Back again with in What If scenario, but with last Alpha Duo, what would happen If Marinette and Adrien were paired with Stellar and Koree ? The Infinity Duo is the less explored Alpha Duo

To be honest, the Infinity Duo is probably the least compatible Alphas for Adrien and Marinette. I don't think their personalities would match too well, nor would they provide the support I'd say the children need compare to other Alpha kwamis. Not to say that they wouldn't bond with Adrien and Mari, I think they would all love their kwamis/holders, but it would be a shadow compared to other pairings.

Adrien is in a situation where he needs emotional support. Where he feels the need to hide everything he's going through; and Chat Noir has always been his escape and chance to express himself. Meanwhile Koree is a very removed kwami, without Stellar around she's not really going to be showing any affection, not even the more aloof kind that Plagg often gives. When she expresses the most is with her cunning and craftiness for her own entertainment, which she probably wouldn't be doing much of because she's aware it could hurt Adrien. What I would find most risky of all would be her attempts to help Adrien, which would probably be encouraging him to hide and ignore everything even more on both sides of the mask. She wouldn't be doing it maliciously, it is in her nature to solve a problem by simply making it not exist, but I think this would make Adrien's mental state much more worse than what he's dealing with in canon. I think Raccoon!Adrien would be a lot more susceptible to akumatization overall because of this.

As for Marinette and Stellar, I think we'd get a very similar incompatibility, though not to the same extreme as it would be for Adrien. In fact I think there's would be some instances Mari and Stellar would work well together, as I think he'd be good at snapping Marinette out of her spiraling panics... but I also think he could trigger her anxiety a lot as well. He is very blunt, and very honest, to the point where he's not going to offer reassurances when one needs them. If anything he just might end up feeding her anxiety when he talks about a reality of a situation. He's not pessimistic, but seeing the life a superhero leads it just might seem he's that way with how much danger is in their lives. And like with Koree, Stellar won't express himself as much without his other half, which can't happen with secret identities in place.

Flipping kwamis would probably be the best match up with this duo. I think Adrien very much values honestly, and would appreciate Stellar's blunt truth. I also think this would help Adrien do a lot of reflecting about his treatment in his home life and reality of his abuse. But on the other side of that coin Stellar still wouldn't be able to provide the emotional support Adrien needs or inspire action to create change. As with Mari and Koree I think we'd see very similar things as we would with Adrien holding the Raccoon Miraculous, with Koree methods of encouraging hiding thoughts and feelings away instead of addressing them, which can do more harm than good.

But enough with the negatives of these match ups, because I definitely don't these guys would hate each other or anything. Much like Adrien with Plagg, I think Adrien would recognized pretty easily that Stellar/Koree do care, even if they don't put on a show about it, which I think either kwamis would appreciate in a holder. I think Koree would very much find ways to entertain herself at the Agreste household without involving Adrien and much to annoyance of the adults. I think Koree would much enjoy making Adrien's schedule vanish or Gabriel's most recent designs disappear just to see their panic, all while giving Adrien a bit more free time as well. Adrien would just have to make sure that she doesn't offer to do the same to the negative people in his life.

And like I mentioned, Stellar would be fantastic at snapping Marinette out of her anxiety spirals, but I also think he'd do well at helping her keep on top of things. He'd do well at reminding her of plans she made and what was coming up, and do well at keep her from over scheduling or pushing herself beyond what she's able to handle at a moment. I also think Stellar would really just enjoy being apart of Marinette's life, with all the substance and emotion and sometimes just pure chaos and creation. While he wouldn't necessary be directly involved with it all, I think he would just really appreciate all the depth and aspects that come from being around it.

Only ones I created with the Wishmakers concept in mind so far have been Stella (Amber’s firefly fae), Silky (spider fae from Double Major’s 3rd chapter), and also the versions of the cat and ladybug that Nathan and Alya got in Double Major.

