I’ve actually kind of watched today’s episode already but I’ll put my post for it up tomorrow because I’m gonna watch it again with my mum, here’s my THOUGHTS ON NEXT WEEK’S SPOILERS though!!!!!
Okay, stuff I’m normal about first. Looks like they’re kicking off a storyline for Donna next week, which I’m pretty excited for. I didn’t think she’d immediately fit into Casualty in the way that she has but it’s like she’s always been there already. Plus, I love Donna and Rida together.
Iain and Faith stuff, but Faith is going to end the relationship. Like a lot of people, I’m pretty tired of the Faith storyline so I’ve still got nothing to say about it beyond the fact that it exists.
Jan and Ffion’s relationship is hard for me to get invested in beyond the fact that I love Jan because it always seems like it isn’t going well for them in some way or another.
Now for things I can’t be normal about:
“Sah feels guilty about their kiss with Paige the other week. With their conscience weighing heavily on them, Sah eventually tells Teddy the truth.”
it’s barely any more information than the 4 words (“Sah confesses to Teddy”) that we got from Radio Times but it confirms that the episode is going to deal with the kiss and that’s got me in a good mood. This is what a lot of people, myself included, predicted - Sah telling him as soon as possible just feels right for them. I think this also leaves us with a greater chance at polyamory than we would’ve had if they drew Teddy not knowing out. But I’m also wondering how Teddy’s going to respond. I’ll be honest, I don’t have a single clear idea of how his response will go. I expected the writers to drag out him not knowing for weeks and then he’d find out and die of heartbreak or something like that (I’m only partially joking) but with him finding out so soon afterwards, I’m wondering where they’ll go with it. There’s got to be more to this storyline beyond this and normally Teddy finding out would be like the climax of it, so the fact that it’s happening so soon has me tentatively hopeful.
I’m so excited, I’ve really been drawn back into Casualty by all of this stuff. Expect me to be insufferable with the spoiler updates over the next week.

October NoveList Challenge: Read a book with an orange or black cover
Read a book with an orange or black cover -- it can be a real treat!
Did you know NoveList is a database you can access with your library card to find reading recommendations? Find your next favorite read with this fantastic readers tool! Check it out on our website here.
The Death of Jane Lawrence by Caitlin Starling
Practical, unassuming Jane Shoringfield has done the calculations, and decided that the most secure path forward is this: a husband, in a marriage of convenience, who will allow her to remain independent and occupied with meaningful work. Her first choice, the dashing but reclusive doctor Augustine Lawrence, agrees to her proposal with only one condition: that she must never visit Lindridge Hall, his crumbling family manor outside of town. Yet on their wedding night, an accident strands her at his door in a pitch-black rainstorm, and she finds him changed. Gone is the bold, courageous surgeon, and in his place is a terrified, paranoid man—one who cannot tell reality from nightmare, and fears Jane is an apparition, come to haunt him.
By morning, Augustine is himself again, but Jane knows something is deeply wrong at Lindridge Hall, and with the man she has so hastily bound her safety to. Set in a dark-mirror version of post-war England, Starling crafts a new kind of gothic horror from the bones of the beloved canon. This Crimson Peak-inspired story assembles, then upends, every expectation set in place by Shirley Jackson and Rebecca, and will leave readers shaken, desperate to begin again as soon as they are finished.
The Last Party by Clare Mackintosh
It's a party to end all parties, but not everyone is here to celebrate.
On New Year’s Eve, Rhys Lloyd has a house full of guests. His vacation homes on Mirror Lake are a success, and he’s generously invited the village to drink champagne with their wealthy new neighbors.
But by midnight, Rhys will be floating dead in the freezing waters of the lake.
On New Year’s Day, Ffion Morgan has a village full of suspects. The tiny community is her home, so the suspects are her neighbors, friends and family—and Ffion has her own secrets to protect.
With a lie uncovered at every turn, soon the question isn’t who wanted Rhys dead…but who finally killed him.
In a village with this many secrets, murder is just the beginning.
This is the first volume of the "DC Morgan" series.
The Spite House by Johnny Compton
Eric Ross is on the run from a mysterious past with his two daughters in tow. Having left his wife, his house, his whole life behind in Maryland, he’s desperate for money–it’s not easy to find safe work when you can’t provide references, you can’t stay in one place for long, and you’re paranoid that your past is creeping back up on you.
When he comes across the strange ad for the Masson House in Degener, Texas, Eric thinks they may have finally caught a lucky break. The Masson property, notorious for being one of the most haunted places in Texas, needs a caretaker of sorts. The owner is looking for proof of paranormal activity. All they need to do is stay in the house and keep a detailed record of everything that happens there. Provided the house’s horrors don’t drive them all mad, like the caretakers before them.
The job calls to Eric, not just because there’s a huge payout if they can make it through, but because he wants to explore the secrets of the spite house. If it is indeed haunted, maybe it’ll help him understand the uncanny power that clings to his family, driving them from town to town, making them afraid to stop running.
There There by Tommy Orange
Tommy Orange's wondrous and shattering novel follows twelve characters from Native communities: all traveling to the Big Oakland Powwow, all connected to one another in ways they may not yet realize. Among them is Jacquie Red Feather, newly sober and trying to make it back to the family she left behind. Dene Oxendene, pulling his life together after his uncle's death and working at the powwow to honor his memory. Fourteen-year-old Orvil, coming to perform traditional dance for the very first time. Together, this chorus of voices tells of the plight of the urban Native American--grappling with a complex and painful history, with an inheritance of beauty and spirituality, with communion and sacrifice and heroism. Hailed as an instant classic, There There is at once poignant and unflinching, utterly contemporary and truly unforgettable.

