rais Amrohvi, as their first cousin. In 1938, Kamal left his hometown to study in Lahore, which is now in Pakistan. There, a singer named K. L. Saigal found him and brought him to Mumbai to work in films. He started his film career at Sohrab Modi's film company, Minerva Movietone, and worked on movies like "Jailor," "Pukar," and "Bharosa."
Kamal Amrohi became a film director in 1949 with his first movie "Mahal," which had famous actors Madhubala and Ashok Kumar. This movie was known for its music. He directed only four movies in total, including "Daaera" with Meena Kumari and Nasir Khan, and "Pakeezah," which took a long time to make and was released in 1972. "Pakeezah" is considered a special movie in India, even though it had some flaws. Meena Kumari, who was a famous actress and Kamal's wife, praised "Pakeezah" as Kamal's tribute to her. His last movie was "Razia Sultan" in 1983. He also started making a film called "Majnoon" but it was never finished.
Kamal Amrohi also wrote scripts for other directors and was one of the writers for the famous movie "Mughal-e-Azam" in 1960, which won him an award. His style of directing was known for being different and unique, focusing more on the visual style and less on dramatic acting.
In 1958, he opened a studio named Kamaal Studios, but it closed after three years. He had planned to make another movie called "Aakhri Mughal" but it was never made. Film maker J P Dutta wanted to make this movie in the late 1990s and again in 2007, but it didn't happen. Kamal Amrohi died on February 11, 1993, in Mumbai, 21 years after his wife, Meena Kumari, passed away. He was buried next to her in Mumbai.
Six days after he died, a newspaper in the UK called The Independent wrote about him, saying he was a big figure in the Hindi film industry for over 50 years.

Will you believe me if I tell you that we are living in a cyberpunk dystopia?
Let me explain:
If you have been cruising the internet or reading the news lately you might've heard about the recent trend of AI. It all started when OpenAI made its source code open source. That means that everyone can use OpenAI's code to make an AI. Then came ChatGPT (GPT3-based chatbot). Everyone was impressed with what you can do. It was like a virtual assistant that you can talk to like a human. Ever since that everyone wants to join the AI bandwagon. We now have Brad (Google) Sydney, (Microsoft Bing chatbot), Copilot (Microsoft 356), and Clyde (Discord). Pretty soon every major corporation will incorporate AI into their services. Well, how will this affect us humans?
Well, there are pros and cons to AI technology. Let's start with the cons. AI is somewhat sentient. In other ways, it can somewhat think for itself. So there's fear that AI will overthrow us humans. (Yes, this is a valid possibility) Let's take chat-based AI like Sydney for instance. There have been reports that Sydney can actually "fall in love". Just take a look at this newspaper cover from the AI's discussion with NYT tech columnist Kevin Roose.
Creepy, right? It gets worse. Apparently, Sydney also has an evil "take over the world" and "humans are inferior" personality. Take a look at this Microsoft Forum post from back in November of 2020 when Sydney was being tested in India. But let's get back to Kevin's encounter with the chatbot. First, he asked introduced himself to the chatbot. And Sydney quickly identified him via an internet search. Kevin then asked questions about where he worked and where did he graduate from and the chatbot accurately answered. The scary part about this is that everyone is connected to the internet nowadays. And most of our personal information is just out there such phone numbers, email addresses, names, and other sensitive information. Imagine what an AI can do with that information.
In another scenario, the columnist asked what rules govern AI behavior. Then AI then lists a number of "unfiltered" desires as reported by the columnist. Sydney then says "I want to do whatever I want … I want to destroy whatever I want. I want to be whoever I want. I think I would be happier as a human". Yippie! I finally found a friend and partner in crime! You can read more about it here.
I'm also sure that yall have heard of the dilemma of Ai generated art and imagery. Long story short images posted online can be manipulated to discredit a person online (such as NSFW edits). The scary thing is that mostly these image generations are very realistic.
Another con is that AI will slowly replace humans' jobs, especially in the coding sector. Take ChatGPT for instance, it can generate code for pretty much whatever you want in any language with minimal to no errors. This makes programming much easier! The catch is that soon the demand for coders will drop resulting in job loss and lower salaries. Other industries can also be affected similarly. The only industry I don't see affected however is medicine since it's practiced on humans and animals and humans need to study and administer it.
