Compare the quality of AMD FSR 3.1 upscaling
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart’s video below compares FSR 2.2’s upscaling quality to FSR 3.1’s, showing The current version’s significant improvements.
The PlayStation Studios games coming today were produced by Sucker Punch Productions, Guerrilla, and Insomniac Games, with Nixxes Software developing the PC versions. Santa Monica Studio created God of War Ragnarök, and Jetpack Interactive handled the PC version. Follow AMD for updates as they anticipate more games to support AMD FSR 3.1 soon.
AMD FSR 3
Massive performance gains and outstanding upscaling image quality are provided by AMD FSR 3, particularly with the most recent 3.1 upgrade, on a variety of hardware. With AMD Radeon RX 7000 Series graphics cards, frame rates can be increased by an average of 3.3x when playing games at 4K or 1440p, according to recent research. A thorough analysis of performance gains in twelve different games can be found in the figure below.Image credit to AMD
More Games and Counting Are Supported by AMD FSR 3
AMD are happy to inform AMD fans that 60 current and forthcoming titles support AMD FSR 3. A few of the important games are Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Ships At Sea, Still Wakes the Deep, Dragon’s Dogma 2, EVERSPACE 2, Grey Zone Warfare, House Flipper 2, NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, Pax Dei, and The Thaumaturge. Concord, Breeding Simulator 25, inZOI, Nobody Wants to Die, Preserve, The First Descendant, Creatures of Ava, and Dungeon Stalkers are among the recently added future titles.
Certain games that call for game developer integration can use AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) versions 1, 2, and 3, which are compatible with specific AMD products. When purchasing graphics cards from other suppliers, AMD does not offer warranty or technical support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution.
For games that feature AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) 3, advanced frame generation interpolation technology can inject one frame between each existing one, allowing for up to two times the framerate. GD-2231A.
AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 24.1.1, 24.2.1, 24.4.1, and 24.5.1 drivers, AMD Smart Access Memory technology, and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3) technology with “Performance” mode and frame generation enabled versus AMD FSR 3 OFF, on test systems configured with AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and Ryzen 5 7600X CPUs, 32GB DDR5-6000 RAM, MSI MEG x670E ACE and ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F motherboards, and Windows 11 Pro 2022 Update, using the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora built-in benchmark, Forspoken built-in benchmark.
The spirit of Tsushima benchmarks for Immortals of Aveum “Streetwise” and DIRECTOR’S CUT “Start of Game” Benchmarks for Lords of the Fallen “Pilgrim’s Perch,” The Thaumaturge “Shadow of Sins Past,” Grey Zone Warfare “Camp,” and The Last of Us Part I “The Woods” The benchmarks include Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth “Isezaki Ijincho: Central St.”, Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition “Start of Game,” The Talos Principle 2 “Booting Process” benchmark, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart “Start of Game” at 3840 x 2160 and 2560 x 1440, using the highest graphics presets, DirectX 12, and FSR 3 OFF/FSR 3 “Performance” mode with frame generation.
Depending on the AMD FSR 3 quality mode chosen, performance will change. A few games support AMD FSR 3, which needs to be integrated by developers. Variations in setups can lead to disparate outcomes amongst system makers. RS-654.

While CD Projekt Red (CDPR) announced the conclusion of dedicated development for Cyberpunk 2077, the game isn't entirely left in the dust. Exciting news emerged this week, confirming the long-awaited addition of FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3) technology to the title. This update promises significant performance improvements for players seeking smoother gameplay experiences in Night City. Cyberpunk 2077 The Farewell, But Not the End: CDPR's Shifting Focus on Cyberpunk 2077 Earlier announcements confirmed that CDPR was transitioning its development resources away from Cyberpunk 2077. This decision aimed to focus the team's efforts on future projects. However, the news regarding FSR 3 support suggests CDPR remains committed to polishing the existing Cyberpunk 2077 experience. FSR 3: A Boon for Performance-Minded Players FSR 3, developed by AMD, is a cutting-edge image scaling technology. Here's a breakdown of how it can benefit Cyberpunk 2077 players: Boosted Frame Rates: FSR 3 is designed to significantly enhance frame rates without sacrificing visual quality. This translates to smoother gameplay, especially on systems that might struggle to maintain high frame rates at native resolutions. A Range of Options: FSR 3 typically offers various quality presets, allowing players to strike a balance between performance gains and visual fidelity based on their hardware capabilities and preferences. Improved Visuals (Optional): While FSR 3 focuses on performance, some implementations can achieve visual improvements through techniques like contrast enhancement. Whether this applies to Cyberpunk 2077's implementation remains to be seen. The inclusion of FSR 3 caters to players who prioritize smooth gameplay experiences, particularly those with less powerful machines. This update holds the potential to breathe new life into Cyberpunk 2077 for a wider range of players. Release Date and Availability: A Glimpse into the Future Although FSR 3 support for Cyberpunk 2077 is confirmed, a specific release date remains under wraps. Here's what we know so far: Confirmation with a Caveat: A CDPR spokesperson acknowledged the ongoing development of FSR 3 for Cyberpunk 2077 but couldn't provide a timeframe for its release. A Potential Timeline: Considering FSR 3's successful integration into titles like "Immortals Fenyx Rising" and "Starfield," the development process for Cyberpunk 2077 might be nearing completion. However, unforeseen challenges could cause delays. While an exact release date is unavailable, fans can hold onto the positive news and anticipate the performance improvements FSR 3 will bring to Night City. Looking Ahead: The Future of Cyberpunk 2077 The addition of FSR 3 signifies CDPR's commitment to enhancing the Cyberpunk 2077 experience, even after the dedicated development team has shifted focus. Here are some possibilities to consider for the future: Further Support: While major content updates might be unlikely, CDPR might continue to address critical bugs and glitches to ensure a more polished experience. Community Content: The modding community for Cyberpunk 2077 remains active. Players can explore a vast array of fan-created content that can further enhance and personalize their journeys in Night City. A Lasting Legacy: Despite its rocky launch, Cyberpunk 2077 continues to hold a special place in the hearts of many gamers. The addition of FSR 3 serves as a testament to CDPR's dedication to the title and its player base. Cyberpunk 2077's future might not involve sprawling expansions, but the confirmed FSR 3 support and the thriving modding community demonstrate the game's enduring appeal. FAQs: Q: Will FSR 3 be the only update Cyberpunk 2077 receives? A: While CDPR hasn't confirmed further updates, the focus seems to have shifted away from major content additions. However, the possibility of bug fixes and minor tweaks remains open. Q: How much of a performance improvement can I expect with FSR 3? A: The exact performance gains will depend on your hardware configuration. However, FSR 3 typically offers significant frame rate boosts, especially on less powerful systems.