ok so i haven't posted art at all TuT I forgor
anyways so i made a font of the alphabet/language that all my OCs speak, because I felt like it and it's easier then having to draw the letters every time.
Tumblr media
and i made a lil comic thing as soon as I was done with it cus I was excited at my silly little language that I made up during a free english language lesson circa yr10 becoming a font!! that I made obv and I can't distribute it I think but whatever. I'm fluent in it by the way I taught myself it I use it as code. I'm actually writing a smut scene in my physical notebook rn and it's all in eureyic cus I don't want ppl looking over and reading depraved skeleton fucker behaviour. is that TMI.
So i should probably say what they're saying? who they are? yea probably...
i'm only giving u direct translations for the first panel so... I'm so mysterious....
for context the merch on the left is called Luna Claw Fowler-Fields. she has like 4 last names so she just uses whatever one she's feeling, her sister does the same who is the lil one on the left in the background btw. She is the eldest (adopted) daughter of one Eryl Fields and Loretta Fowler, a ghost and a vampire, Loretta is also the one she is talking too btw. i think thats all the context.
so the first panel goes as follows :
'MAM!! HEY MAM!!!!'
'Whatever is it?'
yeah. mundane huh. anyway i like to add Welsh into the Eureyic too so some words are just welsh words in eureyic and its so normal and important and special to me. speaking of actually i have a sketch page of a
Tumblr media
Character. that is sooo welsh he's very welsh and in the context of my OCs universe Eureyic and the country it originates (Eureya ik such a creative name) are basically just Wales. bcus i'm so cool.
I love him he's so cool his name is Annwyll Ambrose and he has a younger sister called Elwynn (the merch he's with on the bottom left) and his dad is called Ffion (guy he's hugging in the middle) and he's aroace and the kids are his lil science alchemy magic babies. A keen eye will notice that Annwyll and Ffion are (apart from being welsh asf) feminine names and Elwynn is a masculine name. there is no big reason for this. i'll be honest he's a redesign of a character i overhauled basically everything about except key traits and when i renamed him i was going all symbolic and chose Annwyll under the assumption it was gender neutral like Morgan is or something. it is not lol.
when i realised i was already attached to the name and was in the process of giving his sister a name so i was like ' y'know what? gimmick. in the Ambrose family girls are given boys names and boys are given girls names. its so silly and cool ' and thats how that is now.
Don't ask about the girl kissing Annys forehead at the bottom. i fear that if i speak anymore i'll just give u a plot synopsis.
so her name is Pho- OK i'll stop. she's actually rlly interesting. not that you'd care. her sister too. almost everyone has a sister i just realised..

