OH MY GOD. YES. OKAY. you just opened pandora’s box you have no clue. (btw most of this is based on my tattoo au although a lot of this stuff is just stuff i have connected to davey no matter the au)

okay. so. my davey is a high school english teacher and i think something that makes him really upset is when he sees his good students start skipping, not paying attention, etc. while i don’t think this would make him tick per say, i do think it would def make him anxious and on edge. he would absolutely come home and rant to jack about how he doesn’t know what he’s doing wrong and how he’s worried about them and how he wishes he can do more but all he is an english teacher. (and jack would assure him that he’s doing more than enough and just being there and noticing these things is all some kids need) (but davey would def pull them aside in class and just talk to them like they’re humans bc he knows some teachers treat their students as children and they hate that. so he will just talk and try to pick their brains and help them in literally whatever way he can)

MUSIC. okay so davey definitely tries a TON of different genres simply because he is curious and he wants to hear it all. (he wants to experience every bit of life that he can and that includes different genres of music.) at the end of the day tho he’s a slut for sad queer indie pop: hozier, lucy dacus, and kevin atwater are his favs. (i could go on a whole different rant about how davey coded some of kevin atwater’s songs are but i’ll refrain for now.) he grew up listening to billy joel and still listens to him when he’s feeling particularly nostalgic or homesick. the album “the stranger” is one of his favorites in the entire world. his parents had it on record, and one year in middle school for his birthday he was gifted a record player, so he was playing that shit NONSTOP. to read to, to study to, to hangout to, etc. les used to come and sit in davey's room while he was doing domestic tasks, like cleaning or homework, so les now has attached that album to davey. (they get a tattoo for vienna, their fav song on the album—davey gets “slow down, you’re doing fine” on his left forearm and les gets “you can’t be everything you wanna be before your time” on his right forearm) (done by jack of course)

jack listens to more alternative stuff, and although it’s not something davey listens to on his own, he finds himself humming along to the pierce the veil and green day songs on jack’s playlist 

as far as hobbies and stuff, obviously he reads. he’s always been an avid reader because he loves to get lost in other worlds and he likes to learn about things that he otherwise wouldn’t have had the opportunity to. he gets into reading slumps around midterms and finals because he’s grading sooooo many papers but like as SOON as that’s over he falls back into finishing a novel in a couple days and he absolutely loves it. it’s just so… refreshing in a way. (sometimes, when he’s particularly missing jack, he’ll go and just sit at the tattoo shop and read. he’s content to simply be in the same space with jack and he also loves sneaking glimpses of jack working.)

he also absolutely loves to cook. he grew up often helping his mother in the kitchen, so he’s sort of always loved it. once he moved out and began living by himself he found a whole new appreciation for it. it’s his way to decompress at the end of the day and … in a way food is his language?? like he will make meals based on what he’s feeling. if he’s really happy he doesn’t mind making something that takes a while. it’ll be bright and fresh. if he’s had a particularly rough day though, he’ll throw something frozen in the oven and call it a day. (over time, jack slowly realizes this, and can gauge what davey needs based on what he says they’re having for dinner. for example; if davey’s just making something frozen, jack will give him an extra long hug and force him to take a hot shower in order to relax. jack often takes over “cooking” on these days)

don’t even play on his animal crossing island. he likes the domestic video games with goals that he can take at any speed simply because they’re relaxing and cozy. he loves making his island all organized and pretty 

meanwhile jack is like begging for the switch to play mario kart

Aww this is cute and fun! Aside from my partner, friends, and family, here are 5 things that make me happy:

1. Playing Video Games

Current favs include: Starfield, Pokemon Scarlet, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, Prehistoric Kingdom, and I need to find the time to mod the shit out of Fallout: New Vegas because I never finished all the DLC and that game is 🤌

2. Live Music/Listening to Music

I especially love Rock, Metal, and Pop Punk/Punk. Currently listening to Sleep Token, Ghost, July Talk, Mother Mother, Bring me the Horizon, Bleachers, and Falling in Reverse.

3. Tattoos

I think they're hot; having highly personal art displayed on your body? Sign me up. I only have two right now, with one being updated early Feb, but I'm planning on getting more. Budget is obviously a factor as well as carefully planning what I want and where I want it.

4. Good Food

I love gathering with friends and family and enjoying good food, drinks, and conversation. Food builds connections with others, helps ease difficult discussions, helps people fall in love or build friendships, and more.

