Buck’s a sight when he’s enjoying himself, all big and beefy and brawny but so gentle, so soft and tender, and Eddie missed Buck’s lack of inhibition and genuineness. He missed it so much he didn’t realize it was hurting until it stopped.  “Deal,” Buck agrees, scrubbing his hand down his face. He’s less red now—more pink, maybe, like those peonies Eddie planted in the backyard. Pretty. “How’s your ankle?”  Eddie blinks a few times to get Buck’s pink face out of his mind. “It’s fine,” he lies. His painkillers wore off a few minutes ago and he’s had worse, yeah, but that doesn’t mean it’s not aching. “I mean, it hurts, but it’s fine. It was partially my fault, anyway.”  “How?”  “I wore sneakers with a tall sole hoping I could get some inches on Tommy and the other guys,” he explains, shaking his head. He knows better—there’s a reason he never wears shoes when he’s doing legs at the gym. “I’m having a hard time accepting I’m five-eleven and a half.”  (Fuck what his doctor says, the half inch is important.)  Buck makes a goofy face. “I mean, it could be worse,” he says, holding both hands up in surrender. “You could be as short as Chim.”  Eddie reaches around on the couch for a balled up napkin and throws it right at Buck’s face. “You’re horrible!” he says, but he’s vindicated in being validated. He ought to now Buck isn’t ever going to leave him to flounder.  “Yeah, yeah. I know.” He picks up the napkin and tosses it back toward Eddie. “I brought your other shoe, by the way. It’s on the table.”  Eddie stretches high like a prairie dog and sees his missing shoe is, in fact, on his dining room table. He snorts and shakes his head. “Just call me Cinderella.”  Buck grins. “Does that make me your prince charming?”  Eddie grins, too, because how can he not? Buck’s here and it’s okay. They’re okay. “Something like that,” he says because he doesn’t think he’d mind Buck being his prince charming. He’s pretty good at being a damsel, at least.

also as an addendum to my post, I do think it’s hilarious though how Kataangers are sooo worried about the live action now that images have dropped when there is ZERO proof Zutara is going to be canon in the live action beyond speculation. All that has happened is that Zuko and Katara’s actors are good looking and have stood next to each other/taken photos together. Just that. Because what it boils down to is that while you can pretend in animation, when you look at this:

Bryke’s entire deal of the kid falling in love with the babysitter sounds DERANGED. We all know Katara was really saying thank you Mr Gyatso Aang was really sweet tonight, it’ll be 50 yuan as always, don’t worry my boyfriend is picking me up I won’t walk home alone in Ba Sing Se :)

Meanwhile Zuko is standing awkwardly on the porch outside trying to get Aang to think he’s cool.

Like I don’t believe right now Zutara is becoming canon in the live action and I suspect Bryke left because they felt 8 episodes wasn’t enough to tell Book 1 the way they wanted without significant adaptational changes rather than because Netflix decided a 18 year old non-canon ship was gonna be the dealbreaker (but if it was, it is so funny to me like truly nobody liked Kataang except Bryke), but the fact that people are scared of a POSSIBILITY. In their hearts they know the babysitter had a boyfriend her age whom she could talk to like an equal.

ugh the last post about unfinished fanfic got me thinking of my rarepair, Alistair and Inky Trevelyan and how I had an idea for a fanfic about them a long time ago but never wrote it out, but now I kind of want to do it, but i'm sitting here like

hehehehehe guess who's back and more delusional than ever that fives is alive <3

during her walks to visit crosshair, omega finds herself taking the same path past a certain cell that holds a clone. she can make out the "5" tattooed on his temple, and despite everything, he manages a small, kind smile towards her whenever he spots her walking by.

he hears omega and crosshair escaping, laughs to himself when he hears crosshair distracting the guards, and hopes with all his might that both of his siblings can escape safely. when he hears the whispers of the escaped clones, of their disappearance off the planet, and the smile doesn't leave his face for days.

but something happens, and omega's back on tantiss. crosshair's still gone, but omega's being shoved past his cell, and he can barely muster a smile for her, but he does, because he sees the way her eyes light up just slightly when they make eye contact.

and suddenly, one day, the lights of the base flicker, and the doors to the cells are opened. there's shouting, and troopers running past, and he can't help but join the fight, knocking out a guard and taking his blaster.

