Curious about your Eden YoI AU

ooooooh i could go on about this AU so much but for this, i'll pick five background details i've got down but don't think i'll be able to get into too deeply in the actual fic:

kaoru's professional skating career ended abruptly due to a severe head injury (in... suspicious circumstances) that, among other things, permanently impacted his balance and prevented him being able to safely pull off jumps. carla doubles as a medical device for him, and his motivation in developing an AI assistant aimed at skaters in the first place was initially entirely in finding a way to help himself still be able to skate as close to how he used to as possible, with her widespread utility in both practice and scoring for fellow disabled skaters and able-bodied skaters alike occurred to him later.

tadashi's father makoto was adam's first coach, discovering ainosuke's talent when the two boys skated together as children and managing to convince his father and aunts that it had to be nurtured (with figure skating being a respectable sport and histories in prestigious sports like that being common enough for diet members, they see it as something worth investing in for his future.) he and tadashi were the only people outside the family to know ainosuke was being abused as a child, and he tried to use his position to protect him when he could. miya, his current most promising student, reminds him immensely of ainosuke and tadashi both.

tadashi never had the professional prospects ainosuke did, but he never stopped skating and is actually incredibly good. his relationship with his father is extremely strained, but makoto is his one confidant in this. he's been trying for years to encourage his son to leave the job aiichiro got him at the ISU to teach or otherwise do something where he actually gets to use his skills, but to no avail so far.

hiromi isn't any sort of professional and just teaches skating lessons to kids at reki's home rink, and in his free time, rather than skateboarding, he's actually an amateur wrestler. his dream is to combine all his passions (figure skating, pro wrestling and metal) into one and put on a pro wrestling-themed ice show, though he worries erika (the manager of the rink, who he's hopelessly in love with) would find this stupid if he ever pitched it to her.

oliver was a several-times world champion, olympic gold medalist and inductee in the figure skating hall of fame. he and nanako met in montréal when she was studying abroad for her last year of university and was introduced through a friend who skated in the same skating club, and they quickly fell in love. nanako decided to stay in canada after undergrad to train as a nurse, and a couple years later, she got pregnant with langa, oliver decided to retire from competition and pivot to coaching, and they moved to vancouver together to get married and start their family.
