LOCATION: the lake TIMESTAMP: POOL PARTY @museinitalics
Bodhi wasn't one to enjoy these kind of event. Not that he didn't like swimming, or that he couldn't, but he still recalled the fun event that led up to the previous disappearances, and he knew that these types of things were breeding grounds for such things.
Still, he was in his swimming trunks, a cheap plastic pair of red sunglasses, and slippers. He was mostly there to keep an eye on things, but he couldn't ignore that it was very warm, and he'd very much like to get into the water. He frowned when he saw Joel, and walked up to him. "I did key you for the sporty type, are you here for swimming, volleyball, beach football?"

LOCATION: pool/lake party TIMESTAMP: 25th of June @wordsmithings
Nishant loved pool parties, though he wasn't so sure what you'd call one happening at the lake of all places. It was definitely an over-sized pool with some very dangerous side tracks. He figured lake party didn't have the same fun tone as pool party did, so he elected to call it lake picnic, because like the university picnic last October, it included all the food trucks again. Those were certainly his favourite to visit around the full moon, but it was a regular day, a summer solstice perhaps, but still a normal day. He grinned broadly as he watched so many men without shirts on, parading around in their swimming trunks (most went modest and got those long beach ones, though a few got speedos instead. He wanted to thank every person in a speedo, but that would take too long and be awkward.
He was looking around with twinkling eyes, when his attention fell upon Reza, who also had traded his UK-weather approved outfits for the Florida summer vibe. Nishant was still wearing a tank top, mostly because he had yet to use his sunscreen. He continued to grin, opting for a little wave to get Reza's attention. "Wait, are you volunteering for life-guard?" He asked. "Because you're welcome to save my life any day."

THE SUMMER EQUINOX
IC DATE: 21th of June till 25th of June OOC DATE: 11th of June till 25th of June PARTICIPATION: mandatory THREADS OUTSIDE OF EVENT: allowed! TAG TO USE: #fenrirsummerequinox NOTES: this marks the end of the first part of the event
The day after the Full Moon, most citizens of Fenrir’s Wood woke up to find their devices having gone back to normal. During the day the final connections were restored. While there was no real cause to be found, the local electrical company responsible for the network issues a statement that one of the connections got fried and that was why it went offline for a while - despite that being pretty made-up.
The Council came together the day after to discuss the shock-wave, and the tree - which locals said had split apart because of thunder, despite there having been no official statements about this - split apart just before the full moon. But life goes on, no matter the constant blast of omens, no matter the strange sensation of something coming for them. June got warmer, and to fight the sadness and uncertainty most people felt, locals decided to do a pool party. Although not actually at the pool because Fenway Pool was a bit too small to house enough of them, instead at the lake.
During the weekend of the 21st of June, the lake area was in full activity: pools were set up, picnic tables collected and set out, food carts came from all over, people mashed together to bathe in the sun and take a dip in the lake. It almost felt like the whole city had come to the lake-side. The witches and Werewolves too have come out, knowing the Summer Equinox is a powerful time for all Supernaturals. Most of them are there to enjoy the summer sunshine, some wary that any day now: something could happen.
Ooc; this is the second part of the event! A fun summer pool party to celebrate the summer equinox! Have fun!

LOCATION: the duck Pond TIMESTAMP: 6th of June @museinitalics
Zhyan heard the crashing sound like everyone else, he'd been near the Duck Pond, keeping a careful distance, but seated with his things out, trying to understand the voices of the spirits within the circle, his head buzzing with the feeling of these spots. He shot up and quickly collected his things into his backpack, before running out back towards the swimming pool. His hair was standing on end, this feeling of dread wrapping over him. He was so quick and frantic that he almost collided with a familiar face, the Werewolf who'd driven him on the 1st of January. He looked surprised for a moment, eyes widening, before catching himself. "Did you hear that?" He asked, looking around, but no longer certain where the sound had come from. "That sounded… big."

Where: The Velvet
With: Marsden Augustus Lee (@museinitalics)
When: During the power surge event
Reza took a sip of his beer as he slipped a fiver into Mars’ tight pants, letting his hand linger before it fell to his side. He hadn’t expected to meet anyone from his past here in Fenrir’s Wood, least of all Mars. Never in his wildest dream either to have his friend gave him a lap dance, but here they were. Reza looked at Mars as he moved on top of him. He had more tattoos compared to the last time he saw him, and it made him wonder if Mars had covered every inch of his skin with tattoos except for his face. It wouldn’t be surprising if that was the case. “I still can’t believe we meet again after all these years.” Reza shook his head, taking another sip of his beer. “And you’re with a kid now? Didn’t know you had it in you.”

