My Hybrid AU lore:

Not everyone is a hybrid and it is a very rare case as you can see Spinel is not one. There are early signs a person is a hybrid, like Roy kept shocking people. The youngest age for a persons features to appear is 10.

Friede is a Charizard with missing horns (there is lore to that ig). Roy is a Wattrel who struggles to fly. Liko is a Terapagos but she isn't technically a full hybrid (more to that later). Also their partners still exists they are just normal Pokemon though.

And honestly???? I’m not totally sure how to give tips— but I love, love, love unhinged characters in media, so I’ll use them as examples

I’ve always been a big fan of silly, ‘crazy’ characters in animated movies and cartoons. I grew up on Batman the Animated Series and the original Teen Titans, which were full of silly, fun tragic characters.

Don’t get me wrong, i love a good edge-lord— but as a tot i thought the colorful, theatrical, insane bad guys were more fun to watch than the big scary serious ones (ESPECIALLY if they had a good villain song. A+ good shit)

And not just bad guys!! There are a ton of unhinged good/neutral characters that i absolutely adore.

My personal brand of “Unhinged” or “Crazy” characters definitely leans on comedy. That’s what i enjoy seeing and reading! I personally like it because it can help keep a story fresh and interesting. There’s an element of surprise and unpredictability with what a character might do, and i love that!!

I also really enjoy a touch of feral behavior in my unhinged characters. The lack of clarity and the danger that imposes can be a very fun tool to use, no matter the character’s moral compass. (I’m feral for feral behavior lol)

And impulses. Whether a character has a few screws loose or is generally a goober, they like to act on impulses. This often goes hand-in-hand with comedy, and that’s something I enjoy!! We get a lot of moments like that in Rise, and that was one of my favorite parts of that TMNT iteration.

But as far as writing goes, it’s been tricky for me. All of the characters I grew up or love have been visual— trying to find a good balance for reading has been a puzzle I’ve been figuring out as I go.

I read a lot manga (lol nerd) and comics, and I love how thoughts/dialog are depicted. Especially the really dramatic or impactful moments. (I’d add examples but I’m already at the Tumblr image limit LAME)

As strange as it sounds, I try to capture that “impactful visual” style in my writing. If I had ANY advice on writing unhinged characters, pay attention to pacing—

Short. Fast. A calculating thought. Perhaps a run on sentence that lacks punctuation to represent the rushing and disorganized thought process. A question? An answer with little thought. Is this moment amusing; describe how. Is it upsetting; describe how. Are the thoughts starting to scatter? M aybe s o…

Big moment statement.

Action or plan of next big move. Flow should never seem too uniform. Even in normal writing. Don’t be afraid of accentuating— but don’t overdo it. Remember, unhinged characters are impulsive. Have fun with that.

Just as a quick and dirty summary— when it comes to unhinged characters, I like to use comedy, feral behavior, and acting on impulses. I also like to keep it as visually appealing as possible for characters to give the eyes a little treat after reading walls of text. I like to use fun text formatting to help with the fun too (But don’t overdo it! Don’t make it feel like a chore to read) (<- says the girl who goes into way too much details sometimes lmao whoops)

But ultimately— have FUN!!! Unhinged characters are fun, so make sure you have fun writing/drawing/creating them!!

Laquium

The big McGuffin of the show. What the plot is centered around. This stuff has fascinated me from the moment it was mentioned. Just what was it? We sorta got an answer later, on what it does to Pokémon (generic feral stuff) which is bad but it also got me thinking even more: What does this stuff do to humans? We got a...maybe explanation, seems like the mist causes some kind of madness, but that begs the question, what about if the crystal itself is injected / penetrates the skin? It must not be any kind of good since that stuff was in a glass tube when Spinel had it. So I've been formulating my own ideas on what that could mean. Please feel free to chime in with your own theories! I can't be the only one curious about this stuff.

So I guess in my head when it enters the body it becomes a kind of energy source, fueling the body with the boundless energy it has collected from elsewhere (the plants around the crystals were dead, so I think it absorbs life energy of some kind). But the stuff takes as much as it gives, stealing away the energy after it is spent. Which leads to extended periods of awake alertness and dormancy. This supply won't last forever however because of either one of two things. One: the crystal simply ceases to function a needs to be replenished. Or two: the crystal is poison and requires more of it to not kill the host. Either way the health effects would be terrible. That sort of condition cannot be good for the body. On the other hand, someone with an ample supply of Laquium could theoretically live forever.

