Fillicember Day 31: Do it for Him

Happy new years everyone! This meme took way longer than I expected to fit all the Fillis in haha. Seeing all the little guys together makes me go 🥺

I didn’t always consistently do every day for Filli but I made it to the end with a Filli for every day so I’m proud of myself and I hope you all enjoyed this as much as I did 💖

It was my birthday today and I played video games all day BUT the lovely and beautiful Lyn drew this for me and I decided this can count for day 19 🥺

Fillicember Day 2: Cursed

This is unfortunately the officially illustrated version of Filli by Marc McBride, who illustrates all the Deltora Quest books. Despite this it also is very inaccurate to the book description of Filli. On top of being a wild take on a small grey furry creature as is stated in the books, it is also very cursed looking. Cursed Filli is just terrible but it’s not his fault he looks so cursed 😔

Fillicember Day 20: Worm

Worm off the string, what crimes will he commit?!

Big fan of long bodies with little nubby legs. Venuss on the roddaverse discord sketched this lil guy, inspired by brushbug/brushbuddy. Since it was only a sketch I picked some colours for this guy too, sort of a brown grey this time.

Fillicember Day 9: Pom-Pom

This is the most perfectly simple Filli design of all. @treecereal is so right about Filli looking like a pom pom, just an absolute joy to draw and look at. Flawless design.

Fillicember Day 6: Orb

This lil guy is @fabiansartstuff ‘s design and he is perfection. He may not be grey but he sure is round and really that’s all you need. Just the most perfect and beautiful orb of a Filli and I love him.

Tracked down another extremely baby Filli design, this time from @visavice. Once again Filli being just a fluffy little round guy is the best take. I want to hold him he looks so fluffy and cute.

Fillicember Day 4: Mine

This is my personal Filli design! I’ve fiddled around with what I think he looks like a few times but this is what I settled on.

Filli is of a fictional species called a Siski and he is described in the books as being small with grey fur, bright eyes, little hands/paws, tiny teeth and a small black nose. He is also somewhat mistakable for a rat but by people who have never seen a rat before so it can be assumed he’s at least vaguely rodent like. I always imagined him as having big ears too, not for any reason I just think they’re cute 🥰

Today we have @rat-king-reeah’s lil guy! This Filli is like a mousy possum and I agree 100%. I also gave him an almond cause he deserves one.

Their design also wasn’t coloured so a always I defaulted to grey haha

They’re very green and very pretty! I really enjoy their style and the markings they gave their design!

For those who don’t know I love Emily Rodda books and the lovely @lindalofbroome has a little roddacember event every year.

I decided to do my own lil project instead of the normal prompts in the spirit of roddacember by drawing the beautiful creechur Filli, from Deltora Quest every day. Everyone has a different design for him so I hope to represent as many as I can find 💖

Fillicember Day 1: Anime

To kick things off we have anime Filli! Probably the most well known Filli design as the anime is more well known than the books.

This design may not be accurate to the books but he is just a little pom pom and has done nothing wrong ever in his life.

Here we have the first of @lindalofbroome’s AU Fillis from their mermaid AU. He’s a leaf sheep!! I think leaf sheep are the perfect aquatic animal for Filli to be, galaxy brain idea.

Another @lindalofbroome AU Filli but this one is also Kree! Kree and Filli together in one all powerful package, the quest would have been a lot easier with a griffin on their side I think.

Fillicember Day 27: Hopper

Love this guy, found him over on instagram and he gave me big hopping mouse vibes. He didn’t have colours so I went with similar colours to a hopping mouse to go with the inspiration.

Ok finally caught up on posting my days haha. Here we have this cutie from @thedreamingspring who looks like a furby but way better. Marc McBride wishes his furby looking cursed Filli was this cute. Truly just a little guy with little hands for holding 💖
