today i had my four hour long cinematography class. it was awful, i forgot my lunch, and forgot my keys as i was leaving. our instructor spent so much time talking i was getting sick. the only highlight was a guy from my scriptwriting class recognizing me and asking if i wanted to be in his group with his friend. i’ll see him again tomorrow. always love making new friends!

BRO I LOVE MY FILM TEACHER

i have been seriously struggling with schoolwork recently and one of the classes affected by that has been my film class and ive been really stressed about my missing assignments (which y'all have definitely heard about on here) but my film teacher is the absolute best and this is the email I got from her today 🥺☹️🥹 literally love her (also she knows im usually on top of things because i had her as a sub for my speech teacher last year when my actual teacher was out for maternity leave)

no but fr now im gonna get those assignments done so that i can get on her bright side and everything goes right in the world. i also have to work on my documentary for film tonight too but I can just work on that late into the night. RAHHH

had my really long class today. 4 hours of YAP. tired of this week, just wanna party honestly. worked a bit on some projects that’re due next week, but a wifi outage fucked me over. besides that, i got the strongest urge to get back into animal crossing so tomorrow i’ll do that.

im trying to edit my video for my film class and im almost at the one minute mark!!! yayyy!! ive taken a few breaks and its almost 8pm (just turned 8) i think im doing good!!

so I was watching the film Finding Forrester in my film analysis class in school today. Its a movie about a high school writer who finds an author...i won't say too much. But the film is also directed/written by my KING, Gus Van Sant.. and I swear I had WAR FLASHBACKS while watching it today.

After Jamal is accepted into his new school and he begins to speak with Will Forrester, Window, whatever you'd like to call him, there's a party being held at character Claire's house.

when the scene begins, the song Deep Night is playing. I SWEAR I HAD FLASHBACKS TO THE WAR. My favorite Gus Van Sant movie OF ALL TIME is My Own Private Idaho—that song is also featured in that film, too! You might wonder... what's the big deal, teddy?

I spent a good MINUTE trying to figure out WHY that score was so familiar. I asked myself a million times “what other movie have I heard this in?” and then it struck me. Deep Night also plays in My Own Private Idaho. Do you know WHEN that song plays? It plays when Mike is servicing Daddy Carol and he's wearing that damn DUTCH BOY OUTFIT. The instant that I realized that, my jaw FELL because all I could hear in my head was “haaarder Dutch Boy, scrub haaarder” and “now, my lucky 44th little Dutch boy, you must SCRUB Daddy Carol.”

NOBODY IN THE ROOM WOULD UNDERSTAND WHY I WAS SITTING WITH MY JAW ON THE FLOOR. One person in that whole room watched MOPI. and she didn't understand it AT ALL. like AT ALL, in fact, she told me she didn't like it because she couldn't understand it.

I don't think I can progress in this movie , guys.. the war flashbacks traumatized me I can't watch this anymore.