Combine that theory with the feral stuff and you have essentially an immortal with an army of beefed up, mindless, subservient Pokémon. Sounds exactly like something Spinel would want. But hey, that's just my theory, could be completely wrong for all I know (but the immortality poison crystal thing is a lot more interesting than the feral thing we've seen plenty of times before).

How I think SUF should have ended

Ok, now, I'm gonna have to do one thing right off the bat, homeworld bound no longer exists. For one, it doesn't really do anything besides showing what the diamonds are up to and it would break up the plot cohesion for the next point.

Instead of shattering Jasper and eventually corrupting, that final bumrush is their fusion dance and the worm Steven is their fusion. We've seen a bunch of times that the more toxic a relationship is, the crazier the fusion gets. A self-loathing Steven mixed with a gem who literally only knows toxicity would probably be 90% feral anyway.

And here's the most important part. While I am my monster becomes the penultimate episode, it gets a second part. While all the stuff is going on on the outside with monster steven and the gems like normal, we also get an entire episode inside Steven's gem. Jasper's there as a voice in his head as we get a gallery walkthrough of some of the biggest points of the show, all his biggest highs and lowest lows with Jasper commentary. And at the deepest corner of his mind, he sees her. Rose Quartz.

And the very first thing he does...is start punching her in the face. He just starts wailing on he while getting out everything he's wanted to scream at her for years now "YOU LEFT SPINEL IN THE GARDEN WAITING FOR YOU FOR MILLENIA! YOU LEFT BISMUTH FOR DEAD IN A BUBBLE AND LET EVERYONE THINK SHE DIED! YOU TOLD PEARL SHE WAS FREE AND KEPT HER SILENT ABOUT YOUR BS YEARS AFTER YOU DIED! 1 - yay amethio's back!! :D im glad that the explorers plot is returning, cuz tbh i was getting kinda bored of the terastal arc. speaking of which HOLY shit liko cant use terastal anymore???? i hope that this is some of setup for character growth/getting stronger cuz if so thatd be amazing

2 - what the FUCK happened with spinel's umbreon?? honestly it was really interesting when umbreon went all feral and hella strong because of the rakurium, not to mention the line "rampage to your heart's content". i don't think we've ever heard anything like that in the pokemon series

3 - it was pretty intriguing (but not surprising) that amethio and liko were trapped in the cave by spinel. the whole starving-to-death-in-a-cave thing is a bit dark for pokemon, but nontheless very interesting. (not to mention that that's something spinel would 100% do) i hope that being trapped in the cave conjures some kind of friendship between amethio and liko, and hopefully amethio gets a redemption arc cuz that'd be awesome. i have a prediction that amethio and liko will have to work together in some way to escape the cave

I'm going to give an example.

I have this thread with Angel in my pokemon verse that's on going. Sue is openly doing something that is MEGA suspect, in that she is hiding this crystal that effectively makes pokemon trip balls & go feral.

Technically speaking, what she doing is NOT A BAD thing. It looks sus as fuck, but it is NOT EVIL, she is in fact hiding this crystal & keeping it in a box, specifically for the reason to KEEP THE POKEMON ON THE FARM SAFE FROM IT.

Add in the fact that she, shares the fact that she has it with Spinel, she DOES NOT KNOW Spinel is a villain, she just knows he's a researcher, & choosing to share what she found with someone who might be able to give her answers. Again NOT A BAD THING. Sue being all secretive about it & asking him not to tell anyone looks fishy as fuck, yeah, but it is NOT EVIL.

Ultimate Pokémon Horizons fan theory: WHAT IS RAKUA AND WHAT IS RAKURIUM OF ALL THINGS!!! ULTIMATE SPOILER WARNING!!!

Hello guys, Star-Arcana here and I wanna posit my best theory on Pokémon Horizons best and greatest mystery in the storyline so far:

WHAT IS RAKUA!!!

Rakua is the ancient Pokémon Paradise of fables and legends, according to Lucius and many others characters both in the past and present. It's a mythical paradise on top of a mountain, or many mountain? However it is ultimately geographically speaking, to us, currently unknown, only that it took an overseas adventure to get there with Rayquaza and the others guiding Lucius and his friends. It exists really as Lucius and his friends believe, and is a lush, green enviroment with a lot of Pokémon there, alongside them legendary Pokémon in great numbers,too. Like for instance a trio of the Legendary Kanto birds, Latios and Latias, and even a Terrakion and a Virizion, all being happy, enjoying the tranquility and peace of Rakua. Basically the most bountiful place on earth, a true Garden Eden. Gibeon,Rystal and Lucius fond that place to be truly beautfiul, but also found about it's most benefactory boon , and most dangerous curse: Rakurium!

