I was Helping a Femme
@juneofdoom Day 14 What were you thinking?" Slurred Speech | Fight TW: drunk behaviors (Let me know if I should use a different warning)
Sideswipe likes going to human parties, though it's not as often as before the situation with Sentinel and N.E.S.T. was terminated. Now that the Autobots aren't hiding, Sideswipe has gone to the dance club and sometimes gets invited to parties. Now he's amazed there are femmes who'd invite strangers now that he's learned how many human mechs treat femmes. Optimus only warns Sideswipe to be careful, while Sunstreaker hates when Sideswipe goes to parties or the Dance Club. Sideswipe does drink both high-grade Energon and human alcohol. The only times he's been drunk have been in the base, but Sunstreaker doesn't think Sideswipe will avoid getting drunk at human parties, resulting in Sunstreaker picking Sideswipe up from the party. "I've had to drag your aft up to our room from the cafeteria; that's my limit!" Sunstreaker argues, "if you do anything stupid at a human party, you'll have to deal with Prowl and Optimus."
Sideswipe gets a beer from the cooler and finds humans to talk to. Often he's talking to the femmes. He's distracted that he doesn't drink one can quickly. Most of the time, he finishes the can before leaving the party four hours later. Sunstreaker finds it disgusting Sideswipe thinks human femmes keep him from drinking too much. Everything is fine for two hours until everyone hears a femme yelling. "No! Leave me alone!" Everyone notices she's talking to a clearly drunk mech. "Come on, ley's havw a little fun," the drunk man says. "No! You're drunk. I know what you mean by 'fun'!" "No, I'm npt. I'm fine." "Hey! She said to leave her alone, so get lost!" Sideswipe yells. "Bacm off; she's mine." The drunk guy stumbles as he walks toward Sideswipe. Once he reaches Sideswipe, he throws a punch. The others are amazed he landed a punch while drunk. "Fughr md." "No way, you're drunk." "Fughr md!" The drunk manages to punch Sideswipe again. "I warned you." Sideswipe punches the guy, resulting in the guy struggling to get his balance back. He punches the guy again, hoping to get him to back off. Though drunk and struggling to not fall on his ass, the drunk continues to fight. The fight is nothing more than a show, and it seems no one is interested in calling the police.
Until everyone hears sirens. Sideswipe knows he's screwed even if Prowl isn't one of the officers heading toward the scene. The drunk still tries to fight. No one else tries to leave the property. Quickly Sideswipe and the drunk are separated. The drunk is cuffed. "Hands up!" Prowl demands, aiming his taser at Sideswipe. Oh, frag. Sideswipe thinks. "What? Prowl, you know me -" "I said hands up!" Sideswipe does as he's told before Prowl tasers him. Prowl forces him out of the yard and into his car. The drunk is put in another police vehicle.
The drive to the station is silent. Sideswipe knows he's busted.
Sideswipe is shoved into an interrogation room. "Sit down!" Prowl yells and closes the door. Let me guess, you're drunk? Sunstreaker asks through the bond. No, a drunk aft wanted to frag a femme. Sorry for helping her!
Prowl returns in less than five minutes. "What were you thinking?!" "That an aft wanted to frag a femme who said to leave her alone. He wanted a fight." "You damn better hope he doesn't press charges. You are banned from going to parties or the Dacne Club! Let's go!" Prowl forces Sideswipe up and out of the room to the back entrance. He's forced into Prowl's car.
Prowl takes the cuffs off and shoves Sideswipe into his room. "I'll be talking to Optimus about the rest of your punishment!" Prowl yells and slams the door. "Nice going," Sunstreaker comments. "Shut up!" Sideswipe can easily assume he'll be assigned extra patrols and other work all because he was trying to help a femme.

What is a Nonprofit?
Every time I tell someone that I want to go into nonprofit work, their first response is always “How are you going to make money?” Most people have a skewed idea of what a nonprofit is, but who can blame them... the title literally suggests that they don’t make profits. The misconception with the name deters many people from working in the sector, but it can be very rewarding if you land the right position. According to Nonprofit Times, the sector alone was a $84,772,750,414 business. As revenues increase, so do salaries for many administrative positions. The ability to help people in need and better their lives is unparalleled to any feeling in the world. Nonprofits are very rewarding both financially and professionally.