Bodhi stared at her, but he didn’t try to argue with her on it. Whatever Evanora had done, he didn’t have access to. He wouldn’t be able to prove she was a good person purely on what he’d seen of her. After all, she might act completely different with other people. But he didn’t need assumptions to know she was hurt, that she was not able to mend everything she was fighting against, that the cracks kept growing and bandages weren’t aplenty. “I’ll stop,” he said, though it wasn’t a promise. He could never stop trying to figure people out. “Are you talking about the spirits?” he asked. “Are they the ones showing you what I’m made of?” because if so, he imagined the witches of Fenrir’s Wood saw her too, and they let her stay, so she couldn’t be as bad as she thought she was.
Bodhi was silently walking along, he didn't raise his voice to offer words that would fall on deaf ears, he simply came along to deliver her to where she needed to go, as promised. If she wished to talk, he’d talk along, if not, he’d be silent. Confusion settled on his face when Evanora raised her hand towards his, he could see the magic, but barely, it was tendrils of something that was beyond his recognition. So he only looked up at her face, watching the shadow pass over it. She told him to stop, but once she started to walk again, he followed, though at a slight distance.
he was right; she was far from believing that he was who he seemed to be; even if he offered her kindness, even if she was foolishly beginning to trust him - she was well aware he was more than he was letting her assume he was. and that terrified her, more than she seemed to terrify him; he seemed unbothered by the fact that her unfriendliness could turn hostile, deadly, because she was selfish and for her it would be easier to trade his life, than save it. "then stop assuming shit about me." a whisper laced with darkness that consumed. "it's not going to end well for you.' her words did not offer a threat; he would not fall by her hand, not in the sense that his life would end, but that his care for her would; whatever they had would only lead to disappointment. "you're human, you're allowed to belive in that, and i see you- " a beat. "i see what you're made of - the good, and the bad, but what good i had left, before - i traded it for something better." she admitted; softly, breathlessly almost, "my magic is all i have left."
she nodded; reluctantly at first, lips lifting in a barely visible smile. she hung to her suitcase as they walked out, into the cold air, into a path paved with darkness; she enjoyed the unknown, loved to dive into something she did not know the very core of; and when she closed her eyes on the way, she could almost feel freedom slipping through her fingers. she only wanted to wander and wander and never settle; simply drift for away, where those fuckers wouldn't find her. their walk was silent, she only looked at him through the corners of her eyes; making sure he was still there, even if she did not wish for him to be, even if she wished he would -
there was a sift in the atmosphere that she couldn't forsee. sudden and swift; she could feel a tightning on her throat and a tingling along her arms. dark orbs traced down to her palms, where the sparks of her magic were evident. she froze in one place in order to get a better sense on what was causing for her magic to react. her arm almost instantly extended in bodhi's directon; palm going to his chest, her slender arm lenghtened and serving as a fucking stop sign that she hoped he would not push through. she couldn't speak, but she could feel it in her bones - the darkness that was tugging on her insides, the same one that was now pulling her to a place she did not wish to go on. this wasn't the plan; fuck, if she even had a plan to behind with. this wasn't it - especially with bodhi around.
the pull. she couldn't ignore it; her feet walked into a direction she couldn't quite figure out; it was dark, but even in daylight, there were still corners of this place she had not explored. the sense of dread, it was wrapping around her like a veil.

TIMESTAMP: 6th of June @evanoraray
Bodhi was going through his phone, annoyed that he couldn't make calls nor send messages, with the whole network being down. He wondered if someone had blown up the cell towers - he knew that to have happened before - or maybe someone had driven into an electricity plant and it had shut off the whole block, though he'd think he would still have 4g. He couldn't call nor use the internet, nor any wifi nearby. He could think of a few ways that it could've happened, but he didn't need to figure out the scientific reasons to know it was Supernatural. Especially during the Full Moon, it simply made sense.
He spotted Evanora, studying her from a distance. What important things could anyone be doing on a Tuesday evening, he wondered. He walked up to her, he had a paper map in his hands, the spots circled where he'd found the strange sensations. He avoided those, but he did like to study those who came closer. "It's been a while," he commented, nodding at her in greeting. "What are you up to?"