WHAT IS RAKURIUM!!!

Rakurium is given this name by Gibeon, due to being from Rakua. Also known by the Explorer's own company Exceed as "eternal blesssing", Rakurium is a rare, pink ore found in Rakua. It is the source of this place bounty, and the reason why so many legendaries exist there. It's a constantly renewable energy source that when faced with force, rapidly expands and increases in size and power. When unearthed from the ground via force, it begins to renew itself and create more clusters of itself. Basically an infinite expanding matter with near endless power.

It also possesses the ability to enhance the growth, longlivety and strenght of plant-life, as seen with the many large trees and sudden growth of them in various places.

With Pokémon, it enhances their powers, when they get exposed to it's gas form, allowing Spinel's Umbreon to one-shot Ceruledge the one time on Glaseado Mountain.

Lucius and Gibeon as humans lived via Rakurium's "eternal blessing", long lives with their youth preserved, as seen with Lucius for instance in the trailer for the end of the Rakua storyline, while Gibeon, being exposed to less Rakurium, only aged slightly.

However that power Rakurium holds is beyond a shadow of a doubt, VERY dangerous!!!

While it can enhance the growth of Flora, it can also due to overexposure, destroy it and leave only a barren wasteland surrounded by the pink mist of Rakurium.

That Pink mist also turns Pokémon hostile empowered by it, who would have been otherwise peaceful without exposure to that gas. Also in addition to all of this, Rakurium's ever expanding potential as renewable, even limitless power, is described by Lucius and Rystal soo dangerous and powerful, that if it's continuing to spread, it can easily overwhelm the entire world, devour it and destroy it due to it's infinite potential of power and growth. Rakua is insanely dangerous and rightfully feared and unfortunately desired by the avaricious Gibeon.

However Rakurium has a natural counter:

Terastal energy, especially emitted by the Legendary Pokémon, Terapagos, who is said to be the origin of Terastal crystals and it's power. As seen in the same episodes where Pagogo, Rystal's and now Liko's Terapagos, came in contact wiht Rakurium, it not only neutralizes it's effects, it can absorb and even empower itself with it, without going feral. Spinel thinks these powers are opposed, but I disagree, and I think they are connected to one another, in fact, I believe that...Rakurium and Terastal Energy are the same element, but diffrently charged!

Tera crystals and Rakurium theory!!

Due to the exchange of effects Tera Crystals and Rakurium have to one another, I assume they are one and the same material, or at the very least, related to one another. I am no chemist, so I have not the highest authority to speak intellectually on such a topic, so please feel free to correct me on the science, if I am wrong.

So, I assume that due to diffrent enviroments and other factors, Tera Crystals change to Rakurium and vice versa and due to this share this connection. Tera Crystals allow for the Terastal phenomenon in which the energies can change the type of a Pokémon or reinforce the power of an existing type. The Pokémon Terapagos, as a being made of Terastal power, can even attain the power of all types in the form of it's Stellar type containing each and every single of them, especially seen on it's shell having the symbol of each Pokémon type. In addition to this, Terastal energy is strong enough to even open the doors to past and future timelines, which brought the Paradox Pokémon to Paldea's great Crater. Some say Terastal crystals are not so much bringing these Pokémon from diffrent timelines and time periods, but also perhaps create these Pokémon based on expectations of others and even created these beings. Anyway Terapagos is Pokémon with powers only few Pokémon posses. The power, as the name implies, is deeply connected to that of the cosmos, perhaps it IS the very power of the cosmos. Only one Pokémon is said to be behind the powers of the universe, in fact, it CREATED it! Arceus the creator god of Pokémon according to legends, uses the plates to give it power of all types, and perhaps the plates are what allowed the Pokémon to create the universe with it, as Pokémon Legends Arceus implies told us, when the Universe was created, it's shard became plates...but what if the shards didn't all became plates and instead...something else!

Terastal Crystals and Rakurium are the building block of this universe, and all living Pokémon!

If true, this is the biggest lore upgrade since gen 4, and I wanna explain why I believe that. Typings are important in Pokémon, they give the Pokémon power and as Arceus holds with it's plates the power of all types, it clearly means that whoever has power over all types is a cosmic being, because the power of the cosmos, IS THE POWER OF ALL TYPES. As established, The universe's fragments, the star dusts created the plates with the types, and the power of these plates are within Pokémon, a.k.a their typings. The power of the universe is therefore the power of the types, and as the Stellar type is all times in unision, it must be the original type from which all originates, hence Stellar type...so Tera Crystals are the prima materia of the Pokémon world. When changed however into Rakurium, it vitalizes organisms like humans, plants and Pokémon,perhaps even affecting Prokaryotes, the first organisms. So I think this happened back then in the prehistoric past of Pokémon!