According to Council of Nonprofits, nonprofits “...provide a way for people to work together for the common good, transforming shared beliefs and hopes into action...They foster civic engagement and leadership, drive economic growth, and strengthen the fabric of our communities.” Nonprofits are tax- exempt based on the code of their organization. Despite the vast amount of categories, they all have one thing in common: the inability to generate profit for individual or shareholder use. They do not pay out their profits which means that when they do generate extra income, it does cannot go to individuals or private shareholders. Rather, it goes back into the organization as more funding.
Sure they can enjoy some perks such as being tax-exempt, but there is so much more to it. The joy of being a non profit comes from the work and the impact made on the world. People have a chance to change lives and make the world a better place. That is the real reason people decide to join nonprofit work. They are dedicated to furthering a particular social cause or advocating a shared point of view. Some examples include ending homelessness, protecting human rights, ending hunger, and much much more. If there is a cause, there is an organization. Nonprofits hope to better the community by providing resources, time, money, or help to help solve the problems of the world... all without generating profit!
Here’s a list of the top 10 nonprofits in the nation. You may recognize some of them in your own community!
1. YMCA
2. Goodwill
3. Catholic Charities
4. The Salvation Army
5. United Way
6. American Red Cross
7. Feeding America
8. Habitat for Humanity
9. Boys & Girls Club of America
10. Planned Parenthood
Although many nonprofits are charities, there are a variety of different types. Find one that fits your cause and join them in the fight to better the world!

Liverpool 1-0 Wolves: Sadio Mane scores winner to send Reds 13 points clear
New Post has been published on https://thebiafrastar.com/liverpool-1-0-wolves-sadio-mane-scores-winner-to-send-reds-13-points-clear/
Liverpool 1-0 Wolves: Sadio Mane scores winner to send Reds 13 points clear
Sadio Mane is only the second player to be directly involved in 30 Premier League goals during 2019 (24 goals, 6 assists), after Jamie Vardy (34)
Liverpool finish the year with a 13-point lead at the top of the Premier League table following victory over Wolves amidst more Video Assistant Referee controversy at Anfield.
Sadio Mane scored the winner in the first half, slotting it past keeper Rui Patricio after it bounced off Adam Lallana’s shoulder in the box.
There was a lengthy VAR review for handball from Lallana before referee Anthony Taylor eventually confirmed the goal.
Wolves then had a goal disallowed by VAR for a marginal offside by Jonny after Pedro Neto had drilled his shot into the bottom left corner on the stroke of half-time.
Liverpool had chances to extend their lead – Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino coming close either side of the break, but Wolves were also bright.
Diogo Jota had two big chances in the second half – the first a shot from a tight angle in the box which flew wide of the right post, the second a festive gift from a Virgil van Dijk mistake which he hit straight at Liverpool keeper Alisson.
Liverpool finish the year as resounding favourites to win their first league title in 30 years, while Wolves end 2019 in good form despite defeat at Anfield.
Liverpool investigate alleged incident between Wolves’ Jonny & ball boy
More VAR controversy…
There is not a weekend that goes by in the Premier League in which VAR controversy is not at the heart of it – and both decisions were marginal at Anfield.
Wolves fans were clearly frustrated, greeting referee Anthony Taylor with a roar of boos on his re-entry to the pitch following the half-time break, and they sang of their disapproval of the VAR system as frustrations continued in the second half.

Nuno refuses to comment on VAR controversy after Wolves defeat
Liverpool’s opening goal appeared to strike the top of Lallana’s shoulder, near his collar bone rather than his arm, while the Wolves players felt Virgil van Dijk controlled the ball with his hand before playing the long pass to Lallana.
Wolves also suffered a blow when Neto’s goal was disallowed because Spanish wing-back Jonny had a toe offside.
On a weekend where Norwich striker Teemu Pukki and Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha were also victims of close offside calls, the talk – once again – will be of the use of VAR and not how Liverpool managed to grind out yet another win in the league.
Wolves skipper Conor Coady said his team felt “massively” hard done by and believes the current VAR system is “not working”.
“In the second half we controlled the game and nullified Liverpool to hardly anything. It is disappointing that we are stood here talking about VAR rather than the game and the way Wolves played,” former Liverpool trainee Coady said.
The difference a decade makes
It seems like it was only yesterday when Liverpool appointed Roy Hodgson as manager in 2010.
