@ that anon: Don’t forget that (general) you cannot delineate from romanticization and depiction. You may be just targeting people who are posting NSFW fics but it’s like. Is the author a survivor of what they’re writing (equally as many survivors are proshippers)? Antis also disagree on what is ‘a proship’: including where an adult is groomed into violence, ‘sworn brothers’, ships where gore and abuse is a prominent theme, adult age gaps. Etc and so on. I understand the need to use fandom as an activist space but it’s honestly better just contributing positively (writing about things you like) and to warn about warning signs of abuse and grooming if it ever happens especially if your fandom targets the younger folk.
last anon here: this may be colored by the media I consume so it feels more ‘I may be uncomfortable with lolishota but when you’re calling adults who thirst for Ly.ndis from F.ire Emblem/Baku.go from B.NHA/T.im Drake from DC C.omics as ontologically evil, even in small or different ways, ya gotta wonder if they’re really on the right and correct side’ (dots so that it wouldn’t appear in search)
That's why I mentioned people who get caught in the crossfire; No matter how much you believe you can tell, you CANNOT tell everything about an author based solely on their writing. A lot of stuff that gets labelled "glorifying" and "fetishizing" is actually written by abuse survivors who are writing about the real abuse they faced, because guess what?? Abusers are often kind, they're often patient and understanding, they're often soft-spoken, they can even make you feel really special and important. If abusers were assholes all the time, do you really think any abuse would be successful?? MY abuser was nice to me literally most of the time, that's why it was so hard to leave!!! It doesn't downplay abuse to be honest about how it works!!!
As much as idiots like to believe otherwise, you CANNOT help both real people AND fictional characters. By helping one group, you automatically hurt the other. It is a direct causal relationship. If you protect fictional characters, it means real people can't write about abuse realistically, which hurts all of us. If you protect real people, it means fictional characters will become the target of fiction about abuse.
IT'S A GOOD THING THIS SHIT IS REALLY EASY TO SOLVE IF YOU KNOW THAT DRAWINGS OF ANIME CHARACTERS ARE NOT IMPORTANT AT ALL!!! IT'S NOT JUST THAT REAL PEOPLE MATTER MORE, IT'S THAT REAL PEOPLE MATTER PERIOD!!! IT IS NOT THAT FUCKING DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND IF YOU HAVE A BRAIN THAT WORKS!!!
But let's back up a bit here; The fundamental part of previous anon's argument, the one where you don't even have to abuse a real child to be a bad person, you don't even have to write FICTION about abusing children, literally just THINKING about abusing a child is what makes you evil, is something that literally no one would get behind if it was about anything other than child molestation, a thing that makes most of us instinctively flinch away in disgust.
No seriously, in what other context is this line of thinking acceptable?? In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, you're the mayor for the entire time you continue to play the game, even if you play it for 50 years, and you get to decide way more about the town than any real mayor would get, basically making you a dictator with no elections. Does it make you evil to WANT to play New Leaf? Not even ACTUALLY play it, but WANT to?? What about the previously mentioned Counter Strike example nobody will fucking answer?? Is it evil to just IMAGINE yourself playing Counter Strike even if you never play it because you're "attracted" to the idea of being a terrorist???
But let's take this logic a step further; Imagining yourself playing Guitar Hero makes you somewhat like someone who can actually play a real guitar. Imagining youself donating vast amounts of money to charity in a fictional story makes you good like someone actually donating real money to a real charity. Imagining yourself drawing you as a famous author is at least in the direction of being a real famous author in real life, so it's kinda the same thing, right? You should give me at least SOME praise for that accomplishment, because thoughts are what determine who you are always.
The logic is obviously fucking BONKERS, but somehow when it's about very specific hypersexualized* issues (*rape is not bad because of sex it's bad because of HARM), people just turn their brains off and harass people they SUSPECT have bad thoughts, they can't even prove it because they aren't mind readers, but they're totally okay with harming real people, because I guess if you believe thoughts matter more than action, you can commit all the harmful actions you could ever possibly want to commit, and as long as you think good thoughts, you're totally in the clear and you don't have to feel a single ounce of guilt over any of it.
It's so fucking transparently NOT about protecting anyone, and yet the only people who can't see it are themselves.
And yeah, everything else you said here, current anon? Totally spot-on. I have nothing to add. Warn people about what abuse looks like and otherwise write fics you like, that's a good message.

This really just reminds me of those YECs who are like "FINALLY I HAVE THE PERFECT EVIDENCE FOR THE EXISTENCE OF GOD!!! THOSE ATHEISTS WON'T BE ABLE TO DENY HIM ANY LONGER ONCE I TELL THEM THIS!!!" and it's literally a rehashed argument that was debunked by philosophers in ancient Greece.
For the five hundredth fucking time, no proshipper says that fiction doesn't affect reality. Seriously, drop this fucking strawman, it does nothing to help you. The very act of going, "You feel sad when a fictional character dies, therefore I get to harass real people and speculate about what they get off to directly to them." is a nonsequitor. A really obvious one at that. Are you stupid? Or do you just really want an excuse to attack people and feel morally superior while doing it?
