Things have been a little rough for me these past couple of months, so I’m really glad your prompt gave me a reason to turn all that overthinking about life, death and everything else in between into this painting. I hope it gives you a feeling of kindness, peace and comfort — the same kind we get with Heavy and Medic, or Medic and his doves.

May all of you too carry these gentle feelings into the year ahead, and props once again to the awesome @ask-pocket-pyro for organising this @tf2-secret-santa event.

I never leave the house without a note book for this very reason.

Also you get weirdly specific about your preferences after a while. I'm hoping it's not just me

My ideal notebook is A5, not spiral bound, preferably 6mm lined and at least 90 pages. I exclusively use black fineliner pens, 0.1mm or 0.3mm if I can get them, because they look nice and aren't as bulky.

I have different notebooks for different wips but they tend to get mixed up anyway. I go through them fast.

so here's this on this:

handwriting has been good! it's been nice to carry around a notebook which I can jot little bits of writing in here and there whenever

it's not as much pressure as going to my laptop and making a whole Event out of writing. it's nice to write a few paragraphs at work in between jobs or while I am rugged up in blankets on the couch and et cetera so on so forth. I feel more productive but in a healthy way that feels good and not a stressful way that feels like I'm forcing it

it's easier to get into a flow and rhythm

also I tapped into an "oh this is really nice and freeing" thing bc apparently I'm always subconsciously running off a constant general paranoia background hum and the idea that other people can remotely watch my computer screen and see what I'm doing which is so not a thing I realised I had going on until I suddenly didn't have that going on

and look that's something that probably could do with some addressing but at the same time like. meh. what else is new

plus, handwriting takes away the pressure to immediately go back and edit and rewrite things and struggle over The Right Words And Order until they're perfect

plus, pretty pens with nice flowy ink

all in all: it's good, it's nice, it's good and nice