Hodgson would go on to last just six months, having made eight signings – Milan Jovanovic, Joe Cole and Paul Konchesky among them – who all failed to impress at Liverpool.
The Reds went on to finish sixth at the end of the season – 22 points behind champions Manchester United. They also lost to League Two side Northampton Town in the League Cup and did npt make it past the last 16 of the Europa League.

Liverpool 1-0 Wolves: Jurgen Klopp pleased with Wolves win
Fast forward 10 years and Liverpool are sporting the Fifa Champions badge on their shirts for one game in the Premier League after winning the Club World Cup in Qatar earlier this month.
Fans welcomed their players onto the pitch against Wolves with a rendition of “We are the champions… of the world”.
As reigning European champions, they already have the Premier League trophy well within their sights and it would take an almighty collapse for Liverpool to lose their position at the top of the table in the second half of the season.
Positives for Wolves despite the manner of defeat
Wolves drop to eighth place following the defeat at Anfield but they will be very happy at the halfway mark.
A comeback victory over Manchester City and the 4-0 thrashing over Besiktas in the Europa League were big highlights in December but they gave the league leaders a run for their money on Sunday despite playing in their second fixture in 43 hours.
Jota had chances to equalise in the second half as Wolves piled the pressure on and he was not alone.
Raul Jimenez and Adama Traore, both introduced as second-half substitutes, failed to hit the target from good positions, while Ruben Vinagre thumped a strike over from close range in stoppage time.
The positivity they showed throughout the game will have pleased boss Nuno Espirito Santo, who continues to work wonders with a small, but talented squad.
Wolves’ ultimate goal should be to secure European football for another season and they are on course to achieve that in the New Year.
Man of the match – Diogo Jota (Wolves)
Portuguese forward Jota was a threat all match and he could easily have equalised in the second half
‘Football is like life’ – what they said
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp:“It was a tough test and rightly so. Wolves are used to a tough rhythm of games.
“First half we were good and controlled the game, but I can imagine Wolves were not happy with the VAR decisions. However, the momentum went with them after that moment. We had nothing to do with the decisions.
“The second half they changed a bit. We were not fresh enough in mind to react. Alisson wanted to make the game quick, and nobody else wants to it to be! Football is like life. Sometimes you are 100% ready and sometimes not. It was a big fight.”
Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo:“It was a tough game. First half Liverpool was strong. We stayed in the game, stayed organised and always the danger with the quality. In the second half we had good spells and created a lot of chances.
“We finished strongly. I am very proud of the players.”
Half century for Liverpool at Anfield – the stats
Liverpool are now unbeaten in 50 home league games, winning 40 and drawing 10 of those games at Anfield
It is only the third time any side has gone 50 or more home matches without defeat in English top-flight history, after Chelsea (86 between 2004 and 2008) and Liverpool (63 between 1978 and 1980)
Liverpool have won 17 consecutive matches at Anfield in the Premier League, only Man Utd (19 ending in October 2011) and Man City (20 ending in March 2012) have had longer home winning runs
Liverpool end 2019 having earned 98 points from 37 Premier League matches, their ratio of 2.65 points per game is the second highest achieved by a team in a single year in the competition, behind only Chelsea’s 2.66 in 2005
Adam Lallana assisted a Premier League goal for Liverpool for the first time since December 2016 against Manchester City, two years and 363 days ago
Jordan Henderson made his 308th Premier League appearance since the start of 2010, the Liverpool midfielder having played in more matches than any other player in the competition this decade
Wolves have lost each of their last six league meetings with Liverpool, managing to score only one goal in this run while conceding 13
This was Wolves’ first defeat in eight away league outings (W3 D4) and was the first time they failed to score on the road in the Premier League since their goalless draw at Leicester on the opening matchday of the season.
What’s next?
Wolves return to action with a trip to relegation-battling Watford at 15:00 GMT in one of nine Premier League matches on New Year’s Day.
Liverpool have an extra day off, hosting Sheffield United on Thursday at 20:00 GMT.

