Places to go on a Date
Date nights are always fun. Whether it’s the first date or you’ve been married for years or you’re taking one of your children on a special ‘date’ night out. Here are four restaurants that are amazing ideas for any special occasions.
1.    The Old Spaghetti Factory. This place is fancy without having to be formal. With a great ambiance and sculptures and things to look at like marry-go-round style horses. Despite their name, they have other things besides pasta on the menu such as salads and ribs. Really hungry? For just a little extra most pasta dishes can be ‘factory sized’ into bigger portions.
2.    Canoe. Completely devoted to Canadian ingredients, Canoe strives to take their patrons all over the country by showing off Canada’s landscape, history and culture (Canoe, 2017). With a very formal atmosphere plus special seasonal lunch and dinner menu’s, this is defiantly a great place to go for celebrations.
3.    Paramount. This middle eastern restaurant strives to be as authentic as possible with renowned international chefs and recipes passed down generation to generation (Paramount Fine Foods, 2017). Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year this is a great place choose to celebrate any special occasion with all day food options, breakfast, lunch and dinner choices respectively, as well as vegetarian options. With all the meat being halal and Ontario raised.
4.    Bloom. This restaurant is a unique and elegant experience. With a mixture of Latino and Spanish influence, they strive to provide a happy and relaxing atmosphere while also staying true to their culture and roots (Bloom, 2017). Open for both lunch and dinner with a special set of ingredients specifically for fall, they are sure to have something on their menu for everyone, no matter what the occasion.

Places to go with Children
Traveling with kids of any age is always an adventure on its own. And finding something to eat that everyone likes is even harder. Here are my top picks for places to go with children of any ages.
1.    Fran’s Restaurant. This is a cute little 80s style diner. They have amazing rustic style food. With a lot of different sandwiches, salads, and burger as well as an all-day breakfast they have something for everyone. With everything from chocolate French toast to a caramelized apple and bacon topped jumbo waffle Fran’s is perfect to take children.
2.    Fresh’s. Looking for a healthy option for food? Fresh is a little chain of restaurants with great tasting food. They have lots of different choices and with make it yourself meals it makes it a lot of fun for children to decide exactly what they want to eat.
3.    Pizzeria Libretto. Pizza is a favorite food no matter how old you are. They have lots of different types of pizza, as well as meals that you can get that include pizza, salad, and gelato (Ice Cream). With a kids’ menu that gives the chance of them picking their own pizza that comes with a scoop of gelato just for them.
4.    Mexico Lindo. This place is full of culture and tradition and is amazing to go to with kids. With lots of different things on the menu from regular nachos to build your own combos and even a kids’ menu, they have a little bit of everything for everyone. And with desserts that include deep fried ice cream, they have something new for everyone to try.

Places to Satisfy any Sweet Tooth
Going out for a sweet treat is one of the best things to do with friends, family, that special someone, by yourself, with your dog… OK so getting a sweet treat is always the best thing to do. There is so many different options to choose from especially in a big city like Toronto so here are my top 5 favs;
1)         Eva’s Original. This cute little dessert house is amazing. They make fresh Chimney cakes and what they call chimney cones, basically a doughnut ice cream cone. All made with all-natural ingredients with everything from Nutella to Mango syrup as toppings.
2)         Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. This place has been a classic for over 35 years. With everything from truffles to bark to ice cream, they have something to satisfy any sweet tooth. And with Halloween a few weeks away their candy apples are perfect to get you into the spirit.
3)         Bang Bang Ice Cream. Despite its name, this parlor sells a wide verity of desserts including cookies, Cinnamon buns, and puffs. With unique ice cream flavours like Burnt Toffee, Cinnamon Toast, and Lychee Raspberry it’s a must for ice cream lovers.
4)         Uncle Tetsu’s. If you’ve never tried Japanese cheesecake before then it’s a must for people with adventurous tastes. Unlike normal cheesecakes, these ones are airy and almost spongy, and just as delicious as their creamy counterparts.
5)         Dufflet. This classic bakery is perfect for going out with a group of friends when you all want different things. With pies, cakes, ice cream, brownies and cookies, they have every flavour you can think of from a chocolate raspberry truffle Queen of Cake® to a smores bar to a Canadian classic, the Nanaimo bar. As well if you are planning a party or celebration Dufflet will also cater with a wide verity of their desserts.

Places that don’t Break the Bank
Toronto is an expensive city. No matter if you’re a tourist or a local. Although one of the most expensive things to get in the city is food. Thankfully no matter what your taste there are lots of different places you can go without having to resort to going the fast food route.
Of all the nice places to stop for breakfast in the city. Nowhere is as homely as Aunties and Uncles (74 Lippincott Ave, Toronto). With a full menu with everything from omelets to pancakes to waffles, all for under $10 each.  It’s the perfect spot for a lazy brunch when on vacation or a cute place for a morning meeting. The only catch is that it’s all cash sales, but with prices like this restaurant, that point isn’t always a deal breaker.
If you’re looking for simple lunch look no further than Cora’s Pizza (656A Spadina Av Toronto). With a wide menu of sandwiches, pasta, and salads all under $10 and with pizzas ranging from $17 (small) to $26 (extra large) and with coupons available on their website it is great if you’re going for a group outing.
Interested in trying something unique for an evening out? Something new to try might be Jumbo Empanadas (245 Augusta Avenue, Toronto), a small authentic Chilean eatery. With multiple different types of empanadas including a vegetarian option with no meat at all. With them going for around $5 each this is a great place to go for a different taste for dinner.