Also for the five hundredth fucking time, "This makes me uncomfortable therefore it should be banned." puts a foot in the door for conservative homophobes who use their own personal sense of discomfort as an excuse to say that being queer is morally wrong, so they band together to ban all queer fiction, even if it's totally SFW. They could just avoid queer fiction since they don't like it, but instead, they decide it's harmful across the board and make sure NOBODY can read it, even people who would be helped by it.
But even if that wasn't the case, don't get it backwards. CSEM is disgusting BECAUSE it's immoral, not the other way around. I'll say it again, but it's WAY creepier to me to say "child abuse is bad because it makes me uncomfortable" than anything I've heard kinky freaks say about fictional pixels with a low number attached to them.
You can campaign for the rights of fictional characters, or you can campaign for the rights of real people. One or the other. You can't have both.
Fiction does affect reality because fictional cp is making you wet in real-time. Fiction does affect reality because then proshippers wouldn’t exist and be weird about sexualizing minors so much so it makes actual minors uncomfortable. To say it doesn’t affect reality is a naive assumption.
1) Calling it "fictional CP" is hugely disrespectful to victims of CSEM and you know that, you are being willfully obtuse. This has been something that so so many people have pointed out so so many times. Fictional content can NEVER BE comparable to the VERY REAL ABUSE that children go through when they are used for sexual gratification.
CSEM is not bad because naked children are gross and icky, CSEM is bad because a CHILD WAS HARMED to make it. Do you understand the difference? Do you understand why comparing someone's real trauma to a fanfic would be upsetting? Please talk to a fucking CSA survivor for ONCE.
2) Speculating on what "makes me wet" is sexual harassment.
3) I don't care if adult spaces make minors uncomfortable, they shouldn't be here. Drinking makes me uncomfortable so I don't go to bars, I don't preach abstinence from alcohol to adults who are capable of making their own decisions and doing what they like in designated areas for that activity, get it?
4) Please show me where I (or any other proshipper) has said, verbatim, that fiction doesn't effect reality. (I'll give you a hint: you can't, because this is a terrible straw man argument that has been debunked and refuted a thousand times.)
And you know what? Just for this stupid ass message, anon, I'm going to go write some underage porn. Thanks for the motivation.

JASPERSPRITE: Whats a timeline? :3 […] AC: :33 < ok imagine a long tempting strand of yarn […] AC: :33 < now imagine instead of being made of wiggly enticing stuff, its made of what lets you exist AC: :33 < and you are right at the twitching tip of it, dont you s33? […]
I like Nepeta's perspective here, that a timeline is made of 'what lets you exist'. She's saying, I think, that timelines are made out of reality - out of the firmament that distinguishes the multiverse from the Furthest Ring.
Her imagery suggests that she understands at least the basics of her world's deeper mechanics, despite not actually using this knowledge during her time on-panel. I would have liked to learn more about her perspective, but we're almost out of time. From where we're sitting, Nepeta's already dead.
AC: :33 < […] look at the sky! JASPERSPRITE: Meow yes i see the sky and can tell that indeed something is going on. JASPERSPRITE: But aside from that i dont really understand what you said being a cat and all.
Even though he’s a Sprite, the poor guy just doesn’t have the brainpower to use this information he's getting - and that's if Sprites are even told about Scratching.
The world’s being ripped to pieces, and he’s just going to watch the pretty colors until there is no more Jaspersprite. Someone please get this cat a ticket to the Yellow Yard.
AC: :33 < im a bit nervous for you, especially since you remind me so much of someone i already lost AC: :33 < but maybe youll be ok? i dont know
It’s difficult to say. The troll sprites were implied to have died when their session ended, but this session isn’t really ending; it’s being rebooted. Sprites might be doomed in a normal game, but we’re pretty far outside of normal parameters, so there may still be hope.
...right, Sburb? I'm right, aren't I?
...Sburb?
AC: :33 < did you ever have someone nice back on earth who you loved? […] AC: :33 < […] i bet lots of girl cats would have loved to be with you, if only there had b33n some around to hear your lovely meows :33 JASPERSPRITE: Youre really nice to say so nepeta what about you though? […] AC: :33 < […] yes i have liked somebody for quite some time, but alas he doesnt know it
Nepeta’s tale is one of missed opportunities. She never got to wax poetic about her love of shipping, never got to confess her feelings to to Karkat, and - let's be entirely honest with ourselves - never really got to be a character at all.
Now, if you’re an optimist, you could take this as evidence that Nepeta’s story isn’t over – that we’ll be expanding on her character in the Dream Bubbles, perhaps.
I'm... let's say I'm a realist.
I think Nepeta is simply a victim of Homestuck's enormous character roster. Ever since Hivebent started, it's become increasingly obvious that there are some 'important' trolls, and some less important ones. This isn't a bad thing - it's just how fiction works, and it would be borderline impossible to juggle rich, satisfying, 8000-page arcs for sixteen primary characters, no matter how quickly you're putting up panels.
Tumblr media
Nepeta simply isn't a protagonist. She's a total sweetheart, but in the end, she didn't make the cut.
JASPERSPRITE: Maybe you can win his affection by rubbing your cheek against him thats what i would do. AC: :33 < ohhh no no no, im too shy even for that! […] AC: :33 < its hard to explain, maybe cats think diffurntly, but trolls tend to be pretty cautious about expressing their f33lings when it comes to the flushed quadrant JASPERSPRITE: Whats a quadrant? […] AC: :33 < a quadrant is a thing in a group of things that consists of four similar things JASPERSPRITE: Like paws? AC: :33 < EXACTLY like paws!!! :DD
But damn, if she isn’t a sweetheart.

