Here is a little update photo comparison! Top photo is back in December (9.2lbs) and bottom photo is today (10.8lbs). It’s amazing to see all the progress he has made! I’m so proud of him, and myself if I’m being honest. This has been absolute hell, but I have remained strong so I could fight for Salem to have an amazing life. We are so close to being done. Originally his treatment got extended for 2 weeks and I went in today for his follow up blood work. His treatment was extended because his globulin levels were still a bit too high (5.6). When cats enter observation they should have globulin levels below 5, or at least that’s what I’ve come to understand. With that 2 week extension, his dosage went up as well. I’m feeling really good about it today. I feel almost certain that we will be cleared for observation tomorrow.

Hi all!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is Kira. He is seven months old and he was diagnosed with FIP last week. I thought he had an upper respiratory infection and was not expecting this diagnosis. FIP is very fatal if left untreated and he’s currently receiving pills for it. He has ocular symptoms as well which means he needs a higher dosage. I am at a loss because I love him so much and unfortunately I am struggling with getting him his meds. He needs meds for 84 days and I was only able to get him enough for ten more days. Treatment is costing about $500 a week and I’m trying to fundraise as much as I can. I have high hopes for this little one and I’m hoping that this can reach people. Thank you so much for reading this, I appreciate any help.

My Teddy is just on two and half years old now, and this was him as a wee baby boy. At around 8 months of age he was disagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). Once it would have been a death sentence but perhaps the only positive of COVID was the discovery of an anti-viral called Remdesivir. It was a hard decision: it was either put my little boy to sleep or spend thousands on treating him, with a 90% chance of success. I couldn't look at this little face and kill him just over money.
So we went on the journey together, me and my little FIP warrior. He almost died before we confirmed what it was and after that it was a daily battle. But he is now a solid 4.5kg Persian who tells me when he wants his lunch, so different from the little frail skinny thing I had to feed Royal Canin Recovery mousse into with a syringe, one little feed at a time.
I'm just saluting all those others out there who took the Path of the Warrior and hope all of you had a successful battle. And my deepest sympathy to those who didn't. They have to know you cared enough to try.

It's been about 2 weeks since anyone donated, and we could really use the help. We're already 1/4 of the way there, please help spread this around !
Hey friends! My fur nephew (aka my sister's cat) is just about the sweetest little bundle of joy I've ever met in my life. He was recently diagnosed with FIP, a fatal disease that has affected him neurologically. It inhibits his ability to gain weight, walk, and use the litter box, among other things. This little guy is a fighter, though, and he has started a non FDA approved treatment trial that has a 90% success rate. Because of the lack of FDA funding for this medication, the cost is very expensive and hard to access. After just a few days of treatment, this little man has shown remarkable improvement, and we are asking anyone who might be willing to donate to his go fund me and help spread it around! Every penny, like, share, and reblog helps to share his story. We’re trying for a miracle, and Bucky is fighting hard!! Thank you for reading, and please please share 🙏

Posted @withregram • @black_cat_crew Please read. Please help. Please share. Please send some love to little Eeyore #bcc_adoptblackcats . Repost @catsofbeautifultogether @beautifultogethersanctuary Meet Eeyore she is fighting to beat FIP and we need financial help to be able to continue to get her the medication that she needs. See my link tree in bio to donate Here is her story- she was born in a small rural shelter in NC. Her mom was too sick to care for her, so the shelter employees places her with another nursing mom. Beautiful Together Animal Sanctuary pulled both mom cats and all 6 babies about a week after delivery. The battle for survival began once we got them with a medical foster. Both moms were sick, babies were small and sick. Using bottle feeding and both moms we started to help everyone. Sadly within about two weeks we lost one baby and then a week later we lost another. The 4 remaining babies began to grow but all continued to battle some illness or another. In September I brought them back to my house as 2 of the four were not growing at the right rate. Quickly it became obvious that Piglet was not well. Testing revealed suspected FIP and we lost her 4 days later. About 2 weeks after that Tigger got a fever and started to decline. Her belly filled with fluid and during a vet visit she went into respiratory distress and we heartbreakingly decided to let her go. Roo and Eeyore were doing great and growing. Roo is in fact with his furever family growing and doing great. 2 weeks ago Eeyore began to lose weight, stopped eating and started stumbling. We couldn't lose another from this litter and so we reached out for help to get treatment. Within 24 hours her walking got better and wishing 48 she was interested in food. This treatment is 12 weeks and it will save her life but it is expensive. Can you help? #fipcats #rescuecats https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm-pLJ9LFAx/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

normally I would not ask for such a thing. Please donate to save my cat. she has wet fip, which is a 100% death sentence without this medicine and treatment. The treatment has a 99% success rate. she deserves a happy healthy life. you don't have to do it for me but do it for her. her name is nova. she is only 12 weeks old. If you can't donate, please share this and repost
*I'm going to add other tags, this is so important to me*

Please donate if you can, any amount helps, and boost this. It’s urgent
I’m not Isabella, but I’ve been trying to figure something out for Wolfie and his amazing mom whom I am very close with (irl) and this is what we’ve got.
I’ve been on Tumblr for 6 years and I’ve never made a post like this before, and I hope I never have to again. I had the pleasure of meeting Wolfie on November 10th and he seemed fine, but about a week later he started acting off. He was diagnosed with FIP on the 21st, (I’m posting this on the 23rd), and he is a huge sweetheart. The kind of cat that you would see in some garbage Hallmark movie, inexplicably saving Christmas with all the love and joy he brings others.
FIP is a mutated strain of an otherwise relatively harmless virus. It is fatal, and aside from identifying it, vets can only treat some symptoms—it’s not understood at all and it’s fast. Once symptoms start showing, life expectancy is generally less than a month. But there is basically a MIRACLE drug out there that hasn’t been approved for regular usage yet that can be bought for a lot of money. If you’re able, please, please donate, you’ll have our eternal gratitude. On October 21st, I made this incredibly stupid meme of him and my dog, Kodah.
Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Hi everyone,
My cat Salem was diagnosed with FIP on November 21 2022 and I began his treatment on November 22 2022. As of last night, I am halfway through his treatment! It has been a wild 44 days and I’ve been documenting my experience throughout these last 44 days. I’ve missed a few days of journal entries here and there, especially in the beginning when I was really overwhelmed. I decided to document my experience so I could share it with other pet parents who have kitties with FIP and hopefully help them not feel so alone. Since I’m starting this blog halfway through his treatment I’m still trying to figure out how I want to go about posting everything. I plan on having different posts with information on what to expect, supplies, logs, and other tips and tricks I’ve learned along the way. I also plan on sharing my journal entries with you guys too. I’ll probably post a couple entries at a time to catch up. I’ll also include the dates that I wrote the entries so that it will be easier to follow.
This situation has really awakened something in me. My main goal here is to share information to help others going through the same thing with the intention of one day being able to do something to make a difference within the FIP community. This has been such a difficult experience for me, so I want to do whatever I can to help make it less difficult for others in the future. Whether that be raising money to donate to FIP research or just simply raising awareness.
If you have recently received an FIP diagnosis for your kitty, I’m truly sorry. You are not alone and you will get through this. If you’re just starting out treatment, I’m not going to lie, it will be a difficult journey. But once your kitty starts feeling better, once they start playing and eating again, it will all be worth it.