Hey I was wondering if you could do a Imagine for Ffion Morgan ( she’s a welsh footballer ) it could be about anything you want it to be about!!
I don’t think I would do it justice as I don’t know much about the player. I’m sorry.

Game of Lies by Clare Mackintosh
Game of Lies by Clare Mackintosh
This is the second in this series, the first being The Last Party.  I have read all of CM's books and always recommend her.  Her previous books have been stand alones, this is her first series.  She was a police officer before she turned to crime writing.  You don't have to read the first in the series, you can pick up threads in this one, but it would be a shame not to start at the beginning.
As with the first book, the setting is North Wales present day.  We meet up again with DC Ffion Morgan who lives & works in a small town in North Wales in the Welsh mountains.  A town where everyone knows each other and their families.  A reality TV show has come to the mountains, near the town, which has the residents buzzing and sparked media interest.
Seven contestants have arrived and signed up for the new reality show 'Exposure' (think I'm a celebrity & Traitor mixed together).  Causing another ripple is the fact that one of the contestants is the local post woman, Cerys.  They are expecting arduous trials with 'nasties' joining them but they are all in for a nasty shock.  Miles, the producer, shocks everyone, even his staff, when he informs them that the show is all about revealing their previously hidden secrets...  If a player/contestant can guess a fellow contestants secret then not only would they be eliminated they would be exposed publicly on air!
The pressure and possible shame of this is too much for one contestant, Ryan.  He goes missing and the local police have to be called in.  Part of the border of a lake near the area is in England, Cheshire, so their local police are also involved.  This brings together again DC Ffion Morgan and DS Leo Brady.
However, the stakes are raised when a few days later, with Ryan still missing, Miles the producer is killed in his office.  Ffion & Leo were on site at the time of the murder and heard his shout.  With a few people as suspects and good motive they have to work out who done it.  Which is hard for Ffion as she knows these people she is interviewing & treating as suspect, even her sisters boyfriend.
They say the camera never lies, but does it!?
The novel is peppered with humour and good earthy characters.  Ffion is strong, determined but has a self destruct button.  She spends a lot of time at her mams, where her sister also lives.  Leo is a likeable single dad who still thinks about Ffion and their one night stand (first book) but Ffion is frightened of being hurt. It is a series which is definitely growing on me.  I always picture 'Faith' for the character of Ffion.  It has good earthy humour, life humour.  It is more about the characters than the crime.  Clever.  The author sets the scene really well.

