Do you guys think Eddie makes sarcastic comments to himself alot when he's at home? Or when he's just not around other people?

Because we see him do it in the treasure hunt and then with Buck on the couch and now I'm obsessed with Eddie keeping up a sarcastic running commentary of his life under his breath.

What's more is I'm sure Christopher's caught him at it so many times, probably Buck too.

Despite whatever has settled between them they’re still partners out in the field. But, everything feels slightly off kilter, like everything has been shifted to the left or the world’s tilted a degree on its axis. Eddie gives him the wrong tool. Buck’s fingers miss the hand off and it crashes to the ground. They’re constantly bumping into each other; wrong-footed and frustrating. Eddie snaps when Buck asks him to repeat a question. Buck accidentally elbows Eddie in the ribs when he pries a door off a dented car. 

It’s not enough to interfere with their job, but it does capture the rest of the team's attention and by the time they’re back in the engine on opposite sides Buck’s eyes burn with unshed tears as he keeps his gaze firmly set on a grease smudge on the window.

He’s not quite sure whether Buck was really real or if it was just a hallucination. But his desperation and fear sounded real. His cry of pain as Eddie sprinted away sounded real too. Suddenly, like a wave crashing against the shore Eddie feels a deep, deep sorrow overcome him. He doesn’t know if Buck is alive and the thought of losing him even after everything terrifies Eddie. He saved Eddie. He just wished he knew what was going on in Buck’s head. 

He wonders what Shannon thinks of Buck.

He immediately pushes that thought away as he rolls his shoulders. Buck and Shannon do not coexist well together in his thoughts.

Buck keeps all the notes people write him. Birthday cards, post-its, letters, all of it. There’s a box of hand written notes at the bottom of his closet. When he was traveling, it was a folder he used to keep his important documents in one side while the other side was filled with notes and birthday cards from Maddie. 

There is not a single one from his parents.

A theory I'm working on is Buck is just super intimidated by interior design. His whole 'couches connected to girlfriends' thing is a cover for his abject terror when it comes to making an interior design decision.

Hi!! For a little context, this was started between 6x10 and 6x11 and then I committed to my own timeline.

“Supportive?” Maddie scoffs, ignoring her mother’s censoring look at her tone. “You’ve stayed as far away as you can! I haven’t seen you at the hospital even once since he’s been there!”

Margret stands from the table now too. “We’ve been helpful here.” She claims, gesturing around Maddie’s own home. “We’ve been understanding about your need to be with him. We haven’t pressured you at all about not being around, nor for updates when you’ve come back tired!”

Maddie throws her hands in the air, forgetting to keep her voice down. “And you think that’s some kind of kindness?” She demands. “It’s your son in a hospital bed and you want me to thank you for not being upset that your visit is ruined?”

The first time Buck sees Eddie pout is at his Abuela because she made him leave the kitchen while she's cooking.

He decides then and there that Abuela is a national treasure and should be treated as such, which he later learns is also a way to get Eddie to pout at both of them playfully.

Whatever is currently in the lead when I check is what I have to work on. the prompt list option, if in the lead, means I start from the number in the prompt list of the percentage it's at when I see it.

After credits scene: we see Taylor served papers by a man in a suit. The LAFD legal office owed Buck a favor for turning down the payout, after all.

Seven Sentence Sunday

I was tagged by @mysteriouslyyounggalaxy and for the first time in what feels like forever, I have something to post!

This is from what I've been affectionately calling 'Eddie misses his boyfriend dammit' because it doesn't have a real name yet

Eddie isn’t even spiraling, is the thing. He understands exactly why Buck did it, or at least the reason that Eddie would have for doing the same thing. Because as much as he’s missed his team this week, he’s been comforted by the knowledge that Buck has their friends, their little family, looking out for him even if Eddie can’t be doing it himself. So having Buck volunteer to take over floating when he heard isn’t shocking or anything. 

Which doesn't help his irrational urge to throw a full-blown-screaming-crying tantrum about it.

Because, fuck, Eddie misses his boyfriend. So much it's beginning to physically ache. 

Pressing the heels of his palms to his eyes, he takes several deep breaths like that, packing away the frustration he can feel building up.

Just as he's pulling out his phone to send Buck a text about it, the alarm sounds because of course it does.