everyone who writes and supports miles smut can block me, that includes 42 btw.
PLEASE SHARE THIS TO ANYONE WHO SUPPORTS AGED UP MINORS (SPECIFICALLY MILES MORALES)
TW: BELOW THE CUT IS DISCUSSION OF P//DO, UNDERAGE CONTENT. (I don’t go too far into detail but I know some people have been affected by it).
elaboration on why aging up (for sexual purposes) is bad
miles is canonically 15 and dont even pull that “he’s aged up” shit with me cause you know damn well on aged up fanfics they use pictures of CANON MILES. so its pretty obvious u have the teen in your mind. and you know what the ones that are around his age are annoying too but it doesnt put nearly of a bad taste in my mouth as the GROWN ASS ADULTS who make that shit.
and btw dont go and say “oh, it’s hormones and plus miles has hormones” and to that i have to say:
1. if you are a child who likes miles like that, fine, deal with that shit in private tho. you posting s*xual content of a minor is catering to creepy adults online
2. if you’re an adult saying that shit then i can say nothing less that you have the mindset of a groomer. You’re not very far from the mfs who say that “teenage girls are at their ripe age at 16.” you as an adult SHOULD NOT be using teenagers having hormones to your advantage and excuse. That’s disgusting.
“they’re just a fictional character” 😟 can you get a grip? go outside. Miles is a fictional character who is BUILT and DESIGNED to look like a teenager. And astv aint that unrealistic that you can say he’s ambiguous. He’s not. And even if he was he does activities that I do as a teen—I go to high school, I’m nervous about my future—miles is literally a relatable teen, as he was designed to be.
“Then stop looking for the smut posts.” I DONT NEED TO! It infiltrates my ASTV tag and at times the Hobie Brown tags too. You act like your tags aren’t public. If someone wanted to read a Miles fic that was normal fluff they would have to scroll through some smut too!
anyway thats all and dont even both coming up in my comments and reposts throwing a hissy fit you niggas r weird asf and can block me. maybe then id see less weird shit on my tag page. do us all a favor and log off.
+ Update: His ages from any other media isn’t a valid excuse. If you were clearly writing for canon adult miles you wouldn’t have astv miles as the icons and astv as the tag.
+ Update: Miles is CANONICALLY 15 in the first movie, and somewhere in the last movie he was YOUNGER. As mentioned above, mentioning other media as an excuse is bs when in the movies your writing for (itsv, atsv) he’s clearly a minor.
+ The thing that pisses me off the most is how ya’ll act like the people who are uncomfortable are weird. Are you not writing s*xual content about a 15 year old on a daily basis? please.
+ Fiction DOES affect reality. Why do you think people have nightmares after horror? Why does a sad film make people cry? Why does a deep movie change perspective?
+ In the scene where Miles argues with his parents, he says something along the lines of “I’m 15!!!” So if you think he’s not underage, you either didn’t pay attention or don’t have google. Plus what 18 year old discusses college that late? (without any other discussions prior?)
+ if you like little boys stop tryna hide that you like little boys it makes you even more manipulative and gross. no but in all seriousness telling minors that behavior is okay has gotta be SOME form of grooming on a more subtle scale. sorry if that’s too bold for ya’ll but as someone who’s been tricked into thinking content like this was okay when I was younger, I can confirm that this isn’t okay.
+ If to prove character that’s canonically a minor isn’t one you have to pull up seven different source materials that barely correlate to the one you write for, that character is still a fucking minor! It’s giving “she’s actually 3000!!!” when she looks 8.
yeah. kay bye!!!

just wanted to let you know that johnnys-breastmilk is a proshipper in case you didn’t know <33
hi i know you mean well but i am well aware of the people i interact with. me and the block button are close friends <3 theres been a lot of hostility from both sides this week so here's grounds for a calmer discussion about it.
honestly i think the pro/anti ship labels are reductive and redundant. just because someone explores darker themes in their writing/hcs doesnt mean theyre open to ship anything. there is no definition to what being 'proship' is other than letting people use their creative outlet to explore whatever themes they want. would i identify with this? no because i have limits. just like you. just like J-B. but do i also believe people should be policed into only writing socially acceptable themes and relationships? also no. the thing about the limits is that it looks different for everyone. am i a proshipper for writing and enjoying noncon fics? to some people yes! to some people no! would i write and enjoy underage or beastiality fic? no because theyre hard limits for me (and probably are for a lot of people). to some people we're all in the same immorality boat but i think there's a nuance that an all-encompassing label refuses to acknowledge. 'proship' is reductive because it doesnt actually MEAN anything. sure they could be a genuinely harmful person and hurting a community through their content but 95% of the time theyre not!
when it comes to something like incest (hot topic in the tcm fandom) maybe take a moment and consider why someone would be into a topic like that, why they enjoy exploring that theme in a safe way through writing or drawing etc. sure fiction can affect reality but often times reality also affects fiction. im not saying you have to enjoy the posts but opening your mind and offering some grace to the people who need an outlet explore these themes doesnt hurt.
in the early days of this fandom i did not enjoy seeing incest posts (specifically johnny/sissy*) so i did what i know best: block the blogs and blacklisted the tags. it worked !! as time has passed ive become much more open to the themes of incest in tcm. for me, when i interact with these themes its not to fulfil some kind of desire, it's usually analytical discussion: realistically what would these people do? what dynamics are formed if you introduced these themes? you unlock a world of potential by looking at things through a lense you normally wouldnt, especially a taboo one. however, just because this is how i prefer to interact with these topics, it doesnt make the people who have a more emotional connection to them any weirder than me, if anything i find myself grateful to not have an emotional reaction strong enough to the point of needing an outlet to process them and you should too!