and echo and rex have joined the fight to finally, finally get omega back, and they're running with the batch, and come upon a swarm of storm troopers and guards. they're holding their own pretty well, until a few get a bit too close, and echo's standing side-by-side with rex, and suddenly there's a clone kneeling in front of him, firing off at the guards, and instincts take over, and it's easy for echo to stand with him, taking out the higher ground while he goes for the lower ones.

it's a position so achingly familiar that echo can't help but take his eyes away from the battle, and he spots the tattoo. he spots it, and everything sharpens around him. he feels more alive than he has in months, and there's a new fire in him as he starts shooting again, moving around him, and he moves around echo, with a familiarity that has rex's shots faltering as he also recognizes the clone.

and the trapped clones are escaping, shuttles taking off towards safety, loaded with brothers who are still in disbelief that they're safe, and it's not echo who grabs his arm, it's omega, who recognizes him from their brief conversation back on kamino, before everything went to shit, recognizes her brother from his smiles, and she grabs his arm and pulls him after her onto the marauder, and echo's waiting, he's got his helmet off, and a massive smile on his face, and he can't stop himself from smiling back as he jumps onto the ship and into his twin's arms, rex laughing as his boys are reunited, joining the hug and holding echo and fives close to his heart as they escape.

I'm not sure when I'll manage to finish the fic, if ever, but at least we got the ball rolling and things went far enough to get this fanart of the target ship so I hope we're good.

Oh, that's actually the reason why, despite overwhelming evidence of AFO being Izuku's dad, Dabi refuses to acknowledge it and clings to his theory.

Trains, Planes, and Autobots

Summary Fic Part 6

As previously said, a black car pulls up (all dramatic like) and Agent Schloder steps out. (I actually really like Agent Schloder. I think hes a good and fun character and I really want him to be a major character in S2 who interacts with the cast a lot more.) And says, in a cool tough guy voice, "You called?"

Dot gives him a tired look and simply tells him he's late.

Schloder gets shifty and admits he was held up in yet another (of many many) meetings trying to sort out the remainder of GHOST and trying to uncover everything that was hidden away by his (late) sister.

Alex asks if it was anything dangerous.

Schloder responds that, no, it wasn't anything dangerous. But still very very important.

Deciding on a new acronym. However they're not having a lot of luck.

Dot is unimpressed and gives Schloder an insanely brief summary of events and brings him up to speed on whats happening.

The second he hears that Optimus wants to send a human with bumblebee on a mission to trace after Breakdown Schloder begins a long speech as he attempts to volunteer.

Only for Alex to interrupt him and say that he'd be more than happy to go along. Bumblebee had masqueraded as his car for a long time anyway, and they've driven together plenty of times. It just feels natural for Alex to slide on over into the drivers seat to avoid discovery from humans. Especially after spending so long avoiding GHOST.

Before Schloder can argue, Bumblebee agrees. Besides Nightshade and Thrash are technically Alex's kids anyway, so its not like he can just say no.

Alex happily heads to the house to pack up some clothes and basic camping gear for the "trip" leaving Schloder disappointed.

Dot takes over again and tells him that while she initially invited him over to figure out what to do with the collected database of all the transformers on Earth (and they still plan to cover that), she thinks he and Hashtag can be useful in helping Jawbreaker identify the bot he saw Breakdown looking up.

Schloder takes to this new role immediately and asks Jawbreaker what he can recall about the "subject" in question.

Jawbreaker responds that he was red.

"Okay great start! What else?"

"Thats uh... kinda it?"

".... Oh this is going to take awhile."

Ratchet volunteers to stick around at the barn to help with the identification as well as maintain communications. He's seen more autobots and decepticons over the course of the war than he can count, and besides, he's not sure he can still keep up with Bumblebee and the other "young bots" on the road, and isn't confident he'd be much use if the encounter with the stunticons broke out into a fight. Beyond that hes been in contact with Wheeljack over some kind of new breakthrough he thinks will be useful.

Bumblebee thanks Megatron for backing up his idea, but Megatron only says that its whats necessary to settle the matter. He admits to having been previously unaware of his and Breakdowns history together. Breakdown evidently didn't advertise the fact when amongst the decepticon ranks. Though Megatron acknowledges that this was likely for the best.

Optimus tells bumblebee to gather some energon for the trip as well as some water for the Terrans. Theres no telling how far Breakdown may go before they manage to piece anything together. With bumblebee off getting energy, Optimus pulls ratchet aside and asks if he's had a chance to talk to bumblebee yet. Ratchet says he hasn't. Megatron tells him they can't possibly put it off forever to which Ratchet angrily responds he's "working on it" and that he'll have plenty of time to tell him when this is all over.

