I've seen a lot of people speculate the OC3 welfare is going to be a choice between Male and Female Hakuno and if that happens I'd love to see the breakdown in whose the favorite.

I remember a magazine polled the percentage of who used the male vs female protagonist but can't remember if we've ever gotten official stats on things like that. Did they ever announce the numbers on who chose which Summer Valkyrie or Mecha-Eil?

Chaldea's main system for the defense of human history, now manifested as Fujimaru's main Noble Phantasm. By activating this Noble Phantasm, Fujimaru can summon shadows of the Servants who contracted with him in life: while normally these Servants would be weaker than a proper summon, the ability to summon multiple Servants and swap between them as needed makes this an incredibly powerful Noble Phantasm in many situations. Factors such as range, maximum number of targets and mana consumption depend on the Servants summoned.

[Human Order Theorem: Proof of a Future] Rank: EX Type: Anti-Fortress Range: 1~100 Max Targets: 1

A variation of the previous Noble Phantasm, that relies on Fujimaru's history and bonds with Novum Chaldea rather than their Servants. The Storm Border is summoned in the skies above the targets, whereupon the anti-Foreign God Holy Sword is immediately fired. Similarly to the original Excalibur, the power of this Noble Phantasm varies depending on the target, with the damage increasing exponentially against the highest level of threats to humanity.

A fanservant actually connected to Fate instead of another video game!? Guess it happens sometimes! Granted, this is probably a bit overdone, but might as well throw in my two cents!

Fujimaru had a lot of possible classes going for them, with Alter Ego and Moon Cancer actually being canonical after Archetype Inception. In the end I chose to make them a Ruler: since the feats that made them an Heroic Spirit involve them commanding Servants, it makes sense to put them in the class that has the same authority in canon.

Since an hypothetical player would obviously have to choose whether to use the male or female version of Fujimaru, I've decided to use the male version as the default and leave the female version as Simple Spiritron Dresses, so that someone can choose which one to use at any moment. I mean, what other option is there, make two separate Servants with the exact skillset and gender as the only difference? That sounds incredibly wasteful, doesn't it?

The [Station Guard for Humanity] passive is in fact the exact same passive U-Olga Marie has: the description is firmly an headcanon, but it makes sense that other Servants don't have it, since the requisite of "fighting to protect humanity as a whole" is incredibly specific. As for the [Lost Form] passive, its effects reflect the buffs provided during the Kirschtaria battle at the end of Olympus.

The buffs provided by the first skill reference the effects of the Decisive-Battle Chaldea Uniform and Atlas Academy Uniform Mystic Codes, two of the most commonly used Mystic Codes in the game. I was considering adding an Order Change mechanic too somewhere, but it would have been a bit too messy.

I was considering making the second skill related to the Grand Graph System announced on New Year, but since we don't have concrete info on it yet, it'd probably work better as a Strengthening in the future.

The first Noble Phantasm listed wouldn't be selectable by a playable Fujimaru, but it would be a justification for their fighting style. Similar to the Hakunos, the battle animations would involve Fujimaru summoning Servants to fight for them: the Extra Attack would likely be Mash with the Black Barrel.

As for the true Noble Phantasm, it's basically a boss slayer designed to do massive damage against the toughest bosses in the game. The damage mods reference some of the bosses seen so far in the story, from the [Super Giant] trait for Cernunnos and the Demon Pillars, to two different mods for the Beasts. As expected given the way the Rayproof was used in the story, ORT is one of the very few bosses that hits all five power mods simultaneously.

What’s your preference for how Seimei actually gets properly introduced to us (as in full design and everything)? Do you think it should be a FGO Main Story Chapter, and Event focused on him, or maybe even him playing a big role in a unique game (like how Takeru needed their own game for TM to be willing to tackle such a big deal)?

I must hope that Ordeal Call is each writer's last main story chapter, so if Sakurai didn't feature Seimei in Id, she's not featuring him in FGO's main story anymore. At the same time, I think Seimei is too built up to go in a random event. He can be an anniversary or New Year Servant but I don't his first proper showing to have no story attached to it.

This leaves us with two acceptable possibilities for Seimei's showtime. First is the last Samurai Remnant DLC. This one is supposed to be most Koei-like and Seimei is the extra character featured in the PSP version of Warriors Orochi 3. But there's another, more preferable option. The Douman backstory manga, previously a one-shot, had its serialization announced. There's no better place for Seimei than there now.

