I actually had a college professor call me by the wrong last name for semester because he thought my "r" was an "i." (Baines instead of Barnes.) I like this quote, though, as one of the harder lessons of adult life that I learned and managed to sneak into this book. 😊 Caroline’s mother is saying this to her toward the end. Basically, you can’t always know if you’re going to regret something ahead of time. Basically it’s about a girl who realizes that she needs to make a change in her life, but she doesn’t know how.