I think Silky would’ve been very excitable, being born out of a desire to be listened and payed attention to, she’s basically the best audience you could ask for. Being a great listener and having great pointers to give. She really liked Paulo (their Wishmaker) and I like to think they still visit him even though they’re not contract-bound anymore. (and funfact: her design was inspired by some of the spiders in Hollow Knight! The head shape I took directly from Hornet, lmao).

Stella, I haven’t had the time to think about much, but I think he’d be as much of a shit-stirrer as Amber. Except, while she’s more involved in rumors and gossip, actively spreading them up herself, he’s more of an observer who likes to watch shit’s go down who’ll occasionally flash a light on a particular detail to see what happens.

I’m still brainstorming on Plugg and Takki, and how seriously I want to take them is still in question, lol. I think Plugg is more electricity than destruction, though, and Takki is definitely spicy

Miraculous Guardian!Nathaniel AU (For artzychic27)

This was an idea of mine for an AU where Nathaniel is training for to be a miraculous guardian, and after reading Scarlet Warlock inspired me to see Nathaniel as a guardian of a different miraculous box. Enjoy!

For many generations, the Scarlet Warlock Nicolas Kress and his descendants have watched and protected the coven miraculous box.

Cut to modern day, about few months or so before Canon, Nathaniel Kurtzberg is coming home from a rather rough day from school on the anniversary of his father's passing. When he arrives home, he notices a dark colored box with somewhat arcane markings on it that 

When he touches the box, he accidentally releases what he thinks are a bunch of animal-based ghosts but are really just kwamis of the coven miraculous box.

Screech, the bat Kwami of knowledge, tells Nathaniel that he is the descendant of Nicolas Kress, the Scarlet Warlock, and the next guardian to be of the coven box. Screech also mentions that Nathaniel's father was the previous guardian.

Kwamis of the coven miraculous box include Screech (a bat), Luna (a wolf kwami of leadership) Faate (a black widow spider kwami of fate), Wiisp (a firefly kwami of guidance), Lokii (raven kwami), Slypph (Owl Kwami), and a few others kwamis that includes a frog, a different snake, and a scorpion, etc.

At some point a month after opening the box Fu discovers who is protecting the coven box and takes Nathaniel under his wing. The two agree for Nathaniel to assist from the shadows when the time comes for the chosen Ladybug and Black Cat users to be picked.

Canon happens where Marinette and Adrien become Ladybug and Cat Noir, except Nathaniel is just helping with damage control.

Juleka at some point discovers Nathaniel's identity, and is given the Raven Kwami as a partner later on because it fit and she has a heroine identity as Lady Nevermore.

Most if not all of Ms. Mendelieve's class gets coven box kwamis, effectively.

So, given the fact you've included a firefly and greyhound miraculous, does that mean you'll be removing the idea of the miraculous being tied to a specific region or culture (which personally I think is for the best)?

First of all, thank you for the ask! It means a lot to me that someone wants to know about this story!

I should probably clear one thing up: there isn’t a greyhound miraculous. It’s still the dog miraculous, only with more range in costume colors (depending on the breed the holder wants to represent) and a different power (switched from Fetch to a healing ability known as Primary Care) because it fit better with both of Felix and Barkk’s respective characters/storylines. I wasn’t exactly clear with the wording on the original post though, so I understand the confusion.

As for the concept of regional Kwami, they were sorted and placed in Miracle Boxes all around the world by the Guardians. These boxes vary in number and status of Kwami depending on the region (a heavily populated area with a more volatile history will likely get a larger Miracle Box than a sparsely populated, predominantly peaceful region).

In addition, the strongest box on a given continent is known as a Continental Miracle Box (an obvious name, I know). A majority of the Kwami that appear in MTS (barring the world specials) are from Asia’s Continental Miracle Box (also known as the Celestial Miracle Box), which is the oldest and most powerful of all the Miracle Boxes (because it would be damaging to the plot of the show to have other Kwami who can alter the fabric of reality).

In regard to the FIrely Kwami, they actually are a member of the Celestial Miracle Box; However, Nooroo, Duusu, and Trix are all apart of the European Continental Miracle Box rather than the Celestial one for story reasons.