'Wokolabrism' — 1. Statement by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations, V. Nebenzi, in explanation of vote when adopting a UN Security Council resolution on the DPRK
The Russian Federation supported the adoption of a Security Council resolution 2371 on the DPRK. We understand the need to stop the Pyongyang’s nuclear missile program, which is unacceptable to us. We share the feelings of the neighboring states of the region. Ballistic missiles launched without warning from North Korean territory expose sea and air transportation in the region, as well as the lives of ordinary citizens, to serious risks. We urge the North Korean authorities to curtail prohibited programs and return to the non-proliferation regime of the NPT and IAEA control, as well as accede to the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. It should be clear to everyone that it will be difficult to advance along the path of denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula, as long as the DPRK feels a direct threat to its security. After all, this is how the North Koreans perceive military hyperactivity in the region, taking the form of regular large-scale maneuvers and exercises of the US and its allies, sending strategic bombers and naval forces there, including aircraft carriers. An additional destabilizing factor in the region is the buildup on the territory of the Republic of Korea of elements of the American missile defense THAAD. We hahave repeatedly said that such actions are not only an irritant, but also generally undermine the current military balance in the region, calling into question the security of neighboring states. We would like to hope for the sincerity of the assurances made by the US Secretary of State that the United States does not set the goal of overthrowing the current regime of the DPRK, forcibly uniting the peninsula or military intervention in this country. However, it is of concern that the proposed paragraph of the draft resolution, enshrining these provisions, did not find support from the authors. Eventual military adventures from either side will turn into a catastrophe for regional and global stability. Mr. Chairman, We emphasize: the additional restrictive measures imposed by the resolution just adopted with regard to the DPRK cannot be an end in themselves. They should be a tool for involving this country in constructive negotiations. Solving the nuclear problem of the Korean Peninsula with sanctions and pressure on Pyongyang alone is impossible. The resolution should be an element of a political strategy that has yet to be developed and agreed upon and involve the DPRK in its implementation.
2
Statement by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations, V. Nebenzi, in explanation of vote when adopting a UN Security Council resolution on the DPRK
Sanctions should not be used either for the economic suffocation of the DPRK, nor for the deliberate deterioration of the humanitarian situation. This is especially true of illegal unilateral restrictions, which hit civilian industries that are not related to the country's nuclear missile programs. Such sanctions are the cause of a serious deterioration in the living conditions of the North Korean population, about which, by the way, the UN humanitarian agencies are sounding the alarm. Practice shows the disadvantage of unilateral measures, moreover, the destructiveness of the approach, when the sanctions "cudgel" is used instead of diplomatic tools as a universal way of solving world problems. Obviously, to normalize the situation on the Korean Peninsula, a comprehensive approach is needed, which involves both stopping the DPRK nuclear missile tests and refusing to build up the military infrastructure and reduce the scale of maneuvers. On the agenda is the task of creating an atmosphere of trust between the states of the region. It is necessary to abandon the outdated algorithms for solving the nuclear problem of the Korean Peninsula, which have proved their ineffectiveness, and try to resolve it with non-standard, creative approaches. Isolation and pressure must give way to dialogue and negotiation. It is in this vein that Russian and Chinese proposals for “double freezing” and “parallel promotion” are built. We would like to recall that it was our countries that developed a joint “road map” that excludes the use or threat of force and implies a comprehensive solution to all the problems of the Korean Peninsula, including nuclear, politico-diplomatic, through the establishment of a dialogue, without preconditions. In the arsenal of political means and the resumption of the Six-Party Talks. These ideas deserve serious attention as a possible starting point to overcome the current impasse and resume the negotiation process. It is necessary to look for channels of communication with the leadership of the DPRK, to bring it to a substantive dialogue on nuclear and missile issues. Once again, we would like to draw attention to the joint Russian-Chinese statement on resolving the situation on the Korean Peninsula of July 4. Mr. Chairman, We would like to draw attention to some controversial points of the resolution adopted now. Of course, Pyongyang violates the sanctions against him. But he does not deliver WMD components to non-state actors. There is no direct link between the implementation of Council resolution 1540 and the actions of official Pyongyang. The practice of mentioning it in the context of sanctions must end. This is counterproductive, especially for the resolution itself.

