Story 1:

RM: Right People, Wrong Place

Program Note

This is the story RM of BTS as he works on his second solo album 'Right Place, Wrong Person' at the end of his twenties, in the lead up to his military enlistment. At the same time, it documents the extremely private voicings of Kim Namjoon, the ordinary citizen. 'RM: Right Person, Wrong Place' starts with a series of rough, faded shots that bring up a sense of nostalgia. This is the diary of a particular youth. Starting on 2.8.2023 and ending on 10.11.2023, 'Team RM's project takes place over days and dates, unfolding like the pages of a diary. With similar tastes, and rhythms that match each other's, this group of friends gets together to eat hamburgers, drink whiskey, and work together on music in a shared, festival-like atmosphere. RM/Kim Namjoon dreams of an album that is "purely, completely him". To take pictures, he goes to "a place where no one will pay any attention to me", and the photographer captures him "as he is". A product of that journey, the film 'RM: Right Person, Wrong Place' is both an album documentary, and the diary of a very special youth. (Kang Sowon)

Also if you like the oddness created by The Rehearsal by having people pose for real individuals you may want to check out this other documentary series called The Show About the Show

In a way it's kinda the opposite because it's about looking back while The Rehearsal is mostly about preparing for the future... but in it the main filmmaker is always having actors stand in as people in his life as he reenacts recent developments and situations about the show and his life get more mixed and messy... There is More personal drama than The Rehearsal but it is very often funny and still does have real moments of heart (and not to mention I found it quite addictive) ..and you can watch most of it for free on the director's YouTube and Vimeo

What do you mean, this was absolutely a deleted scene from Louise's Zombie Short Film!!

In all seriousness, I was very inspired by the most recent episode (which I just watched earlier today) and had to make this short, audio-less animatic, because Gene/Alexis keeps occupying my brain space and won't go away.

It was my first time finishing an animatic, which is why it's only twenty seconds and very rough. I wanted to get it out today, so if I'd spent even more time on it, it could look slightly more polished, but I'm okay enough with it as is! I just got a royalty-free background for this because I knew I needed a background to make an animatic, but I didn't want to go through the trouble of drawing one myself, pffffft.

This is (obviously) supposed to take place during the scene in Louise's bedroom where she tries to sacrifice herself for Gene and Tina. Except Alexis somehow got roped into participating in the short film as well, and Tina ended up trying to write this scene, which got cut from the short film because Louise didn't like the romance, and the fact that the focus got shifted away from her for a bit. The final short film is pretty similar to the one in canon.

I have a boxing au idea that does involve Ryeji being childhood friends that have been training under Jihyo's grandma's gym since they were kiddos and I think that I could also add that Ryujin has been living at the gym since forever and Yeji joins after Ryujin beats her ass in a fist fight involving some of the local gangs

filled out my 2024 oscars ballot! ☆s for my predictions/what i would bet on if i was betting (which i'm not, this is definitely for funsies), and ♡s for what i want to see happen, whether realistically or not.

(sorry to the categories with no ♡, that just means i didn't watch them so i don't have any particular opinion about it).

can't wait to see how many i get right! (and, obviously, wrong lmao).
