He really has grown, hasn't he? Or maybe just opened up. In the beginning of the series I would have never in a million years imagined him apologizing sincerely to Amelia like this.

On the other hand he was very kind to her when he first cured her malnomen but some of that felt like part of his charming facade? Or maybe we just focused so much on what a gremlin he turned out to be that we forgot he's shown that level of care.

actually I love the sound design in tmagp, I know it's harder to understand for some and that can be bothersome, but the ambiance is great, and it feels more voyeuristic that way than the tma tapes