*i later realised that the reason i initally didn't vibe with johnny/sissy was actually because i didnt enjoy the way people characterised them in that dynamic and not because of the 'incest' (theyre not even related lol).
i just think everyone should be a bit more open-minded and nicer to eachother. and this goes both ways. im not saying you have to be into this shit. if you arent then block it and move on without whining about it in the tags. if you are into it you have to accept that not everyone is. just block any disingenious comments/questions. you will not change their mind.
tldr; im not one to post too much about taboo topics like incest/necro etc but im not gonna hate or even disagree with people who do. if you get genuinely mad over this then just take a moment to think about what kind of people post about darker topics and why they may need to do so.

After watching the first episode of The Idol, I could already see some aspects of the “4 steps of cult recrutament” in Joss and Tedros’ relationship:
Picking the right target:  Research has shown that the people who are the most susceptible to recruitment are stressed, emotionally vulnerable, have tenuous or no family connections, or are living in adverse socioeconomic conditions.
Joss is said to have had a nervous breakdown and the loss of her mother doesnt help much.
Love-bombing: Having identified a stressed, emotionally vulnerable target, cults flood that person with affection, flattery, and validation. Cult awareness educator Ronald N. Loomis described this practice on college campuses as involving “a recruiter approaching the student and doing everything [they] can to make the student feel special and unique. They’re quickly trying to convey the message that I am your new best friend. And they will fake mutual interests in order to give the impression that they share many things in common.”
In the last scene of the first episode, Joss shows Tedros her new song, which she’s not confident in it’s potencional, that the song is too superficial. He assures her that the song is good but doesn't think she is confident enough to sing it and it's only after she "accepts" his invitation (the asphyxiation part) that he says she will be able to sing the song
Isolation:  Once they’ve enticed a recruit with approval or the promise of some fulfilling understanding of the universe, cultists then work to isolate the recruit. Often, this takes the form of a weekend retreat, where the recruit is immersed in the cult’s ideology over the course of a few days. Not only are recruits physically isolated from friends and family members who might otherwise provide a reality check, but cults often isolate recruits from outside information.
Joss already feels like it. The people around her all work for her and lie to her. In the trailer we see that Dyanne, someone who Joss is jealous cuz she “wishes she could dance like her”, is going to sign with Joss’ label. I don’t think they are going to make Jennie’s character a full villain (The Weeknd’s character is obviously the main villain, the summaries confirm it) but I believe Tedros is going to take this as a opportunity to isolate Joss futhermore from her staff.
Keeping control:  After convincing you that they’re the best friends you’ve ever had and bombarding you with the cult’s ideology, the cultists’ next job is to make sure they hang on to you. There’s a variety of techniques they can use to accomplish this, but these usually involve iteratively subjecting the cult recruit to terror and love.
Again, back to the last scene in the first episode. Tedros even mentions Joss’ deceased mother during the scene, something that she is still getting over it. That was a emoticional manipulating so he could recruit and control her.
I actually believe that was Amy Seimetz inicial intentions for the plot. Sam Levinson is an awful person but as far as I know he wasn’t the one who started with the idea. Seimetz wanted to show the dark side of fame, Levinson only a dark side.
I’m happy that people are not seeing it as a romantic relationship, but different from many I feel that, if done right, those kind of emotional maniputation could be made for TV and film, show that there are people like this in this world, that not everything is sugar and sweet, but also show that those people are also awful. Show the side that they let the victim see and then show their true form. Again, IF done right, something I don’t think Sam Levi will ever do. I hope that with time, The Weeknd’s character is shown like that. That they dont just sugarcoat his relationship with Joss.
Better show something fictional than fictionaze some real tragedy and have people romanticize it like some did with Dahmer.

Welcome to Warriorplots!
Hello! I'm the sole owner/admin of this blog. You can call me Mason or Millie, I use she/her pronouns (subject to change)! I read my first warriors book about 9 years old & was completely smitten all the way through elementary school, though I only got as far as the end of OotS & half of the first book of AVoS. That's where I stopped for good unfortunately, so I know virtually nothing about any books after that or any super editions (save for Bluestar's Prophecy, but who doesnt know that one really?). Because of this, and a general dislike for the way the books are written, I like to lean more on things like fan comics & OCS -- that's why I made this blog! I think about these cats quite a lot and so come up with a number of ideas for characters & plots, many more than can fit in my own stories; this is where I'll share them, as well as other folks' submitted ideas!
Posts may be very slow until I can start getting more submissions. Currently I am aiming for a post every other day. Thanks for reading :]
Rules:
1- Submissions containing ableism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, elements of real life racism (canon typical cat racism is generally OK, just dont send in like. cat named Whiteheart hates all specifically black cats because they're obviously evil in their hearts or whatever) or generally any bigotry are not allowed & will not be posted.