Pokémon's origin story Nr.3: A Meteor brought us Pokémon!

According to lore, Paldea's Crater was formed a millions of years ago, with the cause being unknown, but given how large the crater is, a massive meteor crashing on earth would have allowed for the creation of such a massive crater, like the one that ended the Dinosaur Age. So i assume a massive Meteor with Tera Crystals and crashed in Paldea and scathered across the world many of it's shards, with Kitakami having massive amounts of Tera Crystals there. However some of the Tera Crystals became Rakurium due to the sudden change of enviroment or were perhaps were within the Meteorite that brought Tera Crystals, and were changed prior. However both meet at one place with enough quantities to infuse with the other, while surrounding the smaller organisms that existed. These organisms fed of the Rakurium and Tera Crystal combination and became the first Pokémon, the origin of all Pokémon, Mew. As Psychic is the closest to the power of the cosmos, naturally the first Pokémon must have been a psychic type, as most of the Tera crystals were converted into Rakurium and only a small portion of Tera Crystals gave Mew the power of Psychic typings, but also the power to learn all moves as the origin of all Pokémon. With Arceus having created the universe, so did he created the Stardust that contains Tera Crystals, which in turn contained the power of the cosmos, and with some of it converting into Rakurium, landed on earth, both of it forming the building blocks for Pokémon's existence as a lifeform and thus being the missing link in the history of Pokémon's creation.

Terapagos could however be born sorely from Terastal Energy in Paldea, and being thus the personification of the very power that created the cosmos, and is the cosmos, basically being the relative to the first Pokémon and being therefore, amongst the first Pokémon in existence alongside Mew.

Speaking of Mew, with it's origins being well known, thus the location of Rakua is well known, and THAT is the final piece of evidence I super effectively use to make my final theory:

Rakua is in Guyana and Pokémon's Garden Eden!!!

Guyana is a country within the real world, it is in South America, both of which exist in Pokémon. Mew is said to originate from Guyana, as it was first discovered there, so if Rakurium and Tera energy created Mew, then that means that Rakua IS in Guyana, a place where mountains do exists, with flat-plateuas, similiarly shown in the trailer:

Rakua is said to take 100 days and night on foot from Paldea's center, but as Rystal said, they were overseas on their way to reach it, and did so, because Rayquaza helped them, meaning they first have to cross the wide oceans, and with Paldea being the based on the Iberian Penninsula, it makes sense for an overseas travel to end in South America, a place that Spain historically visited, and saw a lot of conflict due to the avarice of the explorers, in this case Gibeon and his reformed group, not the OG Explorers under Lucius...meaning he can be see as a small allegory for the Spanish's greed and colonization of places with rich resources, though that is a bit of a stretch perhaps, since that would be a hella lot of implications.

But my post isn't about this, it is about the fact that Rakua is the origin place of all Pokémon as we know them, thus being the Garden Eden of this world...with Arceus as god creating the universe, and life being created via Meteors carrying the building blocks, that being Tera Crystals and Rakurium, and forming Rakua, the Garden Eden from which the first Pokémon came from, and spread from there!

This makes Gibeon's Zygarde a perfect choice as this story's villains ace, since a snake tempted in the real world's eden humans to cost from forbidden fruits, but Lucius and Rystal resisted that temptation, Gibeon did not, and thus the original sin of greed created tragedy and evil within Horizon's world of Pokémon.

Also it would fit with the timeline from which Lucius originated, since based on our world, the search for Eden began around that time, and while we found no Tree of Knowledge, we found the place where it was based on and enriched our understanding of the world...btw that place is Mesopotamia, modern day Iraq, Syria and Kuwait e.t.c.

So based on the idea that several humans in real history set out to discover new things and new lands, Lucius's story being based on proving the existence of an actual paradise means that this story really is about discovery, but not necessarily discovery of places, but of ourself. Lucius and Rystal were heroes who respected and loved that world, Gibeon does not and needs to be stopped, especially with his insane desire for more Rakurium and even caring nothing for this world's safety, as thr trailer made clear, he would even see it die to get Rakurium. So Liko, Roy, Dot, Amethio, Friede and Lucius have to stop Gibeon from defiling the place of creation!

Conclusion: Rakua and Rakurium is Garden Eden and the Clay of Pokémon! Terastal Energy and Terapagos being part of this a well!

and yeah my fan-headcanon is that Mammon from Helluva Boss is Pansexual and as for Adam, he is Bisexual but he is still in the closet but at the same time, might not be fully aware of it.

meaning he doesn't know he is Bisexual.

also I plan to use this drawing in the future as a future chapter cover for over at Quotev, which is why both my names for here and over there is on there...might be a while until I use this for over there.

