Sorry to interrupt Bianca! I suddently felt inspired to help my fellow Hinny lovers to navigate the world of fanfiction.

To start, anything by @annerbhp; the best characterization you’ll find of them, hands down. I can’t tell you how much The Changeling means to me and how many nights and weekends I spent thinking about some quote that struck me and helped me expand my views and opinions. You really can’t get it out of your head, I swear!

The Neck thing by morphin3 (@beks21); they have a lot of other great Hinny stories as well, very sweet and heartwarming.

Nerve by alrightginger; it’s a fembisexual!Harry that falls in love with Ginny much the same as the dorky Harry we know from canon. I think I’ve been pleading for the author to continue this oneshot for a year now, such a wonderfully well-written piece. Every feels months I go back to reread it.

Scattering Blooms at Her Watery Grave by dirgewithoutmusic; sorry, it’s not actually Hinny, more like Ginny-centric but I just really love it? Please read it! If by any chance you don’t know this author, check out their ‘the girl who lived’ AU!

Okay, now for the classics. I’ve always loved the oldies cause most of them were written before even HBP or DH came out, so the authors had a LOT of room to explore how the ending might have been like.

The Seventh Horcrux by Melindaleo; I actually can’t believe it took me so long to find it, it’s so good and VERY plot driven, which I love!! Some details might bug you a bit, but the overall is so precious you distinctly remember scenes from the story years after reading it.

After the End*by Sugar Quill; Might be the best take I’ve ever read on the post-war AU. Not only does it have amazingly written Hinny to cry over, but the Romione scenes are also quite lovely, along with Fleur/Bill and Sirius/Remus (but that’s just my take). It helped me theorize how the Wizarding World dealt with reconstructing everything and coping with the deaths. Ginny might be OOC at times, but I don’t mind that much. READ IT!!

The Awakening Power by sib-ff; This might be a controversial opinion, but I truthfully adored this fic. It’s one of those ‘Harry takes matters into his own hands’ narratives, except it actually does take the time to gradually develop his magic skills without it being absurd, and show realistic scenarios too. Not to say that a lot of things didn’t irk me, but I am such a sucker for slow burn and friends-to-lovers stories (without the love triangle mixed with jealously thing, thank heavens), that every so often I go back to reread just for the greatness that is Hinny’s whole love development!

I’m definitely forgetting other great ones. Might add some more later! :)