2- Nothing NSFW in submissions. Violence and such is alright, but dont get sexual about the feral cats on main.
4- This is not a discourse blog. Do not submit anything intentionally inflammatory or discourse related. Be friends here please.
5- I will tag any triggers I'm asked to (within reason of course). Any discourse around or making fun of any tagged triggers is extremely not allowed. Please keep in mind however, I am only human; If I forget to tag something, please gently remind me. Dont start yelling unless I've repeatedly missed them. In that case get mean.
6- Submissions with things like incest, pedophilia, or large age gaps, intentional or not & romanticised or not, will be deleted. Asks telling me this rule is bad because "free speech" or "fiction doesnt affect reality" or "theyre feral cats it happens all the time" will also be deleted. I will not debate this; this is not a discourse blog, yes, but I have the right to not engage with topics that make me uncomfortable no matter how mad it makes you. Go somewhere else. Thanks.
7- Cringe culture is dead. You are NOT allowed to call anyone's ideas (including your own) cringe/lame/whatever. This blog is for funzies!
8- Crossover ideas are 100% okay, I think they could be great fun. I probably wont post any crossovers with significantly problematic media or any media that makes me personally uncomfortable though.
9- If you believe I have posted anything that breaks any of these rules or is generally shitty, please let me know!
Tagged topics (Open to edits/expansion):
-Death (#tw death /#tw animal death / #tw cat death)
-Kits being harmed (does not include regular sickness, but please let me know if you would like it to) (#tw kit harm / #tw kitten harm) #tw kit death if applicable)
-Animal harm (#tw animal harm + specific tags depending on who exactly is being harmed & how)
-Violence (#tw violence)
-Gore (extreme/detailed descriptions of wounds or gore or very extreme violence) (tw gore)
-SH/suicide (note, extreme or poorly handled descriptions of this will not be posted at all, this is only for posts that mention it casually & without detail) (#tw sh / #tw suicide depending)

If you do not like what other people like, then this is not a reason to insult them.
You must distinguish the real world from fiction. If you can't do that, can you stop using social media, please? Why can't you just NOT watch posts tagged "Beluz" if you're so easily hurt by drawings?
Do you really want so badly to draw other people's attention to the fact that you do not like something that they like? Or do you think that if you insult them, then something will change?
Just don't interact with people whose content you don't like. Do yourself and them a favor
hey bucko, you seem to be lacking some braincells, so let me shed some light on that dark, empty brain of yours! 🙂
see, this is how the internet functions, bud! i make an opinion post on things i find that really grind my gears, as most people do on social media! before said post, i did not actively seek out any beluz posts. in fact, i have done my damn best to avoid them. a beluz supporter came on MY post, basically begging for attention at that rate.
you see, champ, what you dont seem to understand is that fiction bleeds into reality very often! take that one slenderman case, for example. yknow the one. that was caused by, you guessed it, fiction!
i do not actively engage with beluz shippers, i am primarily nonconfrontational! but theres a difference when someone who tries to defend it comes forward, clinging on to the mindset that 'fiction is fiction', which can be correct in some cases! when someone uses silly headcanons for a character that doesnt actively harm anyone, fiction is fiction! its a character, usually headcanons come from a form of projection in most cases.
however, bringing in pedophilia into the mix is when shit gets weird. y'see, pedophilia in all forms is wrong, something everyone is taught at a young age. common sense, right? when you take a young character and try to ship them with a much older, mature character, its obviously not right. everyone is aware of this.
fiction is just the projection of reality. i mean, realistically, if you saw a young girl dating an older man, you would be disgusted, wouldnt you? so why is it different within fiction? ill answer it for you, because people believe they can hide behind the face of fiction to condone their disgusting actions. pedophilia is pedophilia, regardless! see, get this, according to the Section 1466A of Title 18, United State Code, it's illegal for any person to knowingly produce, distribute, receive, or possess with intent to transfer or distribute visual representations, such as drawings, cartoons, or paintings that appear to depict minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and are deemed obscene.
and that's just in america. it is ALSO illegal in the UK and Canada and many more countries! fiction does affect reality. many insults are warranted here in this situation, because news flash, pedophiles and those who encourage pedophilia are disgusting!
please get a grip, hope this helped, buckaroo! <33

I'm sending u luv n support thru these trying times. Thank you for making that post!!! I'm a CSA and COCSA survivor, and as someone who uses fiction to cope with the trauma from those experiences, I think it's important to remind people that while fiction can affect reality, it doesn't affect it on a 1 to 1 scale and just bc someone enjoys something happening to fictional characters in entirely fictional worlds, DOESNT mean they enjoy those things in real life nor does it mean they want bad things to happen to REAL animals, children, or adults. Anyways, you're doing amazing!!! 💖💖💖💖💖
Thank you and I hope you're doing well!