Basically yes, though solely the physical aspect of existence/nonexistence (alongside Creation & Destruction). The more spiritual aspects of existence would go to Order & Chaos and Life & Death.

Hi! Idk if the kwamies are just for fun or what, but I got the curage (and maybe it's fun) to list what my ideas (for my head"cannon" Miraculouses 😁)

Zebra - equalization, can turn things into their opposite

Llama - commitment, can shoot energy-spit and link the user to the target

Snail - syncronization, the user can sync with targets and control their moves, eithet making them mimic his movements or moving them like a hivemind, working to achive a goal. It also works backword, so othets can control the user's movements (this way it can learn techniques the other can do)

Hedgehog - so far, having pocket dimension to hide or trap othets, maybe change it later...

Pidgeon - generalization. The owner can make itself "unrecogniseable", meaning despite being a person in pidgeon costume, you can't recognise it, simply blends in (you only can spot them if you looking for something very-very specific about them)

Antelope - intention. If the user touches you with it's two horned stick you start to do whatever idea you currently head, even if it's crazy or unlikely to have any succes, the target starts it enthusiasticly

Rhino - potential. The user can "suck" the potential energy from things, making them living "object-magnet" atracting everything, even if it means an unpleasant crush... The user also can charge object with it, making them fly

Firefly - transition. Can become living energy, moving thing and even empovering machines. Literal force

Kangaroo - swich. Can swiching placement of object with limited range

Has no red panda (yet!)😅

Capybara - relaxation. The user simply can others feel good, whatever happening to them

Rattlesnake - avareness. Having bracelet with a campus like rattle-pointer which shows where a previously marked object is

Giraffe - exhaltion (stolen, since they modified the tiger to elation😁) choosing any ability, the user becomes the bes-best in it (like being humanly in the Guinise record book for it, and turn it up by Miraculous -holder standards)

Hippo - overprotection/motherly care (something along those line) can create a bubble where the target just sleeps and floats. This bubble saves the target very well, but not all-proof

Sloth - procrestination. Every time the target would like to do something, manipulates fate to do something (like, insted of taking Miraculous away, goes on for personal revenge (also gains litteral weight to arms and legs)

No racoon or beaver yet

Donkey - humblenes. With a whip, can make the target obey instractions of thr user and behave foolish

Coala - influence. Gives power to do whatever you wish, but limited very much how much support and love does the holder has from the sorrunding peaple...

I hope you like them or find some of them funny, there are many more, some of these even have "pairs" (won't grant wish, but opposite concepts, like LB and CN's), but I like these, hope you to, but I gladly reading your feedback on these as well 😁.

They are just for fun but I don't think I would mind adding them if I got an idea for the miraculous and a weapon.

I already have a power for the zebra, anyone who sees them would get vertigo.

Ooh, so like a tracker I like that. They would spit on them and the spit would always be visible to the user. It could wear off over time, I really like this power.

That's really interesting, kinda reminds me of Martyr (black cat) and Mimic (wolf).

My original thought for the racoon was that they can steal powers, like the butterfly now. But that was when the layers didn't exist. For the beaver, I like the power that @randypelow suggested, the holder pulls objects to make a dome (like a knock-off Shellter).

The donkey was one of the oldest kwamis I had, he was made with Inn and I¨m pretty sure he was the only one who had a power from the set xd. The concept was Adaptation (or versatility at first) and the holder could change the suits to fit the situation, basically like the power-ups. But then I gave that power to the octopus and then I removed it xd. What you suggested seems kinda tricky to me I would have to think about it more.

So like the canon eagle or just a big amount of confidence?

Fanfic Recs For Completed Lovesquare AU Miraculous Fics in 2023

By AU, I'm talking ones with a totally different setting, not just like a canon divergence AU. I'm thinking like Fantasy AUs, Sci-fi AUs, Royalty AUs, that sort of thing.