This is something I honestly want to ask FGO fans if they’re still playing - what would it take (if anything) for you to stop playing the game? Like what would be your absolute line in the sand. Or will you keep playing until EoS? I’m not asking this to proselytize, I’m genuinely curious. These are some recent events: There’s the addition of Wandjina as a character you can gamble for in the gacha, which you can see people discussing here in the FGO tag. Right before this there was yet another little girl added with a highly sexualized outfit, chloe (summer). In the summer event they even took the time to draw a giant version of her stomping through town so the fans could look up her microbikini bottoms. She was preceded by Nero-Draco whose second ascension is a little girl in another tiny micro-bikini. The designers and animators made sure the first ascension dress had huge slits in it so you can see those tiny strips of fabric covering her body when she makes any type of movement. Her third, adult ascension is completely locked behind the completion of a limited time event. Anyone who plays that missed it and don’t have her will default see her on their friends list in the second ascension. This is also the one that is advertised in the gacha banners. These two characters join multiple other little girls in fetishwear the game had added over time, to say nothing of the many pandering craft essences as well.

Before Nero Draco, the game advertised its newest Ordeal Call chapter with an animated commercial that included a scene created with AI. In the chapter itself they gave us a whitewashed Rani.

Before AI Ordeal Call, there was Lostbelt 7. The 3 summonable servants on the “Latin American Lostbelt” were all white: Tezcatlipoca, Kukulkan and Tenochitlan. There were 2 NPCs with darker skin (tbh optics are not great labeling the darkest skinned npc a “Beast” when you think about it), and every single other NPC in the chapter was a dinosaur or an “Ocelomeh” - ape-men wearing jaguar masks that the player cannot understand.

For the anniversary, the game’s “QoL update” was a brand new way to give them money- another paid gacha banner. The “secret” update the NA server got was also another paid gacha banner.

Again these are just recent things I’ve seen people stop playing over, of course in the game’s older events there’s things like the emiya alter design & tamamocat line for him in seraph, agartha chapter, Boudicca interlude etc. This isn’t a callout or anything, the descriptions above are because I wanted to add context with what’s happened in the game recently. I’m just genuinely curious if you’re still playing after the type of content they’ve put out, is there anything FGO could do to legitimately make you stop?

I started writing a post about how what I really think Type Moon needs to do to make its fans happy again is to release a new work that's fleshed out that isn't a 1) remake 2) re-release 3) filled with servants and characters we ALREADY KNOW, but then it dawned on me --

We're really just kind of waiting for a full airing of Fate/Strange Fake, aren't we?

That's literally what a ton of us are hinging on. It's arguably one of the most vibrant works in the Fate Series umbrella, it has some of the best comic relief, some of the best animation and character designs, interesting plot, interesting characters + character development, and the direction and composition of the anime from what we've seen so far has been fantastic and exactly what we've been asking for, for a long, long time. It's giving F/SF its dues and even adding on to it.

If Reqiuem got as detailed an adaptation, we'd be pretty fucking hype, same with Einherjar, because those are all works who have characters that are new, character development, interesting plots, stories... etc...

Another thing is that a lot of people got into Fate because of how it does Servants, and we like that formula of a Holy Grail War, and because FGO doesn't really have that traditional formula, a lot of people I feel like are starved at the moment and disappointed because outside of waiting for FSF or translation or manga adaptation releases, what big release do we really have? Fate Extra remake? A lot of fans were already Fate/Extra fans to begin with -- it's not that people don't Want a remake, it's just that right now, I think a lot of people are looking for something Fresh, something New, something that's a breath of fresh air, refreshing, FRESH, FRESH, NEW ETC. NEW CHARACTERS, DEVELOPMENTS, STORIES, THEMES, ETC.... and it's been a long time since any true Holy Grail War story got an adaptation -- Fate Apocrypha was in 2017.

Doesn't have to be a Proper Holy Grail War, I mean people love variants, but the bond between masters and servants and the idea of fighting like that and the amount of variation that can happen, ... I think we're just starving for something that's truly Fate-Like, and exhausted from the lackluster story content of FGO's releases. These Ordeal Calls for a lot of us are really more of an Ordeal in the sense that it's boring to have to trudge through than a Call to come read the story. (ba dum tsh.....)

i like that theory! i think that wouldn't be impossible if we take castoria and oberon in mind. bart is an interesting case as well considering that i don't think he chose to be a low rarity servant (see ordeal call 3) but still, i'd like to think if they were to be a normal servant-master pair they'd be super disadvantaged. guda being Literally Just A Guy and bart being that he's not on the sea, his domain