hey, im a radqueer considering leaving the community. if you dont mind, could you argue against transabled identities, proship and pro para for me? im asking this in good faith, i genuinely am considering leaving and changing my views
/gen
hi, very proud of you taking this step, youre very brave. well theres tons and tons of anti transabled stuff already on this blog, if you search by #anti radqueer or #anti transabled it would probably show most of it, or not tumblr kinda sucks
the main thing youll see is us talking about how transabled promotes people fakeing stuff they dont have, lying to people, usinging stereotypical stuff, aesthetising disorders and disabilities, being aggressive towards those with biid who arnt transid, n all that. it is very harmful to pretend to be or lie about these kinds of stuff, like really ableist. its also harmful for those kinds of people to enter spaces of the people they are pretending to be like.
i dont see anything wrong with pro para personally aslong as its strictly anti-contact and anti abuse yaknoe, so like no hands on kids, animal, bodys, grooming, so on. you can absolutely support paraphiles while also not supporting abuse or paraphiles potentially hurting themselves or getting into trouble.
pro shipping, altho this blog isnt necessary for this its still a part of radqueer shit ig. the whole argument about it is its fiction and that "doesnt affect reality", which can be proven wrong very very fast with things like propaganda, but theres more than just that. theres also the argument that its a coping mechanism for some, but like just because you use something to cope does absolutely not make it good or justify you doing it really. idk im not very into ship discorce so maybe someone who knows more can argue for me.
id theres anything else dont be scared to send more asks id be happy to try my best at helping, tho i hope that this blog will help in guiding u :]

I've been following you on Twitter and you're really cool but I'm really concerned if you're normal or not. You have proship dni in bio, but you follow proshippers like lawlu and even acesabo and I know you used to follow a coralaw shipper. You keep interacting with lawlu and mipero shippers and are friends with proshippers' friends, too. Also your account is 16+ but you're following a 15yo kid. I'm worried if you're really okay to keep following or one of the weirdos that pretends to be normal.
hmm im really looking to stay out of any fights or drama buuuuuut ultimately i think its important for everyone to make informed decisions abt their own safety so ill just give a quick rundown of what im about 👍🏻
first of all... what 15 year old am i following?! i assure you its not on purpose.
second, ultimately i think "anti/proship" is kind of reductive discourse. i like psychosexual horror and toxic relationships and self shipping. and i dont think everyone who enjoys exploring dark topics is an abuse apologist. i do think sometimes people can be reactive and overcorrect with those things. there are plenty of grey areas!!
HOWEVER anyone who actively identifies as "proship", or believes strongly enough to start debating people about how "fiction doesnt affect reality" and has no bearing on rape/abuse culture is a fucking idiot. i especially cant stand anything shipping characters with their childhood caretakers or incest. which is what im trying to weed out w/ the DNI. ill always have more sympathy for "antis" even if i dont always agree with them.
that being said, theres certain things that personally ick me out that I don't find morally reprehensible/block worthy. i would never post or encourage la/wlu or mihawk/perona - the age gaps are gross to me - but i also don't think theyre really that bad. not nearly on the same level as something like coralaw or shanksluffy. like, peronas fully an adult and luffy only really gets to know law when hes 19 already. but i can promise id never retweet or reblog anything with those ships.
in general i try to give people the benefit of the doubt and don't hold people responsible for who they interact with (within reason). people are not necessarily friends with everyone they follow. people often use twitter much more casually.
im also like, a person, with a full time job, and i dont always extensively comb through someones twitter. sometimes i follow someone i think draws normal cora + law or asl brothers and i get jumpscared by nasty shit and it is! very unpleasent for me!
i care a lot about abuse/rape culture and how we as individuals are still complicit in it and can combat it, and I apply feminist analysis to all types of media - even fanworks. i was legit traumatized by 2010s fandom, and saw a lot of people get hurt and abused by fandom adults, so I know the effects of this "anything goes" mentality can have on people! i wish we could have these discussions without getting defensive and hostile and accusing nervous teenagers of being evangelical zealots (🙄) because theyre trying to protect themselves
if anything i said is something youre not comfortable with, then thats fair and block me if you need to. i encourage anyone, especially younger people, to enforce their own boundaries as they see fit. 👍🏻

i dont know how to say this in any other way, but i really fucking hate fandom
and i mean the blanket idea of "fandom" as group participatory act(s) surrounding a piece of media, person/artist/musician, or anything that can garner a following. any fandom. i hate them all, even the ones for the pieces of media that i like. those ones fucking suck too, maybe most of all because i have to be inundated with the bullshit that always follow fandom but especially about the things that i like.
my main beef is that there is always an assumed baseline in fandom spaces, like the one i ran into a lot was if you like bbc sherlock, you must ship johnlock. if you don't youre a fucking weirdo and didnt "understand the media" but thats just a large one, every person participating in the fandom has their own set of baseline assumptions that they expect everyone to follow when in their space. so then people get into arguments over what is that baseline because theres insult over someone assuming how someone else felt about or saw something. this is made even more evident when theres things about speculation and theorycrafting.
the problem is, all of this stuff is opinion based and because its largely fiction that fandoms are based around, its all highly objective too and there are no hard rules on any of it. in fact, people act like there are a set of mandated rules about what you do, say, and be in a fandom space even if theres fucking none because we're all just a bunch of decentralized weirdos that like the same things.
which brings me to my next point about how liking the same things doesnt mean youre friends. its really nice to find people that share interests that you can discuss stuff with and share your love of the common interest but a large swath of people you oft interact with on the internet arent your friends, but people act with both playful (and often unreadable) antagonism that you do with a close friend when thats highly uncalled for. i really dont like playful ribbing anyway and it feels worse when it comes from someone i dont know.