5. Art

Is it a cop out to put something so general as Art? Maybe. I was going to put "writing" but I have a complex relationship with it, as I do it for pleasure and also for work, so sometimes I'm unsure if it makes me happy or if I'm just compelled to do it. Aside from writing, I love sewing. I mainly make bags, because I love a good bag. But I don't sew as often as I want. Viewing other people's art makes me happy.

i answered this question here and talked about sasazuka but i have a million blorbos and i will talk about them endlessly. today i want to talk about solomon from obey me. my silly, ridiculous, shady wizard man. i love him. here is a small collection of some of my fav pics of him (incredibly limited for space).

i do sort of feel like a fake fan bc i didn't actually like solomon all that much when i started playing og. in my early ten pulls i got the solomon new years ur+ card and i just did not like him. i thought he was weird and was irritated i got him instead of a demon brother, so for all of og season 1 and at the beginning of season 2 i disliked him. my memory gets a little blurry here in the timeline, but i think i finished season 2 of og and warmed up to him a tad bit, then nightbringer came out and i became a simp.

my feelings about solomon are complex even to this day. i really find him and his character interesting because of the dubious nature he has. he's this cutesy wizard guy who is a simp for mc, but he's also a very dangerous figure that has waged war against the devildom, is the most powerful human sorcerer in history, and is prone to incredibly selfish bouts of behavior at the expense of others (although, never really at mc's expense). i really really like how he's handled at the end of og season 2, where he's absolutely willing to kill lucifer without much of a second thought to save the realms but cannot bring himself to do something that would upset you. fascinating! i think his character is at its best when it's handled with these multiple layers of nuance.

in terms of headcanons, i have lots, but i'll share three that are currently on my mind:

i am incredibly fond of the headcanon that solomon, in his youth, had a more olive skin tone and dark brown hair that faded over time with his magic and immortality. SCREAM!!! it's so incredibly jack frost and so incredibly interesting. not only is the image so attractive, but there's something so angsty about it too. solomon feels his humanity has been altered by the immortality he now has, and clings to human connection to remind himself who he is. i think it's so interesting to think about the image of him watching the life seeming drain from him over time. it very much mirrors asmo's fears of not recognizing himself after falling in nightbringer and i think it's delicious.

PACT MARKS!!!!!!!!!! oh my god solomon is covered in pact marks and you can't change my mind. i simply refuse a canon where he isn't. i don't give a single shit. part of my solomon simp arc was heavily spurred on by this fanart floating around, originally posted by @/angyedfez on twitter. jeeeeeeesus. oh my god look at him. i need him so badly.

and an nsfw headcanon because i'm in a mood today ig...

solomon is such a desperate lover. he never thought he'd be able to get his hands on you, to let this love building in him manifest in a way where he can freely press his lips against yours, run his scarred palms against your skin, feel the heat of your body against his chest, anything to tattoo this moment into his mind every single time he has you with him. he prefers any position that has you facing him. solomon wants to cover your body with his and just be as close to you as physically possible, to tangle legs and limbs until neither of you know where the other begins or ends. pushing even just the tip of his cock in has him resisting the urge to roll his eyes back in his head and groan like it's the first time all over again. he's so obsessed with you and your warmth and he'll fuck you far past the point of exhaustion just so he can keep memorizing everything about you.

hi hi!! i love to yap so you have asked a dangerous question!! i do have a whole page of my fandoms on my carrd but i'm gonna try to sell you and my followers on some of my more niche ones rn lol

baldur's gate 3 has some of the most compelling characters of any video game i've ever played. i will admit, it isn't a game for people who don't love games, it can take like a minimum of 80 hours to finish the game, it's kind of difficult, and it's all based on dnd so the combat and stuff might be confusing for people, but the ROMANCE and friendships and characters are so fucking incredible. i have only actually romanced astarion but shhh.

barry is a t.v. show on max that i think is one of the greatest shows ever made, and not just because i have a huge crush on bill hader who writes, directs, produces, and stars in it. it's a dark comedy about a hitman who hates his job and wants to become an actor instead. there's a great gay couple (i will not lie and say they have a happy story though) and one of the best written female characters ever imo. it's a star-studded cast, 4 seasons, but the episodes are only 20-30 mins so it goes by fast. if you don't mind violence, this is genuinely a 10/10 piece of media for me.