Robbie and Mo are left wondering which team they're going with. Dot tells them she wants them to stay at the house and help with communications. Robbies not happy about getting left out when the Terrans and their dad are going into potentially dangerous circumstances. However Dot points out that their teams can't be too large or else it could interfere with their ability to manuever. Its true she doesnt want the two of them in a dangerous situation, but she doesnt want any of them in a dangerous situation. She also tells them that she knows they're both incredibly smart kids and have more than proven that they're able to figure things out. Thats why shes trusting them at home with Schloder collecting and piecing together all of the information they get from the split teams.

If Breakdown is getting up to something with some other Decepticons, having a well manned home base that will keep everyone up to date with the latest information is crucial.

Robbie still isn't happy about it but accepts the logic.

Alex shouts at his family from the upstairs window and asks if they know where the charger to his tablet is as he needs to pack it so he can watch his "stories" on the road.

Smash cut back to Breakdown on the road with Hardtop and Swindle. Breakdown isn't happy with the very late start of their trip, but Hardtop points out that if the autobots really were after them, they'd likely have caught up by now. Breakdown quietly admits that thats true and that the Autobots must have believed him.

Swindle asks Breakdown what sort of story he cooked up to convince the Autobots to let him access the database. Breakdown simply says (without much enjoyment) that he didn't really lie. He just sort of misled. Regardless of how he got the information, they have their starting point to look for the doctor they need to safely attach Hardtops arm.

Hardtop asks how he plans to convince the doctor to do the procedure. After all he and Swindle dont exactly have a "clean" record.

Breakdown just tells him to leave that to him.

With that the three speed down the highway.

I’ve written one (1) BuckTommy fic, right after ep 4 came out.

Tommy isn’t even actually in it, & it focuses almost wholly on Buck coming out to the 118 & their reaction and support, especially Bobby bc I wanted a sweet moment for that & I knew they probably wouldn’t put it in the show.

I also hinted at Buck putting his feelings for Eddie aside for the moment bc he’s settling into his bisexuality.

Literally, every other fic I’ve written & my ENTIRE tumblr is Buddie endgame.

I’m bringing this up bc I just had someone comment on that fic fanning about Tevan endgame & I’m like… girl (gn) you are missing context clues 😂

Basically, my question is: Is it overreacting to orphan that work so I don’t have to read anymore Tevan endgame comments on my own works? 😂😂

i gotchu bro. here's a few things i did that helped me write my beloved feligami all throughout odnlb.

GUIDE TO FELIGAMI

felix's core desire is to make himself not helpless. that's why he's a little cringe fail nerd who knows a lot of useful shit and why he can do magic tricks and has sticky fingers. he wants to get the up on everyone before they can get one over on him.

kagami's core desire is to be perfect. she doesn't want to be good, she wants to be THE BEST. she doesn't want to do nice things she wants to do the RIGHT thing. because by making herself and everyone around her better the world will be a better place. right?

put them together and what do you get? A GOOD TIME THAT'S WHAT.

like they would have so much fun are you kidding me. felix being like "hey do you wanna play chess try this new thing that's interesting" and kagami being like "um do i." and then they'd both get really competitive over it. kagami being like "felix look at this stupid love square thing that could easily be solved with common sense" and they'd both sit back and watch with popcorn and 3d glasses. i really think they'd love to laugh together, especially at adrinette's life's absurdities, and just find lots of entertainment in entertaining each other. this on top of the fact that it's all brewing under the surface. for all intents and purposes feligami would be the serious and stoic couple until you spent like an hour with them. then they'll start joking around with each other with dead poker faces and no one else would get their weird humor.

but let's not overlook the fac that they're kinda like. on opposite sides of the moral spectrum 💀 i see kagami as very black and white in her beliefs. there is an objective right and objective wrong to every situation while felix is definitely more morally grey open minded on most issues. kagami will choose the right thing over felix and felix will choose protecting those he loves over doing the right thing. AND I THINK THAT'S BEAUTIFUL. they're so diametrically opposed in contrast to the love square and yet they have such hard respect for each other because of their ideals. and yeah this is why i was so drawn to feligami in those season 4 days. it's also the dynamic i incorporated into odnlb. i really think they rock each other's boats and that's what makes them so drawn to the other. it's great. i ship them so hard.
