Today's otherkin of the day is Gau, who is monsterkin 👹

Sure I'll post this too... I named Gau, Diego in my Final Fantasy VI playthrough/stream (it was Timmy, but Diego fit way better). It's not a reference to Jojo's Bizzare Adventure, but rather a childhood show I like, Go, Diego Go!

Since they are kids that are associated with animals, I figure this cosplay works well. The Coeurl (which isn't an enemy in the game, I just added it to be a little exotic), is the replacement for Baby Jaguar.

I love Gau, he's my favorite FF6 character and pretty fun to play with. I will upload for art of him and other Final Fantasy Characters for my real final post here. Maybe I'll also leave my thought on my old fanfics too...

Day 2: Chocobo

I felt like I needed to contrast the first piece with something a lot nicer. Also I’ve been wanting to nap a lot lately and I think that thought just invaded my art.

The long-overdue "look what I did!" post of FF6 fanart that I did for the 30th anniversary calendar project. You might recognize the source material:

-Cayenne/Gau is based on Alphonse Mucha's SOCIÉTÉ POPULAIRE DES BEAUX - ARTS. 1897

My friend Scotty assisted with the French to make it more .... relevant to FF6. I imagine that Cayenne would teach Gau how to have good manners post-game.

-The park is probably the most recognizable piece, based on Georges Seurat's A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte /Un dimanche après-midi à l'Île de la Grande Jatte. 1884-1886. There may or may not be some friends in this picture, maybe even a chick you recognize?

-Relm's self portrait is my favorite, based on Triple Self-Portrait by Norman Rockwell. 1960.

I learned a ton about using references and techniques in CSP, although I still don't really know what I'm doing.

Happy 30th Anniversary Final Fantasy 6!!!

I've been working on and off on this piece since april, and I'm super happy with how it came out. Put some insane details that are barely noticeable unless you zoom in, but I'm really glad with the final result.

Cursed 2: electric boogaloo

Em in my -chibi- style. I couldnt stop laughing while making them they look like silly sausages they have every disease

It was fun to do :) I went all in. Really tried putting extra care into all of them (even if I think its pretty obvious who my fav is)

Gau is such a cute and funny character and this could be what happen if he meets my husbando, D. Is he mistaking him for a monster to learn a new rage?

Feel free to reblog before I shut this Tumblr down. I could leave as an archive, but I have too much suffering and lost friends through the past years. I can't see myself keep it for long. Especially since I was a hyper fixated suffering fan of a flash game for like 6 years.

This sequence in FF6 is one of my favourites in the game.

It doesn't further the plot, you don't gain anything from it, but it's so cute. It's like a filler episode from an anime.

My FF6 30th Anniversary Tribute!

October 11, 1994 was the official North American release for Final Fantasy 3 on the Super Nintendo.

I started this project way back in March 2024. I knew almost nothing about animation and did my best to learn it so I could turn this idea into a reality. FF6 has been a huge part of my life and its message and lessons have stayed with me through the years.

I tried to give each character animation its own style and feel. I’m so curious, which one is your favorite? Drop a comment because I’d really like to know!