TIMESTAMP: 22nd of June LOCATION: the lake @museinitalics
“I’m in my element,” Nishant said, grinning from ear to ear as they came upon the lakeside with some kegs from the bar in tow. He was here to do a bit of work and then he would very likely sneak off to swim. “I can’t believe how quickly they turned this place into something actually decent, because every time I come here, it’s as if a garbage truck has toppled over and threw all its contents over the side into the water.” He laughed at his own joke. “You’re joining me for a swim later right?” He asked, looking at his boss hopefully. “Look, they put a big floating rafts in the lake, I have to swim to it, it’s calling me.”

THE JUNE FULL MOON
IC DATE: 6th of June till 21th of June OOC DATE: 28th of May till 21th of June PARTICIPATION: mandatory THREADS OUTSIDE OF EVENT: allowed! TAG TO USE: #fenrirsummerequinox NOTES: this is a two-part event, with the second part dropping in 2 weeks
All things have been quiet so far, since the most recent murder nothing has happened, at least not for the general population of Fenrir’s Wood. The strange lack of Magic continues to happen, whenever the next Full Moon nears, several Witches find they grow weaker for several days before coming back to full strength, as if something is seeping them dry. And as it does: the Empty Spots - which have continued to be off-limits to the public - have continued growing. Not in size, but in power. The vacuum in some feels far more pressing, the power in others can be felt from miles away. Every Witch can now exactly tell where they are, even if the mists were to return, even with their eyes closed.
Odin’s Tree is still the most powerful place in the whole of Fenrir’s Wood thanks to the ritual of the May Full Moon. But it merely stands as something to fall back on now, as a power to tap into when the next child of Loki appears.
Or it was supposed to. The shift was felt throughout the city, even by humans, though they experienced it more as the release of pressure, as if a summer storm was upon them, but no storm came.
And then the static, laying bare all technology using waves once again. Followed by a loud thundering crash, the police scramble to keep the public from entering the Lord’s Wood on the night of the Full Moon.
Ooc; this is a two-part event. The first part is surrounding the Full Moon, the static, and the loud crash, which will slowly be revealed in the coming week. It will be followed by the next part of the event surrounding the Summer Equinox (on the 21st of June). Below the read more are once again the lists of the SEVEN & the FIVE DREAMERS
THE SEVEN DREAMERS:
OH CHUNG-AE ZHYAN SURI REZA HARRIS AXEL SULLIVAN OPEN OPEN OPEN
THE FIVE DREAMERS:
NISHANT DOSHI JOEL EDGAR ROJAS OPEN OPEN OPEN

Playing football with the other police officers, he wondered if any of them would judge Joel for inviting the private detective. After all, with the weeks passing, they saw him more as a glorified donut grabber than an actual help to the investigation. He did turn up with plenty of nothings, but he also made sure to solve some cases on the side. There was enough to do in a city of a hundred thousand inhabitants. “I’ll think about it,” he responded. “Wouldn’t want to scare them even more by appearing in their free time as well. By now I am certain they think all I do is sit at my desk and drink coffee,” he offered in joke, though simply to see if Joel agreed.
"Just for fun," Joel said back, "Don't really have the time to commit for a team but a lot of the people at the station get together a few days a week when we can." It was good team building and destressing after long hours and time spent at a desk. "You should come by. We normally play football," and since Bodhi had said he didn't often do so he didn't entirely think the other man would accept but extending the offer to be polite.

Bodhi had the decency to look surprised at her admittance, she hadn't looked like the type to leave. Not suddenly at least, but perhaps he should've picked it up much earlier, the flightiness of her personality. "I'm sad to hear that," he said, and it was genuine. Not that he felt they were on friendly terms, but she was the type of person he'd run in and knew couldn't ignore. Whether she'd needed his help or he could've used some, there was a connection there that was hard to ignore. He felt like Evanora leaving meant a terrible loss for them. "Where are you headed?" He asked, figuring that he'd run into her if she stayed on the Island.
He held the map up a bit, and shrugged. "Aren't I always?" He asked with a wink. He wasn't so quick to tell Evanora all the map entailed. Not because he didn't think she knew already, but because he wondered if he'd just be coming up with reasons to make her stay. "You are leaving on the evening of the full moon? That's an interesting choice."
"leaving." she spoke; after a moment of thought, wether or not she should tell bodhi the truth. "leaving this fucked up place." her other hand held to her phone, once again checking if the damn thing was working, alas - darkness stared back at her. her right hand was clutching tight the handle of her suitcase; small, and cracked on the surface, only consisting of a few nesecceties and nothing more. she didn't own much, and her suitcase was always packed, and ready. she'd accepted the fact that she'd always be on the run; never settling down at one place for too long; someone might find her, fate might catch up and then - she'd be another victim of her family's bad karma, of the destiny she did not want to follow, shoes she did not fit into.
bodhi. there's a voice inside her head and tangling along her skin and a nagging sense that reminds her of who he is and what he's done for her. and now as she stared at him it only screamed louder. fuck.
but leaving was good. leaving meant she couldn't watch him disappear or disintegrate or die. like all the rest.
her gaze dropped down to the map in his hands, "you looking for trouble again?" she arched her brows; full lips rolling together.