03
Speech of the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN V. Nebenzi at a meeting of the UN Security Council on general issues related to sanctions
Sanctions are one of the most important elements in the Security Council’s toolbox. Political practice shows that restrictive measures cannot be an end in themselves. Their task is to contribute to the achievement of a politico-diplomatic resolution of conflict situations. Only the Council has the right to impose and use sanctions in support of clear and legitimate goals enshrined in the UN Charter. We recognize the importance of improving the sanctions. We presume that they should be limited in duration, subject to regular reviews and have clear criteria for their folding. It is important that those who bear real responsibility for provoking crises be in their focus. Restrictions should not harm civilians or socio-economic development. Hence the need for their careful study even before the introduction. It is unacceptable that restrictive measures are used to overthrow "undesirable" regimes, including through the economic "strangulation" or the swaying of the situation. We consider illegal arbitrary interpretation of sanctions decisions illegal. Experience shows that this is fraught with increasing chaos and even greater suffering for the civilian population. It is also important to ensure that the language of the sanctions documents does not disagree with the generally accepted norms of international law. In no case should the sanctions "club" be confined to diplomatic and consular missions, whose activities can be very complicated by expansive interpretation of the existing restrictions in violation of the Vienna Conventions. Mr. Chairman, Regarding the work of the sanctions committees of the Security Council, I would like to note the inadmissibility of the infringement of their prerogatives. In particular, we do not see the need to duplicate the powers of these bodies with additional bureaucratic superstructures, including working groups. Each sanctions regime is individual and unique in its essence. What is useful in some issues may be counterproductive in others. It should be emphasized: in the UN, as an intergovernmental organization, the decision-making prerogative must remain with the member states. In this context, we are wary of ideas to introduce third-party "players" into the decision-making chain. It is not a secret that behind them there can be certain groups of influence interested in a particular outcome. Moreover, the majority of sanctions committees have their own monitoring groups, which have the opportunity to give independent assessments and recommendations.
04
Speech Acting PV Ilyichev, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations, in explanation of vote on the draft resolution of the UN Security Council on the fight against foreign terrorist fighters
Mr Chairman Our delegation voted in favor of adopting Security Council resolution 2396. We share the view that the massive outflow of militants from armed conflict zones, primarily from Syria and Iraq, carries additional security threats and requires an adequate response from the Council. The document in question does not cancel the previous decisions of the UN on combating terrorism, but complements them. Of particular importance in this regard are the obligations to criminalize various aspects of terrorist activities, as well as the rule of “judge or extradite”, which are enshrined in antiterrorist conventions and Security Council resolutions. It is crucial to achieve their full implementation, guided by the principles of inevitability of punishment and its proportionality to the crimes committed. Any attempt to provide direct or indirect assistance to returning terrorist fighters, including allowing them to move freely, recruit recruits and incitement to terrorism, would be a direct violation of the resolution adopted today. Rehabilitation and reintegration programs cannot be used as an alternative to criminal prosecution of criminals in this category. We note the importance of developing international cooperation in the fight against ITB. We attach particular importance to the provisions of the resolution on the exchange of information. In this regard, the Meeting of the heads of special services, security agencies and law enforcement agencies, held annually in Russia, as well as the International Databank on Combating Terrorism created in our country, has proven itself well. As part of working with returning ITBs, it is necessary to bear in mind that one of the key tasks of terrorists is the widespread dissemination of the ideology of terror. We consider it correct that the document adopted today develops a number of provisions of Security Council resolution 2354 on countering the propaganda of terrorism. In general, it is necessary to continue to improve criminal law measures in this area. If we confine ourselves to abstract slogans, the “battle for hearts and minds” of young people will be lost. Achieving results in countering ITB is possible only on a collective basis, with the leading role of states and connecting the potential of relevant international organizations, the private sector and civil society structures.