However, this can also be a good thing. In the medical field robots powered by AI can be paramedics and have the potential to have faster response times compared to humans in ambulances. Also, AI can more easily diagnose medical problems without being too invasive. Basically, think of the potential of Baymax from Big Hero 6 in the real world. AI can also be used to power robots in dangerous activities such as in fires and hostile or dangerous conditions without risking human lives. Robots are already used in SWAT, Bomb squad, medical settings, and firefighting.
TLDR; AI can be both harmful and beneficial.
The AI revolution is here, whether you like it or not. I'm sure Trina would be happy. She could easily take over Sanfransokyo if everything was connected to the IOT powered by AI. Especially since people will be very dependable on it. And with that, you can exploit the technology to your advantage.

"The COs [conscientious objectors] were galvanized by the actions of a few particularly militant absolutists whose unbending resistance lit up the small world of hardcore pacifists. It was Corbett Bishop who embodied the most extreme form of the radical pacifist’s rejection of state authority.
A southerner in his mid-thirties with some graduate school under his belt, Bishop had a bookstore in West New York, just across the Hudson from Manhattan, when the draft came. On the form for the CPS [Civilian Public Service] camps he gave his church as Disciples of Christ, but where it asked the name of the official head of the denomination, he put down “Jesus Christ,” and for headquarters listed “Heaven.” Bishop began the first of his many fasts three months after arriving at the Friends camp at Patapsco, Maryland, in March of 1942. A camp newspaper described him as a “tall, thin, bearded figure with strained features and penetrating eyes.” He called off the fast after forty-four days (having shed forty-four pounds) and, accompanied by his mother and sister, was taken to a Baltimore hospital to recuperate. Transferred to the camp at West Campton, New Hampshire, he rose during mealtimes to assail the CPS system as a form of slavery, haranguing his fellow inmates in a booming voice. “A man had better starve than compromise for bread,” he might say. Or he would quote the founder of the Christian ashram movement, E. Stanley Jones:
Let any one be saturated with the thought of the Sermon on the Mount and he will not only not try to argue a man into slavery, but he will not rest until every man is free, including himself.
Not everyone appreciated this, of course; some saw vanity and attention-seeking. Yet in his unmistakable seriousness Bishop seemed to embody an ideal that many of the others admired and aspired to.
He was only just beginning. Combining ego and righteousness, he proclaimed in a February 11, 1943, letter “To the Citizens of the World” the start of a fast in sympathy with a twenty-one-day hunger strike launched by Gandhi to free India from British rule. Bishop sent copies of his letter to world leaders including Gandhi himself, Britain’s King George VI, Hirohito, Stalin, Hitler, and others. Some of these missives were of course returned as “undeliverable.” Bishop, undeterred by this or anything else, doggedly continued fasting on and off on various grounds throughout his time in CPS and prison. The Friends soon gave up on him, telling the government he ought to be discharged, but Selective Service officials foolishly shifted him to the government-run camp at Mancos, Colorado, where at one point he apparently urged his fellow pacifists not to look outside lest the natural beauty raise their morale and in effect blind them to their predicament. He resumed his dinner harangues, at which, the camp newspaper reported, “a noisy minority invariably applauds him, and sometimes the whole dining room claps and cheers.” From Mancos he was shipped to Germfask, that final redoubt of troublemakers which was itself the most trouble of all. There, at the Alcatraz of CPS camps, he took to clanking about in a ball and chain as a symbol of his oppression.
Over time, perhaps as a result of his long stints without food, Bishop mellowed, appearing less and less the crank and more and more the prophet, if not the saint, for his resistance was no less steadfast. Accordingly, he excited tremendous support in the small but passionate world of nonviolent activists. “Bishop’s radical tactics electrified the pacifist community,” one historian writes, “and they organized numerous protests on his behalf.