Bodhi took a deep breath. Then hummed as he thought of an answer. She was not running to a place, but running away from Fenrir's Wood. "I will miss my guardian angel," he said, grinning. Hoping to hit a nerve, which was manipulative of him, but while she pretended not to care, he knew she'd protect him if he ever got into supernatural business that he couldn't talk himself out of. After all that was his one strength: to charm himself out of a tight situation. But one couldn't really speak to Werewolves.
He frowned, perhaps Evanora had forgotten she was talking to a human who supposedly knew nothing of her kind, or she was so freaked out that she had thrown all care out of the window. It was rather pleasant to be talking on true terms instead of keeping things hidden all the time. With things out in the open, he didn't have to be careful about how he spoke about things anymore. "I am, it seems like those spots might do odd things during the Full Moon, so I'm certain I'll find something interesting there if I go looking for it now. You're welcome to join?" Just to keep her there a little longer.
her eyes remained on him, as if she was studying him; waiting for a crack in his fascade that made his words to be anything but genuine; it was cruel for him to offer her kindness, when she had decided to deprive herself of things like that; like comfort - doozing off on his couch, because the wether had turned monstrous outside, and it was the only damn time she had trusted someone enough to fall asleep under the same roof without fearing ulterior motives. where was she headed anyway? nowhere. everywhere. anywhere.
"no idea." a sigh fell off her lips, as she lifted her shoulders in a light shrug, "but i'll figure it out." i always do.
the more they talked, the tighter her grip on the handle of her suitcase became; it should've been the opposite, each word they spoke should have convinced her to stay, alas - she believed he would fade; him and this fucking place, they would all fade into the back of her mind.
"yeah, i'm not in the mood for the whole ritual thing again, i think i'll sit that coven meeting out. " her lips curled into a smirk; light and playful, a rare sight, one bodhi was deserving of, every once in a while. "are you going to one of the spots?" she didn't need to look at his silly, investigator map to know what he was up to.

Nishant grinned. “Same, very much same. I don’t know… I always start sweating and trying to remember if I renewed our alcohol licence, or whether I’ve accidentally sold alcohol to a minor, so I definitely get what you mean.” He smiled at the laughter, however, it fitted the sun, and the general vibe of the event, which he hoped would last much longer than the next sunday. They could use sunny weather like this, after everything that had happened last year. “Oh no, I’m merely projecting,” he said with a laugh. “Because I would’ve forgotten… that I got it, I mean, obviously I have lists so I don’t forget to get it.” He continued to set things up, wondering as to how many people they’d have to warn later on not to drink too much in this hot weather.
"I always get nervous serving law enforcement," Chae admitted with a short burst of laughter, "Somehow... feels like they're trying to catch me doing something I'm not supposed to," then laughed again when the implication of the other's words hit, "Are you implying that I would have forgotten if you hadn't? Rude," and clicked his tongue under his breath though the smile still held on his features gave way no such feelings of discontent at the teasing joke.

Zhyan swallowed, but was he really afraid? Perhaps he couldn’t get over the idea of meeting one of Loki’s Children, he’d heard the others had survived, but barely, only because Odin, the allfather, God of… Wisdom, he thought, came in between and saved them all. Because Helia thought of healing one of the fallen riders. He had to respect Helia’s quick thinking, her intelligence in a situation like that. If he and Joel now walked into one of the other children of Loki, how well would they fare? “Do you uhm… do you know a lot about Norse Mythology?” he asked, as he followed Joel, biting his lip. He felt cold and awkward. He was going to head into the fray regardless, he wasn’t thrown off by it. Maybe.
Joel's own actions stalled, limbs tensing to stop the forward propelled motion so rapidly that it caused his feet to stutter against the ground in an almost cartoonish manner. It took a second of mental processing to register what Zhyan had asked him and an even longer second before he pulled his phone from his pocket and glanced down, "No," he confirmed the negative. No signal. "Guess it's just us," he inclined his head, "Coming?"