Hooke’s Law (22/07/23)
I’ve spent an excessive amount of my time today making a Sah/Teddy/Paige (mostly Sah and Teddy, this episode really has me thinking about them a lot) edit to Night Shift by Lucy Dacus.
A lot of babies in this episode! The thing about Casualty drama is that I miss it when I don’t have it and when I do, it makes me nauseous. Love Rida, love Donna! Glad to see them getting more time and I was happy to see even the characters’ whose drama wasn’t really at the front getting screen time. My walls of Sah/Teddy/Paige text (my specialty) are at the end of my ranting below the cut.
I LOVED RIDA IN THIS EPISODE!! I’m so glad we’re getting more of her I really loved seeing so much of her, I just adore her and it was great seeing a different side of her. I feel like, of all the new nurses, she has been shown as the toughest one but in this episode we got to see her struggle more.
Jaye Jacobs is brilliant, she did great in this episode and I’m also really looking forward to getting more Donna.
Not much Cam but I just enjoy him quite a lot so I appreciated what we did get!
Iain with a baby; made me think of the fact that when I made this little summary video to explain the recent plot of Casualty to my friend who doesn’t watch it and I described the characters who I felt the need to describe and I think I said that Iain “would quite like to be a dad”.
Ffion surprised me in this episode, I don’t know I feel like it made me feel more invested in her relationship with Jan.
Okay, so Paige. I’ll be honest, she’s kind of on thin ice with me because I didn’t have any strong opinions on her and then I kind of started to not like her that much with everything to do with Sah’s top surgery and then her kiss with Sah and the three weeks I had to think about it made me like her a lot more (I know that’s a weird thing to make me like her but it just got me interested). How she was today, I’m like annoyed but also I’m not surprised. The way she treated Sah was bad, but that’s just how the employees of Holby General Hospital are required to act when a kiss that “meant nothing” absolutely meant something.
Teddy is a sweetheart and maybe a little oblivious. We’re supposed to believe that at least a little while has passed since Burning Bridges and he’s only just picked up on the fact that his best friend and girlfriend are acting kind of off. I think how he is next week will give us a good idea of where this stuff with them is going. Even before we knew that we were going to get stuff dealing with the kiss I expected we’d get a moment where he realises that everyone’s acting weird (and then Sah getting too guilty).
Okay, I’m really going to sound like I’m overthinking with all my Sah thoughts but I felt like this episode really linked back to how they were back like last year and stuff. I’ve already said how that scene where they tell Teddy about the kiss reminded me of the scene from On The Edge where they told him about their dad. They didn’t exactly have all that many scenes but what we did get of them really, really got me thinking about Sah and Teddy’s early friendship, it all just felt so linked to it. I feel like I need to make some posts about my Sah and Teddy thoughts but they are so extremely interesting to me. Sah and Teddy’s initial storylines aren’t directly linked to each other (as in, while I think their friendship is relevant, it’s not their relationship at the centre of it all), they’re independent but the way it’s written throughout makes them feel like such an inherent pair that you just can’t separate the stories (see me describing them as “besties with mommy issues in opposite directions” to my friend, the stuff with Gaynor and Jools has always felt so intertwined to me because of how opposite it all is) and the fact that both characters’ first actual romance storylines have ended up being the exact same storyline just feels a little inevitable for the two of them. I don’t know, I am overthinking them and not expressing it very well but I think that’s a good summary of how this episode has me right now.
Honestly, I still don’t think polyamory is out of the window yet. The fact that Teddy knows already and both Paige and Sah’s behaviour today has me still hopeful.

Heyy, update for the chart; Millie Turner is together with Lisa Naalsund, who have past at least with Vilde Bøe Risa!
(and what im seeing missing/wrong on chart);
Also Sandra Paños is longtime together with (ex)player Sara Merida, and where Spurs' & Finland's Olga Ahtinen and England's Molly Bartrip are heavy rumored currently after all their and friends summercontent, is Jen Beattie is rumored to be with Deyna Castillos. Wales' Ffion Morgan and Lia Cataldo are also couple of couple years, the same as Ari Arias and Martina Fernandez were before first transferred out from the worldclass team.
This seems also pretty unknown but Vicky Lopez and Salma Paralluelo have made their relationship puplic on both girls snapchats now that Lopez have officially got out of illegal zone (turned 18y)!
Ayane and Shelina have brokeup aswell, as sad as that is and Charli Grant have boyfriend (not together with Migah, just friends), Caldentey have also backround with Crnogorcevic, as when again both Lawrance & Da Silva AND Graham Hansen & Torrejón are engaget,
That's just couple adds to the chart; keep up with it! I personally love it and often check that if im unsure of some
Thanks so much!!! Updated it!

Big drama in the relegation derby just now. Shelina Zadorsky scored for West Ham to make it 2-0, but the offside flag was up so it was actually still 1-0. Then Ffion Morgan immediately scored a great goal for Bristol to make it 1-1, and that goal stood.
Good to see they scored another one anyway! I'm not too worried about WH now, they've done such a good job recruiting this window

They say the camera never lies.
But on this show, you can’t trust anything you see.
Stranded in the Welsh mountains, seven reality show contestants have no idea what they’ve signed up for.
Each of these strangers has a secret. If another player can guess the truth, they won’t just be eliminated - they’ll be exposed live on air. The stakes are higher than they’d ever imagined, and they’re trapped.
The disappearance of a contestant wasn’t supposed to be part of the drama. Detective Ffion Morgan has to put aside what she’s watched on screen, and find out who these people really are - knowing she can’t trust any of them.
And when a murderer strikes, Ffion knows every one of her suspects has an alibi . . . and a secret worth killing for.