and then theres the moralizing over things within the fiction, or the dreaded "is this thing problematic?" discussion that circles every few years and people dont want to accept that the answer for every piece of media ever created is "YES" and then fail to be mature enough about it to discuss whether those problematic elements are affecting real harm because the other dreaded discussion of "does fiction affect reality" the answer is always "FUCKING OF COURSE" but no one wants to accept that either because of the aforementioned moralizing over every damn thing contained by the media.
stop being catholic for two seconds and see yourself as an single autonomous person and so long as what you enjoy and how you interact with people in shared spaces is making an effort to not cause harm (and understand that even with our best efforts, you will always be capable of doing harm unintentionally or not, regardless of mental health, disability, etc) you are fine and dont need to subject yourself to large masses of toxic people in order to get your daily dose of your favorite ship's fan art. recognize that all of them are also autonomous people and not a hivemind of "fandom" and likely whatever beefs are circulating they dont account for the nuance that came with being a fucking individual person.
whew.
sorry if this is nonsensical or too stream of consciousness, this isnt about anything in particular i am just almost 30 and seeing the same things happen over and over in fandoms new and old is grating on me and reminds me how ive never meshed with "fandom" spaces and only found true enjoyment by having my small group of friends and sharing stuff between us privately, not on a social media scale. i think a lot of us could do better with doing more of that.

strawberrys thoughts >:3 also a long rant qwq
TW:TALK ABOUT ABUSE/BAD STUFF LIKE THAT AND HOW IT TOO COMMONLY ROMANTICIZED IN MEDIA AND CW?:TALKING ABOUT CRINGE AND SHIPPING(that all i cans think of :3)
I believe in do what you want online as long as it doesnt hurt you or others be as cringe as you want while staying safe make that cringe fanfic, drawing or post, get that tattoo do your makeup the way you want even if it seems cringe ship that ship even if it considered cringe or disliked in it fandom as long as you arent hurting anyone and it not normalizing/romantizing bad stuff it okay in my thoughts :3
Anyways
Lets talk about the somewhat romantialization(is that even the right word? qwq) and somewhat normaliztion of abuse/harmful things in media(normally books) that is normally ignored when talked about how fiction affects reality also this is all my thoughts and going to drop the emoticons :[
If we want a way of showing how fiction can affect reality, it is best to look at most romances. Media abuse or predatory relationships are sadly way too commonly seen as romantic, which has caused them to become normalized and seen as desirable or hot. Yes, you may not want said relationship, but you are still romanticizing it. Am I saying people who read or watch these TV shows are the devil? No, do I think the maker is? No, but yes, kind of? I find them actively in a way normalize extremely horrible things, and trying to pass it off as lovely, dovey, and oh so romantic is horrible when it shows them abusing their partner or stalking said love interest, or shows us an age gap that may be legal but is morally wrong, or it just straight up up illegal, and no, it doesn't matter if it's 17x14; it's still creepy. one has just started high school and the other one is about to finish it and one of the worst case of this type of stuff is in romance books that shows straight up abuse and no no stuff happening and it being passed off as "romantic" and "s*xy" and seemed to normally be seen the same way from most readers and it not seen as bad in the writing nor is it ever writen where whats happening is actally not romantizing it and the few that may have a person fight for the love interest that person is shown as insane and getting between 2 love birds or if the love interest staying up for themselves they are victim blamed and their aduser is babied by the characters i also hate how stalking protracted in some media and making it seem "cutesy" or "romantic" when it not nor should it be viewed like that ,producer/maker and most of the fans do as well and fans ether ignore it or defend it with victim blaming or by babying the abuser i am so tried of people not ever talking about this when talking about whether or not fiction affects reality as this shows how fiction can affect reality in it purest form also sorry if this sounds like me just repeating myself so I will stop here though might come back to this subject someday and probably if asked will make a posts for videos to watch if you want a deep dive on this.