05
Statement by the Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, Ye.T. Zagainov, in explanation of vote on the draft UN Security Council resolution on the extension of the mandate of the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate
Mr Chairman The Counter-Terrorism Committee (CTC) and its Executive Directorate, CTED, have unique experience as well as anti-terror powers. They consist in ensuring effective control over the implementation of antiterrorist decisions of the SC. Our delegation supported the draft resolution on the review and extension of the mandate of KTID. We note with satisfaction that the document reflects the results of the September briefing of the Council that preceded the review, which was held on the initiative of the delegations of Russia and Ethiopia, supported our proposals, presented in preparation for it and at the meeting itself. First of all, it concerns the improvement of the mechanisms for interaction of KTID with states in the framework of the assessment of their antiterrorist potential. It is of fundamental importance that independent expert monitoring of the implementation of Security Council resolutions 1373, 1624 and 2178 remains a key function of the Directorate, as enshrined in the text approved today. At the same time, it is necessary to focus on the states most exposed to the terrorist threat. In many cases, monitoring documents are an important indicator of the needs of States for technical assistance, the provision of which is one of the key functions of the UN Counter-Terrorism Office (CTC). It is for this reason that the parameters of interaction between CTID and UKT are formulated in the review resolution. For our part, we will be ready to provide the necessary support for the implementation of joint programs by them. With the adoption of narrow-profile Security Council resolutions on various aspects of antiterrorism, the requirements for states and, accordingly, the scope of the tasks facing the Committee have increased significantly. Under these conditions, it is necessary to clearly prioritize, including in the development of thematic plots through KTID. In this regard, we note the emphasis in the resolution on the priority tasks related to countering the propaganda of terrorism, combating the use of the Internet for terrorist purposes, suppressing financial and weapon support for terrorists and developing cooperation in the criminal law sphere. In conclusion, I would like to express the hope that the work of KTID on the basis of the renewed mandate and under the leadership of the new Executive Director will be effective and fruitful in the coming period. Thank you.

Speech Acting The Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, P.V. Ilyicheva, on the Results of the Resolution of the UN General Assembly on the Reform of the Peace and Security Architecture
Mr. Chairman, The Russian delegation joined the consensus adoption of the General Assembly resolution on the reform of the architecture of peace and security. We would like to express our gratitude to you, Mr. President, for organizing in the General Assembly - the most representative body of the UN - an interstate discussion of the initial ideas of Secretary General António Guterres concerning the reform of the architecture of peace and security of the UN Secretariat contained in his report A / 72/525 . We are convinced that such an approach based on transparency and trust will help to ensure the effectiveness and long-term positive effect of the implementation of transformations. This is especially important when it comes to not only structural reorganization, but also changes that will certainly have a political dimension. We welcome the Secretary-General’s personal efforts to improve the UN and are ready, along with him and the rest of the Member States, to work in order to reach a common understanding of what the UN will be tomorrow. We believe that the entire discussion that took place between the states during the work on the resolution just adopted, including what was said today, will form the basis of the future comprehensive report of the Secretary General, who will also be subject to consideration by the General Assembly. We recognize and respect the different points of view that exist on various aspects of the reform process. We understand that all these issues will continue to be discussed in detail in order to finally reach a common understanding. This is the whole essence and basis of the UN - for this we created our Organization, which is the unshakable foundation of the multilateral world order. Mr Chairman The reform process is based on the thesis of the interrelation of the three pillars (pillar) of the UN - peace and security, development and human rights. Indeed, these three areas, like everything else in our daily work, are intertwined. At the same time, this does not mean that the same structures should deal with all these issues. The principle of “division of labor” and responsibility should remain at the core of our work, in order to avoid a decrease in efficiency. That is why we highly appreciate the desire of the Secretary General to preserve existing mandates, functions and sources of funding in order to avoid duplication of efforts.

Remarks by the First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, P.V. Ilyichev, in explanation of vote on the draft resolution of the UN Security Council on the extension of the mandate of the UN Stabilization Mission in the CAR
Mr. Chairman, The Russian delegation supported the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 2387 on the extension of the mandate of MINUSTAAR for one year. First of all, we were guided by the need to send a signal to Central Africans that the international community would not leave them in the most difficult situation in which the country is at this stage. The security situation is genuinely alarming. The statehood of the CARs is undergoing unprecedented trials. Under these conditions, the Security Council cannot stand aside. We agreed with the Secretary General’s proposal to increase the military component of the Mission by 900 people. At the same time, we hope that the peacekeepers will not disperse their efforts, but will focus on the implementation of their primary tasks - the protection of civilians and the advancement of the political process. Yes, to protect all the inhabitants of a country that is comparable in size to France, "blue helmets" are not able to. However, in the case of increasing their mobility — namely, the emphasis in A. Guterres’s report — it is possible to make a significant contribution to calming down the situation “on the ground”, which would allow Bangui to concentrate on the peace process and the disarmament, demobilization and reintegration program of ex-combatants . The leadership of the CAR also needs to continue restoring the capacity of the national armed forces. When sending additional peacekeepers to the Mission, we should not forget about those contingents that are already in the CARs and carry extremely difficult service with risk to their lives. It was not for nothing that the Secretary General celebrated UN Day precisely in the CAR along with the peacekeepers. We call on our colleagues to approach carefully the issue of assessing the contribution of the countries-suppliers. The situation is inadmissible when a whole contingent is withdrawn due to sexual crimes of individual peacekeepers and cannot be replaced for a long time, which seriously undermines the operational potential of the Mission. Thank you.