Spinel befriending Adam, could be from a Timeline where Steven does end up using the Rejuvenator on Spinel, even if in the Movie he hadn't plan to...but in a Crossover Timelines, from many different Fanon Timelines of infinite Alternate Universes.

Steven ends up using the Rejuvenator on Spinel, and possibly having Lion open up a type of warp portal, to throw Spinel into...

possibly to send her back to the Garden until he can think over how to meet her again and try to get Spinel to learn about Earth again in a different way, that doesn't involve Pink/Rose...

but instead of sending her to the Garden, Steven ends up accidentally sending Spinel to where Adam is, where he fell in battle and where he will also in fan theory by a few fans...would end up being reborn as a Sinner.

so like picture after he gets regenerated and reborn as Sinner, Adam finds a heart shaped gem next to him, and it all of a sudden starts glowing and floating in the air, and then Smaller Spinel back to how she was made (before she took on her second form and looking a bit older and taller...) ends up hugging Adam, because she ends up imprinting on him as her new "Best Friend"...

Congratulation Adam, it's a Gem...

and yeah, besides the whole Mamtella being my fave, which is Mammon x Stella, which that ship name that pop into my head still sounds like a type of food that you put on toast, and yeah one time when I had talked about that ship name, it did make me hungry.

it had made my stomach growl...

and well besides Mamtella, the Bromance of Mammon x Adam seems too perfect. O_O

I still think Valentino has a type of split personalities, which would explain his accents and how he speaks changes on his moods...

Niffty freaking him out, is one of the BEST things to happen.

even Charlie and Emily, who sing together about the how Heaven and Hell are, should have parts of that "That's My Girl" play. XD

because of the Toxic Levels of Greed that has been going on...

there can be the okay type of normal greed, then there is the levels where it can cross the freaking line.

and if I have to go even fully super Feral Earth Angel Princess on Mammon, no one hold me back...not sure if that could ever happen.

but I call dibs on his butt and slapping him as hard as I can across on his face...and yeah, my calling dibs on his butt will be different from Millie's dibs on Moxxie's butt...

and I'm talking about the Mammon from our universe of course.

though if it were possible to call dibs on the Mammon from Helluva Boss own butt for the whole wanting to kick it as well, that would be interesting as well.

but I guess maybe even if I can have that super peeved off side that comes out at times, it does seem to be better controlled...

plus there is that whole if it gets to the point when I get to hot, I need to be close to some cool air to cool down...

and my wanting to slap Mammon, even if I might not ever be able to...is like one of those feelings you want to do but know you might not be able to.

Mammon is at the top of the list of course...there is a good reason why he is at the top of the list.

and with how some humans are, is going to give me another reason to want to keep him on that list, and call dibs on wanting to go Feral Earth Angel on his sorry butt...even if it is wishful thinking, and might not be possible, but is more of a type of thinking that ya wish you could be can't really do so...

even if I can have my moments where I might can be a doormat at times and can still have my closed off side and maybe not very confident at times...but well, there can be different sides to a person, even sides where they get tired by the actions of some Eon-Boomers.

not everyone has to agree about my believing in not just God, but also Goddess as well...but don't be a Toxic-Religious person about it, and throw misused words at me like "may the lord have mercy on you." or "may god have mercy on you"...and the only reasons I bring up that is to point out that it can be misused by some Toxic-Religious people, like that jerk from a few years ago, who had to throw one of those two at me, I can't remember which version of it, but I know it was one of the two...and that jerk, is probably one of the top reasons I started to really dislike Toxic-Religious people when they cross a line.

at least some who use to be Toxic-Religious, get detoxified and become no longer Toxic-Religious...but some percent might end up staying Toxic-Religious for who knows how long.

on the day I was still working on this drawing, it ended up being a bit of bad weather, and it was lucky I had stop working on it and saved it, before things turned off for a bit...meaning the computer had turned off, but I didn't dare turn it back on right away because I didn't want to do so when the bad weather was still going on.

this took from April 1 to April 2 to finish...

so I had first started to work on it on April Fools Day...

didn't really get to play a April Fool's Prank, one of the things I did was work on this drawing, also took a breaks, and of course had to wait until some time later once things seem a bit better, to finish the drawing...

I would of seriously been super peeved if everything went off that day, when I was in the middle of working on this drawing...

it was lucky I had stop to take a break and saved it when I did.