death note is my favorite anime of all time, one of my top fav shows, and i have a manga panel from it tattooed on me. it's a masterpiece that mixes supernatural horror, crime-solving detective drama, insane homoeroticism, and existential/moral dilemma. it's not very long and people say it gets bad after a certain episode and i genuinely wish all those people a very get well soon because are you kidding me??? i think it's a great intro to anime.

saltburn was such a good fucking movie and i know you've probably seen the memes and everyone talking, but i genuinely loved this movie and would love to write a felix/oliver fic lol. it's pretty disturbing and has a lot of things that the average viewer would be freaked out by, but i am genuinely not that shocked/grossed out by most things in media so i just love this movie, i gave it 5/5 on letterboxd and so did my partner.

the great is a show on hulu that is a historical comedy (that is self-admittedly not historically accurate, so if that would annoy you, this one's not for you!!) about catherine the great, empress of russia, and it is genuinely one of my favorite shows ever. it's got incredible female characters, some pretty good queer rep, doesn't use the time period/country as an excuse to not have representation. it is so funny, heart-breaking, sexy, and just so goddamn good. it did unfortunately get cancelled after season 3 but i think they knew it would be cancelled and left it off in a decent place (from the spoilers i know at least, i'm still watching). there is a lot of vulgar content (sex, sexual humor, gross humor, swearing) so if that's not your vibe, don't even bother, lol, but if you like enemies-to-lovers, period dramas, or watching elle fanning act like a fucking psychopath, plz watch and then talk to me about headcanons.

Ummm I feel like I should put something about my traveling… the only time I’ve ever flown confirmed on the airline I work for was when we won airline of the year and the airline gifted all its employees two round trip tickets confirmed to wherever you wanted to go. I asked my new boyfriend of 5 months (current husband) if he wanted to go to Hawaii with me, because why not, and his mother told his entire family we were getting engaged… we got engaged later that year

566 is a number I've used for quite a few years for my socials as it combines my birth month (5) and year (06) and with and added 6 I think was for my PS4 user needed an extra character

Was a barista but recently left to focus on my exams and in the process of finding another job that can hopefully carry on while at uni

4. If you could go back to school, would you?

I've just finished school, so no... I might change my mind later though

Honestly idk. Maybe but it could be cool if they are real, I guess

Yeah, do the New York Times connections and mini crossword everyday, but I don't really like wordle cause my spelling is shit

Go between both, more coffee in the morning and tea more evening/night

I think I wanted to do what my dad does which is tech sales, also think a pro cyclist was up there as well

Any of the star wars movies, especially ep 3, 5 or rogue one, also love le mans 66 and the Christian Bale Batman's

NO... no! They are not making ANOTHER The Crow remake in fucking 2024!!

As if the other 3 movies & weird series weren't already enough?? The original movie is one of my favs (+ the comics). That's why people showered me with all the other movies too, thinking I might be interested in them. Couldn't even finish movie 4 because it was so dumb. The second movie was still okayish. Can't remember the third. The series was kinda low budged fantasy crime drama version but had it's charm.

Seeing the trailer of the remake.... they could at least make it another part in the universe (different characters) and not a REMAKE (same characters redesigned). This new one looks more like a sci-fi Joker movie... They didn't even give Eric his long hair... my siblings in hell, he is/was literally in a rock band! That's part of his character!

Now to this face tattooed Suicide Squad Joker version of him... they really make this into this generic modern overused super-anti-hero version...... He looks like he's into gangster rap now and fresh out of jail.

Another thing that bothers me with ALL the parts that come after the original... the makeup choice is such a PERSONAL choice for Eric Draven. It is based on a harlequin mask he joked around with his fiancé. But every other following The Crow main character got this make up too which doesn't make sense!

At least it looks like they are trying to get closer to the comic version now with the remake. There is a skeleton cowboy in the comics that never made it into the movies. He explains the rules and connection with the crow. They seem to have that character now in the new movie... but he's not a skeleton in this movie either... just some dude. It would have been more compelling, if it was all different characters in the same universe, like they did with the other movies at least.

THE ONLY inspired by The Crow story I like is the book "The Crow: The Lazarus Heart" by Poppy Z. Brite. It's about a gay couple, where one of them got killed by a serial killer and the other (who was a SM photographer) got wrongfully sentenced to death for this crime on his boyfriend. He then gets resurrected by the crow and takes revenge and solves the crime. If they would make THAT book into a movie I would be so here for it. But people would freak out that they make The Crow woke now... even though that book is from 1998 (btw written by a transman as I found out now!)
