im am autism man and this is very, very long and i apologize in advance

there’s 2 versions of this au that could work n both r lowkey painful so uh. let’s go in.

version 1 of this ( and this is entirely based on the token Fire Metaphor for beatrice but. anyways ) is that like. instead of gundren rockseeker using the phoenix fire gauntlet, it’s bea ? like. maybe after bertrand dies and beatrice Escapes from the second fire or whatever the fuck is up w/ that, she kinda…. goes rogue, for lack of a better term ? it hurts her and she doesn’t want to leave her children or her home but like…. she does it anyway for w/e reason and that’s,,, how she comes to be Adventuring Buddies w/ taako mag n merle and and why she’s the first to use a relic. & like. canonly the creators of the relics can’t actually. use them and are immune to their Thrall so in this version beatrice meeting thb is something entirely unplanned for ( think angus mcdonald lol )  like…. she’s also in that bar when they get recruited for work for gundren and barry and just… happens to hear and want to tag along ? bc she’s prob lost and on her own and probably in use of a job and money and, admittedly, friends so like. she tags along !!!! and when they meet up w/ gundren again in wave echo cave, she…. falls for the thrall of the relic ? and for gundren he uses it bc he believes it’s his birthright and his whole… rampage is fueled on Revenge and while idk if revenge is beatrice’s thing, it prob would play a role in why the outcome of this is so…. disastrous and prob why the thrall of the relic ( bc like. in canon there wasn’t persuasion involved in the use of the gauntlet but honestly i think for beatrice to use it there would have to be some sort of temptation via the relic or w/e ) is so much more grand than it probably would have been for beatrice ? like…. she just lost her husband and her children and her family and her home and idk im assuming ? that a small part of her would…… want like. Justice for that ? and so she uses it and just. wrecks fucking havoc. it has a different effect on bea than it did on gundren, because like. deep down she knows she doesn’t want this ? she doesn’t want to hurt these people or this city and there has to be a better way and she wants it to stop ( basically like sloane from the petals to the metal arc hgnjg ) but she can’t…. rly stop herself so this town, phandalin, is just. destroyed and it’s bea’s fault ? & like. she dies. of course she dies. the boys try to help as much as they can and they try to reel her in and stop her but the power of the relic is just,,,,, too much hnjfjnj y ikes ! 

there’s a version also that i can think of where like. she was a member of ipre ( she did something in the sciency field like barry but was also used for, like lup, her specialization in evocation magic >;3 ) so, therefore, always knew the tres horny boys and got her memory Erased by the voidfish and fuckin. met up w/ thb during the first adventure w/ gundren and got inoculated into the bob and became a reclaimer and essentially tagged along on the Canon Adventures and like. lived ? probably i mean they have their Moments and beatrice probably tries to use a relic once or twice or s/t iDK ur muse is a fuckin Wild Card and ya girl bea loves to die apparently :’/////ALSO a lil sidenote but i love the idea of beatrice being like. essentially the lup of the group wherein she’s… much Chiller than the boys r ? and like… so much Better than they r in terms of things like morals bc like. the boys r fucked up ! magnus is my sweet, sweet lawful good boy but he has his moments where it’s like !!!! what the fuck !!! and taako is so on the opposite spectrum from both of them in terms of ethics n stuff ( merle, true to canon, is a peacekeeper and just goes along w/ whatever ) and i love the idea of beatrice being able to say like. ‘yall what the FUCK there’s a better way to go about this’ bc like. 1.) she, true to the nature of the show, is a Competent Woman and saves their asses,,,,, countless times & 2.) beatrice is a person who’s very morally grey but she’s. definitely better than these chucklefucks nnjnjfmkmkjn

okay here’s where i,,,, sweat i haven’t read asoue since elementary school and i never finished the netflix series so uhhhh let’s fuckin,,,, prepare 2 die and have many Canon Errors gnfj 

magnus, for one reason or another, takes care of violet klaus and sunny. probably bc like. i wna say that !! mag ( and likely julia ) was also involved in vfd and,,,, as a result became. very close w/ bea bc of it ? they���re both theatre nerds and like. magnus is just a naturally charming person and tries to be friends w/ bea so like. after bea fuckin Dies, her children somehow find their way to him. it uh. it doesn’t last long ? as is the nature of the books and bc olaf is always Out There but him and julia…. try their best and like. for a while it’s really,,, good ? magnus & julia probably still run a carpentry business or something to that degree so like. idk if they’re necessarily doing well financially but it’s enough to provide for the 5 of them or w/e and magnus and julia are just so,,,, naturally & genuinely caring and kind and just. such good people and they prob are really good for violet klaus and sunny ? but then like. probably due to something bc of olaf or vdf or w/e, julia dies, and magnus just. he just Can’t. he tries so so hard bc these children deserve so much and he wants to do good for bea but like his spirit and his will to live r uuhhhhhh gone so. the misfortune of the baudelaires continues i guess :’/ alSO an important detail: magnus, true to canon, is very very opposed to the vfd and what they do as soon as he’s old enough to understand it and does everything in his power to,,, stop them, essentially ? again idk much abt asoue or the vfd or what happens There but like. jot that down ?

It look a lot of patience but? She was able to get him to sit still and remain calm enough to hold one of her bats. This was the first step in convincing him not to irrationally fear bats anymore.

He used to tease her, during their younger days, about saving at least some of the world’s more wonderful men for the rest of them. Affectionately, of course. He was content if she was happy.

She’s probably the only member of the organization who can convince Dewey to do just about anything. Even Rania can’t. Her charm isn’t lost on him; it’s simply more of a very devoted friendship than anything resembling infatuation.

                            it’s  not  the  first  time  &  god  knows  it  won’t  be  the  last  (   the  universe  isn’t  kind  enough  for  that   ),     but  it’s  still  hard  for  beatrice.   hard  for  all  of  them,    of  course,    but  for  a  reason  not  yet  known  to  magnus,     it’s  hard  for  beatrice,     &  magnus  does  what  he  can.    they  all  do,    really,    but  magnus  dies  most,    &  more  frequently,    so  he  supposes  he  takes  more  of  that  responsibility.    takes  it  more  personally.     either  way,    it’s  something  of  a  routine  now.     arrive  /  live  /  fight  /  die  /  make  it  up  to  beatrice.    die  /  let  the  hunger  take  over  /  watch  as  your  friends  abandon  you  /  come  reborn  /  let  her  know  you’re  alive.     you  &  your  heroes  heart,     you  with  your  brave  soul,     you  with  your  black  eye  &  hard  candies  in  your  jacket  pocket  to  prove  it  :  let  her  seek  solace  in  this.     come  reborn  &  make  your  way  to  whatever  corner  of  whatever  room  she’s  holed  herself  up  in  this  time,    come  to  her  with  the  same  oolong  in  the  same  mugs  &  the  same  sheepish  smile  (   a  routine  )  &  nudge  your  way  into  doorframe  as  if  oblivious  to  turmoil.    your  beating  heart  :  a  solace.    your  smiling  lips  :  a  requiem  for  a  heart  long  stilled.