The picture Mars painted made him chuckle, his lips curled into a half-smile. “Careful. You might make the ghost fall in love with you too easily if you treat it like that. Then you’ll have another hauntin’ on your hand.” It took some getting used to once again to understand Mars’ way of speaking, though Reza supposed it could say the same with his own accent, seeing that he didn’t used the ole Queen’s English but a watered-down Cockney accent instead, peppered with broken Spanish he’d learnt from Miguel every now and then. Still, he had always been able to pick up languages and the way people speak easily, so it wasn’t that difficult to understand Mars once he got used to it.
He felt the minute shift in the air while he was enjoying Mars’ performance, seconds before the lights went out. The shift was palpable, as if a tight coil of energy was released into the air like a summer storm upon them. Reza sucked in a breath when he felt the charge surging inside him, the chaotic magic that he barely managed to contain went haywire. Spirits buzzing incessantly around him, more so than usual. It took everything in him not to release the excess magic in an enclosed space, digging his nails into his jeans and his skin hoping that the pain would distract him enough.
The harsh light came flickering back on, the music felt so loud after the agonising seconds of silence that Reza automatically closed his eyes and clenched his jaw, fighting the overwhelming sensation that assaulted him. A dry laughter escaped his lips at Mars’ deadpan remark, leaning his forehead against Mar’s chest. “Yeah. Fuckin’ ghosts.” He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. “Let me lean on you for a minute, hm. I need a minute.”
"I think it was a ghost witch," Mars replied though the idea of a ghost stripper that Reza suggested was amusing and his own lips curled. When Mars smiled it had a tendency to look mocking even when it wasn't. "Actually, I took da ghost home, gave it some soup, pat on da head, told it to stay awhile, lay its weary head to rest," his mocking catlike grin grew wider at the exaggerated recollection, his re-telling a mixture of imagination and reality. He was often times difficult to understand, speaking in a language entirely unique to himself. He'd only known one other person who could understand him. "I think dat did da trick cuz I ain't seen da ghost 'round here no more." He rolled his hips forward, tensed his quads, started to lift himself up in a fluid motion when there was a huge pop and everything in the room died, all the lights, all the music and for one very long second it was entirely silent like all the air had been sucked out of the room. By the time Mars blinked blindly into the dark, one person screamed and then it was a rippling effect that sent a shockwave of panic.
The human didn't move, remained on Reza's lap but was aware of the rapid shuffling of bodies. Someone nudged into his arm, maybe it was Reza, maybe it was someone else, he couldn't tell, his eyes hadn't adjusted to the lack of light yet and then it was back, flickering luminescence overhead that blinded. His eyes fluttered against the now harsh seeming lights. Everyone in the room appeared to be in varying states of confusion, panic and disarray, except for Mars. He was oddly calm.
He looked toward Reza and commented flatly, "Fuckin' ghosts, amiright?"

Zhyan looked confused for a moment, then a blush settled on his face as he considered how he'd flung himself out of the way of the Duck's Pond and probably looked like he'd been running from something. Maybe he had been, he wasn't sure why he'd ran away from the Empty Spot, it wasn't as if it came from there. It was deeper into the woods. "I'm okay," he said quickly. "Just… uhm, spooked." That seemed like the correct way to phrase it. Though it felt more akin to called to action, their heart forcing their limbs to move, to figure it out. He hadn't figured that Joel might actually suggest heading for the sound, but he was glad that he did, instantly he felt more confident. He nodded, before making a move to follow. He got his phone out, trying to send a message to the group chat, but stopped in his tracks when he didn't even get a signal, it only said 'no service'. "Do you have service?" He asked.
Saying it sounded big was a gross understatement, far too preoccupied with seeking out the source so he was slow to react, narrowly avoiding a physical collision with a familiar witch. Well, partly familiar, and Joel swallowed down a wry comment about not recognizing him with his clothes on, not to mention it had been months since they'd seen each other last. Joel had all but almost forgotten the unfortunate encounter and now here they were again, face to face with another situation.
First things first, "Are you okay?" Big crashing sound followed by someone running often times meant something happened so Joel quickly scanned over the other man to determine whether he'd been hurt by something. Fortunately, it didn't seem like he had been near the source of the crashing sound. "I did hear it," quick to business, Joel never crumbled under pressure and always appeared calm and under control no matter the situation he found himself in; an important attribute for being one of the leading members of his pack, he set the tone for how the rest should respond. "It was this way," confident that his ears would lead them toward the source.
