I‘m not super into any modern AU but the idea of mascot aang with cheerleader azula is just too cute🥰

YES it is a very good AU. I latched on very quickly and I still think about it a lot.

So how I think of the AU…..

Azula would just have been taken away from her father and placed with her Uncle Iroh and Zuko. She still struggling with the shift in reality, taking out all her frustration into cheer/school and lashing out on everyone. She aims to be perfect at everything and is the ranked 1st student in her class. Till Aang comes around.

Aang transferred to Azula’s private school. Aang is an adopted son for an ambassador and goes to private school (with the Gaang). Is a prodigy but just wants to have fun, skate, do his work, getting high, hang out with his dog Appa, and is avoiding the realities that wait him once he graduates.

This infuriates Azula because now she is not the top student, Aang is. So when they get paired up to work together on a semester long project, hell nearly breaks loose. All cuz their teacher wanted to see what would happen.

Thus the shenanigans begin, and their relationship changes.

He would hype up the crowd during their routines, and try to mimic her! He would do all these flips and jumps and try to irritate her during the games. OH THE MYSTERY OF WHO IS BEHIND THE MASK!!!

She would have no idea who was behind mask and be so irritated about it. She finally catches on when one game he bring out a skateboard and does some tricks.
