Coming here always gave Narvin a bit of a pang in his hearts. One of the many things Romana had overlooked when she replaced him as Coordinator was that, per regulations, she would be taking his living quarters as well. And take them she had - the place was so cluttered now he could hardly recognize it as the same sterile installation it had been when he’d lived here. That part didn’t bother Narvin, though. He’d never made himself at home here; these rooms were a place to sleep and wash, nothing more. But the view, he always thought when he knocked on Romana’s door. That heart-stopping view of the city sprawled out below him, every district and sector, the old and the new. It was angled just so that the tallest towers aligned like stars in Orion’s belt. His new quarters were on the other side of the Capitol, with a view of the mountains. Romana kept the blinds here closed.

Subspace Rhapsody ost [lyric video] - I finally finished Star Trek: Strange New Worlds this week and the musical episode was as good as everyone said it was.

Bodies - I really like the concept, but I'm only two episodes in and I have so many questions.

Kiseki: Dear To Me - The last episode was basically a series of epilogues tying up loose ends (the elder gays even got their happy ending!). Such a great show. I loved it.

Last Twilight - Surprisingly not terrible. I really like the story so far and I'm interested enough to watch the next episode at least.

Love is Panacea - In general, it's a little bland so far. But I do like the friendship that is developing between the four leads, and I'm completely charmed by Wei'an.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - Finished off the last three episodes. "Under the Cloak of War" was about what I expected. But "Subspace Rhapsody" and the finale made up for that in spades. And they got their first season finale cliffhanger! That's a right of passage for a Trek show. Season two was an excellent set of episodes overall and I am very much looking forward to season three.

Look, I get the appeal of catharsis fics where everyone realises how terribly the Character suffered. And I do get the appeal of exaggeration. But you can't deny every third BNHA fic reads like this:

"So... do you mean..." Aizawa spoke slowly, forcing himself to sound calm. "...you have to do laundry every week?" Deku shrugged. "Well, yeah, if I don't want to run out of clothes. But it's... fine?," and, dear god, he really believed that. "I just sort out my clothes, and go to the laundry room, and load them into the drum, and wash them, and then there's the spin cycle-" "Enough!" Aizawa shuddered. He would make everyone who had ever hurt this kid regret their pathetic existences.

and every third wormfic reads like this

Emma slammed her head against the bunker door again. A thin trickle of blood ran down the rusted metal. It reminded her, sickeningly, of what she had done to Taylor, and the country-wide septic plague her stupid actions had unleashed. They said Panacea had died instantly of an aneurysm upon merely touching Taylor's necrotic, worm-ravaged body, and without Brockton Bay's greatest healer to protect them, America had been helpless against the power of a lockerful of rotted menstrual waste. She hadn't seen the sun for two months. She hadn't heard a human voice in weeks, since the other survivors figured out who did this. She was alone. Suddenly, the metal she leaned against reverberated with - a knock? Emma scrambled dizzily to her feet. She would take any human voice at this point, even fucking Hebert, if that bitch was somehow alive. The lock clicked, and the door swung open. On the other side stood Carol Dallon. Emma broke down sobbing, but before she could gasp out her gratitude, Mrs. Dallon spoke: "Ms. Barnes? The Hebert estate is suing you for attempted murder and aggravated assault with a bioweapon."

Next time you are writing a fic where Panacea has a notable presence but not necessarily the prime focus, pull a fast one on your readers by making her psychosexually obsessed with something other than Vicky. Do not reveal this fact immediately. See for how long until they notice something's off.