This is an incredibly well-written folk tale, one that I highly recommend anyone who loves mythological, folktale, fantasy, etc AUs for Adrienette to read! It’s on the shorter side, but woven so perfectly that it packs an outsized punch, and feels like it belongs in one of those collections of folk tales and myths I read as a kid! 

Adrien’s a god, gifting prosperity to those under his protection, but never interacting with them… until a farm girl catches his eye.

That’s all you get. Now, let’s get back to planning, shall we? We have a mermaid to beat.”

Lovely world-building here! Merfolk and humans have had a treaty for a long time, so there’s a tradition where merfolk can challenge humans to a race, and whoever wins gets to ask for a reasonable sort of reward (in Marinette’s case, she wants to be allowed to captain a ship at a younger age than is usually allowed). Alya, Nino, and Adrien are naturally very encouraging towards Marinette, and luckily for her, a nice merman going by the name of Chat Noir shows up and challenges her to a race…

Yeah you can see where this is going XD. It’s fun, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Marinette’s plotting to overthrow the corrupt monarch, as the French tend to do. She doesn’t know King Adrien all that well, since he just ascended to the throne recently, but she’s certain that he’s just as bad as his father.

Of course, rebellion’s aren’t very effective without help, so after biting her tongue with the new king, she rants to her partner in crime, a man whose true name and face she does not know, but who she deeply trusts nonetheless: Chat Noir.

Truly, he would’ve been the perfect candidate to be snatched up by a kwami, were he an orphan, dying somewhere remote after a short life full of nothing but suffering and misery. Yet as it stood, the sole heir to the French throne had little to complain about. Apart from, perhaps, a complete absence of a love life. That is until a mysterious girl, wandering around his gardens at night, catches his attention.

I love Fantasy AUs. It’s a bit unclear what’s happening at first, but it all gets explained in the last chapter. Also don’t worry about the age gap between Marinette and Adrien at the start of the story, I promise it’s not a problem in the end.

Ah, Fantasy Soulmate AUs, my beloved XD. This ain’t the only one of this fic type I’m gonna be recommending. This is just a cute fluff fic without much strife. I love Marinette and Chat Noir being able to be childhood friends via his visits, even if he has to pretend to be her cat whenever he comes over, and I ESPECIALLY adore Alya being his chaperone and quickly becoming friends with Marinette in her own right. It ain’t a complicated plot, but it is a nice and warm fic.

winters were hard for even the best of vampires, but at least adrien had marinette to keep him warm with her cuddles. december was going to suck without her. so it was only to be expected to get extra cuddles in before she left, right? (well, not really, considering those heating supplements he was taking, but she didn’t need to know about that).

This one’s mostly just cute cuddly adorableness! It’s basically like all those “Marinette gets the Ladybug trait of needing to cuddle up to someone for warmth”, but with Adrien instead. And of course featuring Marinette being a very talented witch who just wants to help Adrien stay warm when she isn’t there XD.

Stitch Witch Marinette was just supposed to be having a nice, terrifying outing with her best friends. She never expected to find a magically trapped kitten, but here we are! Whatever happened to this poor little guy?

Poor Adrien, being transformed and chained up for ages, having no idea that he was gonna be rescued. But at least he got to have fun at Marinette’s place as a cat! 

Most of this fic is adorable, though with some dark undertones lying in wait. After all, SOMEONE chained up that poor little kitty…

Dreams had long been his only escape. Dreams of Ladybug, the girl who had always been there for him.

If only in his dreams. And only while she was also sleeping.

Because with the first rays of sunshine gliding over her skin, with the first fluttering of her eyelashes, from the moment she opened her eyes in the morning, memories of Adrien would vanish from her mind.

She would go on living her life.

He would always be the only one who remembered.

At least until they meet in the real world and fall in love all over again, something that would’ve been easier to do if Adrien wasn't a prisoner in his own home.

