While Spinel was confused about bout her own reaction, Sophia was overwhelmed with her own emotions― starting to shake on the floor as she wordlessly shuffled back fearfully.

Confused as well, she looked to Spinel then to the side and the floor― unsure of what to make of the situation.

Part of her felt bad to see Spinel so sad and shocked of her own wrongdoing, but her other part was on alert― too shocked to move or speak.

Not expecting such a reaction, Sophia already had gone back to what she was doing― tidying up and cleaning up the daycare while the attendants were charging up upstairs.

It was only when Spinel shouted angrily that she looked back at her in surprise, suddenly being engulfed as her arms were wrapped around her.

The blonde suddenly screamed in fear, eyes widening up then clenching shut as started to thrash around reflexively. What was happening?! Why was she suddenly mad?! What did she say to make her so angry?!

Flashbacks of long forgotten memories flashed through her head as her senses flared up― the hairs on her arms standing up on end as tears started to flow and drip down her cheeks.

Even when Spinel let go of her, the fear did not immediately fade, the blonde falling to the plush floor as she hiccuped and whined― fearful sobs leaving her lips as she backed up while staring at Spinel.

She was looking at her with fear in her eyes.

Kid admitted as he tilted his head, that warm smile never fading. Yeah, wandering was an understatement but Spinel wouldn't know that. That and she didn't attack like some would just on sight so that's another plus in his book!

Gem Steven was sitting by Classic Steven on the floor with a complete walk through guide of Mini Golf Quest XIV, guiding the little one through the more difficult part of the games secret mini boss course. "Alright, now it says to enter the normal code you got before backwards while holding down the right trigger button for the entire duration of the keypad sequence in this room, once the keypad turns orange you need to run down, right, then right again before going up three times then opening the door second to last on the left."

"Gotcha... I hope the secret mini boss doesn't mind us barging in on whatever they were doing in their secret place, it'd be kinda rude to come in uninvited and out of the blue like that." Classic Steven replied as he was doing what Gem Steven had instructed on doing.

"Yeaa... never know what you're gonna fine when you just barge in uninvited haha... don't forget to save your game after you get to the door you need to get to, it'd suck to have to do all this again later."

Ninetales had to admit, this universe was a strange one.

Living crystals, yet unlike Terapagos and its kin. They were more akin to humans, and yet so unlike those mythical beings.

Yet humans resided in this world, too. Humans, animals, and living crystals. Yet, not a Pokemon to be seen.

Other than Ninetales herself, of course. Seeking to sate her curiousity, she had not immediately left this world upon arrival.

Instead, she traversed the paths of this town on her paws, seeking one of those living crystals, to inquire more about this strange universe.

hi! you're referring to this point i made in my tips for making your replies better:

don't forget the other muse. i think we all struggle with this one the most. we get so caught up describing our own muse and their own thoughts and actions that we forget they're interacting with someone else. try describing the other character's stance or facial expression, the way they cross their arms. maybe their makeup is really beautiful. maybe their hair is nice. maybe they smell really bad. maybe the last time your muses interacted, they had a big fight. don't take up your entire reply talking about your muse only; talk about the other character. give the other writer something to smile about and comment on - "i loved what your muse noticed about mine! i loved their observations! they were so right!" make the other writer feel seen. this is a great way to show them you're reading their replies, loving their writing, and noticing little details about their muse.

i interpret godmodding as moving the other character around without their permission, making choices for the other character, deciding what the other character says or does, forcing relationships between characters, or overall just taking control of the reply entirely.

i don't think it's godmodding to:

1. mention the other character's physical characteristics 2. mention previous interactions your muse has had with them 3. mention their headcanons or details about their muse they've posted about on their blog 4. mention that character's other canon relationships 5. read their character's about page and mention things from that in the reply

i think if you do ^ these things, people are generally supportive and get excited rather than angry. i have a main ship on my blog, so i get super excited when people mention my character's main ship partner in replies. or if someone mentions my character's height, or notices he has a curl out of place... I LOVE WHEN THAT HAPPENS. i love when people add details and notice things about my muse in replies. it makes me want to reply quicker. it makes me more excited!!

if you're ever worried about godmodding, i'd message the other person first. "is it okay if my muse mentions (this)?" "is it okay if i have my muse say (this) about yours?"

when in doubt, communicate. ask if you're worried. but if you're incorporating someone's prominent headcanon, a factual part of their physical characteristics, or a canon event into your reply... i don't see why someone would be upset by that. in my opinion of course!

There's a lot of questions stirring around Johnny's head as he stares at the girl in front of him. Why is she pink? Is that, like, body paint or something? Even if it is, why would anyone just be wearing colorful body paint all willy nilly? And what's that gemstone-looking thing sticking out of her chest?

In the midst of his thoughts, he fails to realize just how hard he's staring, though. Even with the sunglasses obscuring his eyes, Spinel could practically feel him looking right through her. Does he even have a single coherent thought going on in that head of his? Jeez...

Human Steven didn't think, he just moved. He rushed to Spinel's aid, summoning a shield out of thin air, and slammed the anon away from Spinel. The shield making a clanking noise as it made contact with the anonymous creature. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the visage of a humanoid form with sunshade disapate in a puff of smoke, with no gem left behind.

Human Steven was solely focused on trying to get Spinel to stop hurting herself. His first instinct was to block her hands from her gem. He held her wrists with a firm grip bubbling their hands together on both sides so she couldn't stretch them to summon anything from her gem to hurt herself with.

"Spinel, I know we haven't exactly formally met yet, nor is this exactly the scenario I would have seen myself in seeing another Spinel... But please don't hurt yourself." Human Steven replied, putting aside all his own feelings in an effort of trying to comfort this Spinel.

"I know that some people might get under your skin and say the things that confirm those nasty thoughts we feel about ourself... they have no idea who you are, and they have no right to say those things about you." He replied.