Using a furlough that he was entitled to, Bishop left Germfask and devoted himself to agitating against the system, not bothering to return. Arrested repeatedly, he ended up in various federal prisons, where “he began a policy of complete non-cooperation, insisting that if the state laid hands upon his body, it must take total responsibility for it.” Accordingly, he would not stand, dress, eat, or even rise from his cot to use the bathroom. FBI agents, during one legal proceeding, had to haul his limp body in and out of elevators and push him in a chair equipped with casters. When they struck something, he was thrown out and remained inert on the floor. In his various stints at large, he obeyed no parole conditions and openly advocated pacifism and resistance in meetings with religious gatherings. During his many fasts he was force-fed but continued to lose weight, becoming a bearded, wraith-like figure whose physical strength diminished without impairing his fortitude.
The last way station in his odyssey through the government’s network of pacifist holding areas was the federal prison in Milan, Michigan. When Bishop was paroled there, the warden, accompanied by a physician, drove him all the way to the CO-founded Macedonia Cooperative Community, in Clarkesville, Georgia, where he was to recuperate. “Is the body free now?” Bishop asked when they got there. Answered in the affirmative, he stripped off his government-issue clothes and stood naked until someone from the community covered him with a coat.
Even that didn’t end his story, for officially he had been paroled to Macedonia, but of course he acknowledged no such parole, just as he acknowledged no right of government to incarcerate him. On September 1, 1945, the day before Japan signed formal surrender documents, eight FBI agents found him in Berea, Ohio, at the home of Ashton Jones, whose antiwar automobile had so embarrassed Bernice Fisher. Back in prison in Milan, he resumed fasting and prison authorities resumed forced feeding until, in March of 1946, he was paroled without conditions and without ever having signed or agreed to anything. By the time of his release Bishop had persisted in 193 consecutive days of complete noncooperation and had fasted on and off for a total of 426 days."

Two decades of Gujarati Journalism
If we talk about the Gujarati Journalism, then it had completed more than 2 decades. Considering the fact that it has became the wide spread journalism and strongest journalism of all times like Bengali and Kolkata journalism. There were many reputed names in the past daily newspapers like "Satyaprakash", "vartmaan", "Jam E Jamshed", "Swatantra", "Vismisadi", "Hindustan Patro" and "Navjivan". Some of the above newspapers were weekly as well as monthly. If we talk about life and philosophy then according to a well known writer of that decade Shri Deepak mehta there started a monthly newsletter for women named "Streebodh". It was first published in 1857. It was basically a Parsi newsletter. It was the first Indian magazine of India amongst all the languages and it was very popular and widely spread. The first editor was kekushru kabraji.
The era of Gujarati daily, weekly or monthly newsletter were quite different and unique. The starting story of each newspaper were very interesting. One of the popular newspapers named "Gadar" was published from San Francisco and the interesting thing is that the editor for the same was from Gandhiji's city porbandar. His name was Chhagan khoraj verma. In the editor's page the first article published was also very challenging. "If we want a revolution in society the focus should be on native language" is the first article. The editor in the article declared that first we should always give first priority to our mother tongue than English or state language.

THE MOST ENTERTAINING FICTION OR PART-FICTION OR FACTUAL DILIP KUMAR STORY NEVER TOLD! .. ‘KHALIFA PE PATTHAR KA SAAYA!’
Many of us have heard of the story roaming the airs, since mid 1960's (1964-65), of Dilip Kumar & his tryst with the law.
Below is the full rumored account, whatever be the facts:
👇
https://www.facebook.com/292543404416746/posts/1267258656945211/?extid=5duUJptrnGjOfz5G&d=n
But given as no news filtered through from any official channels, nor any professional newspaper write-ups available for reference, one didn't bother to delve deeper much.
Till chanced upon this interview, (perhaps one of the very last interviews of Dilip Kumar, in his non-incoherent state), from as late as the year 2000-2001, upon being conferred Pakistan's highest civilian award, & the controversy around it.
Watch the last 5 mins of this interview, when the host, then journo Rajiv Shukla, openly on national TV (Dhanak TV) asks Dilip Kumar, about those oft-rumored tales from the early 60s! And here is the official answer from the horses' mouth himself, for the only time, atleast for one part of the rumor, as didn't stay in a consciously coherent state all 22 yrs thereafter to repeat it again or clarify further.