Chocoluckchipz has some of the most beautifully executed lovesquare fics I’ve read, and this is no exception. Most of the fic is dedicated to Adrien wooing Marinette, spending time with her, with her own dream self acting as his wingman, giving her tips on how to get her to fall for him, all the while frustrated that she can’t share memories with her waking self, and that she and Adrien can’t share as much information as they’d like while asleep, due to limitations of the “curse” that allows Adrien to share dreams with his soulmate. 

It’s not all cute Adrienette fluff though. There’s a threat in the background waiting to erupt, as the weirdness of Gabriel’s ultimatum to Adrien about finding Ladybug or else being forced to marry Lila keeps on gnawing at him - and with good reason. This is a world with magic and kwamis still, and that fact makes itself very relevant in the last third of the story. 

It’s a well-written tale and very much worth a read!

When Marinette finds a wanted ad that provokes just enough questions in her mind that she can’t help answering it, the reward is sweeter than she could have imagined.

I love the little bit of worldbuilding we get here about vampire society, and Adrien’s usual awkward adorableness in asking Marinette for a certain necessary favor. It’s always neat to see such familiar characterization in a supernatural setting like this.

quick doodle of my lil Firefly kwami since the last image i have decided that their name is Rave as well as came up with some info on the powers they bring all of the abilities are Musical Based because I was imagining Amvs while coming up with the ideas. There are 3 difference actions that you could do Sing Dance or summon/play a musical instrument The user has the ability to summon Weapons that resemble musical instruments and each and every instrument has a different effect when played. Sofar this is what I have planned Electric guitar:

The Electric guitar can summon a different aray of effects dependent on the tune. Tune 1. a dome that will surround the user and opponent within once the dome snaps in place the sky will go dark for them. Tune 2. thin rays of light will begin to zip around until it forms a tile grid. In tern created a magical dance floor beneath them. Within ever step on a tile flooring the corresponding tile on the opposing side will light up, causing damage to betaken. Tune 3. will summon a giant lightning bug shaped spotlight to shine down an aray of different colors upon the desired person to cause confusion Ukulele: This instrument has a calming effect on the user and opponent when played

Dancing: Dependent on the foot work- it can summon magical tap dancing shoes which may or may not set your feet on fire when used Singing and dance: When singing, magical music notes will begin to line up around the opponent From then on with every movement you make the Music note will his the opponent in a way that makes them mimic the user's actions You must dance in order to defeat them. Headbanging: Dependent on weather or not the singing ability in enabled or not, headbanging can cause a very different effect Headbanging can cause the user's hair to be set ablaze when done exaggerated or can create magical symbols/drums that will play loudly around the opponent to cause their senses to become overwhelmed from the noise.

I just had a horrible thought about the developments of Seasons 5 and a potential development for future seasons. Big spoilers obviously, including the finale.

You know how in Emotion, Felix couldn't bring Marinette back because Marinette was dispelled as Ladybug and thus Marinette couldn't be "located" (and also how that would indirectly reveal Marinette as Ladybug if Ladybug were brought back and it was stressed that kwamis can't counter magic regarding their holder's identities)? We also know Lila knows all of Gabriel's secrets, and even if she doesn't, Tomoe still does. So basically, there are bad people who know Adrien is a sentimonster, but do not know he's Cat Noir.

Now imagine if somehow, the bad guys to do get ahold of even one of the rings and Adrien finds out he's a sentimonster. When he learns he is magically compelled to obey the wishes of the holder of the ring, he does have one recourse. One that he hates because it means he'll have to go into isolation.

He has to be Cat Noir full-time and abandon his life as Adrien.

We already saw Ladybug attempt this as a coping mechanism, but with Cat Noir, it would be for his own survival. Best of all, since he "grew up" he does not have to transform back...but he knows he can't except to give Plagg a rest, but he can't really be safe in Paris because everyone still knows who he is and he'll light up social media like a firefly if he appears. So he's going to be Cat Noir all the time, and the stress of not being able to to reach out to his friends will get to him...and then a black butterfly comes his way...

Bonus points if Felix steps in to fill his cousin's shoes because he can't sense the full amok on Adrien or just notices a ring is missing.

It's just a thought.
