Just a hypothical, had lucifer's creation process/birth failed how would things have turned out?

this is interesting to me as an idea because i mentioned it before, but there appears to be a noticeable shift in god's demeanor between testament iii and testament iv. the first three testaments are bitter, angry, showing a god that is displeased by his creations and wishing ruin upon them, shifting the blame to be their failure of him when they cannot follow his law. he curses and damns them for their free will leading to disobedience and at most he admits that hell is now out of his control, though it comes with the implication that humanity has damned themselves to this eternal suffering as though they forced his hand. however, when we reach the fourth testament, which features lucifer's questioning and subsequent banishment, god now fully blames himself. he speaks of his guilt consuming him and how he weeps after lucifer's loss, which is. strikingly different from the previous entries. this tone carries into the following testament, where god is now in so much pain he's seeking to end his existence because he's unable to live with all he's done...so i have to wonder what lucifer meant to him. how did his concerns so alter god, a god that had been so furious with his creations now changed to be so consumed with regret he wished to die? i don't believe it was lucifer alone - god's soft "...And now I can no longer unmake it" I think represents the start of his change and lucifer represents the end of those internal thoughts being manifested. lucifer came as his conscious, verbalizing what he could not face and sending him collapsing inward. god had made lucifer as the heavenly accuser and now he had accused him. what could god say to him? what could he say to himself? lucifer was the only angel willing to voice these thoughts, and god knew there was no one else left to blame. i can't say for sure what would have changed, but just based on these testaments i wonder if god ever would have come to blame himself....or if his pain would ultimately have been taken out on the whole of creation instead.

See the problem is I can acknowledge that Ezio is probably a better written character than Altair and his interactions with other characters like Leonardo and Rosa are all handled fairly well but also there’s just something about Altair being such a fucking idiot that he basically has to run around the Holy Lands sulking while Malik calls him a little bitch that I don’t think any other ac protagonist has ever matched

wondering about if Hollander had played a different hand of cards and was just straight up honest with Sephiroth about what was going on with Genesis and then used Sephiroth's worry and pain about his sick friends and the fact that Jenova's name is attached to the files of Hollander's reports... Hollander starts giving him crumbs about Hojo, about his mother (is he truthful about Lucrecia? Or does he keep calling her Jenova?); he uses years of knowing this poor creature to play a symphony of false cares, giving him just enough information at a time to keep him around, acting like he keeps finding documents in the ones he's stolen... when he's already sorted them out to have them all at his fingertips; all so he can have the strongest man on his team to defeat Shinra.

Yet despite Hollander giving Sephiroth the very information he's ever wanted, what his heart has so deeply desired... Hollander is cold and callous in his own manner aside from Hojo.

How funny, that two men can be so similar and yet so different; and while Sephiroth has abandoned Shinra... he is homesick for a place he never belonged in, and now roams a world he will never truly assimilate into.

But at least he has Angeal and Genesis... Right?