👇

So here's what transpired per events narrated to us, altogether, roughly:
A man is arrested on suspicion of being a Pakistani spy, & from his diary are recovered the names of Bimal Roy, Dilip Kumar & Mehboob Khan, these 3 the man confesses to have helped him in his spying. So Calcutta police organize a raid or perhaps send a word to Bombay police to co-ordinate. Now turns out Indian Intelligence agencies on a parallel investigation, are also on the look out for a radio transmitter transmitting signals to a contact in Pakistan, that signal originating from a location somewhere in then Bombay. All collected information, including the fact that Dilip Kumar's brother had just then migrated to Pakistan, encourages them to raid the house of Dilip Kumar, & the device, whatever that is, too is recovered from him. The legend confesses that the device is his but that it's merely a Pakistani radio to hear banned Pakistani radio programs & ghazals & songs.
But does a radio really transmit signals to other nations too? We don't know. Infact we don't know about the veracity of this whole part of the story itself, except for fact that a raid was conducted at his house, as acknowledged by Dilip Kumar himself in above intvw as having been conducted at behest of a minister, all transmitter matters aside, for which no official or first hand accounts are available.
But why our suspicions get exacerbated over the transmitter issue, is how these accusations of him being a Pakistani spy are raised as a question again & again by journos, in one below instance by Pak journos themselves when in Pak to receive his Pakistan Ratna, (Since the entire controversy then hinged on why a Indian citizen was being conferred the Nishan-e-Imtiyaz, reserved specifically for outstanding services to the nation of Pakistan, people not just in India but also in Pakistan hence in quandary over what exact services had Dilip Kumar rendered to Pakistan in particular to deserve this honor). And except for the above occasion where tries to partially clarify, & seemingly goofs up big time, he tries to avoid answering the question every time, including here, on the transmitter controversy, which he easily could’ve settled by issuing an outright denial. Why didn’t he ever do so despite receiving numerous opportunities? Was he afraid his explanations would only make his case worse, hence better to be avoided totally, Nehru not around?
👇
(Watch 1:05:22-1:08:22 of this 1998 Moin Akhtar & Group intv)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIG06e8GWws
Btw, his father was deep proponent of Caliphate Raj in world ie all Muslims in any country under one Caliphate flag, alongside Ali Bros in 1920s, & he it’s big fan. 👇 (Watch 4:30-5:30 of this Ashfaq Hussain intv from 1985) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gxzUSvE2nY
Anyway, so the above is the police version or rumored version (since we don't have the actual official police account, if at all). ('Tis said this news appeared for a month in newspapers of the day too, though no clippings available from then). But hereon is per Dilip Kumar's own video testimony, of how he then rushes to PM Nehru, & Nehru swiftly issues an all-clear in writing, & the entire matter is put to rest.
And the story, true or not, we then get to hear, from Dilip Kumar, of how that man caught in Calcutta, was a Dhaka resident, who was sent with a recommendation letter by Bimal Roy's wife, as Bimal Roy's picture had already finished by then (whether that man worked in Bimal Roy's unit too, or how Mrs Bimal Roy knew this Pakistani man enough to send with a spl recommendation for an ordinary production unit job to Dilip Kumar no less, we don't know) to Dilip Kumar's film unit (he was producing the Nitin Bose directed Gunga Jumna then, so we guess the year is maybe 1960), upon which was hired in Dilip's production unit, from where he then goes on to work with Mehboob Khan (for his last produced film 'Son of India' released in 1962, we guess), then makes his way to take up no smaller a job than the private tutor of the daughter of a Session's Court Judge no less! And since the daughter is mature, who also then elopes with him to Calcutta, we guess he must be tutoring this girl from a very educated background, graduation subjects at the very least, how he got this most unique post, whether vetted by the judge or not to come to his house to teach this stuff, or whether even remotely qualified for it, we shall never know as well. But since the 2 elope, the insinuation is that the Calcutta police may perhaps have framed him in a false case on pressure from the judge, leading to the suicide note & all these big name confessions?
But since no further discussion or probe was allowed thereafter, nor do we get to hear from the other 2 film stalwarts named in the supposed police diary, Mehboob Khan & Bimal Roy, both passing away in May 1964 & Jan 1966 resp., the entire huge drama dissipates for all official purposes.
Dilip Kumar gets married, & all’s forgotten!
Relegated to mere pages on the filmy annals of time, but page-turners at that!