08 Speech by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation V.A. Nebenzi at a meeting of the UN Security Council on the subject of terrorist threats to civil aviation Mr Chairman The Russian delegation is grateful to the Secretary-General of ICAO, Ms. Fang Liu, and the Chairperson of the Counter-Terrorism Committee (CTC), Mr. Abulatte, for their assessments and informative contributions to the discussion. Our delegation took an active part in the dialogue on threats to the safety of civil aviation, held in July at the CTC site. During it, the Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation presented the best practices of our country in the implementation of international civil aviation safety standards. We believe that the July special meeting of the CTC gave food for thought, in particular, with regard to the remaining gaps in the fulfillment by states of the requirements to prevent terrorist acts and to strengthen intergovernmental cooperation in this area. But they are recorded in the Council’s anti-terrorism resolutions, starting with the basic resolution 1373. Among the new challenges in this area, the phenomenon of foreign terrorist fighters was once again noted; airport incidents caused by insiders and their personnel; the use of increasingly sophisticated improvised explosive devices; and the danger posed by cyber attacks. The past event confirmed that in the formulation and implementation in practice of rules and methods for ensuring aviation security, States should first of all rely on the work carried out within the framework of ICAO - an international organization competent in these matters. In this context, the ICAO Global Aviation Security Plan (Global Aviation Security Plan), the roadmap for its implementation and related programs and projects are intended to help in this context. Mr Chairman The task of discussing this topic in the Council, as well as work on it in the CTC, is to avoid assisting duplication of efforts, to arrange assistance to states in the universal implementation of relevant standards and recommendations, taking into account the identified gaps in national antiterrorism systems.
09 Speech by Vladimir Nebenzi, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, at a meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation on the Korean Peninsula Mr Chairman We reiterate our principled position regarding the unacceptability of Pyongyang’s nuclear missile program, which should be halted as soon as possible. The launches of ballistic missiles carried out by the DPRK pose serious risks to sea and air transportation in the region, as well as the lives of ordinary citizens, in this case the citizens of Japan. We urge the implementation of UNSC resolutions in their entirety. Pyongyang must curtail prohibited programs and return to the non-proliferation regime of the NPT and IAEA control, as well as accede to the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. At the same time, the members of the Security Council should seek a peaceful, diplomatic and political solution to the problems of the Korean Peninsula and work to reduce tensions in the region. There is no other way. We are against missile launches and tests of the DPRK. But, we said repeatedly, it’s impossible to solve the problems of the Korean Peninsula by sanctions and pressure alone. Only in this way will we not achieve what we are looking for, since it does not offer any options for involving the DPRK in constructive negotiations. There can be no military solution to the problems of the Korean Peninsula. We believe that all further decisions of the Security Council on the DPRK should clearly indicate this fact. It is also necessary to exclude additional unilateral sanctions in excess of those adopted by the Council itself. To normalize the situation on the Korean Peninsula, an approach is needed that implies both the cessation of North Korea’s nuclear missile tests and the abandonment of military infrastructure, including the THAAD system, and a reduction in the scale of maneuvers. The task of creating an atmosphere of trust between the states of the region and, in principle, creating a security architecture in NEA, is acutely on the agenda. The “road map” of resolving the complex of problems of the Korean Peninsula can be the joint Russian-Chinese ideas that have been put forward in various formats, including the joint Russian-Chinese statement of July 4th. We reaffirm the categorical unacceptability of the force-based approaches to a settlement on the Korean Peninsula. Political tools should be used. We are satisfied that it is precisely this approach that is stated in the statement just adopted by the President of the Security Council. Thank you.
