Tbh Im happy that chot is near but I dont see much movement in the fandom as the old days, in Ao3 there are barely fics of tlh being posted compared to when choi was coming, there are even more of tid than tlh, btw from tid there are quite a cool ones like "When our eyes meet" that is a wessa one and has a lot of references to literature and "Dreams" a Gabrily one but very angsty.

Yes, the fandom was super dead for a while there, but I do think it was because there wasn't much content coming from Cassie. In my case, at least, inspiration for fics was very low because at the end of the day, they're based off of cassie's books. And without any new content to base them off of, it was harder to come up with new and exciting ideas to write about. The same goes of non-fanfic writers, since there wasn't much to post about that hasn't already been said... up until less than a week ago (I still can't believe it hasn't been a week since Chot's release, it feels like it's been out of centuries haha), there wasn't really anything new to post about. I think we were all drained after the two year wait.

But since chot's release I've already seen more new content, with is so refreshing! Though I think many of the tsc fans have migrated to different platforms, I'm glad to see that there are still some fans on tumblr, since I adore using tumblr for tsc related things

On a different note, thank you so much for the fic recommendations! I can't wait to read them!

There are a lot of fics about Dwayne having a breeding kink, but not being able to actually conceive due to being a vampire. This fic says "BUT WHAT IF HE COULD", and then the fun begins. This was quite enjoyable to write, so I hope you all enjoy~!

It all began when you were out on a date with Dwayne. As per usual, the two of you were making your way down the boardwalk, but this time was a little different. Laddie, your sweet little buddy, had accompanied you two, wanting a more casual time out after getting up to some shenanigans with Paul and Marko the last few nights. You and Dwayne absolutely adored the kid, always happy to spend time with him. 

Laddie held on to each of your hands, walking in the middle of the path. Occasionally, you and your vampire boyfriend would lift up your arms, launching the kid into the air as he giggled in delight. You felt a little selfish for being grateful he’d never grow up, but you were sure there were plenty of parents and guardians that wished their child could stay forever young. Besides, Laddie would never have to worry about the scary stuff that came with adulthood, so perhaps you were doing him a favor.

While you were enjoying your time with them, you stopped in your tracks when something caught your eye. Further down the boardwalk, in front of a random shop, was a young woman struggling with a stroller. She had a baby cradled in one arm and a diaper bag hung on the other. You frowned at how she was clearly overwhelmed, trying to balance everything at once. It was extra bothersome considering nobody else seemed to care, just fine with passing her without any offer to help. You were going to fix that right away.

“I’ll be right back,” you told the boys. You let go of Laddie’s hand and jogged over to the woman. The closer you got, the more you could tell she was looking pretty tired. Her baby was quite young, meaning she was possibly still figuring out all the new challenges that came with motherhood. It would be the right thing to help out at the moment.

“Excuse me, ma’am? Would you like some help?” you asked her, trying to be as polite as possible. She smiled sheepishly, clearly a bit embarrassed that her struggle had been noticed. Still, there was a sense of gratitude in her eyes.

“Oh goodness, thank you so much,” she said. You held out your hands to take the bag and the baby out of her hands so she could fix the stroller properly. While she worked on that, you turned your attention to the baby, looking down at them with a soft smile. They seemed a bit fussy, probably tired and ready to go home. You couldn’t imagine how a big, scary place like the boardwalk was for a baby.

“Shhhh…it’s alright, honey….don’t worry,” you whispered, soft with your tone. You rocked the little one back and forth, slow and gentle, to be as soothing as possible. Even if you didn’t have a baby yourself, you thought they were so very precious. In no time, the baby calmed down a bit, ready to doze off. 

“Oh thank you, dear. You’re too kind,” the woman said, the stroller now all set up properly. You carefully handed over her baby and then the bag. She set the little one down in the stroller and bid you a farewell before making her way down the boardwalk in the direction you, Dwayne, and Laddie had come. With a final wave goodbye, you headed back to where your boys were. 

“Sorry about that! Let’s go get some food now,” you greeted them cheerfully, feeling accomplished after doing a good deed. Laddie eagerly grabbed your hand again, and you gave it a playful squeeze. While you began to head down the boardwalk again, you looked in Dwayne’s direction. Earlier he was laid back and pretty happy while out with you and Laddie. Now his expression was different.

He was staring at you. So focused on you and nothing else. Even as you all were walking, he didn’t bother to look away to see where he was going. When you first met Dwayne, his staring intimidated you. The intense look in his eyes was rather scary, and you could see why others wouldn’t want to mess with him. Now after getting to know him and falling in love with him you knew he was just thinking deeply about something. Pondering over an idea in his head.

What could he be thinking about?

You didn’t think much of it until later on when you and Dwayne finally got Laddie some food. The three of you were set up at a picnic table, Laddie happily chowing down on a burger and you taking sips of a soda in between some bites of fries. Dwayne hadn’t gotten anything on account of the hunt he went on with the others beforehand. 

He was still staring at you. Hands folded and propped under his chin, eyes fixated on you. It only made you wonder even more about what could be going on inside his mind.

“Hey, Laddie?” Dwayne finally spoke, glancing over at the boy. “Do you want a little brother or sister?”  

Your drink caught in your throat, and you began coughing harshly. Out of everything that could have come out of Dwayne’s mouth, why the hell was it that? Laddie was completely oblivious to your choking and perked up at the question.

“Yeah! I don’t wanna be the youngest anymore!” he exclaimed. He seemed quite excited at the possibility. “Are we gonna get another kid to join the group?” 

A sly smile spread across Dwayne’s handsome face. Even though he was talking to Laddie, his dark brown eyes were still fixated on you. The little boy was completely unaware of the undertones but you were painfully aware that the vampire was purposely trying to make you squirm under his gaze. Maybe if you were a vampire too then you could figure out what he was planning.

“No no, bud,” Dwayne said, moving his position so that now he was leaning his chin on one hand. “I think a baby would be better. You remember that talk we gave you, don’t you?”

A little while ago, you and Dwayne had to sit Laddie down and give him the “birds and the bees” talk. It was after the boy overheard some local surfers cracking quite a few lewd jokes and innocently asked you what they meant. You remembered how Paul and Marko laughed hysterically at how flustered you got. 

You felt yourself immediately start to blush. A squeak slipped out of your mouth and you quickly threw a hand over your lips to shut yourself up. The little boy glanced at you in confusion, not understanding why you were suddenly so worked up. Dwayne, on the other hand, knew exactly what was causing your reaction.

You had assumed that was the end of the conversation, but now Dwayne was pulling you back in. What the hell was he implying here??

“You mean you guys are gonna have a baby?” Laddie exclaimed, a bright smile on his adorable face.

Meanwhile, you were looking at Dwayne with a mix of embarrassment and confusion. You bet if you had a mirror right now, your reflection would show a very flushed face. Dwayne was honest to god suggesting that you and him make a baby to be Laddie’s sibling. 

You had to put a stop to this before you melted into a puddle right in front of the man.

Not very well known. This is one of the best fanfics I ever read. I’ve checked so many of the classics and most of the most commented, most bookmarked ones, with the most kudos. I’ve accidentally stumbled on this one and since that day I am completely obsessed with it. The best BAMF Merlin I ever read, the writing style is impeccable, the plot is smart and well planned and thought through, characterisations are on point, the consequences are realistic and so complex. I cannot recommend this enough. There are 4 works in the story so far and it’s WIP, but the writer is very productive and disciplined, the updates are happening once or twice a week.

Lay Your Head on The Shoulder of a Good Friend

With Camelot readying for the upcoming gathering of rulers of the Southern Kingdoms to discuss peace, Uther has tasked Arthur with an additional duty: befriend the Prince of Essetir and learn anything he can of King Balinor, and of magic, and of dragons, that might be of interest should the treaty not succeed.

That's easier said than done, as he and Prince Merlin don't exactly hit it off immediately. But, befriending Merlin and learning of magic and life in Essetir leads Arthur down the paths of discovering long held secrets surrounding his own birth, and his mother's ill health, and his father's hatred of all things magic.

Adding even more complications to the mix are rowdy knights, frustrating princesses, a possible traitor in their midst, and an overly-verbose dragon; not to mention the burgeoning and peculiar feelings for his fellow prince that Arthur struggles to put a name to.

I love this fanfic. It’s written by Skitz_phenom, not very well known, but this author is amazing. Incredible BAMF Merlin, Arthur & Merlin are so very well written, she/he written one of the best sexiest and steamiest scenes in Merthur fanfic world. The story is great and touches your heart. Completed.
