Lucinda had a light bulb go off in her head at the housekeepers words. She needed somewhere to hide stay currently. "Well, if that's the case, are y'all hiring?" She smiled back and shifted slightly. "I don't have a resume on me or anything...or much experience. But, I can learn quick and work hard."

"Well no, I'm technically the housekeeper, but since the place is so small I do other jobs too. The front desk person is supposed to make the cookies and muffins, but if we're being honest here, she isn't the best at it and she claims she doesn't have the time, so I offer to do it." She smiled.

calum   opens   his   mouth   to   speak   but   when   the   woman   on   the   other   side   of   the   counter   continues   talking   ,   he   closes   it   ,   quickly   realizing   she   isn't   waiting   for   an   answer.   she   has   given   this   spiel   before   ,   it   seems   ,   by   the   way   the   words   easily   tumble   from   her   lips.   he's   trying   to   keep   track   of   everything   she's   telling   him   ,   weighing   the   pros   and   cons   of   what   his   daughter   will   think   of   the   place   and   if   it'll   be   worth   a   stay.   but   the   thing   is   ,   he's   short   on   cash   (   after   their   original   hotel   fell   through   )   and   there   aren't   many   options   for   him   to   choose   from.   and   besides   ,   sophie   isn't   addicted   to   phones   and   the   internet   like   her   peers   (   yet.   .   .something   calum   is   actually   proud   of   her   for   )   so   the   wifi   won't   be   an   issue.   he   could   be   the   cool   dad   and   let   her   watch   a   rated   r   movie   while   she's   on   vacation   with   him   ,   but   he   doesn't   really   see   that   happening.   fresh   muffins   and   cookies   though?   sophie   will   easily   be   sold   on   those.

Lily smiled. "Well how long are you planning on staying in town? The price will depend on that. Now if you books now for three nights I have give you a deal. $90 bucks, now listen I know it sounds cheap and you're thinking what's the catch? Well, the wifi is crap and we get about four good TV stations, but we do have VHS rentals. I recommend The Lost boys, but be kind and rewind. Also there's muffins fresh in the morning made by yours truly and cookies in the evening. There's coffee all day but I will say. I'm not the best at making it."

Lily smiled. "Is it?" She asked. "Is that why you're here? For the danger? I mean it's not a dangerous town, but there are some reckless thigs to do."

cricket's not a nice girl, never has been. never will be. so when someone suggested playing truth or dare, despite the fact that they're all way too old, she agreed. just because they're all drunk off their asses and cricket can dole out the most degrading dares to whoever's brave enough to choose that option. "hmm," she begins, pretending to think. she takes a swig of her cinnamon whiskey, swallows, and her face lights up like she's got the best idea. "i dare you... to do a striptease for us." there. now that'll be embarrassing.

"Oh gosh." Lily said with a sigh, thinking. "Alright. Lets see. Fuck it, I'm gonna go with dare cause I am feeling like having some fun, now come on, give me a good one."

Lucinda wasn't complaining there was no big full breakfast. This was the safest place for her right now. A roof over her head and food was all she needed. "Thanks," Lucinda reached for a muffin and took a bit, "it's been a while sense I've had anything homemade. Are you like the cook here?" Lucinda took a bite, they were absolute bliss.

Lily chuckled and watched the other. "Sorry it's a motel, we don't have continental breakfast, but the muffins are good. I was here before the sun was up making them." She said matter of factly.

"They're made with love I promise."

"Dollars..." A tinge of unease comes at the realization that she might not hold such currency. She is convinced she has never held it, before, anyway. Plus, the girl speaks of strange things she doesn't recall having heard of before. Wifi, VHS... She does know of a pool, the one to revere the Divine! To think they'd have one here... "Oh? Cookies sound delightful... But, I'm afraid I do not have such currency with me. Is there any other way I can pay? I'll do anything. I'd love to try that pool of yours, and one of the beds, if possible."

Lily looks up and smiles. "Yeah. It's 30 dollars a night." She says softly. "It's the cheapest you'll fine out here." We're not anything real special. No wifi and we only got a few channels that come through, but you can pick a VHS to watch and we got a pretty nice pool out back too." She explained. "Plus fresh cookies all day, and breakfast in the morning."

" he knew it wasn't drops but rather a river of blood on that sheet. he's usually careful. he was so used to hiding this kind of thing from his brother that maybe now he was alone, visiting every city and trying to live the life he had lost, this thing made him loose every ounce of kindness that he had? when he saw lily upset and trying to clean the blood on the sheet, he approached her as he took the sheet and started to run the water in the bathtub, making it soak as he took some detergent. " here. i'll clean it and try to be careful next time. " hoping that his smile would calm her down a little, he went back to working on the sheet he had to clean.

"Alright. Well I don't know what that means..." Lily shrugged. She didn't like fancy words. "But there is still the matter of the ruined sheets. Look I don't care to know what happened, but blood is not easy to get out and as it's my job to clean the sheets I feel like I deserve some help here."

"that was quite convincing," he remarked, his smile a genuine reflection of his thoughts. "and i must admit, that was rather charming," he added, his honesty shining through with even greater clarity. taking a bite from the portion he had set aside, he savored the flavors before him.

"i've only known tales of love," seok-ho murmured softly, each word laden with a longing for deeper understanding. "i find elation in discussing it, even though it's dangerous when you circle too much around it." his curiosity bloomed, a desire to unravel more of her narrative lingering in his gaze. "would you be willing to share more of your thoughts on love, if you too find the courage to speak of it?"

Lily looked a him and smiled. "Well I guess that's true." She nodded. "I find like to be very interesting." She added. "It's like a drug and like you said, venomous."

She looked at the baked good in his hand and she put her hands over his and leaned forwards to take a bite. She pulled back and let out a small laugh, wiping her mouth. I bit embarrassed. She was glad that the front desk lady wasn't working. She'd be scolding her.

"See, perfectly safe and tasty." She nodded.

"have you ever heard that love, too, could be venomous? ---- or something along those lines?" with a playful tilt to his words, seok-ho delivered this response, though truth be told, he hadn't lingered in this realm for long, and his previous stays in other cities bore memories not entirely pleasant, particularly those from motel rooms. hence, he split the muffin in half, holding one piece within easy reach of his companion—she could easily bite it from his hand if she wished. "so, if we are to be poisoned, let us partake of it together, shall we?"