10 Speech by Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations, Vladimir K. Safronkov, at an official meeting of the UN Security Council in explanation of vote on the draft Security Council resolution on sanctions against ISIL and Al-Qaida Mr Chairman The Russian Federation supported the draft resolution on sanctions against ISIL and Al-Qaida, taking into account the unprecedented scale and severity of threats to international relations that emanate from these groups. We agree with our American colleagues: today, another important step has been taken towards the strengthening of the antiterrorist regime. Now all Member States, without exception, are required to fully and faithfully implement the provisions of this important decision of the UN Security Council. At the same time, it is deeply regrettable that while agreeing on a text, even on such a fundamental topic as organizing a joint fight against international terrorism, due to the position of some delegations, the text does not fully take into account the concerns of members of the Security Council. This, in particular, is the Russian proposal to introduce a comprehensive ban on any trade and economic relations with the territories controlled by ISIS. One should be aware that terrorists are engaged in large-scale cross-border smuggling of hydrocarbons and other goods. An illegal business every month brings them tens of millions of dollars. The money is sent by terrorists for the purchase of arms and ammunition, which complicates the use of force against them. We declare our firm intention to continue to seek the introduction of this and other measures aimed at the complete financial and logistical isolation of terrorist groups. It is no less regrettable that the text did not spell out a direct reference to Article 103 of the Charter, on which we insisted. This article provides the primacy of the Charter in relation to other international treaties. The urgency of such a reference is due to the need to strengthen the authority of mandatory decisions of the Security Council in the area of sanctions, to ensure their uninterrupted implementation at the national level by all branches of government. Our firm position is that without strict and universal adherence to the provisions of the Charter, it will be impossible to ensure the integrity of the sanctions regime. We firmly believe that in the interests of sustained progress in the fight against a terrorist international, a real pairing of efforts by all interested parties is required. We see this as the only way to guarantee the complete and final elimination of the threat to global stability. Thank you.
11 Remarks by the Acting Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations, P.V. Ilyichev, in explanation of vote in connection with the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 2366 on the UN Mission in Colombia Mr Chairman Russia supported the adoption of Security Council resolution 2366 on the establishment of the UN Verification Mission in Colombia. The appearance of this document symbolizes a new stage on the path to the establishment of a sustainable world in the country through the political process and national dialogue. This became possible only thanks to the efforts of the Colombians themselves. We welcome the achievement by the participants of the settlement of an important result - the completion of the surrender of weapons by the partisans of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FARC), which opened the way for their full integration into peaceful life. We note in this regard the coordinating role of the UN, the contribution of the countries-guarantors - Cuba and Norway - as well as the important assistance of Venezuela and Chile. The communique of the government and the FARC of May 29 and the letter of the President of Colombia to the UN Security Council on reaching additional agreements in support of the peace process that followed on June 7 were positive. We support the request contained in these documents for the establishment exactly today, on July 10, of a new phase of the Special Political Commission, so that the parties could look with confidence into tomorrow, understanding what kind of international assistance they will be rendered. When working on the document, it was assumed that the synchronization of the Mission’s mandate with progress in the peace process should be carried out carefully. That is why the current mandate of UNMIK will continue to operate, as planned, until September. Full funding and staffing will remain. At the same time, the Mission will gradually begin to carry out the individual monitoring tasks of the next phase. We hope that such a smooth transition will allow the Mission to adapt without fuss. At the same time, we will continue to closely monitor the security situation - it is important to prevent the emergence of a vacuum. We hope that the parties will fulfill in good faith and in a timely manner all their obligations under the existing agreements. For our part, we intend to continue efforts, including through UNMIK, in support of the Colombian people and government in building lasting peace and post-conflict development.

I'm gonna guess that number 3 is the lie!
1. I had to get stitches in my thumb because I was trying to poke a hole through cardboard - using brand new scissors - to make a wearable popcorn sign.
2. I love jetskiing, and we live close to a lake, and one time while I was out with my dad we saw this giant fish - it must've been a bass or perch or something - and for a minute I thought it was a small shark and I got super excited.
3. They had to close both bathrooms in the middle school last year because people started a fight club in the boy's bathroom, and when those bathrooms were closed, they moved to the girl's bathroom instead
My current favorite song would have to be Hello World!
npt: @nerdskii @peoplecallmelucifer and anyone I'm forgetting!
New Tag Game!
if you're tagged, reblog with two truths and a lie, guess what prev's lie is and reblog with your current favourite song!
Thank you for the tag, love @pop-roxs <3 (it was a long post so I just made this new one)
Hmmm, I think the second one for you is the lie
Mine are:
1. I have a Wattpad story written about me
2. I was asked to design a clothing line for a new brand
3. I had a crush on one of my friend’s boyfriend and we would talk without her knowing
My favorite song at the moment:
