2:06am “Lexi?” Adrienne calls her name softly from the front doorway, Dom a shadow  lingering behind her as Lexi stays frozen in the living room. She looks down at the cool metal lighter still gripped in her hand, and remembers where she is and what they are here for. Blinking back the sudden onrush of memories, Lexi turns to her two friends with a forced smile and nod, gulping past the lump in her throat and the sudden need to vomit that’s appeared. She can do this.

2:06am The light is bright behind his eyes, causing Fezco to squeeze them closed tightly as his brain does its best to catch up to what’s just happened. Pain laces through his left shoulder, enough that he just lays there as he tries to get his head on straight. It only takes a few seconds to realize he’s not on the cold, concrete warehouse floor, but propped up against a couch cushion that’s seen better days. “She is going to fucking kill us,” a familiar voice states above him. “Like, I’m actually afraid to tell her what happened, my brother.”

Lexi and Bobbi throw a Christmas Party in their new apartment where Lexi has decided to finally shoot her shot with Fezco by finding the perfect moment to get him under the mistletoe.

Until now, Lexi had been content keeping her feelings to herself. She figured she would take her infatuation to the grave for the sake of the friendship. But as the years went by, she would only fall in love more and more – to the point where it was suffocating her now. Bobbi seemed to think that Fezco reciprocated her feelings but Lexi had no evidence that supported that theory. Fezco was an honest to god (that she didn’t believe in) good guy. A salt of the earth type that wouldn’t hurt a fly. As long as you didn’t mess with his friends. His family. His money. He was considerate in a way that had you questioning if the rest of humanity was just a simulation. He was sweet and charming but never used it to his advantage. And that was only with strangers. When it came to the people in his life, you could triple that tenfold. He was as loving as he was loyal.

I mean where do I even begin to share my favorite fexi writers? We’ve been so blessed by talent in this fandom. In those brief moments, Lexi could picture what it would be like to walk through a crowd holding his hand or waiting in line with him behind her with his arms wrapped around her waist. At one point, she got a little more than sprinkled on during “It’s a Small World” and he wrapped his jacket around her until her sweater was dry.