(i recommend looking for videos about this as it will probably be able to go in depth about this topic :3)
I dont hate proshippers/profiction nor do i hate antis or am i anti anti
me and tv share morals in believing that “Your right to swing your arms ends just where the other man’s nose begins.” and  It means that the freedom to exercise one's rights ends at the point at which the exercise of that right harms another.(gots this from googles UWU)

PROSHIPPING: why it's wrong and why it should stop
Hello hi- back to post again from the endless abyss I tend to disappear to- Now I don't care if don't fully agree with me on this, but please acknowledge this stuff can very much ACTIVELY HARM PEOPLE- but some things that should be acknowledged is - this will discuss heavy topics, so if you are sensitive to topics like gr00ming and 1nc3st please proceed with caution - underage people(kids, people under 18) can be proshippers, but you shouldn't attack them- like anyone else- you should try to be kind and re-educate them because attacking will make them less keen on hearing you out - attacking never helps now with that over let's begin ADULT X MINOR/UNDERAGED CHARACTER I don't think I'd need to explain what's wrong with this, but for some I will- Adults can consent to things like adult stuff- minors cannot as the prefrontal cortex has not finished developing yet. and reminder MINORS ARE LESS DEVELOPED THAN AN ADULT. IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO THE MINOR WITH A CERTAIN THING THEY CAN ACTUALLY GET SERIOUSLY HARMED. and I already know people will make the argument "BuT iTs FiCtIon iT dOEsNt AffEcT ReaLiTy" mind you media/fiction does influence people. your personalities. your morals etc. can all be based on people online or by things you learn through books, ect. things have happened because someone scene a certain thing in media and acted upon said thing. so don't try to use that argument in this context of proshipping. FAMILY MEMBER X FAMILY MEMBER I don't even need to explain.. just search up what happens with incest. I'm not putting myself through that. VICTIM X KILLER(or just the person harming the victim) in this the victim is someone harmed by the killer and such. they are manipulated and tend to be just in a very bad situation. this is romanticization of a bad and toxic situation that actually can be a real situation people go through and it's actually scary to even imagine.. people suffer from these situations. it's just disgusting.. GR00MING(why some people tend to do proshipping) some people sadly tend to get into proshipping because they've been gr00med into thinking it's okay. It's a very real thing that has happened and something I've actually experienced- this is why people who tend to be a proshipper are kids themselves anyways a lot of relationships and proships are very toxic and actually are harmful things people actually go through- it's disgusting to ship these things and people need to realize this. no I'm not just gonna let people have good opinions on these things get people actively harmed by this stuff- or just hurt people who have been affected by these things. Sure don't bother people over ships, but there is a line to be drawn and people very much LEAP OVER SAID LINE p3d0ph1lic relationships should not be shipped as its actually fucking disgusting 1nc3st should not be shipped and it is FUCKING DIGUSTING ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIPS SHOULD NOT BE SHIPPED AND ROMANTICIZED AS ITS FUCKING DIGUSTING AND TRAUMATIZING. Sorry for the tangent, but people need to see why it's wrong. no excuses. no jokes. it's wrong full stop. and I get it if you feel it's okay because people have told you it is, but please realize how harmful it is. anyways thanks for reading if anyone wants to discuss stuff please do so calmly and civilly in replies

i- bro, bro. bro. i cannot. im doing bullet points because otherwise i fear ill lose all sense of coherency.
• censorship is a slippery slope. allowing it in any capacity opens the door for it to be pushed. this is why books like 1984 and fahrenheit 451 are so important for everyone to read, and, ironically, why those books get banned as forms of (guess what) censorship.
• having problems with individual proshippers or the proship community doesnt change what the word proship means.
• being anti harassment is, yes, fundamental to being proship. "proshippers" who harass others arent proshippers, theyre assholes who are misusing the ideaological label of proship. being proship/profiction is built upon "live and let live" and fighting against censorship and harassment.
• "and thats only how people who are proship define it" ?? yeah so the proship community at large might know a thing or two about their own ideaological label. following an idealogy in good faith (minding the assholes who use the term in bad faith to defend their assholery) means you probably know what that ideaology is about.
• "people can dislike something without saying it needs to be banned" congrats! thats what being proship/profiction is. not all proshippers enjoy all types of dark fiction, not do they necessarily support its creation by liking or engaging with it. they just agree it shouldnt be banned/censored. youve just roundabouted your way back to being proship??
• adding an example to the prev. point: im a proshipper. i dont enjoy all dark fiction, in particular i get grossed out by loli and shota fiction. i disengage with it, i block people who use those tags, and i dont leave positive support on lolishota works. however, i am still proship, because i am against the banning/censorship of that fictional content, and i believe it has a right to exist even if i keep myself away from it.
• the proship community does address a lot of nuance, like when discussing things like the slendermen stabbing case. fiction can affect reality, but the person affected is still responsible for any crimes they decide to commit. lolishota content might be consumed by a pedophile who intends to offend, but the lolishota content cant be blamed if that pedophile offends. the real person is blamed for their actions. this is just a recycle of the "viDeOgAmEs cAuSe viOlEnCe" or "rAp mUsiC cAuSeS viOlEnCe" arguments that have been disproven time and time again.
• the proship community not "addressing nuance" from what i typically see, is in regards to harassment and censorship. obviously we agree that harassment is never okay. theres no nuance to be had, harassment is always wrong. the part i fear you disagree with me on, is that censorship is ALSO always wrong. which is a rant millions of people before me have gone on, and illustrated, such as in books like the ones i mentioned previously that have been banned in many places (in an act of deep dramatic irony, proving their points about censorship)
• being anti censorship is what being proship means at its core. if youre anti censorship, you arent anti proship. thats simply not what these words mean, and its a big reason why proshippers have started calling antis "censorshippers" to highlight their fundamental pro censorship ideals. since being pro censorship is what the clash is between proshippers and antis.
• "and to act like dark themes, kink, and wanting to protect fandom fun and creative freedom is proship ideals is just. no." youre... kidding right? do you really just not understand what it means to be proship/profiction? particularly the "dark themes" bit. what dark themes are you referring to? which dark themes are "okay" and which ones make you a proshipper? id love to see where youre drawing that line because i bet itll reveal your hypocracy even more.
• conclusion: OP doesnt know what proship means, or what being an anti means, or what idealogies are.
You can be against the proship community and be anti-harassment.
You can be against the proship community and be pro-kink.
You can be against the proship community like dark themes in fiction.
You can be anti-proship and want fandom spaces to be safe and allow for creative freedom.
