Since she will find out eventually no matter how much Akira wants to avoid it, Sumire is surprised that Akira’s father and uncle kind of have the same issues that her and Kasumi did. One feeling inferior to the other, but in Akira’s family case, both sides see each other as being ‘perfect’ and the other being ‘inferior’.  Akira somewhat laughs at the irony and tries to make the situation light since he is so far removed from being a sibling because he has none ( besides Futaba who is LIKE a little sister to him but they aren’t actual siblings ) and tries to change the obvious subject. Needless to say, he tries to not bring Sumire around his family too much if not at all and avoids them when he can.
